Vivian Hsu, very good terms with Vanness Wu

Vivian says she doesn't have a boyfriend now, when
speaking about Vanness, she said, " He is a really
good friend of mine." And such a good friend, there
isn't many. In the interview, Vivian admits to become
such good friends, you have to like each other first,
however , whether they could progress, that's hard to
say.

The most interesting this is, Vivian's conditions for
searching for a boyfriend is that he have to know how
to drive a car, that's because she loves to see the
handsome one of driving the car. And also to be
fillial, with courage, with financial ability &
social, height is best kept at 175cm to 180cm. Vivian
said, " This kind of height, would be just nice for me

F4 JOIN THE BASKETBALL?

The All-Stars basketball team formed by Zhang Luo Jun
has been lying down
on the low for quite some time due to its founder
having injured his ankle
ligament. Now that he has fully recovered, he's eager
to be on the go &
intends to recruit new blood such as new-age idols Jay
Chou, Energy & F4.

The current All-Stars basketball team consists of
members such as Liu Geng
Hong, Hei Ren, Alex...etc. Zhang Luo Jun feels that
its current line-up is
facing the problem of aging & that there's a limit to
the members' stamina.
He feels that there's quite a few good basketballers
among the current
group of new-age idols. He had played with Jay,
Energy, F4, Xiao Zhu before
& he has absolute confidence in their basketball
skills. He hopes that
they'll willingly join in the team, hopefully by this
summer holidays, so
that they can hold a charity game to raise money for
kids in need.

Pepsi's 9 stars gathering in HK on 31st May

Having finished filming the Pepsi ad in Jordan, Aaron Kwok, Sammi Cheng, F4, Jay Chou, Edison Chen & Jolin Cai - the 9 stars of the Pepsi family are going to gather in HongKong on 31st May, for the launch of the ad. Pepsi will be holding a press conference named <9 Stars - Blue Legend Press Conference>.

The ad is currently into the last stage of editing. The ad is being described as the like of <LOTR>, however the greatest similarity between the 2 is neither the roles nor the storyline, but the style in which the ad was filmed. Instead, the similarity lies in that plenty of special effects will be used, so as to complement the various roles, and that the ad will be split into 3 parts and broadcasted, a-la <LOTR>.

Pepsi's china branch expressed: "2004 is a new start for Pepsi, hence for the 1st time ever, all 9 members of the Pepsi family are gathered in the filming of the biggest and complicated ever Pepsi ad. The press conference on 31st May will too be held in a very creative manner, and it'll be during this press conference that the new Pepsi packaging, figurine series, slogan & the ad named <Blue Legend I> will be revealed. Also, there will be a surprise for everyone.

Mananger: F4 take the path of SMAP

Due to the Pepsi SuperStars commercial, F4 have united again. Manager Zhi Xiang Li points out that F4's managment style will be comparable to Japan's SMAP. Each member will have their own area taking their career into different artist spheres. However, when need be, the four will unite and work together. Therefore, reunion and disbanding are no longer appropriate descriptions.

After shooting in Jordan, F4 will appear in HK for the release of the commercial. At the same time, they will have new plans.

Jerry's solo ablum will be released at the end of the month, he is in his last 3 songs. Other than recording, Jerry has been exercising, hoping to regain his prominent muscles back. Workouts' result has been obvious and he is working on much heavier weights now. He says that when he releases his album at the end of the month, he wants to give his fans a surprise!

Ken is going to Beijing today to film CCTV's City of Love. Filming will take place in Beijing, Japan and Yun Nan. Ken, Li Bin Bin and Michelle are prepared for the hardship in Yun Nan. Ken will be in Yun Nan for about 2 months, in which he will be concentrating on filming.

Vanness is still reading scripts and preparing for his new album. Vanness will take the role of producer and make his favoured hip-hop music. This time, his style will be very hip-hop based.

ZZ is filming day and night with Da S in MARS. Compared with MG, Da S says that ZZ's acting skills have improved. They collaborate really well. Manager Zhi says that ZZ wants to make MARS perfect to give the audience a surprise when it is released in the summer holidays.

