Moses Chan, Halina Tam and Bowie Lam were filming on location just outside TVB City for new series "Healing Hands III" yesterday. The scene tells of Halina and Bowie being interviewed at the TV station, but they have an argument and leave with bad feelings. Moses waits outside in his expensive sports car and Bowie realises that Halina is Moses's girlfriend. When Moses sees Halina leaving, he immediately gives her a kiss on the cheek. Even though it was filmed by camera angle positioning, Moses was still rather nervous and NG'ed many times, making the director instruct him to be more intimate as he laughed "You look like you are talking to Halina, not kissing her!". A rather embarrassed Moses showed a red face and showed that even the new generation of 'housewife killer' is a shy guy!

Halina plays Moses's girlfriend in the show, but as she is too ruthless in getting what she wants, they finally split up. Yesterday was Halina's first day of filming for the show and as well as the hot weather, she also had to wear a pair of three inch mini heels and she says that as she has rather big feet, she was worried that she would lose her balance and fall over.

Halina laughs: "In real life I am not a ruthless person at all, so it is quite a difficult role for me to play." As Halina plays a columnist in the show, her character often has to appear at high class balls and so she has been following the rich and famous pages in the papers. She says that wearing strappy dresses is not a problem, but she is most afraid of wearing heels so she is starting to get used to it now.

Also, as Moses has a seven or eight year old son in the show, Halina has many scenes with the young actor and she admits that she is a little worried about working with the child actor as she has had little experience with children and the kids of today are rather smart, so she is afraid that she cannot control him. She laughs: "I would rather work with animals because I am very afraid of children crying because when that happens I will give them whatever they want."

Halina Tam and Nancy Wu were among the "September Birthday Stars" at TVB yesterday and wearing a little top, Halina displayed a large bruise on her arm for which she later pointed the blame towards Ander Jen. Halina said: "A few days ago, when I saw Ander, he pinched me quite hard a few times and gave me some bruises. When my family saw it they were quite pained for me, so when he called my home to speak to me, my mother scolded him for it." Also, Halina will be working on her birthday, which is 6th September and her birthday wish is for good health.

Halina Tam was reshooting a suicide scene for "Healing Hands III" yesterday. The original scene was shot on her birthday, and everything seemed to have gone smoothly, but later, the director told her something went wrong with the tape and they could not use it. Halina said laughingly, "Maybe it's not a good idea to shoot suicide scenes on your birthday! How else would you explain the tape suddenly had a problem? It's kind of scary."

In the reshot scene, Helina jumped from a building and died on the street. It was not pleasant to watch, as her character had no hair and was covered with blood. The character lost her hair due to sickness, and she killed herself when she lost courage to go on.

Being one of the few TVB actresses who have long and thick hair, Halina had a hard time wearing the bald scalp, as she had to cram all the hair into the scalp. As a result, her head looked a lot bigger. Halina said she felt like an alien, and it was quite hilarious.

Halina Tam, Lawrence Ng and Gigi Lai were filming in North Point for new series "Healing Hands III" in a scene that tells of a bald Halina suffering from brain cancer, unable to cope with the stresses of her condition and the rejection of her love by Lawrence, she ends it by committing suicide. Lawrence, who plays a doctor and Gigi, a coroner arrives at the scene, but Halina's character has already died.

In order to make the scene more realistic, TVB arranged for ambulances, police cars and several tens of extras playing emergency workers and the local residents thought that the scene was real, with real police officers coming to check on the situation. At the scene, Halina was just lying on a stretcher and it seemed like her part was very easy, but wearing a skull cap and with a heavy blanket over her, she was actually extremely hot.

With this, her first 'bald' look, Halina says she looks like an alien, but it was okay. When asked if she had thought about shaving her head for real, she laughs: "I am very superstitious and I had a haircut before taking part in Miss Chinese International and my luck just left, so since then, I have kept long hair and I will never cut it short again or shave it all off." Also, after receiving her $1 lucky packet for playing a dead person, Halina was asked if she would commit suicide for love in real life, she shakes her head and says: "Definitely not, the worst that can happen is that I can find another man. I am very cowardly, so I would never do what my character did and jump off a building to end my life."

