I just watched episode 36. It's really sweet how CF took care of YH when he was sick. But I'm still hoping for GX and YH to end up together, even after all that she's done to him.

I've noticed in the screencaps from episode 28 that SYH isn't wearing his wedding ring when he's with GX and then in episode 29 he is wearing it and you see CF with hers. I guess you guys were pretty accurate with the prediction of how the ending to the series will go.

err, the ending was not really predicted, the ending to this series was like known even before they started filming this~~ because it's based on a novel~~and in episode 38 w/ guan and su, that scene happened think when dr. su is already married to cui feng.~ the wedding will be tonight right? but before that su will know guan is alreaedy married, and i guess that meeting w/ guan will take after the wedding~~

and i also like GX wit YH! i dunno, seems like YH really loves her so much~~and i like seeing them together~~

i really hate the bloody author for writing this plot. Why can't he put Dr Kwan and Dr Su together. They love each other. Why did he made Dr Su married Xu An An since he doesn't love her. If he must put them together, at least he should love her.

I guess the author really want to make the viewers hate Dr Kwan. Why must he made Dr Kwan get married and gets pregnant so fast? He made me really disapointed with the characterization of Dr Kwan. He made it seem like Dr Kwan is a biotch.

the plot is really killing...
but i like the love between Dr Su and Cui Feng..she soo suportive of him..
always beside him..

so contrast with GX..i might not hate her anymore but still i didn't like the
way she treat Dr Su...i didn't see as a b*t*h but more on her weekness spot..
she's doesn't has a gut to face her own love...and i might say she is actually
the one who push Dr Su to Cui Feng..not the other way..because Cui Feng did
nothing of hateful thing beside just been there and be supportive of Dr Su..

the way she always taking care and love him make Dr SU hers....

Telecast rights for Jerry's lead drama "The Hospital" was paid
at a heavenly price in order to show it in Malaysia

The Hospital broadcast in Taiwan won pretty good comments and TV viewership, that overseas copyrights has already been smoothly selling in many countries including Malaysia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, North America, etc. Malaysia is even more dashing towards Jerry that it bought his drama rights for a sky-high price. According to HK and Singapore media reports, a huge Malaysian TV network responsible for the buy-out of Metrovision 8TV, also bought this TV drama for US$20,000 (about NT$630,000) for each episode, amounting to a total of US$760,000 for the 38 episodes (or about NT$24 million). 5 years ago, it bought Jerry's first idol drama Meteor Garden for US$1,000 each eposode (about NT$32,000), a far price from Jerry's price today. According to the asistant purchasing manager of the Malaysian TV network, The Hospital producers said that the drama is indeed the highest-priced drama in the past years, but it is still within acceptable TV standards. and they should allow viewers to see other new dramas from other countries. However, it is reported that Jerry and other cast cannot go to Malaysia to promote.

After today's ep, I started to hate Dr kwan. Of course, I hafta thank the author for that. Anyway, the reason why i didn't like her in this ep is because she moved on so fast. She knows that Dr Su love her so much but it doesn't seem like she treasures it. After she broke up with him, she's like, "find another man, get pregnant, parade him to dr su." I'd expect her to be sad, just like Dr Su but noooooooooooo. You guys win, it doesn't seem like she care for Dr Su a lot. I hope that Dr Su will like Xu An An in the end even though i don't like her because Dr Kwan sure doesn't deserve him judging by her ability to move on so fast.

I think she's being misunderstood. Although I don't understand all of the conversations, I do understand some. I think Dr. su moved on fairly quick too. I know that GX left without a notice but it was after a year that she showed up again. So I wonder if she got married before or after she found out that YH had married.

I hope that what we're seeing with our eyes is not the whole truth, but it seems like she did moved on already. I doubt that she knows Dr Su got married but whatever. I think we'll see the last of her in ep 38 judging on the screen caps.

don't you guys realize that even if she has not appeared yet, dr. su's life is in a mess~
it's one year after he married xu an an and it really looks like he is very unhappy, and let's not say it is because of too much work that his character changes, yelling and all that stuff~
that will be too simple~i guess his life experiences (death of dr. chen and xin ping) and still not able to forget guan xin all has the impact on dr. su's life~~he is just like going and going with no real goal in life~

haha, funny, but i think he'll change back to his old character after meeting and saying bye bye to gaun xin~ in the end, it's still guan xin who is able to change him~

I guess you're right. Seems like things will end with them in eps. 38. But it's just so sad how everytime they try to be together. It's either something or someone that always intervene and prevent their relationship to go any further.

