Aiya, our good old Pearl is back!! With her long post and creative captions and ideas. Pearl how could you type that LONG? I love your long posts, I am just curious how can you do it. Now, where is our Rangy? She should be done with her exams loh......

Anyways, to answer some of your doubts about the artiste award, yes we still have 30 more days to go as it is indicated in the voting home page. The public's votes will count for 80% while the judges' votes/marks will count for 20%, so technically, the people's choice winner may not be the final winner. But it will be kinda embarassing, don't you think? So I guess unless the votes are really really close, the results will be the same.

I love the Ray waving pic, sooooo cute. And I love the SYFW interview screen captures too. Ray seem to be so lively when he is with Charm and makes all kinds of funny expressions. I have finsihed watching FTF, in it, Ray is suppose to love Selina Li (is that her name?) very much and would do anything for her. But I just don't see that kind of electricity sparkle or chemistry flowing through them. Ray still tries to show his sexy voice and deep in love expressions, but it is just NOT CONVINCING. While for Charray, they are so natural together.......you could just see the love between them......

anyways, I try to vote last night, but it seems not working for me. Will try later and figure out why. otherwise, I may have to use another computer to vote again.

I watched FTF too, it wasn't very impressive to me, and the couples are all muddled up
I love Ray in FTF though, his character is annoying or maybe even a little hateful at the beginning, BUT people just can't help loving him instead of hating him!!

I agree that Ray is at his best acting with Charm .... He didn't show all his potential when acting with other actresses... Like in LFD, it was juz so uncomfortable seeing him and Melissa together.... my stomach turned when seeing their intimate scenes.... *shivers at the terrible thought* ..... It was so upsetting that I have to rewatch LWOLAP after seeing LFD.... *ugh*.....

I guess that's why CharRay is a "bickering couple"! Charm didn't like Ray at first because of her revenge goal. On the other hand, Ray is mesmerized by Charm and want to woo her. So Ray started to do all these nice things for Charm. Charm was going to use Ray in her revenge plan but she is touched by all his loving gestures and falls in love with him. Charm is then conflicted with her feelings; she loves Ray but there's still her mother's revenge..... What will happen? We're gonna have to wait..... *sigh* ...

Charm's storyline in SYFW reminded me of Ah Man in DIF IV. She has to scarifice her love for Sunny because of her father. So maybe in SYFW Charm was forbidden to love Ray by her mom and being such a good daughter she has to let go of Ray. And Ray misunderstood Charm for pretending to love him in order to get revenge. And Ray was heart brokern.....awwwww....such a pitiful pair....

I think we should fina as many ways as we could to let TVB knows that fans out there want CHARRAY TO BE TOGETHER AT THE END. And that Charray is the PERFECT pair. Since they are still editing the storyline and script, this may convince them to follow the "right" line and put Charray together. I have a lot of confidence since TVB long series tend to have millions of twists and turns....AND one way to let them know that WE WANT CHARRAY is to VOTE!

Well...

I just reformatted my computer (AGAIN), because of my satanic big fat evil inconsiderate stupid brother (AGAIN), I lost all my files (AGAIN) and I have to work to recuperate eventhough I was trying to recuperate before this but didn't have time to recuperate (AGAIN).

And I just recovered from a fever. I launched into fever the day my exams ended. Probably from all the stress, and I also went out to my friend's house for some partying! It was fun, but the stress + the partying + the serious haze lately, probably resulted in Rangey-in-bed.

I woke up to a slight headache on Sat morning, and went to eat breakfast. Came back, took a quick nap and then changed to attend church. By the time I reached the badminton court (being that badminton was that day's event), I was dizzy. Then I played badminton for quite a long time. I'm not one to put my arse on the floor the moment I start perspiring! So I put off my increasing dizziness as lack of exercise. Soon, I was so dizzy I had to quit and sit at the sidelines, trying not to fall on my side and sit straight. When I got home, I had to lean on something every few seconds. Went straight to bed after discovering that I had a fever after all. Spent the next day on and off my bed, sweating and sometimes shivering in immense cold. Didn't go to school today, recovered from my fever but still having slight sorethroat.

Therefore, here I am xD.