Halina Tam was invited to a promotion for a beauty gadget yesterday and she says that she is not a spokesperson for the product, but she has used it before and finds it very useful and so she is taking part to share her experience. The event organisers arranged for her to wear a short backless dress and she certainly stole the show.

Halina says: "I used to have problems with constipation and this made my skin very poor. Since using this product, it has cured the problem with my bowels and even my panda eyes have gone away. I dare to go out without make up on now." With such support for the sponsors, Halina admits that she would like to become the product spokesperson. She has been busy filming lately so she has lost some weight and she laughs that she will have to start taking breast enhancement pills soon as she is currently negotiating an advertising contract for a slimming and breast enhancement product.

Despite the cold weather continuing yesterday, many artistes still turned out for a dog-lovers walking event including Charlene Choi, Niki Chow, Jessica Hsuan, Jackie Lui, Sheila Chan, Stephen Fung, Halina Tam, Paul Wong and Marco Ngai, however the participant's patience was tested due the long winded opening ceremony. Charlene won some awards at the ceremony the previous night and had planned to celebrate with her colleagues, but as she was followed by the press, she decided to head home early instead. However, she was not feeling too well because of the cold weather and was overexcited by winning the award, so she could not sleep. Charlene was with her beloved dog 'Chocolate' at yesterday's event and as the dog was as cute as a toy and wearing a hooded doggie coat and standing still, it was accused of being a toy dog. Charlene laughed: "The weather has been so cold, so it has been fighting over the heater with my housemate."

As for Jessica, she was at the event with her pet 'Lulu', who was meeting the press for the first time. Jessica says that since she adopted the dog from TVB, it has put on some weight so she has had to control its diet. Niki's dog 'Yoko' is already seven years old, but this is the first time it has taken part in this walk and Niki says that she did not want to trouble the elderly dog, so she will be carrrying it on the walk.

Halina's poodle was frightened by so many people and was a little shaky and it was spotted wearing a jade pendant. Halina explains that this was bought by her mother because she treats the two dogs like her own daughters, so whatever she buys then they will also have a share. Marco says that his dog is very dumb and only knows how to eat and sleep, but it is just like its owner. Paul's dog 'Grape' is very cute and the funniest thing is that it sleeps with its owner every night. Luckily Paul's girlfriend Athena Chu loves the dog too, so ther is no jealousy!

Halina Tam was a guest star in "Virtues of Harmony", where she plays the daughter of a rich South American General, who helps out the befallen Steven Ma and falls in love with him, returning to Hong Kong to marry him, but then finding that Steven has rekindled his romance with old flame Linda Chung. Yesterday morning, Halina was filming a scene where she is trying on her weding dress, but the Kam family women - Nancy Sit, Bondy Chiu, Kingdom Yuen and Joyce Chen are all trying to help Linda and Steven get back together and so they arrive at the wedding salon to sabotage Halina's day, even cutting up her dress.

Halina was wearing a low cut wedding gown and as the dress was very heavy and she has lost a lot of weight recently, she did not quite have enough 'flesh' to hold the dress up and kept thinking that it was going slip down her body, making her more worried than happy. She says: "I have worn a wedding dress to film so many times now, but have never worn a Chinese red wedding dres, so if I get married in the future, then I may choose to wear a Chinese dress instead. (When will you be getting married then?) Maybe next year! If there is a lightning romance, then I will get married straight away. I will definitely let everyone know and not be secretive."

The ever charitable Halina Tam has been invited to a charity musical event alongside Dexter Young and in line with their performance, they have to rehearse ballroom dancing together for the first time. As they are both beginners, they seemed rather clumsy to start with, but with careful instruction from their teacher, they did improve. A little embarrassed, Halina says: "When I was at school, I did Chinese dance, but I have not had any practice for over ten years now, so my limbs have stiffened up!"