F4’s Vanness Wu fans queued way before 5566 fans

F4’s Vanness Wu fans have started queuing last Monday in order to catch their idol closer in action tonight at the Singapore Indoor Stadium (SIS). Vanness Wu even met them the day before. And currently, they are the only group of fans queuing at the venue.

Although Singapore Vivacious Vanness Fan club members have already gotten their tickets to the 2004 MTV Asia Awards, however, theirs is the free standing ones. Hence, in order to get closer to their idol, Vanness Wu who would be the host for the event, the girls have started queuing 14 days before. The fan club has a group of 20 odd members, queuing in 4 different shifts. They have been made to queue at the staircase by the Premier Entrance to SIS as well as sleep there. And it was only until yesterday that they were permitted to queue at the open space outside the premier entrance.

One of their member, Jennifer (Anna), 18 years old, have already spent 4 nights at the staircases. She said: “My back hurts from sitting at the staircase to sleep. It’s very tiring. I sleep and wake. Wake and sleep again. And there are lots of mosquitoes around.” She is currently waiting for her “O” levels results and her parents know of her queuing overnight. Despite saying she is crazy to be doing that, however they did not stop her from doing so.

Singapore Vivacious Vanness Fan club had previously spent 11 days queuing for F4’s world tour concert stop in SIS last February. They say their parents are used to them doing this, hence there was no objections.

It was Singapore Vivacious Vanness Fan club’s second anniversary the day before. And they had even bought a cake for celebration as well as in the hopes of meeting their idol. Vanness Wu, who was rehearsing that day at SIS, had heard from the co-workers that the fans had started queuing 14 days for him. Hence, he appeared that afternoon at the Premier Entrance, standing behind the glass door waving to his fan club, bowing as well as clasping his hands together in appreciation, lasting for around 5 minutes. After which, Vanness appeared again in a few hours with 10 odd security guards surrounding him. He walked out to where the fan club was and met them. The fan club’s chairperson, Sheena, 19 years old said excitedly: “He came out and spoke to us, wanting us to be careful. He even told us thank you when he was cutting the anniversary cake. Kept smiling and saying he will see us again at 14th February again. After which, he said: “I’ll take the strawberry”.



Vanness stayed around for only 10 minutes and it was more than enough to keep his fans awake throughout the night. The fan club had also booked 3 maxicabs, 20 odd members in all to welcome their idol in the airport and escort him back to the hotel. Before returning back to SIS to continue queuing, and to celebrate their second anniversary. Who would have guess they got to see their idol in the end.

HOW TO GET TWO FREE ADMISSION TICKETS
1. Collect 31 Pepsi/7 Up rings/bottle lids AND the receipt, fill out
the following form, and correctly answer a question on the form, and
mail them to the following address. Then, you may get two tickets
for the press con. on May 31.

2. Receipts must be the original receipts from all the big
supermarkets and convenient stores dated from May 14 to May 24, 2004.

3. The total number of winners will be 100 per day in a first come,
first serve basis, from May 15 to May 24, 2004. The application date
will be based on the postmark on the application envelope. Pepsi
won't accept any applications in person. If there are more than 100
applications per day, the applications which don't win won't be
accepted for the next day's drawing.

F4 will take the path of SMAP

Because of Pepsi's giant star advertisement, F4 reunited once again. Their broker, Zhi Xiang Li indicated that the operation method for F4 in the future will be according to Japan's SMAP. Each member
can be independent and develop in different fields. But when necessary, the four will work together. F4 will no longer have any so-called "reuniting" and "disbanding."

After the completion of the Pepsi commercial in Amman, F4 will go to Hong Kong to attend the premiere of the new advertisement at the end of May. At the same time, the four also have new plans.

Jerry Yan's debut album is rushing to release at the end of next month. There are currently only 3 songs left to record. Besides recording, Jerry has taken advantage of his free time to exercise hoping that his originally faint muscles would become even more

Foreign Student: Vanness

Did you know that Vanness actually went to chinese school? He left Taiwan after finishing kindergarten and studied the US and Taiwan for the first few years before finally steadying down to study in America after Year 3-4.

Studying overseas is so much more relaxing. Vanness' results has always been above mediocre. He would try his best in all exams so if he didn't do well, there's nothing to regret about.

