About Raymond, I still go for him due to his amazing voice and good acting skills. I admit that he looks pretty gay here and there however, it's Ray! He is somewhat girlish, and that is why I like him so much more than others. He has this sensitive sense to him and just makes him so gentlemanly. Sometimes when he chooses to act macho it only completes his gentleman image. Anyways, I don't think I am getting myself ><.

Raymond and Charmaine's really matching in terms of criteria and personality. However, like you said Helen, love comes unexpectedly. But in my opinion XD, Raymond is ALREADY in love with Charmaine but he is being too shy to reveal it! He said so himself that he would be really too shy. Charmaine fits all his criterias so maybe he mentions those criterias because he is thinking of Charmaine?

I think that in Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion, it is VERY EASY for either Raymond or Charmaine to fall in love with each other. Yes, they might be professional enough to avoid the feelings but in fact, look at all the loving and passionate eye contacts! In my opinion, even a fierce kiss won't be as attractive as one session of very loving and direct eye contact! And anyways, they DID share a very hella fierce kiss .

And in the photos of them together behind the scenes just shows how close they are. Talking together, Ray drinking coffee while Charmaine is fanning herself.

Ngo Siu wakes up as Fung Hang Lit and discovers Mung Yiu beside him. He is sad because he doesn't know why he's suddenly in the ancient era and becomes melancholy. However, he soon warms up to Mung Yiu because she is so caring and she really reminds him of Mandy.

While in the modern era, Charmaine feels really confused about her own feelings. She was so certain that she had no feelings for him, but now that Ngo Siu is lost, she suddenly felt this sudden longing. She is extremely sad and cries.

In the meantime, Fung Hang Lit thinks back to the time he is Ngo Siu and replays the happy times when he was with Mandy. At the same exact moment (you can try dividing the screen to two to show them expressing love ), they felt deep love for the other. And therefore Fung Hang Lit is transported back to the future with a more mature mind. He encounters Mandy and smiles at her. Mandy chuckles and smiles back, walking towards him.

I suddenly had this idea in my head. Amazing ability to fantasize today. That's it for now! Anyways, my themesong collection is almost complete! Remember to check back to see whether I've got what you need!

I know, stimes these tapes, even DVDs are so unreliable. I got my DOP disk 3 last night and it could NOT play. I think it was scratched. So I have to rush back to the rental store and exchange it before they close....thank god I was able to exchange another one......

My exams are stalking me! Do you know that while I am uploading songs, I will be clutching this small notebook memorizing history or geographical facts? I don't think I can write one until after 24 of May. Maybe you guys can just be satisfied with my DOP episode summaries, since those do not require plots and creativity from my part. I'm just really picky and critical when it comes to my own work so usually I'll just edit edit edit until it goes into shreds .

Well, I've finally made it to the reply button lol...

Anyway, before LWOLAP I already like Raymond and Charmaine individually, so I was really looking forward when I heard they would be collaborating in a series. Even more so when I read that they would be paired up. Like others, I also had my reservations due to my own preferences (I can never accept a guy younger than me!)

But I really enjoyed it and I found myself rooting for them and looking forward to their scenes together. I just loved all those meaningful gazes, those considerate gestures as well as their dedication and love for each other. I was really impressed by it, although it hasn't changed my personal view about an older woman, younger man relationship ;-p Still want my man to be older than me, or at least the same age hehe...

After reading so many good reviews about Charray in Yummy Yummy, I am really looking forward to it. Definitely will watch it this summer...

About Raymond looking more effeminate since his new hair cut, I am afraid I have to agree. His clothing (pink (fuchsia) shirt!) and some of his poses don't help either... However, I still like him the most from the new generation. He seems to be the only one to have the whole package: looks, acting skills, singing skills, wealth, personality and so on. He seems to be too perfect lol...

Lastly, yup I'm finishing up haha... , I feel like writing fanfics again and during my thesis writing, ideas kept popping up so who knows I might cast Charray if I ever decide to work out those ideas...

Well said Black Eyed Susan! I so agree with you - I have liked Ray and Charm as individual too before LWOLAP and I am so thrilled to see them paired up in LWOLAP. Their chemistry and electric eyes really got us all hooked and rooted for them. I personally are a little concerned about getting a boyfriend younger than myself too, but it doesn't bother me at all even at the beginning that Charm is older than Ray. I mean, it really didn't even hit my mind that she is older before people start making the age difference a big deal. And I was nodding so hard when you said Ray is the best among the new generation and how he has the total package! So true, so true!

And the happiest part is that you plan to start writing fanfic again!!! You have to cast Charray loh, there are so few fanfic about them, please don't disappoint us lah! Really looking forward to a Charray fanfic.

I love him! tvb should promote him more!