I haven't voted yet. And seeing my computer's conditions, I wanna set some things straight first before launching into super-voter mode. So, Pearl, help me with voting in the meantime! I'm gonna catch up after I've fixed the problems . Sorry yah.

Now that you've mentioned it, Charm's storyline in SYFW is kinda sorta a lil' bit related to her DIF IV one I was crying my eyes out with Charm ... Hopefully the ending of SYFW won't be like that!

Yup, I also think that TVB will put many twists and turns in this series....being that it's 60 episodes long.... So we shouldn't be disappointed at the ending yet

Yea, I was thinking "Then Pearl, now Rangey" too xD. But it's more to the haze here in Kuala Lumpur. The haze is terrible. No idea why. LOL, dah little prince. Yea, it's a bit cheesy for me though... I mean my small scene thingy. Not you. Haha!

Pearl, yea I still have around 5 weeks of school after my PMR. We don't get summer hols because generally, we don't get summer.

I'll translate what I learned from Geography into English here xD. Like, we're on the Khatulistiwa (errr, don't know the English term) line and the countries here are usually hotter. My country is hot and wet all year round. No winter, summer, spring and all that. I've never touched snow before!

We do get like 1 week hols sometimes. It's confusing really, or maybe I myself am totally blurr. Perhaps the latter. Our long hols is at the end of the year, Nov-Dec. Almost 2 full months of pure freedom!

And wow where did you find that hot picture of Charmaine from?!?!?! I've never seen it before! LOL, yep yep similar pose . So hot, yet so cool. Is Charray hot? Or is Charray cool? That is the question. They are HOOT! That is my answer!

Badminton. Yea I kinda liked it. But now I'm playing much less. Maybe because of the exams. And it made my hand hurt too. I twisted it or something. Fever + badminton sores kinda made me stay away from it for awhile. Badminton is around the only sport that I can say I KNOW. I can shoot some hoops too but nothing really official, like joining the school team or getting professional training. More like running around with the ball alone and trying to shoot baskets while everyone is sitting down chatting at the sidelines. But I kinda suck at dribbling and coming up running. Aim's not bad but my friend that sometimes run alone shooting hoops also told me that I need to go get rougher. Haha, sometimes I run away from the ball xD. Maybe basketball is more to a guy thing. But I like aiming the ball! LOL.

Yep, Helen, I guess you can put it that-a-way. I prefer my captions to be very subtle. Captioning doesn't let me flaunt it that much. I think Pearl's captions are much cuter . Maybe I'll go with a fanfic. I'll try typing up something and see if I like it. Will get a few chapters ready first before I launch! But I need inspiration first xD.

Hi fellow Charray lovers, the TVB awards nominee list is out. Charm has 2 nomincations - MV and DOP. Ray has one nomination - LFD. The voting page is not ready yet, but it will soon be. Pls. try to vote if possible. I am sure there will be English instructions somewhere later. I am not sure if you guys just like Charray together or you guys love Ray and Charm individually. I am hoping that if you guys like charmaine as well, we'd better co-ordinate our efforts and CONCENTRATE our votes for ONE Nomination only. Either MV or DOP. In comparison, Charm's performance in MV is better in my opinion. I think it make more sense to vote for Charm in MV. Ray's chance this year as best actor is a little slim, but it won't hurt to show our support for Charray, especially for us over obsessive Charray supporters, right?

Kelly, you are right, it is kinda like LWOLAP. Actually I love more emotional roles, this way, it is easier for us to go "awww....poor Charm". And you know what, usually girls who are strong willed and rational tend to have more burden and pain. People just thought they are strong enough to bear all burden and thus they tend to protect the meek and gentle ones (or those who looks like one) instead. Therefore, when it is in a love triangle, usually the strong willed girl loose.

As to Arashi's question, no one really knows the judging scheme. TVB has always asked the audience to vote. If you doubt last year's results, well, all I can say is you should not think lightly of Gigi's fan power. Just look at the artiste award. Gigi IS leading now, right? It is possible that Gigi got the award purely by the votes casted by her fans. There is also possibility that TVB has inserted some influence. Who knows? My principle has always been - Try our best to do our parts, the rest will remain in the hands of God. If we give our best shot and even if we failed, we won't regret it.

SO GO VOTE People! I know we are all deprived of Charray news and feeling all edgy and bored. So take this little window to GO VOTE!!!!

