Seriously, I am not sure about you guys, but the recent news about Chilam going to be a dad really makes Charlian less convicing to me. Having a girlfriend is one thing, but being a dad is another thing. It is much more commitment and definitely much stronger ties as a family. Charlian still looks wonderful and I think they still have lots of chemistry, but I think it is time that we don't get so hung up on Charlian loh. Anyway, just my views lah. I will be most happy to read YOUR fanfic, whether it is Charlian or Charray. So hope you will write it soon.

As to DOP vs LFD, it is really a hard choice since they are so different. To me, DOP is very boring at the beginning. I don't really like the time period this drama is in, and I don't find the storyline interesting at all. I wasn't that hooked to WAB in the first place,so I am not too thrilled by this supposedly WAB II. I wasn't too thrilled, I am more like curious to see if it is as great as it has been promoted, and for supporting Charmaine. BUT, after episode 16 or so, the drama has gotten more intense. The power struggle and conflicts between the 2 clans and within the clan heightened and make the story more interesting. I am looking forward to the next DVD. BTW, the scenery is beautiful. You don't see the desert and the remote parts of China that often, so it is kinda an eye opener.

As for LFD, I think it is more light hearted and humourous. Sheren's performance is superb. Loved her interaction with Michael Tse (not sure if it is his name - I mean Tse Tin Wah) and almost everyone. Raymond is soooo cute in it, although I don't really like his kiddish behaviours. I also dislike Melissa's character. But overall, I enjoyed this series very much from epi 1 to the end. It talked about office politics and more mature topics on relationships. I suppose I can relate to that more . Not that I am saying the scheming and cunning behaviours of those characters in DOP is immature subject matter....

u all can call me bb...to be honest i wasnt that hooked to WAB last yr as well...first thing, too slow...and i only picked it up halfway through, when there was this big hoo-ha abt it. interesting towards the end, but then i dont get quickened heartbeat looking at bowie and gigi >< ...
DOP looks really intense, and i love beautiful scenery of china... oh and WOW the ratings of LFD are really impressive! broke the tvb record i heard...so i conclude the see-lais have simple taste, like comedy like LFD and PillowCase etc, and cant appreciated our dear LWOLAP.

anyway, want to say that the MVs u pple make are wonderful! esp the Kou Chong - FHL - CMY one...pity i dont have such video skills thou...but i updated my fanfic ~ cheers

I think after LWOLAP shows in Malaysia, we would have a bigger fanbase! Malaysia loves Raymond and Charmaine! Plus, they love the works of LWOLAP's director (TOB, A Step Into The Past). So I think Charray is definitely going to be a HIT here. Expecting them to win Best Couple for Astro Awards 2006/2007. Saving money now too! So that I can vote like mad for them!

DOP, WAB, LFD

DOP: So far so good. It's interesting but not addictive. Especially not as addictive as LWOLAP! The character doesn't have much depth and the series mainly concentrates on the conflicts. They try to emphasize more on masculine factors but as usual, our lovely ladies took the spotlight. I would want to continue watching but I don't get addicted. Though I would have to say I go crazy over some scenes.

WAB: Nice, love Yee Shun, but not addictive.

LFD: Would it say anything if I mention that I gave it up at episode 4? Raymond's an eye candy and Sheren's awesome but Mel irritates me and the plot is pretty boring. For me. I am not the type for family drama/comedy/stuff.

Ohgod bb! I just read your fanfic and I must say that I absolutely love it!

Your idea of the union of people from the modern and past is especially unique. This is the best fanfic I have ever read! I like how you seem to have used Fung Hang Lit from LWOLAP and Mandy Chow Man Hei from Yummy Yummy. I love Mandy, so much that I love her more than Mung Yiu. And Fung is my favourite Ray character! So it's a perfect match! I am looking forward to know whether Charmaine will stay back with him or will Raymond follow her to the modern times. It would be funny though, if the latter! Though I would have preferred it if Charmaine fell for Raymond (or Raymond for Charm/together) later in the fanfic. I am not a love at first sight fan ^^.

