i just finish rewatching the old tvb series Vengeance, the one with Deric and Irene n Gallen. Wow i really enjoyed watching it, lot stuff going on , just sad there was sad ending and Uncle Rain, Deric didnt choose to be with Irene in the end cuz of all things shes done to his family. for those who rewatched it or remember this series, did u enjoy watching it or what do u think about it?

Yeah, indeed a good series, one of the few modern series where Gallen Lo really got the chance to play a villain all the way out.

i still remember this series since it was one of the best series in the 90s. Irene did a good job with her role and i think that's how people remember her from. Deric's character is good too and gallen was so evil.

they just finish broadcasting this series on tvb cable and i was rewatching it with my mom....liked deric and gallen's characters.
they are both good actors , especially gallen as the bad guy. he was so evil and he made me hate him.....which is so great!

irene (wen bik ha) on the other hand i did not think could act that well. this character requires a really strong character. i think maggie siu would have been super in this role. irene is too soft and depressing ALL the time. she made me depressed. i mean when she was going thru the hard time at the thailand camp. she could have show some stronger emotion. i don't see any different expression on her. she's pretty much always this weak female who was always sad.

for example, at the scene when deric wrote her that letter, her expression didn't even change. no tears no crying. no nothing. i couldv'e screamed!!!! ahhhhhh

sorry if i offended any irene fans. but, i wish they used another actress for this role. i can't believe she is known for this role. is it cos she didn't act anymore after that?

I have no idea what movie yall are talking about. Could anyone tell me what the movie is about? Because judging from the title it sounds like the type of movies that I really enjoy.

Indeed a good series from the 90s. I was hooked on this one, mostly because it was so cool to see Gallen Lo as a cruel and evil bastard hehe. Another series where he is supercool as the villain is "Ambition".

hmm no .. i think its about vengeance and revenge .. this is a superb series a must for those who like 90's series .. it's about irene taking revenge on the guy who wrecked her family apart. she was raised in orphanage and then there was an Uncle Rain who has been sponsoring her all this while. When she grew up, she met Deric Wan who is the son of the person that she wanted to take revenge on .. and she happened to fall in love with him .. and who happened to be the Uncle Rain that has been sponsoring her all this while .. she has to make a choice between revenge and love ..

I watched this series many years ago, but don't remembered it. I am planning to buy the DVDs next week so I can't watch it all over again. Don't fancy Irene Wan that much but love Deric though. Will not want to miss any of his series.

I definitely remember this series.I think one of the earliest TVB series with Maggie Shiu in it.The bad die in this series is definitely very bad.

when i was a little kid, i remember watching this series with my family and i really loved it... this series was one of the best Gallen's performance as a villain and Deric too... tvb doesn't have this kind of genre anymore.

I like Deric and Irene pairing in here, i thought that their relationship is sweet in here and they do have great chemistry... i don't like the serie ending as it left it hanging, i was hoping that irene and deric could get together again....

it one those sad ending series, but it worth watching. a good cast and storyline. it reminds you the good golden years of tvb, when it the good classic series comes out

Hoi Chiu (Irene Wan) grew up in an orphanage. While she was there, she never got the chance to meet up with her benefactor, Kiu Lap (Deric Wan). Her knowing about the truth, nevertheless, brings her to the verge of despair.