Right now where I live, it's begining to get real chilly.... I don't really like the cold... actually, I hate it!! I have to take a long time to bundle up before going out (socks, coat, scarf, mittens, etc) ... But the great thing is that we get snow, and that means sledding, snowball fights, etc... unfortunately snow also mean shovelling, slidding, falling, etc ..... So now I'm really confused on whether I like winter here or not.... hmmm, I wonder what season CharRay like?

I think if that's the case, then we should focus on MV for Charmaine too!! Even though I haven't seen it yet, from all the positive comments from those who have seen it and the idea of portraying 4 different characters in one series should be enough for me to truely believe that she deserve the Best Actress for this series!!

I'm quite disappointed that CharRay didn't get nominated for LWOLAP!! They were so great in there!!!! I don't know what HKers and TVB were thinking..... *shakes head sadly*

Theoretically, you have to be a HK resident to vote since they ask you for your ID no. and address. Somehow I think last year they didn't ask for the address and someone overseas did manage to vote successfully. Will explore some more and let you guys know.

It is such a pity that Ray wasn't nomainted for his performance in LWOLAP. His performance is so much better in LWOLAP. Hong Kong audience just make me *sign*sign*sign. TVB has cancelled the best couple award. I hope they will have it again next year and Charray will have a chance. Yeah, we still have Astro to look forward to, but then there's no Charray series this year loh......so need to WAIT AGAIN! ARgh......

I have seen the lighting ceremony pictures from some HK newspaper sites. The first row is the top actress and the second row is the top actors. So the first row has Dr. Shaw (big boss) in the middle, with Liza and Dodo left and right. Chamaine is right next to Dodo while Ada is next to Liza. Myolie is next to Charmaine. For the actors row, Roger is in the middle, then Kevin then Raymond. so Ray is behind Charm at least they are close enough to each other. Hope Sehseh and some other fellow fans can post the pictures soon!

Fantasy with Basketballs

Raymond's hair is all over his face and his numbered basketball T is sticking to his sweaty back. He dribbled, aimed and shot with style, totally flooring his opponent into zilch. Finally, his rival gave up and slumped on the sideline.

Rival: Gosh, you have loads of energy don't you?

Raymond: I just feel so energetic now! *thinks of his date with Charmaine in the previous night*

Raymond sped up and started shooting double baskets and all sorts of tricks. Suddenly, the ball went out of his hand. He turned around, expecting his rival to be up and a'goin again. What he saw, was a feminine looking girl, with her hair tied up in ponytail fashion, a fitting white blouse with stylish patterns on it, and some bum hugging jeans that totally flaunts her attractive legs. He stood there in awe for a moment, looking at her and appreciating her beauty, and thinking to himself, "She looks even more perfect every time I see her."

Charmaine swished her ponytail back and threw the basketball at him.

Charmaine: Dreaming?

Raymond: Yup. Guess what?

Charmaine: Hrmm...losing to me!

Charmaine darts towards Raymond and grabs the ball in a flash, trying to score a hoop. But before she can move, she felt someone pull her back on her waist, and she felt herself being lifted up.

Raymond: Dreaming of you flying round in the air!

And together, they swiveled and laughed and teased each other to their heart's content .

Yeah, how could the HK people not love LWOLAP. Well said Range, choked and shocked. LWOLAP made a huge dent in my heart. Too bad not that many people appreciate it.

I really hope Charm can win the award. I am okay if she loss to Ada or Sheren. they did a great job in DOP and LFD. No offence to Myolie fans, but I cannot accept Myolie to win the award. At least not now, when I don't have a chance to watch the series . I think it is totally unfair to put the show on the nominee list. How could people vote when they haven't even watched the series ? How many of these votes will be sound and fair? How could TVB be certain that the series is good or well received when it hasn't been aired yet? Then how come anniversary series PONR did not receive nomination years ago and the reason given to us back then was the series hasn't completed by anniversary day?? I think if those people vote for Myolie now has mistaken "loosing weight" or "sacrifice for a series" for "best acting skills". So what's the big deal about gaining and losing weight? Isn't it very common for all actor and actress to scarifice for the series? Many of them have to risk their lives to take on dangerous stunts and many did have accidents and other injuries. E.g. Charm hurt her back when filming "the crimson sabre" and this has become a chronic problem leading to her injury when filming DOP. E.g. Charm injured her neck while filming the series where she act as a nurse. She insisted on completing the filming and risk being paralyzed. She ended up taking a 2months leave. E.g. Shirley Yeung fell from the horse and have to take a long sick leave.