Vanness: "I remember in high school, there was a marine biology class, the teacher kepted a tank of salt water fish. You can just use normal tap water for it, so when I went fishing I brought back a large bag of sea water. The teacher was so pleased he gave me bonus marks. I was so excited that I would always go fishing and once i caught a small shark and the teacher gave me extra 50 points, so I passed that class in flying colours!"

Such encouraging tactics are often seen in school in the west. Wonder if Vanness got extra marks from Miss Kim for singing fluently in Korean in <<Star Runner>>?

Brief summary:
Vanness and his friends always hang out, going to the movies, etc. because he's been 'idle'. He was at some movie premiere and was spotted by reporters. Afterwards he went to Neo19's Chilis restaurant with his friends for an hour. Then they went to play games. While playing games Vanness took off his hat because it might effect the game if the cap is too low and covering his eyes. His broker said that besides preparing for his album, attending the pepsi event on May 31st and shooting for the S&K ad, there are 3 to 4 movie/drama script waiting to be read, not really "idle" as others say.

Vanness Wu runs to Pao Wang Jia(Internet gaming)
Watches Free Movie, Playing Basketball

F4 is a super idol group in Asia, however, not so in
Taiwan! Member, Vanness Wu, recently ate full, messing
around with his brothers everyday, going for free
movies, playing basketball, Bao Wang Jie and even went
"catching dragons" together. Not only no one cares, he
goes crazy in between.

During the 19th of this month(May), Stanly and Jeff
Huang attended the premier of "De Luo Yi:Ben Ma Shu
Cheng" together, the whole lot of them first went to
next door's Du Shi Mu Lin's amusement park and played
throwing basketballs, reporter realised that Vanness
was among them. He purposely pulled his cap lower,
afraid of being seen. He later followed beside
Stanley, and went in together to the premier.

Messing Around with Stanley Huang

When the movie ended, Vanness , with Stanley, went to
Neo 19 Da Lou's Chills resturant to have their meals.
Talking about Vanness fa huang, he actually took a
whole one hour to have his meal, as though having so
much time and than later , together with another
group, went to "Zhan Lue Gao Shou" internet cafe.

Vanness & Stanley settled down , ordered a drink and
started their game. They started to kill on the
internet, there was win and lose in the game but he
played seriously, laughing, sighing, and cheering all
around. When he played so highly, he even took off his
cap and threw it aside, afraid that the cap which was
too low would block his view, affecting gaming
results.

After an hour, the both of them said goodbye to their
friends. Stanley and Vanness took a cab and came to
Nan Jing Dong road's Relax guys MAssage Parlour.
Brothers sure spend alot in their night leisure,
allowing the reporter to really see. The most
interesting thing is that, on the 20th, Vanness went
to Hua Na Wei Xiu amusement park to played with
throwing basketballs again.

Busy with new Album

Vanness & Stanley who belong to different record
companies, was actually neighbours in US. In the past,
Stanley Huang and Jeff Huang for popular from LA Boyz,
in mids, Vanness came to Taiwan and depended on them ,
close on good terms. Vanness's manager, Zhi Xiang Li
said, Vanness was busy recently, other than with his
solo album, also with the pepsi event that he was
going to attend during the end of the month, and also
to flim the new SNK apparell advert. He still had 3 to
4 scripts waiting for him, and he's really a "Wen Wen
Mei Nan Zi" as said outside.

Vanness Wu, who usually isn't the focus of F4, especially tried hard yesterday to be the focus. In the helicopter field, the general assembly arranged a shou la heng gan as an opening ceremony device. Once Vanness saw it he got in front of it and opened his two pairs of hands. Later staff workers reminded him and then he knew the general assembly arranged for all 9 stars to stand infront of it and all push to show the helicopter. He then withdrew his hands at once, abdicating for the other stars.

Machi stands uniquely on it's own as the first independent Hip Hop unit in Taiwan. The Machi philosophy is the embodiment of brotherhood, dedicated to the education and proliferation of Hip Hop and sophisticated urban street culture through music, art and dance.

Over 10 years ago, Jeffrey Huang had a vision to introduce Hip Hop music to Asia. Jeffrey grew up in Los Angeles, and he brought along with him the hip hop culture of dancing, rapping, DJing and graffiti to Asia through his crew LA Boyz in 1991. Jeffrey started LA Boyz along side with his brother Stanley Huang and his cousin Steve Lin. The LA Boyz are the pioneers of hip hop culture in greater China, soon inspired and spear headed a prevailing trend, which eventually became a culture and a way of life in many parts of Asia.

