~myhelen, I'm glad you like my new mv I'm kinda different from you in that I'm too lazy to read fanfics (except when they feature CharRay don't get me wrong, I luv reading (mystery novels, etc) but not on the computer screen becoz it give me headach after a while, I don't know why... probably becoz my eyes is bad soo..... and you're not wicked at all .... true love have to endure tough obstacles and believe me, Ray and Charm will have to work very hard to maintain their relationship... at least in my mv series hihihi.... yup, I'm also evil...

OT~ Charmaine and Sammul are so kute in The White Flame... I really like the part where they go on their big date on some island or sumthing ... they walk holding hand and chase each others on the beach... then Charlie (Charmaine) wants to go fish and they rented a boat but accidently lost the paddles after a while and spent the night floating together so kute... and I don't know why ppl don't comment on Sammul and Charmaine's age either... juz CharRay... hmmm, maybe b/c Sammul act more mature? I don't know, because Ray is pretty mature too ...

~alicechen, I know how frustrating that can be because it happened to me many times before... that's why after I've typed everying, I highlighted and copy what I've written onto the clipboard and then hit "add reply" because if there's any error, you can always hit paste and won't lose everything
and about my mv, yup... I've read your mind and intentionally fulfilled your dream (and mine, btw) about the song, I've always like this song ever since I first heard it a while back and there was no doubt in my mind to use it it's a beautiful song isn't it?

hey, Range: thanks for the update on bb's new fanfic... i'm psyched!

alicechen... my twin! right? hey! actually, my mom doesn't exactly ~know~ about my charm obsession... i keep it mostly underwraps.... *sly grin* actually, i probably don't hide it very well, especially since i point out ecstatically when there's a new charm series, give her the entire synopsis, catch myself, and then casually try to say, "but you know..." *shrug* "i don't know if it's a good series or not... you can rent it if you want..." yeah, i know, i should be honest with her, but, she always teases me about it and starts to criticize the artist... (i.e.: my ruby lin obsession awhile ago) so, yeah. but on another note, i'm sorry my story is confusing... *self-conscious giggle* i tend to do that... *scratches head* how can i help you clear it up?? and azn_pearl: i actually fell in love with "endless love" the first time i heard it as well... didn't quite understand the words, but still mesmerized by the poignant expression. *shrug* good luck with work and don't over work yousrelf. =)

Actually, I am really looking forward to fanfic by bb. Just the storying has already got me hooked! War, action, romance, love triangles, struggle to excel oneself, fighter jets, heroes etc. all packed into one story. Wow. They super charged!

And Hang, actually Range is the one who came up with the theory that Samuel probably didn't have a huge fan based when he paired up with Charm in the white flames. It is probably true. But then, how about the recent one -PQ? I suppose Samuel still have fewer fans than Raymond and Sam's fans are a bit different. They are less "possessive"? Or should I say, less dedicated?

i think sam probably is pretty close to rivalling ray in terms of fans... he's quite charming, sings well, and though pretty reserved, is magnetic in his own way, at least i feel that way. but anyways, i think perhaps, because he paired with charm early on (in white flame, ponr), his fans disregarded the age difference then and perhaps, is more accepting of the "reunion"... or... on another note, maybe because of the rumors of sam being gay, his fans don't care who he pairs up with. Wow . Two new posts since I last visited. Anyways, no worries Hang about not 'crediting' me. It is just a theory. I agree with you that since Samaine was paired up when Charmaine was still 20+, the fans probably wasn't too concerned. I mean, for some Sammuel fans, they probably only recognize Charmaine then as 20+ and wouldn't notice her as someone older. And like what Hang said, their reunion is more likely acceptable than most.

He has qualities that makes people suspect his 'interest', but in my opinion, he's a sensitive boy that almost every girl wouldn't mind sharing their life with xD. I am not exactly a fan of his but he is so cute sometimes. Charming, to be exact.

However, quoting Pearl, Charray all the way! Samaine still can't compete with the chemistry of Charray.

Hang: My mum is almost exactly the same as yours. Maybe one of the main differences is that my dad is on my mum's side too. They love to criticize Charmaine in front of me for the sake of it. I don't understand why they want to care who I idolize. Heck, it's NORMAL for teens to idolize a star. And Charmaine is one heck of a good star and idol. Do they think I will idolize Bush or something?