As for Ray, of course I wish he could win the best actor, but as Range said, it is unlikely. But I am sure he will win a "favourite characer" loh.

And, I have read the current issue of Next Magazine and it seems Ray sticked with Bernice most of the time during the TVB anniversary lighting event. They sit together all the time, whispers to each other, Bernice even wrapped her arm around Ray's and Ray "played" with Bernice's outfit. I know they are very good friends since they have the same manager and they hang out together with Sharon a lot in their spare time. And despite we don't want to admit it, Charm and Ray seem to have different circle of friends. Anyways, it is still a bit disappointing to me. and I hope I haven't shattered anyone's heart. And I am sure you all will come up with very logical and inspiring explanation for these behaviours to make us feel better.

Ok, enough sad news to make my boring work day even more depressing. Better get back to work.

I simply wouldn't mind if Ada or Sheren wins the award either, but not Myolie. Even Lisa Je thinks that Charmaine should get the award. People only think Myolie is the heat or 'black horse' for the Best Actress award because she gained weight and the series is not even air yet. Too me there are a lot of factor included to be able to win the best actress award, eg. The storyline, the cast /the casts' acting skill (Andy Hui doesn't seems very ...........). Also, a lot of people gained weight for a series, not only Myolie, don't get me wrong, I think Myolie is a good actress but not very fond of the press judging before the series air.

Don't know about you but so far I think this year's award is between Charmaine & Sheren.
Charmaine: She did a PERFECT job in MV, it's very challenging to act four different characters with completely different personality & behaviour, and Charmaine portrayed every character well. So far, I think a lot of the people that actually watched & loved the series loves Charmaine as well.
Sheren: I thought she deserved the award 2 years ago... but Gigi got it (no offence, but I think even Charmaine deserved more than her) Sheren did a fantastic job in LFD, her acting was always generally acknowledged.

I have absolutely no idea about the Best Actor Award, don't really know, I want Ray or Bobby to win

Charmaine & Ray was probably the youngest nominees for the top 5 of the Best actor/actress. Charmaine got into the top 5 in 2000-Return of The Cuckoo & she was 26. Ray got into the top 5.. I forgot I think is 2005,maybe 2004 & he is only around 25 or 26.

Yeah, I know there's nothing romantic between Ray and Bernice, they are just buddies. I just hoped that Ray and Charm can be that close as well, then we will see more of them together. BUT, ont he other hand, it is a good sign that they are not buddies. Usually one tends to be more shy and nervous in front of someone they like at the very initial stage right? Maybe I should put it as, if a guy and a girl is so free, natural and comfortable together, that means they are either like "brothers or sisters" or they are a real couple. But once a guy and a girl are classified as "brothers and sisters", it is hard to convert to another type of relationship. Am I making sense? I don't think I know what I am talking about. Awwww....that same action picture is so adorable! Charm looks so absolutely cute and Ray looks so hot.

The script of the organizer telling them not to go near each other is actually written by our very own Pearl . Haha, I didn't write another version.

I know, gosh! Charmaine was so spicy and hot and OOOLAA during the lighting ceremony. Raymond was as cool and poised as always. I agree, switch Roger with Ray! Roger got to receive the award with Charmaine that day . Ain't Ray. Sigh.

Regarding the awards, I think Charmaine have a high chance of winning. Seriously, if Myolie beats Charmaine I'll boycott every single series without Charmaine in it. Like what Helen said, Charmaine didn't get nominated during PONR because the series wasn't completed by the time of the anniversary. For gosh sakes, Myo's fat show hasn't even started yet and there she is beaming widely and having not only a chance but quite SOME chance to win! I find it really unfair. I think I can't bear Myolie anymore if she takes the award. Sheren with the award is acceptable, at least she deserves it. But Myolie, not yet. Not yet.