Leila and Ron is cute too! I like the both of them. Ron's hawt and Leila's adorable. I also love the fact that Leila and Charmaine are sisters! They just sound so sisterly and nice together. Their puny and petite image matches as well. Also, I love it when you separated the both of them. You won't need to speak of them discussing the event thus lagging the story and gives them a chance to have private encounters with Ray and Ron. PLUS, I would like to see the reaction of Charmaine and Leila when they discover each other with a tanned counterpart. Other than that, Ray and Ron's reaction when they see another weird girl from the future!

Am looking forward to the potentially funny and cute situations where Ray and Ron will get confused with the customs of modern people. Am also looking forward to the climatic discovery of Charmaine and Leila's origins!

Yes - that's the typical post Charray symptoms. BTW, I have the Pre-Missing Charray anxiety Symptoms at around epi 30 already. I started to countdown to the ending, getting more and more worried every day as to how am I gonna live when LWOLAP is over.

I admit i suffered from PCAS too! i was trying to ration my vcds so that i'd not finish it so fast. but obviously it doesnt work and i watched 10 episodes a day during all my waking hours. thank goodness its vacation.
i'm not a fan of comedies either, and i gave up on Yummy Yummy at episode 3... so sorry...so i'm not familiar with Mandy the character. partly cos it showed here with horrendous dubbing, totally HORRENDOUS! its the worst dubbing i've ever heard, worse than all the mainland n taiwan stuff. the girls sounded like cartoon, and the guys sounded like permanently wearing facemasks. i hope they recast it on cable though, then i get to see my newfound interest Charray...

Yep! I agree with alice about long productions. I do not fancy them because there tends to be too much subplots that lags the whole story. But this grand production features a whole variety of artists so I think it won't be as boring. Anything with Charray in it will be one hoot of a show!

BB, yes. Torrents are at risk to copyright laws. But so far they are the only reliable series downloads for me. I do not have the freedom nor the transport nor the financial comfort to get the series myself. So I have to rely on this. There is always a small chance of getting caught. Rest assured that this chance is about as small as an ant compared to the universe. The whole world is using torrents widely now and it is next to impossible getting caught. I have downloaded for a long time and so have many of my friends. I don't think you need to be afraid to download one series .

to me, she is a breath of fresh air in a mass of cutesy, shy HK idols. don't get me wrong, i like my fair share of Niki, Linda, Twins, etc. but it is nice to see someone different. i like her since the miss HK competition. i find her talented, individualistic and unique. when it comes to physical image, she reminds me of Myolie, where her style is much like a chameleon (from tomboy to beauty queen. i think she is really gorgeous when she dresses up). i find her to be very sharp, charming and true to herself. overall, i just find her captivating much like how i find Charmaine, Raymond, Myolie captivating. maybe you should visit the Kate thread here at asianfanatics :x

This has got to be the best tape out of all. Everything I want to see is consisted in 1 tape! Perfect eh?

The candle scenes between Charm and Ray...very sweet.......the music and charaters are simply serene!

CHARMAINE angrily smacks the buns that Raymond made for her onto the filthy floor in one move!

Hurt and feeling betrayed, she yells: YOU! You took advantage of our relationship and stole the Rain Ceasing Sword!

Within Raymond's eyes...smothered now with pain and sorrow he remains quiet until the truth revealed itself.

Gently, Power whispers guiltily to Charm: I took it and hid it in a safe place.....its not Fung brother...

Furiously and offended, Raymond confesses: If it was someone esle..i wouldnt be so hurt.....Yes, everything has to be me....I'm a Mongolian but that doesnt means I'm at fault for anything. Even if I did steal that sword. I did the right thing! It belongs to the Mongolians. With this quarrel, he left. ( just my imagination hehe)

I love that scene! The next thing u kno...Charmaine decides to pacify our manly Raymond. After she told Raymond "Sorry". Eagerly, Raymond tries to find a surprise in the buns Charmaine bought for him. Disappointed. However, Charmaine claims "My surprise is staying with you and eating these buns everyday" Meticulously, Raymond gestures his hand onto Charmaine. As Charmaine returns the favor. Awwie!

Death: General Hui dies in this tape.......To me, i think he deserves it well.....too noisy...why not give Raymond a chance! BUT did u guys see Raymond's fight with Pong ban. Instead of getting mad, Pong ban is happy for Raymond's power and kung fu which has exceeds him..... what a loyal warrior!.....