Actually I read today in Apple Daily that Ray has tried out his costume for the new 40 epi series. His character will have relationships with Linda and with Yoyo for a "Big sister young brother" relationship. Now, I am SO GLAD that it wasn't Charm to take up this role. No wonder the director didn't pick her afterall. Charm doesn't look older than Ray AT ALL! Not convincing for her to take this role. Heehee! I am putting all my hopes into the 60epi joint production. let's not slack lah, keep praying hard, ok?

Qingwa, hi there! Like what others said, lethal is one of the best well-scripted and well-acted ancient series of 2006. You cant hate anybody in there. Charmaine has her stance, Raymond does as well. Each fighting for their own culture is a fair game. The question is who will win in the end? (depending on how u see it)

This really really sucks. I wrote long CC's for both Pearl's MV and Syborg's fanfic when I accidentally clicked the back button. Curses. This happens to many of us nowadays right? This is the third time I'm typing the same thing over and over again. The original post was longer ><.

Constructive Criticism: The main problem that I noticed straight away was the point of view. As this is a diary, I assumed that the POV would be first person. However, your fanfic was like a blend of both first and third. You did use I and everything, but you explained the situations like how an outsider would see them and lacked the description of Raymond's own feelings and thoughts.

Instead of :-



I would write it like this :-

"As luck would have it, I lost my footing and fell down the stairs. I was a little disoriented when I stood up. I guess that was the reason why I got hit by the car. My vision was very blurry. It was definitely very painful and I think I lost consciousness."

It relates more to Raymond's thoughts at the time he is writing the diary. It just sounds a little more like something someone would write in his diary to me . That's just my opinion though.

As for the part where Raymond asked the permission of Charmaine's parents to go out on a date with her and marry her, I found it sweet but lacked the romance factor. I just didn't get why Raymond asked the parents first xD. Overall, it still is a good read. I don't think you should continue it though. It would be troublesome to revise the chapters into a more pure first point of view and it already ended very nicely.

Pearl's MV: You have once again improved, and storyboard wise too! I absolutely love the scene arrangements. You also have good continuity! You chose the scene where Charmaine accused Raymond for stealing the sword. It looked like Raymond was roaring at Charmaine about her relationship with Power instead. Because Power was there. And then you chose the scene where Charmaine was crying on the rock. Power was there to comfort her. Very excellent choice! The scene where Raymond saw her crying and looked so concerned totally sweetened my heart.

The transitions are once again not to my taste. The swirling one was too cartoonish and the flipping page is once again, too animated. It distracted me from appreciating your main strength, that is your good storyboard. It veered me off. Maybe it's just me xD.

One thing I simply cannot sugarcoat is the song choice. Ohmygod, why this song? It is utterly boring and monotonous. I think they repeated the same beat over and over again and there was absolutely no climax. It didn't have a rise and fall to it. It wouldn't get anybody excited. It doesn't match with the mood of LWOLAP too. What it reminded me of instead are those cheesy Hokkien shows my grandmother watches every evening. It sounds completely lazy and just isn't dramatic enough. It also reminds me of those China productions where they would play this song when the cute girl frolicks among the grass with her cute boyfriend. Ancient series of course but anyways. I just didn't get the song selection. The language didn't affect me much but the song and the beat and the melody just really irritates me ><. I hope you would consider revising and replacing this song with another one.

Geez, I know I sound harsher than I usually am. Simon Cowell made me speak like that xD. I am watching a lot of American Idol nowadays and I must have adapted the judges' way of commenting. Icks. Bad luck, my deah Pearl.

Scene choice: You never failed in this category gal, all the scenes u picked are either sweet or heartbreaking. Love the accused scene, Ray looked so hurt and shocked. Then we get to see Raymond sitting and tearing.....hic hic the flashback in black & white is very well-coordinated. Plus, the hug scene is soo sweet to even deny....

Transitions, this time its not as disturbing as before, the squirlies matched best in the flashback scene. i just found its too big...maybe u can make it smaller..Overall, its refreshing to try something new.

Music, I agreed with Range about the music being monotonous. As a Vietnamese, I have to admit that most male's singers tend to have soft voice to sing sad song. But if you understand the lyrics, its heart-wrenching.