Charmaine's performance in MV is just great, everyone was irritated by the so called "slurr" Charmaine added for Yu Fung, but I didn't notice it even and find that it sort of makes a slight but not obvious difference between her other characters! I was too busy immersing myself within the story to notice anyway. Her second era character was just totally naive and amusing. So different from her mother! The 70's woman was just ... has this ignorant housewife-ish but very innocent aura around her. As for Dai Si Ka, oh the beauty of DSK, she was so wild and exciting and hyper at the start. Then, she became an angel. I am in idol lurve....

Conclusion: I want Charmaine to win! Haha...obviously.

Heya ppl! how are u guys? everyone doing alright?

i just read the article about ella koon being kissed by a stranger on stage (I'm not a fan of her, but anyway) and suddenly a story slipped through my mind:

During the filming of SYFW: Charray are filming a bickering scene outside in the beautiful nature. there are many fans watching them filming. Suddenly...a big, ugly guy is running towards charm and captures her. the whole crowd is screaming, the bodyguards of charm are running to rescue her, but Ray has already pushed that man away. charm, very scared and shocked, falls into his arms. the bodyguards take that crazy man away, while ray is still holding charm in his arms...

then some of the filming crew come to take charm away to comfort her. Ray is still standing and looking surprised at the back of charm, surprised about how good it felt to hold charm in his arms.

At the following press conference: the reporters ask charm about that incident and how she will thank ray for saving her.
charm: "there are different ways to thank him for all he has done for me."

reporters: "which ways?", while Ray is starring at charm, thinking: "oh...she wants to thank me? I guess, it's me, who has to thank her for being able to feel her in my arms!"

Charm: for example, this way! *leans over to ray and kisses him on his cheek*

Ray: *blushes* *speechless*

Next day on all HK news papers: "Ah Sheh kissing Lam Fung at a press conference! Is this the beginning of a serious romance?"


uuuhhh...don't take this story for serious! it's just my imagination of our beloved charray! But keep in mind: this or some other cute charray incidents still can happen during filming SYFW! (not that i wish charm to be stalked by such a crazy guy...)

Charmaine Leads Internet Polls for Best TVB Actress

The nominations for TVB's Anniversary Awards have now been released and the internet polls have been going wild as the battle of the fans begins to select their Best Actor and Best Actress Awards. Early results indicate that Joe Ma and Charmaine Sheh are in the lead with their roles in "Maiden's Vow".

Early indications on an internet poll suggest that Charmaine is leading the 'Best Actress' stakes, 138 votes ahead of second place Sheren Tang. However, in the poll for "My Favourite Television Character", Sheren leads Charmaine by 106 votes. The other hot favourite Myolie Wu is lagging behind a little with just 11 votes because her series is yet to air.

In the 'Best Actor' category, Raymond Lam is in second place with his nomination for "La Femme Desperado" behind leader Joe . The 'Best Drama' is currently led by "La Femme Desperado" way ahead of the second place "Maiden's Vow". Uber-popular game show "Beautiful Cooking" is leading the way in both the 'Most Creative Show' and 'Best Variety Performance' category. However, Ronald Cheng has been beaten back into second place for 'Best Host' by Sammy Leung.

Charmaine was happy about her lead in the polls: "If the result on the night is like this, that would be good, but it is still early and there is still nearly a month to go. (Are you nervous?) I will just stay calm. However, I do hope that the internet pollers will vote for me in the TVB vote as I am quite confident of winning an award."

I am still having problems with the stupid TVB website. First it cannot recognize my account no. I have re-registered many times but still cannot activiate my account. I have even tried to logon/resiter with different computers, still no use. Finally I got a "valid" account yesterday and when i try to vote now the website is not working.....arrggh,,,,,,so stupid. But I will keep trying as I must do my part to support Charray. Wish me luck!

Yeah Arashi, I read that news too and I am soooo glad that Myolie is way behind. No offense, but I just don't think it is fair to judge before the series is aired. Even the way TVB arranged it now, I think it is totally unfair too from a survey design point of view. People are lead to compare Myolie with a standard set by the leaders ie Sheren and Charm, instead of comparing each nominee equally. This way Myolie's chance is increased instead of each nominee has 1/20 chance. This is actually a biased survey. Again, I am just talking about survey questionnaire design here.

Anyway, without getting too "technical" here, let's all vote! It will be a tough battle for Charm as Sheren is a very strong opponent, but I think Charm has a very high chance. Let's all cross our fingers. As for Ray, I wish he could win, but honestly, Siu Chia is not that outstanding comparing to other nominees.

