All the things about the "drug scandal" I read here and @ Dramabeans (for me a reliable source) upset me!
Two days ago I thought "they" will use Ju Ji Hun as a scapegoat in this scandal. And now it comes true.
That's absolutely disgusting!

The Korean Drug Scandal and Ju Ji Hun

What we have to see is:
Ju Ji Hun's name is all over the media - at first in Korea, now in Japan and in other Asian countries.
Ju Ji hun's name is always part of the headlines concerning the scandal.
The facts in the media are often twisted to the disadvantage of Ju Ji Hun.
Ju Ji Hun's picture is shown in combination with the picture of the main player Yoon Seol-hee who smuggled, dealed and used the illegal drugs and who has had seemingly a quite large costumer base in the Korean entertainment world (including some celebrities).
Ju Ji Hun was only one of the customers/drug users and admitted the use of those drugs in two (!) cases.
Ju Ji Hun is the only user of those drugs who is named until now. Though it's clear that there are much more users of those drugs from the entertainment world.
Therefore and because he's the most famous one of the (at the moment) three named persons, Ju Ji Hun is the main subject to hostile atacks from the media, the netizens and the showbiz industry.
"Somebody" heats up the situation: The names of other involved persons (e.g. other drug users from the entertainment industry) are still a secret. But "somebody" released "hints" concerning names and persons.
Ju Ji Hun alone has to take stick in this situation for seemingly a larger group of celebrities.
Ju Ji Hun has to bear the full amount of negative reactions concerning the scandal.
Ju Ji Hun is the punching bag for everybody and especially the mob.
Ju Ji Hun has lost his reputation.
Ju Ji Hun has presumably to await huge financial problems.
Ji Ji Hun has lost a humane treatment!
I ask:
What is Ju Ji Hun's delict in detail?
Illegal drug use on two occasions at drinking parties in March 2008.
He admitted the drug use.
I ask:
Is there any commensurability?
Does the inviolability of human dignity exist in Korea?
Do the responsible persons of this chivvy on Ju Ji Hun have a humane conscience?
How would those persons feel in such a situation and as the scapegoat for a lot of other people?
Do they have a heart?
Do they have a brain?
Conclusion:

This chivvy on Ju Ji Hun is a crime.
A much bigger crime than drug abuse on two occasions.

I appeal to the responsible persons:

STOP THIS!
HAVE MERCY!

Actor Joo Ji-hoon Charged with Drug Use

image: http://i42.tinypic.com/w1786f.jpg

Popular film star Joo Ji-hoon was booked Sunday for drug use. Police announced that Joo and several other stars are being investigated for distributing and using drugs. The narcotics unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said that arrest warrants are sought for actress Yun Seol-hee and model Ye Hak-young, who allegedly smuggled ecstasy tablets and ketamine from Japan.

The 27-year-old star of TV drama “Princess Hours” and films “Antique” and “The Naked Kitchen” was booked on the charge of drug use. The model-turned-actor admitted to using drugs at a party given at Ye’s house. He said that he was drunk when he took them. The latest drug scandal among celebrities has shocked the public as well as the entertainment industry itself. Although entertainers have often been caught for drug use, the recent drug bust was more shocking, because it involved one of the most promising hallyu stars and came in the wake of a still unresolved sex scandal, triggered by the suicide note of actress Jang Ja-yeon.

Joo was scheduled to shoot “Tokyo Tower” next month, but the role is likely to be given to another actor. His involvement in the drug party is expected to cause quite a heavy monetary damage to production companies, which had planned on selling his dramas and films to Japan.

Drug Scandal Jolts Showbiz Industry
Several More Top Entertainers on List of Suspects

By Kwon Mee-yoo
Staff Reporter

Police are expanding their investigation into the smuggling and use of drugs involving movie stars and models.

In the latest drug bust of entertainers, police booked popular film star Ju Ji-hun, 27, on suspicion of drug use and arrest warrants were sought for actress Yun Seol-hee, 28, and model Ye Hak-young, 26, for alleged smuggling ecstasy tablets and ketamine into the country from Japan. Two other residents were booked on similar suspicions.

"Besides the suspects on the list we have secured, there are likely more, given the amount of drugs smuggled. Further investigations are unavoidable," an officer of the Seoul Metropolitan Policy Agency said.

Police officiers said the entertainers appear to have been tempted to use drugs on assumption that that ecstasy and other drugs kill the appetite, helping them reduce their weight. Ecstasy is a mildly hallucinogenic amphetamine and the most popular illegal drug in Korea, while ketamine, also illegal here, is a veterinary medicine that has a strong hallucinatory effect on humans in dilute doses.