Well, I'll be waiting for the end. This has been a very interesting serious to watch. It goes to show how somethings don't always go according to plans. It's reality, and everyone has to live with the decisions they've made.

but on the other hands..its also taught about good things..

well my memory isn't as good when it comes to information other than jerry but i think she was in love storm. i think she was the younger version of ken's real mother in the series. i could be wrong though.

well, last 2 episodes to go! episode 37 shocked me. i loved the 1st part with dr su marrying cui feng but is really sad to see the change of yi hua. though i think it is good too that he meets guan xin again, maybe then he could really have closure.

and on the last part, i feel so sorry for cui feng. . .

*hmmm* I have a filling that Xiao Min is going to die

today's ep was so sad. I think that everyone would say the goodbye scene would be the saddest but I think Dr Qiu's ding daughter is sadder. Can you imagine seeing your own daughter dying and you can't do anything to help her, not to mention you're a doctor. What's the point of killing her anyway?

Dr Kwan's disapoint me to the max. I always sympathize her for what she went through. But after what she did to DR su in the end, I don't feel bad for her anymore. Why in the world would she bring her fiance to Dr Su's hospital after what they went through. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out! How can she sleep with another man so fast after all those things that happen. I remember when her other bf left her, it took her 10 years to recover so why did she recover so fast! She's selfish and she doens't have any faith on Dr Su. Dr Su wasted 10+ years loving someone that's not worth it.

The whole plot of this story is to tell the world one thing: life's a bioch and you die. Dr Qiu's hard work, his daughter goes down the drain. Dr Su's love and persistence didn't pay off. In the end, he marries someone he doesn't love and he got suck into the whole business scheme. Everyone is miserable for the rest of their life... except Dr Kwan I guess, but who knows, maybe the other doctor will cheat on her haha.

even before watching the start, i have tried to prepare myself for the ending, i know jerry's character will suffer a lot of pain, but still i can't believe he has to go through too much. i have thought that dr. qiu will be the happier one in the end, but no, his beloved daugther died, and it's so painful he is so helpless about it! that was really a tearjerker, so so intense! so painful esp because when we are all saying how bad dr. qiu is, he still is a very loving father to her daughter, it's just so bad this has to happen.

the parting scene of yi hua and gx is aslo painful, i dunno w/ her, but i think she has made up her mind that that was the path yi hua was to take. i don't think she is entirely contented, she just moved on and made it appear to yi hua, because yi hua has to "take that path". i don't really get what she's thinking, but she has her own way of thinking esp efter all she has gone through. it's just so sad that both of them can't be together even after everything they've been through.

this series talks abt a lot of thing, and i dunno with the author, he seems to like every character to live such miserable lives, i can't find anyone who is better off than what he or she is than before. dr. tang died, dr. qiu's daugther died, yi hua and guan xin did not end up together, xin ping died, dr. chen died~~geesh...

i can say the ending for yi hua is not that ideal happy ending, looking at how much pain he has after the parting scene, it's so sad he can't get the one he loves~it's not that happy ending but i think he'll have a not so happy but not so sad ending as he tried to move on and accept everything that has happened~

and yeah, continue life in that hospital~it's just never ending, i really wonder how dr. qiu would live his life after her daughter died. will he continue being a doctor after he failed to save his own daugther? quite frustrating right? he saves other people's lives, but the person that matters the most to him, he can't save~

THIS SERIES IS SERIOUSLY MAKING ME NUTS! SO MUCH TO THINK ABOUT!!

i feel that Cui Feng is really pityful. =_=";; especially Dr Su leave a note there, not goin home for days. sigh. But what he said at the parting scene hopefully he can do it as well. Guan Xin definetly moved on too fast. But well, luckily she cried in the parting scene else... she is really cold blooded.

Gosh.. Dr. Qiu's daughter scenes is really sad. and She's Dieing :'(

Episode 38 is really a sad one. I think the daughter is the most innocent one in the series. It's sad how she's dying and the accident happened on Dr. Qiu's birthday. It's sad how every year he'll be reminded of his daughter's accident. I wonder if it was because of his affair.

I know a lot of ppl don't like GX, but I don't think she's a bad person. I guess she was selfish for leaving YH because she didn't want to be hurt and go through the same thing when Zhuang married someone else. Dr. Qiu was the one that put the thought in her mind though, so I guess she thought it was inevitable. And that's why maybe she left. I could tell that the both of them still love the other very much but they've already made a decision and chosen a path. Who knows, like YH said before...maybe she'll be the one who loves and chase him in the next life.