Charm ran to Ray and hug him from the side, you can see her eyes begins to redden and tears starts to form.

Charm:No, I still love you, I never used you. Revenging is one of my plan, but falling in love with you isn't a part of it.

Myolie:You are lying (Pointing at Charmaine)

Ray pushed Charmaine on the ground

Ray:I loved you, yet I hate you. You are the climax of my book, but now is cover with black ink, it's also unerasable. (Tears forming on his handsome yet plain face)

Anyways, I wasn't here because I was away at Sungai Congkak, having a rough it out! It's my first time walking against the current in a river. Boy was it exciting, thrilling and scary! Haha, I kept slipping. Thank god for helpful friends! I was so inexperienced. I kept selecting big dark green stones to step on while I am actually not supposed to because those are the most slippery ones of the lot! And I was like grabbing a hold on every big rock I can find by the time I reached the climbing bend and where the current is strongest. I almost got a leech as well, jumped out of the water just in time. Phew. I am just too freaked of leeches. I hate leech.

We also ventured around in the dark on Friday night. It was scary! And the place is rumoured to be heavily haunted, though I didn't spot anything. One of my friends saw a white something, but she said she can't be certain. COULD be a pontianak, this ghost who died of child labour and is not at peace.

Sehseh, I can't seem to find Coral Sea either. My MV organization was quite bad so it is everywhere in my computer. Been trying in the last couple days, still cannot find Coral Sea loh. Can you describe a little more about the other instrumental one you are looking for? I have 2 instrumental LWOLAP MVs but not sure if they are the ones you are looking for since I use my own file name to save the files. Wish I could help more....

Sweet lady: Yes, I have read thost 2 articles too. Ray has denied having a secret relationship with Linda. He said that they were seen together because of filming the series and that when he changed his clothes in the van, Linda was at the other side. Everything was made up by the reporter and the pictures were seen as it is because of the shooting angle. He also mentioned that he doesn't think of Linda as a girl, except for her voice. HOWEVER, when asked if there is any chance for him and Linda to be together in the future, he said that anything is possible in the future....hmmm....wonder if there's any hidden meaning in this line....

By the way, I was at shehsheh.com and reading a post with Charmaine's video clips in previous anniversary shows, I saw that in 2002, there was a medley of TVB theme songs and Charray were both in it together with quite a few other fa dans and siu sans. Charray actually hold hands for a few seconds. Too bad the quality of the video was quite bad you cannot see it too clearly!

I'm finally back to my CharRay fanatic self now!!

I'm going to do some off topic, personal, frustration-relieving rant next... so skip these next few paragraphs if you don't wanna read it.... don't say I didn't warn you....

These past fews days have been tough on me... I had a big fight with my very best friend and it sadden me greatly.... I also have to take care of a few personal business at home.... *sigh* Don't feel like talking about this topic much..... So I'll spare you....but....
Then in the school aspect, I have tests to study for and book reports to write .... furthermore, I lost my Bio lab manual where I store ALL of my valuable notes to study!!!! I've been running around the campus searching from buildings to buildings and asking everyone I could find in hope of getting it back..... but no luck... I now have to go buy a new manual and borrow notes from my friend to copy from.... and no offense to my friend who was gratious enuff to let me borrow the notes, but she didn't take as much note as I have...... Darnit!! I want my good notes back!!!!! I'm nearing the point to making a lost poster and adding a reward to whoever returns it to me!!!! If only I had taken a pix of that manual.... I think I'm gonna take pixes of all my personal belonging now juz in case this happen again... then it'll be easier to make posters.... I think I'm even more insane now, believe it or not.....
Please please please, for the Love of CharRay, let me find that manual!!!!!!!!!!