"Silently I wish the best happiness for you.........I'll always be here waiting.........We met the last day until tears will separate our path/stance........"

aawww, it seems like no one like my choice of music this time huh... (well, except for YummyFan 535) ... I actually had a hard time choosing the right music for this mv... since I wanted it to be Vietnamese, the lyrics actually affected my decision a whole lot (more than the actual melody and voice...) I know it's quite monotonous but the lyrics are very meaningful ... match so perfectly with the scenes... and about the transition, I juz have to say to each his own opinion .... I've kept your CCs into consideration but I'm happy with the final product ... so I've decided to keep it as it is.... sorry to disappoint lah..... but hopefully my next one will be more well-recieve

About the point of view issue, you made a valid point. As you can see, I don't keep a diary. As I said a long time ago, I lead a boring existence. As for Ray asking Charmaine's father for permission to date and later to marry her, my reasons are: 1. Ray believed that because Charmaine is blind, her father would be more protective and maybe more picky as to who can date her; 2. I thought that Chinese males were supposed to do that. I never dated so I don't know. Finally, about the lack of romance, I figured not every guy is romantic, especially a guy with his past.

I guess it would be pretty troublesome, replacing the music and making good flow. I understand. The music just really disappointed me, I guess. By the way, I know the lyrics are meaningful but I am afraid not many of us can appreciate that factor. I listen to Josh Groban a lot and I don't understand Italian.

Heck, I listen to Cantonese and Mandarin songs but I don't understand what they are singing about! I'm too slow for songs. I only understand English songs, but I can still manage to go fanatic over the others. The feel and emotion and mood of the music and the quality of the beat is what really matters. The voice is just a sub factor. A good voice will emote feel.

If you feel that you needed to dedicate another MV to your race and language, I perfectly respect your decision. I can only hope that the song choice for your next MV would be good.

I actually don't write diaries too xD. I only learned all that by reading other people's online journals or some short stories in neopets. I still read every week's edition. And what I was trying to say is that it lacked the romance factor, but it was sweet. It don't necessarily need to be romantic. I agree. But just another opinion, sometimes twice is too much . Anyways, I am certainly looking forward to more from you. Great people make minor mistakes sometimes. You do, Albert Einstein do and me - I make more mistakes than anyone else in the world.

Hey everyone... i've been lurking around checking our the MVs and other goodies...just didnt find the chance to post. well...first, PEARL's MV is getting better and better! the joining of scenes was fantastic. like Power comforting her, quarrelling with FungHangLit, crying at the forest/riverbank etc...as if its a real new tvb series heehee...the song's okay, just that i don't understand it. but as long as the creator thinks it suitable with special feel, its alright to me ...

mmm i hope you've been following my new fanfic...and thanks for the advertising esp range haha...

syborg's fanfic is great too, i liked the POV diary thing...but a little too short eh? such a waste on a good storyline...potential tearjerker with charm being blind and ray disabled. mmm... hope to see your new short story soon!

whoa. i've missed out on so many new comments. actually, i've visited this topic a couple of times, but i just didn't have anything to contribute so i lurked. anyways, enough with my insanity...

random thought, it seems like we have another pair of twins: AznVietGirl9025 and Yummyfan535... how neat!

ok, so onto the thoughts: Pearl's MV: i actually have no criticism of your latest MV. this time, i actually managed to watch the whole thing... (whoo-hoo!) and i appreciated the song because i honestly enjoyed the lyrics. i'm not quite sure how you managed to do it, but i'm impressed with the scene selection because as shasta84 says, it definitely does feel like an entirely new seris. =) great job. oh, and about the swirling effect with the flashback, i didn't feel that was too distracting because it was reminscent of mirages/illusions/daydreams to me. and, oh! another point, i felt charm's minor lapse of memory towards fung (at the end of the MV) was a laudable effect. overall, great job and i'll definitely catch your next "installment"/"episode". =D

syborg's "ray's diary": yeah, i felt like it was a tad too short as well... the formula was interesting though ray and charm served as a nice complement to each other... sort of like the proverbial story of the lame and blind man crossing the street. anywho, i think if you followed a similar format, you should expand on scenes that show a development in charray's relationship and perhaps challenge ray's original mentality (i.e.: start with a pessimistic ray who changes his perspective after knowing charm or vice versa [a tad overdone, but if you wanted drama it could be possible]) or maintain the narrative style and provide more obstacles to the charray relationship. melissa and ray's relationship was definitely adorable though.

Well, it is I, your resident mv creator coming back to offer you more of CharRay I can't help it I'm addicted .... "Hi, my name is Azn_Pearl, and I'm a CharRay-ic" .....