I think the only person that will live happily is probably GX's husband.

the next life~i have thought of that too~they believed in that, and in the next life, hopefully they can be together~that scene where they both hugged each other for a long time, the director seems to be telling how these couple love each other so much~
yet they are to part ways~

i was thinking, many people don't like serious dramas, but this series i think is so different, it's dramatic yet somehow you feel what the characters feel~the scenes are made suspenseful (remember that dragging scene by dr. qiu in the hospital?) and intense that you can't stop watching~besides, all of them acted good, i must really bow down to leon dai!

and there's something w/ the production of these series that makes it grand~do you notice how the cameras move? they go around, down and up, up and down, some scenes have no cuts too, the one in the funeral w/ dr. chen crying and the camera just followed him and w/ jerry crying in the pedestrian lane~those are awesome scenes~wanna bet? director cai will win best director for this~every detail is done nicely, even the closing of the doors and stuff like that~

i kind of like the part where dr. su changed character, i mean, it's because it's very ironic, he was sunny and smiling and gentle earlier, but he is also prone to so much pain~that alone is so ironic~
i hate seeing him cry that i liked it when he changed to someone who seems superior over the others, he was the one yelling at the others now~
ok, i liked that, but of course we would like to see him back to his old self~

he'll go up to the mountains tonight right? i bet the scenery and the camera shots will make us breathless again~

the fate of the male and female lead in this series is very different from other series too~usually, the leads end up together, if not, the other one dies because of some sickness but the other will be able to accept it and move on, if not both will die~

but what would be more cruel than to have the leads alive, all well, but can't end up together? they love each other but they live separate lives w/ other partners~they know the other person is just out there but they won't be able to be with that person~i still haven't seen a series w/ this kind of ending~and i find this really really painful!

hay...the series starts sunny, at least dr. su is smiling and we have those cute funny scenes w/ wen li and the optimistic attitude of dr. su, (and the Lalalala music OST) but the later parts are just so heartbreaking, such ironic change~

and it will end tonight! wow, this has been a very nice, interesting drama to follow!

yea i agree with you. this has been a very interesting series to watch. It really is more painful that the leads are alive and can't be together. I mean even in the end, we could still tell that they both still love each other but decided to move on and live separate lives. I think the most heartbreaking scenes are the ones with Dr. Qiu and his daughter. I cried so much and the tears just wouldn't stop coming out.

I definitely think that Director Cai deserves an award for his work. I applaud Leon Dai's acting as well. His performance throughout the whole series was just tremendous. I think the whole cast and crew did a wonderful job altogether.

Gosh the last episode make me cry so much. I'm going to miss this show badly.

Most seem to find the ending sad, but I personally don't find it so. All the characters learned something in life. The male lead never stopped to look around himself, and kept on chasing a shadow. The female lead obviously lacked courage, but her trip back to the hospital shows a progression in her character as well. Many on this forum appear disappointed in her, and some angry, but I don't see why any of her actions in going back to the hospital is wrong. He still cared for the male lead, so she went back to get him out of the emotion quagmire he was in, and to say farewell. If you think take a minute to think about the ending, you will see that much of it is about the growth of each and every single character, and that they all come out with a deeper understanding of life.

Being sad, lonely and in despair is part of life..it takes courage to move on...the lead charaters of Jerry and Janine moved on and that is ...good..

Dr. Qiu losing her daughter was heartbraking..especially when they show the doctor's memory of her daughter waking him up with a birthday greeting.."Papa papa...happy birthday"

this is really one of the better series i have ever seen.
i am amazed by jerry improvement in performance..
I liked the way how he was so happy in the beginning and then he becames trapped and twisted into the world of greed and evil.. but then in the end.. he realized that he was still a good guy and he can practice the way he wants to. I think he will be a wonderful head doctor.

leon dai is very good.
he really impressed me from the evil plotting all the way to the kind caring father. (i am still not quite sure why they had to kill off his daughter.. maybe it was a lesson)

the newbie girls.. they were of course not of the cailber of actors among them, but they did their best. I guess you gotta have something pretty to look at.

i am sad to see this series go.
but at times, there was just too much drama going on.
it was also sad to see jerry fall down and get sucked into the world behind saving lives.

I agree with someone above.. it is realyl abt the development of each character. Everyone is looking for that highest peak, for some it's fame and for others it's peace.

wohoo!! i finally watched the ending! why, even the closing credits is sooo moving, with the cheery song and all the casts in there~a huge cast i must say, did anyone bother to count how many there are?

as for the ending, it is just so moving, i guess the message of the series can be explicitly found in the letter of guan xin to yi hua, saying he should find his happiness, find meaning in life, and search for what makes him real happy!

