i love this serie
but i dont like the end and the plot can better

20 episoeds??? why god??? why???? okay i like SSH but 20 episodes???? This is getting so boring...

son ye jin is very pretty in this series..well she's always pretty though..hahah..i like this season of endless love...there's much [assion and confusion at the same time...the villains are very strong unlike in the past seasons..

I didn't like this drama at all... it was soooooo slow and draggy.... I kept falling alsleep day after day trying to finish it.....

i just wanna say i love Summer Scent..well I love the 2 main characters also - SSH and SYJ...

although some say it is not at par with Winter Sonata or Autumn in My Heart..i believe it has it's own plus....i think no other scenery beats this one (even the Green forest series i saw on TV last night)...and it does have its own highlights -

the Proposal Room where SSH tied SYJ hair )not many does that to show how much they care)...

the soccer field scenes (when they spent time together there as if it was their haven) - how SYJ danced on top of SSH's feet..the time when SYJ was looking for the necklace..the time when SSH stopped SYJ from removing the necklace from her neck, the time when they were talking and SSH asked SYJ not to turn around what ever he says and when SYJ turned, he said 'I love You' but only to himself (i screamed at this scene !!..so frustrated!!) ..

the time when they were stranded on the island and how SSH went to resuce SYJ and how he made sure she has somewhere to sleep, plus the scene where SSH woke up and SYJ was there behind him in a pew at the church...the kiss scene is also great !! kilig !!

the time when SYJ discovered SSH's ex as the heart donor...

the scene where SYJ blew a speck of dust out of SSH's eye...

the time when she was almost gonna be married but ran at the street after the car where SSH was in...

and the last scene where they met after a long long time and they stared at each other as if there's no one in the world except the two of them ..

and a lot more !! you have to watch it to appreciate it's own story...

wow !! talk about reminiscing !!! this series has one of the best dialogues and songs i have ever heard in a TV series ! will post some next time as i am sleepy now...bye !!

I didn't fall asleep at all while watching this drama......it was slow and draggy at times, but I really didn't care about that...this drama has the most beautiful sceneries and the OST is one of the BEST.....totally in love with that......I think in my opinion, this drama is actually very good, it's not the BEST, but it's a good drama to watch....Son Ye Jin is very pretty and Song Seung Hun is freakin' HOT....very well matched couple in my opinion.

i was still thinking if i should watch this drama, cux for e 1st 2 hits Autumn Tale and winter sonata, i love autumn tale LOADS, though its a draggy one, and the ending was hyper sad, but i love it soo much, even till now, im to tally addicted to the ost esp..
Winter sonata, i didn really like it bcux of bae y.j...! I didn like him but still, i think e storyline was ok ..
Now for summer scent, i've loads of friends recommending it to me , tat this drama is a good one .. v sad n stuffs similar ..
So now im thinking if i should watch it .. cux heard tat SYJ's acting is good and shes a beauty

this is def a good drama to watch. i recommend it because

1. song seung hun is super sexy! (however the shirts he wears are def. questionable)
2. the love story is very sweet and enduring
3. the backstory is real and not just there for show
4. the couple has a very special connection that only deepens as time goes on
5. and once again song seung is very adorable and the ultimate romantic hero in this drama

I watched this because of SSH.

He is such a hottie!!!

I totally thinks its boring & definetely not for someone like me who's into funny hilarious romantic comedy.
This one is emotionally draining cos everything is so slow .... like come on made up you mind already lady!!!!
Its so typical of korean drama too....the terminal disease part so i don't like it.

I thought that this drama was great. I don't know why people don't didn't like it. I for one liked it better than Winter Sonata. The best part of SS was the ending. Oh and there also was the time when SSH ties SYJ's hair for her. How sweet!

Hi guys! I really love this drama...I was already intrigued when it was first shown here in the Phils but I didn't have the time to watch it because of school when it was replayed again right before lunch, I had a bit of time to watch it but not the entire series so when I found a copy of this I bought it and I was already hooked and so was my sister....she'd forget her project just to watch this drama with me. SYJ is really very beautiful but it does get draggy after the middle and I so pity Ryu Jin's character that's ehy.....I love the soundtrack too

I'm a big fan of son ye jin.She's the main reason i watch Summer Scent.hehehe.I agree this drama was dragee but worth watching Son Ye Jin

i thought "summer scent' is better than "winter sonata". i stopped watching "winter sonata" in eposide 1, i didn't like the leading female role, i thought she's old to act as a high school student in the begining..... can't say if i like'summer scent' better than "autumn in my heart" YET, have to finish the whole drama first, since most of u complaint about the ending.
i love the beautiful scenery & the themesong in "summer scent'. i'm on eposide 8 right now, so far so good, can't wait to see the rest. While watching the drama, i have to admit, the pace is so slow. but on the other hand, it's the slow pace that draw the audience's feeling slowly towards the casts, don't u agree? i enjoy every romantic moments that the leading roles have together.

app, I totally agree with u. this was the only drama that i watched out of the four season series. i love all the scenes of SSH and SYJ together. but i have to say something, i really don't like how the drama ended with them just staring at each other. other than disliking the ending, I <3 this drama.