In making this 5th installment, I again faced the problem of choosing the music .... I had originally wanted to alternate between Chinese and Viet music... so if you're keeping track, mv # 5 should be embeded with Chinese music... I searched all of my chinese music collection and came up w/ very limited choices.... I finally settled on a S.H.E song (yes Rangie... you are right about me liking S.H.E before ) I really like this song for it's sad melody.... So I started and was almost finish when I found out that the ending juz wouldn't fit right... I spent a long time listening/watching and re-observed the whole thing... but it juz didn't feel right...

So then, not finding any Chinese song which "feels right," I reluctantly chose a Viet song ... this time, I didn't concentrate on the lyrics too much... The translated title for the song is "Because I Love You" (same as the mv title ... I am not creative w/ title) and sung by Bang Kieu and Minh Tuyet ... the guy's voice is kinda weird and I don't really like it, but I like the girl's voice and the melody of the song....
Okie, enuff of me boring everybody.... Here comes the good stuff...

heh... you're fun, azn_pearl... *drone-like voice* "hell-oh, asi-an_pe-arl." no worries about being a charray addict. i'm sure quite a number of those who frequent this forum will readily admit to such a problem... oh, and "sweating out charray series like... me in this hot weather"... *grin* quite a witty one you are. but anywho, i'm downloading your MV right as i type... *runs away to wait impatiently* OH! *skips back* while i remember, sehseh has updated some info about charmaine's whereabouts at idlemindsehseh.blogspot.com... (apparently charm has some functions to attend thsi weekend, which bodes well for charm fans because that = long-awaited news and pictures! *delighted squeals*) all right, i'm going back to my waiting... *frolics*

*wide grin* *my 3-year old nephew's excited voice* "WO-OW". that was... really good, methinks. superbly good. probably my favorite MV so far in terms of flowing continuity, song choice, and effects. generally i'm NOT a fan of bang kieu. i think he's got great range and voice control, but i just can't get into him. but, i thought he was actually very effective in your MV. my favorite part was when Mung Yiu drew her sword against Fung Hang Lit and Minh Tuyet was singing (some paraphrased version of) "Please say that in your lifetime, you'll only love me. Please say that you'll only need me"... and then charm lowered the sword... i thought that was a great way to evoke the guilt and also yearning in the situtation. and of course the opening and ending scenes were great... the music combined with the electric gaze shared by FHL and CMY was definitely very poignant... oh, and the ending scene, i loved how both FHL & CMY sat in heavy reflection as the music decrescendoed and Bang Kieu sang something along the lines of "And I know that our fate has ended/our love is not possible." so, in case i haven't been redundant enough, i think your song choice, "boi vi anh yeu em", was fantastic, even though you weren't focusing on the lyrics and i would prefer you keep the song rather than change it to the S.H.E. song (although a soulful song in and of itself). the only portions of the video i wasn't thrilled with was the sunrise-transition-to-forest scene. it felt too abrupt to me, but at the same time, it's a very nit-picky detail. anyways, i can't say it enough, but great job and thank you so very much for sharing it with us. =) oh, since you typed "to be continued" at the end, i assume there will be 6th installment?? *hopeful, optimistic puppy-dog eyes*


hey, susan_snowrain! *waves* you probably don't know me, but i did watch all of your MVs during the LWOLAP fanaticism and i can't remember if i complimented you but your creations were definitely interesting... hopefully, you'll continue to be inspired with future ray/charm/tvb productions to astound us all. i'm crossing my fingers for another charray series as well.

According to Fung's Label, Ray will have love triangle with Charmaine and Myolie in Fung Wan Shui Yuet. However, this arrangement may change as they need to revise the script.

It seems like everyone's computer is acting up these days .... I couldn't go on here for days and been going fanatically crazy!!
First of all, I think everyone is jumping up for joy at SehSeh's news about the 60 eps Fung Wan Shui Yeut and the possible CharRay pairing (or CharRayolie triangle) ...... I really really hope TVB doesn't screw us over this time! I don't know what I would do if this news turn out to be a hoax!! But now, I am so happy and looking forward to more updates!!

I can't believe it! TVB actually letting them be together instead of disappointing us like how this maniacal company is prone to doing and also giving us news that Charray would be together! Not so fond of Rayolie but since Ron has been rumoured to be in this show, Ronolie could be obvious. This is soooo delightful...

How do I celebrate? Oh gawd!

It's such a darned pity that my computer is in such a condition if not I would have squealed this news to everyone through my blog!