As well as having to dance, Halina will also be wearing a low V and backless dress to show off her singing voice: "I think that I am too bony, so I am hoping to pad out my bottom and chest area to make myself more s-shaped and perfect. (Will you be taking breast enhancement pills?) I don't know yet, I will ask some friends about it first."

Dexter is very happy with Halina though and laughs that he is attracted to bony women: "I have to be careful when I select my partner because I cannot choose a girl who is too tall." When asked if he has been asking for dancing tips from his mother, Connie Chan (Bo Chu) he says: "I have asked her for advice about speaking my lines and my expression, but my family are not strong dancers. I will work hard at rehearsals though." He indicates that he will be wearing a dinner jacket and the feeling he had when he tried it on was rather special: "The first time I wore a complete siot was for my High School graduation ball. At the time I was rather fat, so I felt like a little odd, but now it feels very different."

Kam Shek Kai is the manager of Michael Tao and Halina Tam and yesterday, he married his girlfriend of many years Yu Fung Chu, holding a 34 table banquet in a hotel in the evening. However, Michael was unable to attend the ceremony because he was busy filming and the couple's matchmaker Kiki Sheung was also absent because of work.

Best man Marco Ngai and chief bridesmaid Fiona Yuen led the group of celebrity "Brothers and Sisters" including Halina Tam, Gilbert Lam and Louis Yuen as they played games with the newlyweds, the funniest and most disgusting of which was a 'poo in a nappy' made from bananas and chocolate sauce that the groom and his 'brothers' were forced to eat when they picked up the bride. As Halina was having so much fun, she almost forgot that he was her manager and when Gilbert and Marco mocked: "Are you not afraid that you won't get paid if you play tricks on your boss?". However, Ah Kai's words: "It is the best day of my life, everyone gets paid!" brought a sigh of relief to Halina.

Halina Tam Siu Wan has decided to train her dog Gigi to give everyone a Lunar New Year greeting. Siu Wan however still relied on clothing. "I have planned to get Gigi a Lunar New Year costume. Its look will kill everyone already, then it will deliver its fatal blow..... haha! It will steal the show!" Siu Wan has already given Gigi a lot of dog biscuits to repay it.

Siu Wan said, "This year I will celebrate the Lunar New Year in Toronto to visit my relatives and to take a break." Siu Wan wishes for a smooth career in the New Year and weight gain successful.

I believe it was in her early entertainment career when she was getting very famous.
I think what I hear, was she quit to focus on her BF who is a famous choreographer but they broke up after 6 yrs? I'm not to sure how long, just count the years she's been absent in the entertainment world.
And then she came back in the early 2000.

I think she looked better back when she had more weight. Ok ok she's not looking bad at the moment but she could use a few lbs, her facial features looks better if she was slightly fatter. Afterall, women do have more bodyfat compared to men genetically.

Halina Burns Wig in Accident

Halina Tam was filming earlier for "Troubled Worlds" when she had an accident during a fire scene, where she had to dive into the burning room to rescue the ancestral plaques. In order to keep the reality, Halina refused a body double as she did the scene herself, but just as she ran into the flames, her hair caught fire and as it burned, she screamed for help and the crew quickly put it out, but a third of the hairpiece had been burned to a crisp.

Little wonder that Halina was very shocked by this and said: "At first, I felt that my hair was a little warm and then I realised it was already burning and nearly reaching my real hair. This really was a brush with death and after filming for so long, this is particularly memorable." Asked if she had burned incense before filming, she said: "Now that you mention it, I didn't do it today. After the accident, I said a few prayers to pray for a smooth shoot."

The first time I saw Halina on-screen was a movie where she acted as the girlfriend of Daniel Wu. That movie also had Francis Ng and Michelle Leis and it was a very funny one.