Along with this is Charmaine and Raymond. Man, guys dont laugh when i tell u this::: Raymond is getting scarier and scarier by tapes.....whenever the king or Lord yin is having a conversation....U will kno that Raymond is behind a tree or hiding behind the door eavesdropping!! Plus, his cunning expression scared me a little....SIGH! I think Raymond is being pulled deeply into his own justiceness and confidence...believing that he can give a peaceful life to all mongols and hans but I dont think he is....because his plan involved in a lot of Han's killings....Moreover, He knos that Lord Yin will be an open-minded and righteous king. But instead of helping Lord Yin's relationship with the king. Raymond helped the grandson to cause more misunderstandings between the 2.....So later, he can take the grandson as puppet when he becomes King. Ridiculous....I cant wait till Charmaine finds out about his real identity!

I juz saw some pixes of the AAW concert and Charmaine was singing a tri-et (is this a word?) with Justin Lo and Alex Fong... About the younger man - older woman relationship, I surprisingly feel that it's not a problem. Let's say its just 3-5 years, so what? I mean, I don't expect to have a relationship NOW. If the guy's gonna be younger than me, he will be a dwarf xD. Being the 14 year old that I am. But once we grow up into our 20s, are there really any difference in age? Heck, let's say you don't know the guys age but you find him easy to talk to. Will it matter?

That's what I think anyway. So I guess I can FULLY accept a younger man older woman relationship. PLUS. It's the modern days. Let's think more to the GIRLS RULE perception. Why can men have younger partners, but not women?

Yes, Ray is definitely the whole package! I have to admit that he doesn't always look good. Rather gay sometimes. But looks doesn't matter much to me. I just really favour his style, his voice and his attitude towards life. A bubbling and enthusiastic drive but subtle and mature in a way as well. Perfect package indeed .

The fans of both men and women will buy the CD as well as the fans of the couples. Boscolie, Mo and Bernice and pray Raymond and Charmaine! I think Kevin will be with Niki though. Wowzers, lol, I'm dreaming of an MV of Charray something like Kiss Goodbye by Leehom. That MV has lotsa hot kisses.

Yeah FUNG HANG LIT is really really realistic. Good acting by Ray! I wasn't scared or anything but I love his 'evil' stares. Especially the one where he leaned on the pillar and turned round, with a little of his hair hanging down. And he slowly rivets his pupils up. It's like a thunder struck me. I'm attracted to ancient men xD.

Plus, ISN'T DEREK KWOK AWESOME?!?!?! He's on my 'Loved Side Characters' list now. I hope TVB gives him more ancient series to act in and more emotional scenes. Because you know what, in the whole of LWOLAP I have to say that Derek's crying in front of Sonija's grave is the best of all. Second is Charmaine's in episode 33 when she stabbed Raymond. But heck, Derek is so great!

I kinda like the "evil" FHL too. I like how he is not truly evil since he doesn't want to hurt his friends and loved ones and I like how his "evil" side demonstrates how smart he is and his leadership skills. He does give you a "royal" feeling as the Mongolian leader.

Yeah, I was a bit busy writing my thesis, so I just came here to read the comments hehe... But now that it's finished and my thoughts are a bit more structured and I have the time, I could finally post the things I wanted to say...

About those kind of relationships, it's just that in my mind that an older man who has more life wisdom and maturity is more appealing. The fact that he might offer more stability is also a bonus. I am quite a childlike (or maybe even childish lol) person, and in my experience younger guys are too much alike...

In my opinion, Fung Hang Lit is one of Raymond's best performances. Yet strangely, I didn't have a crush on him while watching this series. Instead, I had a crush on Lord Yin lol... He's just so righteous, nice, understanding, open-minded, gentle and so on *swoons* Also the men had a better casting and performances, while from the girls I only liked Charmaine...

My two favourite scenes were when Raymond hugged Charmaine after the death of her sifu and Sonija. The former had some powerful acting from Raymond in which he conveyed his inner struggle. All those mixed feelings were in his facial expressions. He knew he was the cause that the woman he loves is hurting, yet he can't do anything about it. Same goes for the second hug after Sonija died.

I like Lord Yin very much too. He is so considerate, gentle and righteous. Evergreen has portrayed this character very well. ACtually one of the reasons I like LwOLAP very much is that almost every one, especially the male cast acted so well in it. As blacked eyed Susan said, Raymond has given his best performance and I like how he can convey the inner struggles in a very subtle way through his facial expressions. Evergreen, Power, Derek have all given outstanding performances. In comparison, Sonija, Sharon, Suet Lei are weaker loh. Charmaine's acting is good, but CMY is not my favourite. However, I fell in love totally with the Charmaine and Raymond pairing and the chemistry they share.

My English isn't good so i can't show you my ideas . But i'm very because of your greeting for me . I'm so happy to become a Charray House's member ! Now i'm very busy so i can't watch "LWOLAP" , hope that in next two months , i can watch this film .

