i think rainie was okay...i think its because she doesn't turn all red and puffy when she cries. its less obvious and so less dramatic and effective.
at first i thought barbie's crying skills in mg were really bad but she's improved soooo much. just that one scene in show's mv was sooo touching.

I wouldn't call Barbie's crying skills in MG as bad...You can tell she cried foreals. When MG first came out, I heard many people commented on her crying skills. I have to agree with you about Show's MV. Barbie was praised for her 'naturalness'...She did a great job in Mars too...So touching.

umm usually if someone can act, they can also cry, that's defined as 'good' acting
rainie in my opinion, can't act to save her life (remember it's MY opinion guys) so obviously this leads her to suck at crying scenes.

i like Rainie's acting but she can't cry. It hurts to see her cry in DBY, it's just not convincing enough for me.

i think Rainie.. although she's so cute but i do agree that she only can act cute.. she can't cry. cute characters fits on her...
i haven't watch It start with a kiss but reading a lot comments that that is cutest drama. Maybe Rainie is second choice.

I think Rainie Can really act but she's the kind that doesnt even cry when she feels like it, it was really really really hard for her to cry, and plus all the NGs and the make-up it's hard to see shes crying at all, but she gives good efforts.
Barbie in MG, I think she could really cry but does it count if i say she can't act? She's not very good of an actress eventhough she's really good at crying. I think even in real life, she's a bit fake.

Really? I watched an episode of Guessx3 where Rainie started crying because of a guest's sad story. It was actually really cute! Therefore, I was surprised at her lack of crying skills in DBY-- I have to say that I thought her acting was the best on the show, but that the show itself was just very over-the-top and exaggerated. It was very much a Japanese manga-- a type of role that Rainie suits very well, I think.

The reason Hebe cant cry is because she naturally cant cry
I saw this show with s.h.e on it where they talked about how Hebe finds it really hard to cry - she's just one of those people who dont cry easily.
Anyways i dont think Hebe is very good at acting, or Rainie either.
Cant think of anyone who can act but cant cry - crying is a part of acting isnt it? so if they cant cry they cant really act .. unless theyre non crying acting is really good ...

Personally, i don't think Angela and Rainie are that good in crying scenes. I mean, they are an good actress, but, not the crying part. Sometimes it makes me feel that they are somehow trying to force their tears out. And it's alittle fake. ): But, i do like both of them personally (:
Praising time ! Those who can act and cry , Ariel Lin and Qiao En. Both of them really impress me with their actings. They can cry anytime anywhere ! And they bring me into the scene. It feels like i'm with them or something like that. It's just i can feel what they are trying to say when they are crying. Hm, i think Ella is not bad too. She can cry easily but i think she have to touch up on the emtion/feelings part. (:

i think Rainie is a very good actress. she can express her emotion really well.
but when it comes to crying, she has the right facial expression, the right tone of voice, and proper delivery of lines, BUT NO TEARS COME OUT! haha. i don't think that makes her a bad actress...maybe she's just not very hydrated, that's why she can't easily produce tears. hahaha

I recently watched DBY and I agree with most of the people who posted here..she can act but when the crying parts come

.... I like her when she acts cute but when it comes down to the dramatic scene she just can't express herself.

the older dramas of rainie are really so that she crys without a tear but now in WWL i think she is much better...she really do her best because the crying scenes in WWL are really touching i think...

So many pick Rainie? Me too. I feel that maybe she didn't put much emotion when she was acting the crying scenes in DBY. I don't know, it was her first time as a female lead and so maybe... lack of experience? Hahaha... I think she does well in WWL...

She improves alot in crying scene of WWL. Gigi Lai and Yoyo Mung cant cry at all. It's really painful to watch ...

Rainie might already improved her acting skills...there are some but not overall yet...and yes, she really has to working on her crying scenes

I think this is an oxymoron. If you can't convincingly portray emotional/crying scenes then you're not a great actress. Certainly not versatile.
