i really like their song from the new album "Fan"...the tune was really catchy which makes my head bobb to the music!!! it sounded really cool in the preview and of course the final release was just great! tablo did a fantastic job rapping the parts too!

Hello Kimii welcome to the Epik High Thread ^^. Tablo is a dork, but for a guy who fools around a lot... he's one smart guy ^^

i didnt listen to epik high until recently but i really like their songs. i mean it really has meaning to it, especially since they composed/wrote it themselves.
i love how they are so different from the other groups. One cause their music is different but also because they are really carefree like you just like being with them.

i saw them at Hollywood Bowl and near the end when everyone was standing in a line singing, they were in the back doing their own thing and just having fun

i have deep appreciation for such talented artists!!!

Epik high... probably one of the greatest korean artists out there. i love their music and appreciate their talent immensly. i really admire the fact that they really struggled to get where they are now and weren't manufactured by some music company.

First, I've heard that he's landed a role in the sitcom "Highkick" or "Unstoppable High Kick".

I've also heard that Tablo will be relasing his own album at the end of fall. I'm really excited about this, definitely something to look forward to. ^___^

Oh, and like tinaakababyt had said earlier, "Music is My Life" is a must-listen song, and can be found on youtube, veoh, or crunchyroll. It's really good. I can't get enough of it. x)

even when i'm not very into the hiphop music, i really like epik high! first i saw tablo in xman, so i made some research and i found that he was part of a band and i listen some of their songs on the web. Is very difficult to find korean music here in chile (i'm chilean!) so i download his first cd and some other songs... i promess to buy their cd as soon as i can!!

Top K-pop and hip-hop stars will gather for the ``Summer Big 4 Concerts,'' on July 21 and 22. Promising to be one of the biggest musical events this summer, ``Summer Big 4 Concerts'' will be held at the Olympic Gymnasium, Olympic Park.

On July 21, the Exciting Star concert will feature performances by four of the most exciting hip-hop performers namely, Drunken Tiger, T Yoon Mi-rae, Dynamic Duo and Epik High.

Drunken Tiger, also known as Tiger JK, is one of the leading members of the Korean hip-hop scene. T, who released her solo album earlier this year, is considered a brilliant female rapper and R&B artist.

Dynamic Duo has just released their new album ``Enlightened.'' Epik High is one of the popular groups in Korea, with recent hits like ``Fan'' and ``Love Love Love.''

The Fantastic Star concert features SG Wannabe, Seeya, Yangpa and new group FT Island on July 22. These four artists are known for their powerful ballads and forceful voices.

SG Wannabe is one of the most popular vocal groups today, winning over fans with their romantic songs. Seeya may be considered as the female version of SG Wannabe, but this all-girl trio also impressed many with their vocal talents.

Yangpa is back in the music scene, releasing an album ``The Windows of My Soul'' after a six-year absence. FT Island, whose name stands for Five Treasure Island, is one of the rising K-pop groups today. FT Island released their first album ``Cheerful Sensibility'' last month, and has been steadily attracting fans.

The two concerts are perhaps the most exciting event so far this summer. Special guests are also expected to appear during both.

K-pop Coming To A Poolside Near You - 2007.06.28

In this hot weather, regular concert-goers would probably rather stay home, unless they could enjoy live music while splashing about in a swimming pool. Maybe this is how a clever concert agent came up with an idea of poolside concerts for the first time after air-conditioners became a household reality.

Although this kind of concert has usually been given as part of luxury hotels' promotional events to draw attention to swimming facilities, there are more concert-oriented and affordable options that are provide k-pop fans with special memories.

Epik High, a three-member hip-hop group whose latest, fifth album, "Remapping the Human Soul" topped local music sales charts earlier this year, will present their solo concert entitled "2007 Hot Summer, Cool Party" at Sheraton Grande Walkerhill's River Park outdoor pool, from 7 p.m. on July 15.

The trio, led by rapper Tablo -- who attained both of his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Stanford University, California -- is well-known for his lyrics because they are highly critical of current events and society. Many of the songs on their previous albums were banned from television and radio, although the latest album focuses more on emotions and mindsets, rather than sensitive political and social issues.

Naturally, the concert is not for children or adolescents under 18. Although details have not been unveiled, the three -- Mithra Jin, DJ Tukutz and Tablo -- are preparing events to turn singles into two when they leave the swimming pool.

Tickets for the concert are 60,000 won for the concert only. Package tickets including the use of the pool from 10 a.m. are 80,000 won. For more information, call (02) 542-5903.

If you think hip-hop is too noisy and has a negative message, go to the same pool this weekend. This Friday and Saturday, Yeohaeng Sketch and Dongmulwon, two popular folk groups from the '90s, will play separate concerts each day. Each concert combines unlimited poolside BBQ Buffet and plenty of beer.

Although this event does not include swimming (one has to purchase a separate ticket to swim), you will be able to enjoy easy and soothing 90's pop music, sitting on the pool side as the sunlight starts to dim.

Debuted back in 1987 with their first album, "Georieseo (On the Street)," folk group Dongmulwon, or "zoo," has maintained a steady following with many hit, such as "Byeonhaegane (It's all changing)" and "Neol Saranghagesseo (I will fall in love with you)."

Yeohaeng Sketch (travel sketch), on the other hand, has been well-received by people of different generations since their debut in 1989, with such hit song as "Yet Chinguege (to my old friend)" and "Beori Jindane (Stars are setting)."

The party/concert starts from 6:30 p.m. Entry will be 60,000 won for adults and 40,000 won for children (including tax and service charge). For more information, call (02) 450-6457. All the above events can be postponed in case of intolerable weather conditions.

I love Epik High!!!! I really like their style...it is truley unique.....and so are their music vids!!!! I thought the way they made Love Love Love music vid was really cool. Tablo does speak english pretty well. I saw him in this SBs show and it was sad when he talked about the hardships they had to go through in order to become what they are now.