......and to add to my school work and personal burden, my comp is now broken!! Best Actor:

Who deserves to win: Eventhough I'm a huge Ray's fan and I support him no matter what (even with this voting), I really think Steven Ma deserves to win this year for his great portrayal in Safe Guard!! I used to be a huge Steven Ma's fan .... my Ma-Jai obsession died down after he left TVB... Although he is back in TVB and in my life, my idol-heart is now totally occupied by CharRay.... But I have to admit Steven is a talented actor whose comeback has been well-received by all, including me.... Steven was the "it" factor adding to the well-written plot that made Safe Guard so enjoyable to watch... he was even great enuff for most viewers like me to overlook Elaine Yiu and that annoying old lady who played the mother (Charm's sifu in LWOLAP)...
If only Ray was nominated for his role in LWOLAP! Then I will wholeheartedly support him in all aspect and not vote only becoz he is magnificent Raymond Lam, my #1 male idol...... When deciding who's deserving, I only consider the actor's portrayal in the nominated series and not the others which they have acted.... If you consider all their other roles too, new and old, then the series's name wouldn't be included right? (BTW, do I make sense at all? Please tell me if I don't so I can stop while I'm behind in the future) NEwayz, my point is that Ray's portrayal in LFD wasn't as strong as his other roles .... Maybe I'm a little bit biase becoz I despise the Ray-Melissa pairing, but ...... IMO, "Fung Hang Lit" totally deserves the Best Actor, but "Chai Foon" is not quite there yet....
Don't get me wrong, I will be totally ecstatic if Ray wins Best Actor..... but I won't mind it if Steven wins....
Who is/are the strong contender(s): Joe Ma, Adam Cheng, Moses Chan
Who I will vote for: Ray of course!!! Becoz my CharRay obsession overcomes logical sensitivity.....
Who will win: Bobby Au Yeung (for his status in TVB and FH's high rating.... BTW, has Bobby win Best Actor yet? If not, add the over-due factor to the list of why his will win)
Who will probably win juz becoz fate is against me: Bowie Lam (TVB did gave Roger the award two times, with one year in between)
Who's nominated only to fill up slots and who's win would mark the end of life as we know it: Kenneth Ma (what role did he play in Love Guaranteed again?)


Best Actress:

Who deserves to win: The one and only Charmaine Sheh See Man!!!!!! Her tragic role in DOP was amazing!!!! Eventhough many find DOP to be a flop, I luv it totally!!!! It's easily, in my opinion, the best series of 2006!! Contrary to many haters' opinions, Charm's role in DOP was NOT typical of her previous role!! Someone inform me of what other characters which Charm has portrayed that is like her character in DOP, and I will inform you otherwise..... The character Chun Fen is a complex character who changes dramatically as the series progresses.... Amazing amazing amazing crying skills by Charm in here!!!!
Although I haven't seen the Viet version of MV yet, I have seen the Chinese version.... I didn't even understand a word anyone say in the series but I could feel what her characters were trying to portray.... I got totally different vibes from each of the four characters.... Imagine how confusing it must be to get into two, three, or even four characters in a day to film... and the result is simply splendid!! To me that is impressive and most deserving of the title Best Actress!!

The over-rated drama queen of the year is no other than Myolie Wu! No offense to Myolie's fans... this is juz my opinion!
Yes, her gaining weight and losing weight "sacrifice" for Lush Field is impressive... but not commendable.... I kinda find it funny to refer to her actions as a "sacrifice" .... Gaining weight to me is not a problem... I bet TVB covered all her food expenses too and all her big clothes were probably sponsored ... I would love to get to gorge down fatty food and get praises for it!! Losing weight is tough, but not when you have a major weight-loss company helping you and also pay you with tons of $$ in the process..... Not to mention all the publicity she got during filming ... Although some of those news are negative, still, a lot of actors/actresses have done worse to get publicity.... I remember when Lush Field was filming, not a single week goes by where I didn't see Myolie in the news! I think there was even a time when Myolie actually asked the reporters to come juz so she can spread the news of her losing a cell phone or something... *sigh* I was sick of seeing Myolie onscreen before (remember Myolie's 5 series in 2005? I don't really, not the series, juz the # of series) and I am now sick of seeing her offscreen in the news all the time...... My point is that Myolie's gaining weight is not at all a sacrifice since she got more possitive out of it than "sufferings" .... The definition of sacrifice should be actors/actresses having to film in negative degree temperature or boiling dessert heat.... (like the cast of WAB and DOP and many other series) .... or film a dangerous cliff side scenes w/out stunt doubles... or the likes..... Like Helen mentioned, Charm had to visit the ER many a times due to filming injuries... If that is not sacrifice, then I don't know what is!!
Juz gaining weight does cut it for a Best Actress!! It's so bias of TVB to nominate her for a series that haven't even aired yet!! And it's irritating the heck out of me that Myolie actually got votes already!! Those ppl are basically juz vote for their favorite actress and not Best actress in term of skills....
Why is Myolie even a contender at this stage? The media should juz focus on Ada, Charmaine, and Sheren now instead of Myolie.... Once Lush Field airs and we actually see her ACTING, then I will deem it's appropriate for Myolie to join the race.... All this hype over nothing and Myolie's intersecting role in SYFW is begining to make me hate her more.... once again, no offense!!