Charmaine STABBED RAYMOND!! SIGH! i was totally shocked..She came out of no where....from behind. Raymond didnt want to hurt her...so he stopped but stubbornly Charmaine stabbed him.

**Mung Yiu, Sorry. Our love has ended***

DID U SEE THAT? Charmaine naturally weeps with 3 continuous tears......how painful it is...to stab ur true love that was sparing u while u did the opposite! I feel so sad for Raymond ...reluctantly....he ended their relationship with his death.....

2nd Death: Riduculous! Pong Ban dies......giving Raymond all his internal force/power. I kno that pong ban is right. To provoke Ray's strong side........he has to use brotherhood....and if he dies....Raymond will do anything to uphold his mongol's beliefs, dignity and people....Surprisingly, Pong ban decided not to force Raymond....but its too late eh? .....Imust say...that scene is impressive and deep to the heart. Both Raymond and Derek did an outstanding job...from brotherhood to the expressive lines and tears! BRAVO!

Another scene that I adore is when Charmaine told Raymond that even if the world doesnt believe in you, I do. Awwie In return, Raymond hugged Charmaine while she laid her head softly and angelically onto Raymond's broad and strong shoulder....I fainted.

Me: Tears...sobbing......angry....So now, im tired....hehe... Be back later!

PS: GUESS WHAT??! i got my eyes in the first 2 espisodes of DOP!! My stepdad took me to his chinese friend's house right...and then....his daughter about 12.....was watching DOP!! in CHINESE though...she I was like asking her questions so she can narrate it down...and she did.......Honestly, it wasnt that addictive.......YET! Also, i will be typing what happened in the first 2 eps up....be sure to lookout!

WOAH long post Alice! Well I've got to agree with you that all these scenes are awesome and I was TOTALLY tired out from all the emotion and tears. My eyes were a little sore. But I share a different opinion with you about the stabbing scene. They are both at fault. Charmaine stabs Raymond because it is necessary for her to do so. She must protect the emperor. Raymond didn't stab Charmaine because it is not necessary for him to do so. His aim is to kill the emperor. Plus, Mung Yiu is blinded by desperation, anger and disbelieve at what Raymond did. So yeah, two of them can't be blamed.

About the LFD vs DOP vs WAB thing
I personally prefer LFD over DOP and WAB. DOP is seriously boring! I was so looking forward to this series. I am stuck at eps 13. Don't even want to continue it. WAB wasn't great either. But I totally loved La Femme Desperado! That series was great! Sheren's performance was just amazing! This is the first series where I loved every character in it. I love Hilda, Man, Siu Chai, Ko Ling, Ida, Lik. I love all the couples. Also the storyline was fresh. The series was unique. But then.. TVB is releasing a new series: Lam Yun Chi Fu (Louisa So, Damien Lau, Ron Ng) and See Lai Kau Ping (Sheren, Kiki, Leila). I think these are about the same thing: how hard it is to be a woman/man. TVB is releasing so many 'it's-hard-to-be-xx' series.. That makes LFD not even unique anymore unless like before. That makes the storyline 'cheap'. I mean afterall: there will be so many series coming up with the same idea.

About the Coffee in Shanghai ff
I think I'm not going to continue it anymore. Too lazy to start with a new chapter. lol, someone would like to continue this story for me? XD. But then: it's a wasting of Zoe's time to make the beautiful poster. And it is a wasting of time to make the MV XD. I already have a whole plot in my head. I had so many things in my head, but I already forgot them . Anyway, now I'm not continue with this ff, I'll tell so guys the ending: Raymond died (No idea how he died, I think he died in a war) lol XD. Ray 'experimented' a new coffee called: FungMan's Coffee. Because he wanted to put all the memories and love between him and Charm in it. Everytime he drank the coffee, he could remind the sweet memories between them (BTW: Raymond has a coffeeshop: Fung's Coffeeshop) After Raymond died, Charm has written a book about their love called: Coffee in Shanghai. Because of this 'touching' story (Ahum..!), FungMan's coffee becomes the most known coffee in Shanghai: because ppl know that behind the coffee, there's a really touching story about this beloved couple. I want to write the ending, you know what? I am only going to write the last few chapters XD. Stupid plot ler.. XD