This must be one of the most boring Kr dramas I have ever watched. Kept on falling asleep and was glad when it was over. Couldn't believe that this story is crafted by the same team in Winter Sonata and Autumn Love Story. I am not impressed with SYJ's acting here (still) and SSH looked much better in Autumn.

i have different view on this drama...its not boring...its just that it has to go with the storyline...may not be a fast-paced drama yet still living up the standards of ENDLESSLOVE SEASON SERIES...acting, cinematography and soundtrack were all good..! son ye jin is soooooooooo pretty here..!!!!!

I really love this serie, the sceneries and the ost really draws me into the drama. Also, I think the main leads did a pretty good. Great chemistry as well. Although, at times, the paces are slow but it's a neccesary bc it shows us how they're connected in some way. Overall, I'll give this 8.5/ 10. Loving SSH especially his eyes, so nice!! Long eyelashes too! SYJ is really pretty here.

I haven't watched Summer Scent yet, but I've seen the other three seasonal dramas - Autumn in My Heart, Winter Sonata, and Spring Waltz. But I'm so in love the Summer Scent OST!!!! The music composition of Summer Scent is so much better than the music in the other seasonal dramas! Can't wait to start watching this drama - I love SSH and SYJ!!!!!

whahhaahha... xDD i am watching this right now...episode 3 at crunchyroll... x]] this is really good...i love the plot so far..but then I feel bad for her fiancee.. T___T I don't think that he deserves what he is getting.. T______T but then again...they do make a better couple xDD

sorry to say, but then i dispise this series out of all the ones i have watched!

it was so horrible, so unrealistic. explain to me how the bloody hell are they allowed to go to the hospital, ask who a patient is and get pointed to that direction. um...have you ever heard of "could be assassin??" i dont know but then the hospital that i have been to almost always ask for relations and ID check first...

another thing, i really didn't like that sister of that dude she was supposed to marry. if there is a bigger word higher then IMMATURE. please label her that.

I would recommend this series because ..

This series was made right after 2002 world cup in korea/japan. Korea was enamored with everything dutch ( coach ) at the time and the korea's interest in holland was highest.

This is a beautifully made series.. treats to visual senses, a lots of flowers, dutch style villages, mountain ranges, streams, green-tea fields, tree lined roads, bamboo forest etc.

Also the leading actress Son YeJin was only 20 yrs old, and she made every scene exquiste. I especially like Han JiHye, she was bit more foreward in her persuit of romance.

Story line was unbelievable at times, too many heart transplants. Riddles of: is it the heart or mind? was solved at the end, and a happy ending as well.. soothing summer showers.

Only complaint, story moves very very slowly.. but then that was part of the show, slow lazy summer time, nothing is rushed. ( exception of when Son YeJin ran after a car wearing wedding dress, and collapses on a street asphalt ).

seen this some yrs ago, but still remember it.

i don't like this drama no matter how i like SSH and SYJ,i couldn't force myself to like this.

Every korean TV dramas should stand on it own merit.
And every drama is unique, original, and one of a kind, just like every person on this planet lives a unique life of their own.

If you say a person is born and will eventually die, and in between there is chilhood, young adulthood, and a person tends to fall in love with others, sometime simultaneously with more than one and there are defining moments in life with iconic symbols.. these are the skeletons/ frames that builds what is "life" but the details of how everyone lives on their own definition of "life" is unique and original.. similary K-dramas are made to be original -- besides the " skeletons/frames " it portrays in life.

Finally finished watching this series after downloading it long ago.

The only reason i finished it was because of SYJ. Yes this drags unbelievably long.

The ending really is a let down. After the whole series dragged, the ending happened in a flash. ?? I was expecting a little more, maybe 10 mins more to the ending to show a bit more.

Now that I look back, it was almost a waste of time watching this.

I just watched this series a few days ago and I love it! I will watch it again and again because I love the OST, characters, scenery, and general happy overtone to it. I will admit that at the end the drama got really sad and it made me sad, and the end was shorter than what I wanted but I'm still happy with it. I wish more people loved it too

It is so boring and slow pace that it puts me to sleep. I don't care for the plot or SSH's sleeveless shirts. I give it a 6 out of 10.