So in continuation of my prediction....

Who is/are the strong contender(s) (deservingly): Ada Choi, Sheren Tang
Who I will vote for: Charmaine of course!!
Who will win: I'm going to say===> Charmaine Sheh (TVB and the voting public is not that ignorantly biased, I hope)
Who will probably win juz becoz fate is against me: Myolie (I will be boycotting all her series.... wait.... SYFW....ay yai yai.... *argh*!!! ... okie, I will boycot all her series that don't have CharRay!!)
Who's nominated only to fill up slots and who's win would mark the end of life as we know it: Toby Leung ('nuff said...)

The rest of the awards, I don't really care about that much.... But if you guys are interest in how I feel about them (which I doubt you would, but I'm juz gonna lay down the offer to humor you guys), juz tell me and I'll write more

I missed sharing the Lighting Ceremony excitement with you guys!! So many events are coming up!! Too bad this is my busy time of the year Hopefully I won't miss the actual anniversary!!
Seeing the Lighting Ceremony is great!! So many actors and actress together again!! It's super great to see Charm being so close to the middle again! And Ray kinda move closer to the middle too hasn't he? Also, did you guys notice that he also switched side? Last year, he was standing on the other side... now he's on the same side as Charm! Not only that, he's practically standing behind her!! Now you see what I was talking about with CharRay magnetism moving them closer and closer and closer....lolzz....
But then there's Myolie.... I think TVB purposely put Ray kinda in between Charmaine and Myolie as an early-promotion for SYFW or sumthing..... It's obvious that TVB is favoring Myolie... If you watch the TVB Lighting Ceremony show, the shot keep zooming on Myolie in the audience... it's annoying really... but hey, I can't complain when I get to see beautiful Charm dancing and hear her sweet voice in melody!!
Charm looks gorgeous and Ray looks super handsome!! Babysports is so right about Ray's black and Charm's red matching!! They would look so kute together!!!! I'm glad CharRay are so near each other.... but too bad there are hardly any pixes of them together by themselves ...

Yeah, the arm linking was kute! But it would be much kuter if none of the others were there, and if Ray has his arm around Charm and CharRay have their heads together.... and maybe standing under the Eiffel Tower... and then Ray takes off his jacket to wrap it around Charm fro fear of her being cold... and then maybe Ray will hinted that he needs something from the pocket of his jacket and for Charm to get it for him... and then maybe Charm reaches into the pocket and feels.... a small box... and then maybe Ray will tell her to open it ... and then maybe when she does, she discover a beautiful diamond ring... and then maybe Ray will get down on one knee and proposes... and then maybe Charm will smile sweetly and accept.... and then maybe they will kiss passionately in Paris... juz maybe.....

my dear Helen, how you have depressed me with that news of Ray and Bernice ... However, I refused to believe that Ray and Bernice is anything more than friends!! Like Kelly and others said, Ray probably treat her like his guys friends!! He wouldn't publicly display those gestures if they are really together would he? He said he don't want rumor mah....
Here's my take on the whole thing... Becoz Charm has to perform in the show, Ray can't sit with her even if he wanted to.... Ron is not there either and Sharon has to perform.... since Bernice is his friend, he hangs around her... or should we say she hangs around him.... we don't know.... in one of the pix, Bernice the the one who was linking her wrist around Ray's arm while Ray has his other arm around another actress... don't worry, this actress is a middle age woman....
So in conclusion, Ray is not with Bernice.... But he could very well be with Charm...
I totally get what you were talking about in you latter post Helen! Ray and Bernice are juz buddies, nothing else It's amazing that one post of yours can make me feel so sad yet another cheer me up and give me hope hihihi
