Actor Lee Jun-ki to Appear on Special Chinese TV Show
January 31, 2007
Actor Lee Jun-ki has been invited to a Chinese TV show specially arranged jointly by Shanghai Dragon TV and Shanghai Media Group to celebrate the Chinese New Year. He is the only Korean star among some 300 Asian stars invited, evidence of his growing popularity in China.

On the show to be aired on the Chinese New Year's day, Lee will introduce Korean food and announce his New Year resolutions. Upon hearing the news, many of his Chinese fans have excitedly made predictions about the food he will introduce, which has ranged from ginseng to kimchi, and suggestions about segments of the show in which they want him to appear.

Some of his fans want him to dance or sing a song, while most of them want to see his Taekwondo skills, which he learned as a young boy.

But the production team of the show said that they need to further discuss the matter with Lee because he is rather introverted.

I've just finished My Girl and thought jun ki was really cute like a girl lol. He looks pretty feminine for a guy. Anyway, I thought his acting was pretty cool. I heard his songs and I like his voice too. I'm definitely a fan now, small one tho.

Hey guys, I read that Jun Ki needs to complete 3 yrs of military service coz his health level is at Level One, which means his health is top notch. So he's required to do one extra yr in the army. It's pretty old news, but I want to confirm on this. Wondering if you guys heard anything? If it's true, I'll be extremely sad. I mean, I'm happy Jun Ki oppa is healthy and all, but 3 years is awfully long. I don't know if I can last 3 years without seeing Jun Ki...
Oh, and I just watched Fly, Daddy, Fly. Finally! It was pretty good. The ending was very touching; at one point, almost making me cry. Hehe. But damn, Jun Ki was soooo hot in there!

Hi marissa10 - I haven't heard or read about it but I know the maximum year of military service is 2-years. I don't think this is true. And I don't think he's entering the army this soon since I think he's only 25 or 26 (?) stand corrected......... just hope it's not soon........ I also watched his movie, Fly Daddy...... i find the story good. He's cute & hot in that film

Nope, I don't think he looks like Vanness. Aside from both being fair, they look nothing alike. Vanness has a manlier feel while Jun Ki is very pretty. Plus, Jun Ki has very delicate features eg, his mouth is quite small and he has a very refined, sharp nose while Vanness's nose is bigger and meatier, and Vanness has thick lips! Personally, I think Jun Ki looks much better-looking than Vanness. But well, that's just me...

Among all his features, i think his face shape is really one of the kind. It unique, because, it is sharp. Hardly have i ever seen a guy with such sharp face, remind me of those guys in anime. But this is also something he don't like..cos he find it too sharp.

[2007.02.15] Junki thanks the fans in Asia for Donations

Korean star Lee Jun Ki has many fans in Asia, the Asia fans gathered together and donated money to the 'Help blindness people' charity.

As Lee Jun Ki company said, Lee Jun Ki fans club from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan combined together and donated 5 million won to the International Help Blindness ORBIS charity.

ORBIS is a big organization in America that helps peoples in poor country who needs operation for their eyes.

Lee Jun Ki company also said the reason why fans from oversea did this was because of the movie "King and the Clown", the scene when Jang-Seung (Gam Woo Sung) looses his eye sight in order to save Gong-Gil (Lee Jun Ki). Many fans was touched by this scene.

As fans register the name Lee Jun Ki for donation, ORBIS manager sent a thank you letter to Le Jun Ki's company on the 14th.

Lee Jun Ki was touched by the kind hearted fans and said "Behalf of the country all over the world I would like to thanks all the Asia fans."

I completely, absolutely, totally recommend you to watch The King and the Clown!! Yes, it's that good! Out of all the drama series/movies he starred in, Jun Ki's acting is simply the best in this one! One word: FLAWLESS! It's a must-watch!
I downloaded the movie from Silent Regrets; it's hardsubbed too.. but the site seems to be down at the moment. Planning to buy the Limited Edition DVD with behind the scenes, MV, trailers and even comes with a photobook and postcards!! Woot! But I don't know where to get it...
