Hi..just came back from the fan meet and I left my heart in Jamsil stadium ! Jun Ki was so handsome, cute and funny. I did not take pics, sorry..but better pics will come from the press and clips from Mnet soon.
Too tired to write down full details, just a brief on main segments I loved :
1. The three songs he sang were very nice and should be recorded in a disc (my unbiased opinion), he can sing and he can dance too ! He started with the first song and my eyes reddened when I saw how serious he was about singing the song. But he grinned and beat his chest several times, don't know..maybe he was shy or nervous. His hair is the usual length although red colour highlights. I liked his samurai act the most...it was touching and sad.
2. There were clips of his practising for the fan meet and he really put a lot of effort into it, especially the 'popping' dance. Also showed his recording of the songs.
3. And one clip showed him going to his grandmother's grave to pay respect after his Baeksang win..he prayed and paid respect with his trophies placed at the tomb but he took them back afterwards. He was crying too.
4. There was a question and answer session with the questions from his Korean fans shown on the big screen and he answered honestly, at times was embarassed...I could not understand what he said. But the audience laughed and cheered. He really laughed a lot today.
5. There were his usual cute and adorable gestures and at one stage, he told us to get ready our cameras to take his pics on the count of three. He counted three and everyone started clicking away and he did funny poses too. He repeated again for the fans to take more pics.
6. Almost at the end, he read out a letter ( I presumed from him to fans or the other way round ?), halfway he started to cry when it got emotional. His tears just fell and I was so proud of him at that moment that my eyes got wet too !
7. He saved the best for last...when he did the dance and song item. Man, Jun Ki may not be as good as Seven or Minwoo, but he can dance.
I was told by his Korean fans that his Korean fanclub has total of over 300,000 fans now. The whole atmosphere was like a concert venue. Mentor did very well this time, spending so much money on the pyrotechno displays. It was amazing and the sound system was superb. I had a really great time, 3 hours with intervals of clips and guest artistes. I loved looking at his clips, some of which I have not seen before..those of Fly Daddy movie behind the scenes and makings.
Mianhe, it kinda hard for me to put in words what I saw today and what Jun Ki did for us. How could we not love him ? He made me laugh even though I could not understand 99% of what he said but actions spoke louder than words.
There was this clip from Fly Daddy making...showed him waking up in his bed ( I still think he favours sleeping on his left ! ) brushing his teeth, blowing his hair and then later heading out for the shooting scenes at the theme park. His apartment is on the 3rd floor I think, because it showed him returning late at night and I was counting the steps he took as he walked up !
The pics of him standing there with a letter in his hand and wearing striped shirt had him singing his second song (ballad) of the night. He cried while reading aloud and tried to control his emotions when he sang. I was touched and so were his fans.
He did everything perfectly and at the end when he finally waved goodbye, I saw him hugged someone as he was going off backstage. He must have felt so happy that there was no technical hitch of any kind, unlike some I have witnessed at concerts. Now he can go away for the 10 days that he mentioned and to get a good rest.
A Korean fan showed me Fly Daddy Fly novel but it was in Korean and she told me it's the best seller now. I don't know if she was joking or serious !
I am glad to have witnessed the hardworking, sincere, charming, cute, adorable and handsome Lee Jun Ki giving his all to his fans who were screaming so much that my ears hurt a bit ! I am sure that the other several SG ladies present also enjoyed the event. As for me, it wrapped up the most memorable trip for me to Seoul, this was the best in my life. I hope to see LJK again sometime in the future because he is someone I adore and would fully support from now on.
I fully agree if he wants to try his hand at singing..he is good, and with some training can do better.