Anyways, I have been away. AWAY from the accompaniment of such merry fellows such as yourself. How it inflicts my insanity! I almost felt sane. Anyways, I'm in the midst of my trials right now and the horrible and hideously terrorizing subject I am to be tested on tomorrow is Mathematics. My brain cannot, I SAY, CANNOT deal with numbers. What's more, I'm ploughing pleasantly through "The Pickwick Papers" by Charles Dickens so I am talking like him now. Should be rather rewarding since I was in full fledge Dickens fever when I sat for my English exam. Hold on to your hair, my cranky teacher!

Ooops. Off the track xD. Alright, my computer conditions and how I am to deal with it.

1) I just reformatted the blardy machinery and discovered that my stuff, that I expected to still be snuggling within the depths of these cogs, are gone. I don't know for sure but it's really devastating. Thank god I burned out all my LWOLAP episodes! But my YY and DOP episodes sunk with this flood of tragedy...*extracts pink handkerchief from non-existent pocket*

2) My keyboard reminds me of styrofoam. It barely makes a noise as I tap it as hard as I can. I like keyboards with clack and this new one is so noiseless and soft and unappealing. Perhaps I'll get used to it soon enough.

3) I don't know when I can resume my daily works of posting regular CO and news in my blog. For all I know, I have my trials to study for and am determined to achieve at least 5A's for it. On the 2nd of October comes my biggest examination yet. Perhaps I can post this EXCITABLE *squeals* news during the weekends, while I'm multitasking (doing History and Geography at the same time xD).

4) I am not sure how this is included into my computer problems but still you guys better be glad that I will be away at this chosen time because I have yet long to go to the last page of "The Pickwick Papers" and will continue to talk in Dickens style for awhile. See how I laboured and lengthened what would usually be a midget? And thank god if any of you actually understood me and didn't moan to the heavens in enquiry of what happened to the spam police. I freak myself out with the way I talk. *freaks out*

*thinks about Charray in the middle of hysterics and lets out a soft squeal while smiling insanely*

NEwayz, recently I think my obsession has grew to the point of no return .... the story is that I was watching Bar Bender earlier and actually find myself enjoying the series (even though no CharRay) .... Then upon seeing a particular scene, I suddenly popped up from my comfy couch and felt such a rush.... I SPOTTED CHARRAY!!!! I kid you not.... I was seriously watching Bar Bender starring Adam Cheng, Louisa So, Sammul Chan, ect. when I saw CharRay!! No, it wasn't my imagination running wild.... No, those who watched BB didn't remembered it wrong, CharRay didn't have cameos in BB .... and NO, I definitely didn't take anything suspicious ....

Before it wears off, I will grant you your random and utterly momentary wish .

I was sipping some capital latte from Starbucks today, one of a kind. The feeling of satisfaction as the warm liquid slowly cuddles my inner self reminded me of how I usually feel watching Charray. With that on my mind, I had some scrummy Andes Mint Chocolate, one of the best of the best. The fresh and enlightening taste of mint mixed with sweet sweet milked and sugared cocoa spreading over the width of my tongue and filling up my senses made me hunger for more. And to think that it is exactly the feeling that would intensify in my guts whenever an episode ends with a cliffhanging Charray scene. Pleasant addiction. Food is really something that can make someone feel like the daisy ruling over all the lands. Nothing could have compared to the serene feeling, except that of Charray. Maybe it is for me.

Not everyone appreciates the slightly bitter sweet taste of latte and the eccentric flavour of mint, but for me, the mint to be exact, are the best elements in the world. These words can be used to describe Charray as well. Their age gap gives off a first impression that they are not suitable, but once you delve right in, you're at the 'point of no return' (awesome symbolism by Pearl ).

Aight, I tried to be as writer-ish as possible with all the flowery stuff. I owe you nothing Pearl! NOTHING! Mwahahahahaha...

I have yet to find and in fact, plan, a time to watch your 5th and 6th MV. These are unfortunately, after trial business. I will be sure to give you comments! I miss typing novels in this box. The title "It's All A Lie" is very attractive though! As for what you would be able to indulge in after your series of MVs, how about a fanfic? Or if not, perhaps you could think up a special article thing you could post up every few moments relating to Charray? Like maybe, captions for pictures. To enlarge the prospect, it could include pictures of other characters as well. Just a suggestion.

Regarding Bar Benders, is that a picture? My blardy computer won't let me view it.

Also, where is mah Helen and all! I miss talking to you people. Since I don't have much time to revive my computing career just yet, I'm going to head over to a game called Zuma. Tests my hand eye coordination and ensures that my risk of becoming colour blind is plungingly reduced.