A few years ago, Jeff decided to start Machi with the aims of creating original hip hop music with the intentions of educating and proliferating the spirit of Hip Hop through music, art and dance. With the establishment of Machi, Jeff hopes to expand the artistic creativity in Asia. Jeff feels that Asia has an immense potential as a source of talent for the realm of Hip-Hop

Didn't see Ah Mei perform, Jeffrey Huang: A shame for China fans


Yesterday Machi's Jeff Huang Li Cheng, Kenny and Nick were on a new entertainment program "Machi Xing Ren Bang." Popular idol Vanness Wu, who has been friends with Jeff for more than 10 years, and Renee Chen each especially prepared a difficult rap for spectators.

When the 13 day recording started, everyone was really concerned about A Mei and F4 getting labeled by China's authorities. Vanness Wu expressed that he doesn't understand very well. But as a celebrity his biggest wish is to make spectators happy. Therefore he doesn't understand the practice by China's authorities. For his friend, Jeff said that A Mei wasn't allowed to perform in China. It's such a pity. It's ashame that China fans cannot hear such a great singer like A Mei. It's like not hearing a lot of this special music. China should loosen up.

Besides being concerned about A Mei, Vanness Wu and others developing in China, the 13 day recording of "Machi Xing Ren Bang" program was very high. Regarding A Bao joining as a host, everyone was very respectful and gave blessings. Jeff said that A Bao can sing and dance and also has a good eloquence so is a good choice for a host. A Bao was really happy after hearing this and didn't forget to modestly say, "I came because Jeff isn't too fluent with Mandarin and can't read that well so I'm here to help read things."

Cai Zhi Ping wants to Make the Ancient F4

Meteor Garden and Mars were both edited from a Japanease Manga. Cai Zhi Ping did say that she was thinking of a ancient show by super idols. However, she laughed and said, " F4 can never flim war stories, or legendnary people, that's because everyone would laugh till they die when they walk, thus in the new show, they can only act as Mo Dan or Mongolia people."

Vanness getting closer to Machi

Still remember Vanness' appearance at the MAA 2004? That time, Vanness, a member of F4 rocks the audience with his stunning performance with Machi.

The unforgettable stunt seems like firming the power of hip-hop through out Asia. Reported, Vanness will perform again with this most influenced hip-hop group. They will hold a spectacular performance in MTV Buzz Asia concert. Is hip-hop that influencing?

Almost a decade ago, hip-hop music was brought by Jeffrey Huang till now it hits Asia. Jeffrey alone, like Vanness was born and raised in the US and brought the hip hop culture with his group LA Boyz.

Now, Jeffrey will continue the Asian music revolution with his recent group Machi which was made a few years ago. Don't be surprised then if the Machi-Vanness colaboration will be continued in the future. Or will Vanness be interested to join? Nooo!!!

A-MEI is apparently not the only Taiwanese singer who has incurred the wrath of students demonstrators and netizens in China.

Rock band Mayday is also said to have been boycotted for endorsing a brand of beer, Taiwan Beer.

But that didn't stop thousands of Chinese fans from turning up at the band's concert in Shanghai last week.

Both A-mei and Mayday are reportedly included in a blacklist of pro-independence 'lu se yi ren' (literally, 'green-coloured artistes', with green signifying Chen Shui-bian's Democratic Progressive Party) that has been circulating online for months.

It is not known who came up with the list, but it first appeared on the popular forum of xinhuanet.com late last month.

Over 20 names are listed, including Jay Chou, F4, Richie Ren, Alec Su, Wu Bai and S.H.E.

When quizzed by Taiwanese reporters, singer-actor Alec said he is not worried that being 'blacklisted' will affect his career development in China.

After all, more fans are defending them than agreeing with the malicious netizens, he added.

The broadcasting authority in China has also clarified that there is 'no such thing as a list of lu se yi ren'.

A check with an industry source in Beijing also revealed that besides A-mei, all other Taiwanese singers such as Jay are staging concerts as planned.