Experts said that more popular stars are blacklisted as suspects who used the drugs smuggled in by Yun.

The latest scandal is jolting the entertainment industry, already reeling following the suicide of actress Jang Ja-yeon, who left a note accusing media and entertainment firms' presidents of forcing her to have sex with them.

Ju is a hallyu (Korean wave) star in Japan and is now expected to lose opportunities to appear in Japanese media, let alone appearances on domestic TV programs or movies. He was scheduled to have a fan meeting in Tokyo next month.

Ju is a model-turned-actor who debuted in the 2006 drama 'Princess Hours," with the role of a crown prince of Korea. He recently starred in the movies "Antique" and "The Naked Kitchen" and the musical "Don Juan." He was going to shoot the drama "Tokyo Tower" next month, but the role is going to be given to another actor.

Ju admitted to using drugs, saying he took them when he was drunk at a party at Ye's house, according to police. Since both Ju and Ye are models-turned-actors, the entertainment industry expects other colleagues to be implicated in the scandal. Many fans are disappointed. "I was surprised at the news of Ju's drug use. Drug scandals involving entertainers seem to never end," said Kim Dong-hyun, 28, a graduate student.

Many other entertainers have also been caught for drug use. Actress Hwang Su-jung was caught using philopon ― an amphetamine ― in November 2001. She was known for her elegant image, but an attempted comeback was unsuccessful even years after the scandal. Singer Psy, or Park Jae-sang, was caught in the same month for smoking marijuana. Actresses Sung Hyun-ah was caught for taking ecstasy in 2002; Kim Boo-seon for marijuana in 2004; and Ko Ho-kyeong for marijuana in 2006.

The drug busts of entertainers continued last year as well, including jazz vocalist Pak Sun-zoo and Steve Kim of hip hop group Uptown. Some entertainers have campaigned for legalizing the use of drugs such as marijuana. Kim Boo-seon and singer Shin Hae-chul, both caught for drug use, have insisted that marijuana should be legalized in Korea.

However, the difference this time is that Yun and Ye smuggled the narcotics themselves ― police believe they did this to limit the possibility of exposure. Some experts cited relatively light punishment on drug users as one of the key reasons behind the scandals. Some have successfully returned to the business years afterward.

Bae Kuk-nam, a culture critic, said, "They can make a return after drug scandals but their wrongdoing is engraved in people's memories."

I'm so shock that he did and that he get caught!!!
I read that it's mean that his career is over!! I love Goong and Antique Bakery... It's awful that Kate Moss can be caught taking drugs and her career still on and for him it's almost over... SO SAD

I'm still in state of shock... i would say in stage of denial as well because, I really can't believe that this is happening to Joo Ji Hoon, he has so much potential. I'm still affected to what happened to him, it's really sad to hear tho, especially the attacks from the media. I guess that is one of the consequences he has to face in doing drugs. Anyway since Joo Ji Hoon already admitted that he is guilty doing drugs (2 times) so what will happen next to him after the trial? I'm just curious because I'm not familiar with Korea's anti-drug law... Is he going to prison because of that if found guilty? I hope not... In my own opinion doing drugs is really a wrong move. No to drugs. Peace!

i'm not going to be interested in all the hoo-ha about ju ji hun's drug scandal because i know the most important thing right now is for us, his fans, to support him no matter what and pray hard for his future career. i'm sure none of us want to see his career go down the drain like that, with his potential and all. i really loved him in goong, and his role in the devil was great too. i honestly believe he can go far. we should understand that he too is human and makes mistakes as well. i will continue to believe in him and look forward to his works in the coming.

Joo JiHoon Confesses His Feelings To Fans
Monday September 7, 2009 Korea

Last August, Joo JiHoon had been caught red handed using drugs. He had been sentenced to one year of probation and 120 hours of community service.

Now, he decides that it is time to express his feeling to his fans.

On September 7th, Joo JiHoon decided to express his feelings through his homepage to his fans.

"I feel many changes of emotions as I’m thinking what to say first. After my words of goodbye before, here I am again greeting you guys after the passing of two seasons. As usual, I’m living fine, listening well and watching well. I wanted to live confidently and straight forward, but I know that with my mistake I left pain and showed a weak side of me at the end as well. My heart was hurting, and I felt bad. I’m keeping everything that you guys have told me and sent me deeply in my heart. Now that the past had faded, I write these words as I’m looking forward to the day I will show the future side of me. I love you all and miss you as well."

Started in August, Joo JiHoon spent his time doing community service with the elderly and the disabled 8 hours each day and finished his 120 hours of community service. Currently he is at his home and planning to enter the army later this year.