I am attracted to his 'evil' eyes. But yeah, I like Lord Yin very very much! Evergreen Mak, Derek Kwok, Power Chan and even the teddy bear master John/David Chiang made it into my favourite side actors list. They are amazing! Evergreen Mak is so gentle, and to be honest if he build up his body a little and be less chubbier I do think he has the potential to be rather good looking. I am perfectly satisfied right now though, because he has this very kindly aura to him .

The hugging scene in episode 26 is my favourite Charray scene of all! Raymond's mixed emotions and very realistic expression plus Charmaine demostrated her IMMENSELY impressive crying in there made me love it so much. They broke my heart, and the time they zoomed out to show the paddy fields or something just make it sooooooooo nice and romantic. I agree with Helen that Mung Yiu is not exactly my favourite character, Chun Fen is, but the chemistry is the best ever!

My favourite Charray embrace is when Charm said that despite the whole world doesn't trust Ray, she will. Ray is so touched and hugged Charm. I like Charm's expression - you can tell she is 100% confident and trusted Ray. And Ray's expression after he listened to what Charm said - awwww, so touched and appreciative. A close second will be the scene after Sonjia died and Charm cried so hard on Ray's shoulder. Charm looks so sad and hurt, while Ray seems to be hurting too since he know that Charm is shattered. He hugged her so tight...and the background the sunlight....the whole picture is sooo beautiful....

Ah, yes, Alice, agreed that other than Ray, Evergreen, Derek and Power are all excellent. Just love these guys in LWOLAP!

I have been waiting for Charray fanfic too! Unfortunately, still cannot find one. There were a few of us at this forum who want to attempt, but for various reasons they haven't started or working on it very slowly
As for winglin, I cannot find a good one there either. There were a couple uncompleted ones. If you read some of our earlier posts, you will find links to two Charray fanfics on asianfanatics site, BUT, I think those have not been updated for months now.

Yes! The guy cast in LWOLAP is totally perfect! The females are a little lacking. Teh only girls I like is Charmaine (totally obvious-LA) and the person who makes wine and all for Master Long. They are both gorgeous and nice!

Anyways, the scene where they were burning the sifu's corpse is not supposed to be sad ... much ... I guess. I didn't cry, well, didn't cry a lot. But it's purpose is more to the uprising of Charmaine as the new leader, as she is like standing at the front. But we're all too happy seeing Charmaine cry on Raymond's shoulder to be really sad enough anyway! Right?

That embrace, with the background of these fields thingy, is MY FAVOURITE! Love it love it love it. I mentioned this before. Helen, you mean the same scene right?

Ok, I just received this week's tape...Totally eventful...

Bosco and his dad finally united after Bosco saved him from the phantoms (mongolian warriors disguised as). Sharon seemed to be developing with Lord Yin (im happy for Lord Yin and sad for Bosco.Sigh.)

SHOCKING NEWS: Charmaine and Power discovered Ray's true identity. "I'm the Khubalai's descendant" But i was expecting a real "fight" between them but they just talked....seriously. However, i didnt want them to fight when Ray said "I fought u before and never intended to fight u again"...his eyes were smoldered with remorse....... BUT HE was still lying that he has no intention of turning the Han's dynasty over......After Charmaine believed him...He insisted on lying.....tskk....also to naive Bosco!

Luckily, Raymond still has a heart of not hurting those around him.....Phew!...yet his so called "loyal mongolian brothers" are planning a conspiracy to kill Bosco.....UH OH! the tape ended right there!

Wow, Derek did a good job of being the relentless, cold and decisive Pong Ban this week. Hes crazy now after Sonija's death- the only person who he claimed to be the only one that knows that he is a compassionate man. Nonetheless, I find his crying a little over the top...its kinda like a force or maybe hes deeply hurt....but still if he silently cries with those expressive eyes similar to Rays...it will be better....hehe

Regarding the favourite scene, well, mine is the scene when Charm learned that Ray is the Mongolian prince and she tried to convince him to admit it to the King and Lord Yin, and then she pledged her trust in FHL that he wouldn't do anything to overthrow the Ming Dynasty. Loved Charm's expression - so full of confidence and love for FHL. And Ray's complicated eye expressions just showed he is deeply touched by Charm's trust yet he is very guitly for having to lie to her again.

My close second favourite scene is the one you like the best, if I am not mistaken - Charm cried on Ray's shoulder saying that she is all alone in the world now, with the fields and sunshine background loh.

Anyways, gotta go watch new DOP episodes! Will be back tomorrow!

I love that scene, as well as the scene where Raymond was being accused for stealing the sword. The expression on Charmaine when she saw the present in the bread thingy that Raymond gave her is priceless.