as we can see, dr. qiu lost his daughter, dr. su lost guan xin, and both treasures them so much that they find their life and happiness in them, but as the series ended, when they think that they have lost everything--the source of meaning in their life, one still has to find meaning in life, and to search for their happiness, because life goes on~

it's not really that happy ideal ending, dr. qiu lost his daughter, dr. su did not end up w/ guan xin, but the series is saying there is still hope and possibility for happiness when one searches for it. dr. su is still on that tough road of searching, it's nice that he still finds hope in that HOSPITAL depsite of everything that happens inside it, i guess he never lost hope in becoming a doctor, to serve the people.

as for dr. qiu, it will still be a hard road ahead, to find for that happiness after her daughter died, but the act of donating is a good start, even if the whole situation is so unhappy for him~

when the closing song (that cherry song w/c is my Fave) started after dr. su goes up the stairs, i still could not stop crying~see, they even changed the closing theme song, it's just like saying even after all the troubles and problems, life still goes on, that we have to find happiness around us!

After CTV ended its contoversial "The Hospital" drama at Mid-Atumn Festival night, discussions at the official website immediately followed. They cried and hailed movie king Leon's Dai's performance in Qui Qing Cheng's turnaround when his daugther died and chose to donate her heart to a girl. Meanwhile, Jerry Yan as Su Yi Hua finally recieved Janine Zhang's letter from the mountains, whom he decided to let go after loving her for 10 years, that also showed Jerry's breakthough in his acting skill since "Meteor Garden."

Yesterday, because fans discussed "Taiwan rejoices on this talented actor Leon Dai" they commended Leon Dai with the highest esteem and caused many viewers to endless cries, that no wonder Director Cai considered the scene when Qui Qing Cheng lost her daughter Xiao Min as one of the most moving scenes of the drama, and that Leon Dai really deserved to be called the movie king.

Besides commending Leon Dai's performance, "Bao Long fans" also saw a different Jerry acting in drama. CTV as well as PTT message boards are filled with discussions on Jerry's role as Su Yi Hua. Many people felt Su Yi Hua's saddness on meeting his old fame Janine with husband Xui Ji Kai especially when the couple walked away, Jerry was about to cry as he saw them leave.

An avid Jerry fan also wrote "My day would be sad when I see him sad in the drama, and when he is down, I am also down as well." The other day, Jerry wrote a message in his website " This year's Mid Autumn Festival, the moon is nicely round and big, especially bright, as if it is very close, and lets people feel very warm. The past few years because of work, I havent been with my family and friends together for a reunion and barbeque. and I have missed it." The Hospital will again be shown starting on the 14th at Dong Sen Drama TV every weekend afternoon from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm to create another wave of viewer craze.

yeah the ending is meanlingful. It teaches us a valuable lesson about life but I still hate it. If I can change the ending, this would be MY ending: After Kwan Xin leaves, Yi Hua decides to wait for her and didn't accept Cui Feng. Kwan xin comes back a year later, but she didn't married or find anyone else because she only loves Yi Hua. During those time she was a doctor in Life Force. She sees Yi Hua and is touch by his love so they got back together. In the very end, Yi Hua quits his job and joins Kwan Xin to be a doctor in Life Force. 5 years later they are happily married and gave birth to 4 kids Dr Qiu's daughter didn't died and he had another kid with his wife.

The end!


Seeing Dr Qiu's reaction about his daughter dying, it looks like he loves his kid a lot but i don't understand why he doesn't wanna have his other kid with the reporter.

CTV's "The Hospital" aired its final episode last friday with people crying at its ending. However, female lead Janine Zhang had miserably became "Jerry fans' public enemy" because she hardly gave Jerry a chance in The Hospital. At the official website, fans heavily criticized Janine with "Really wish to twist her hand" and "No.1 most lowly woman" Even though Janine had mentally prepared herself on these attacks, yet she still felt embarrased when she saw everyone's accusations. and she is really afraid to be beaten when she walk on the streets.

Just barely ended, The Hospital will again be shown at the Dong Sen (ET) drama channel starting on the 14th, to continue the drama wave. But because Janine's infamous state greatly increased in this drama, the "beauty" suddenly turned into a " lowly person" when she earlier rebelliously betrayed Jerry in The Hospital. When they finally made up, she again ran away and married Xui Jie Kai, letting Jerry suffer again. At the CTV's forum site, discussions went to heavy scolding and referred her as the "selfish, shameless, and can be matched with the lowly Su Yi Hua's dog."

Janine had forseen that she would be the target of such remarks. "In the drama, it took me a long time to move away from Guan Xin's character." Did "The Hospital" tuned into a korean drama? The Hospital will be shown again starting on Saturday from 4:30 pm at the ET drama channel, however, the drama channel recently released its new 8pm time slot drama entitled "Autumn Showers" TV preview. But, observant fans of The Hospital found out that its format is exactly similar to The Hospital and is suspected to have plagerized.
