Who do you think is more talented Jay chow or Wong lee hom?
I think it's Wong lee hom because he is a good songwriter but also a good singer.
Jay chow is only a good songwriter, his singings skills are really bad. Nobody hears what he raps. tongue.gif
m3ikei.monsTa
LEEHOM WANG of course!! happy.gif he's goodlooking, got talent, vogue, he's unique and BEST singer! happy.gif WOOT WOOT!! \(^o^)/ i like "shin zhong de re yue" album, "bu yao hai pa" and and and... well ALL the songs i heard of his =p

jay chou not bad for some songs, the slow ones, pretty catchy =D i liked "hui dao guo chu"... but i don't understand his rapping =\ and some songs were repetitive like "nu ren" or something~
Anastasia
bleah.gif I pick Jay Zhou because i reckon his really talented...n his singing is so nice....
jacksmile85
I personally think Lee Hom is the best ! clapping.gif
he has the look...(very good looking ) loool.gif
he can sing so well..all his songs is so nice..esp A Simple song dance.gif
he also write his own lyrics and now, he even make his own mv..he is super duper talented yeah.gif
bushybrow
I would also say Lee Hom!!! =D
He dares to venture into different genres and I noticed that he has many different voices. Like in the beginning it was kind of deep and now it's much higher. Both Jay and Lee Hom can compose and produce their own music as well as play many instruments, however I believe that Lee HOm can sing better. Jay's singing/mumbling sometimes gets to me. And I don't care if this counts as talent or not, but Lee Hom can speak many different languages!!!
novemberbaby
I am a huge fan of both so it's hard for me to choose one.

Hmmm...

JAY - He plays several instruments and also has an interest in antiques. He mumbles, but I can understand him well when he sings, so that's not a bad point. He sticks to one genre and I admire him for that because he persists to stay the same. His lyrical writing is improving.

LEEHOM - He's a well rounded person, not only gifted in music but in his academic studies as well. He's willing to try new things. His directing of MV's is decent, as far as singers / directors goes, and isn't as shy as Jay is.

This hard to pick, maybe because they're on different tracks. Bleh. I'm neutral.
thankyou
How can you guy compare "Look" from both of them if the topic asked as in talent?

as for me... If I'm force to choose between one of them... maybe my vote still goes to Wang Lee Hom... I personally think he can sing better..... about playing musical instrument.. I'm not sure about it... unless they can play together in the same time and same place...
!!!
I say Lee Hom. He was raised in the US; he knows english. He's a great composer and his style/singing are both great. Jay is good but not better than Lee Hom.
habukie
hands down Wang Lee Hom. i was exposed to both at the same time, and though i think both are talented, Lee Hom is better by a mile. Jay really does mumble sometimes, though i don't think it ruins the total effect of the song. and he is talented, playing his songs and writing and all. however, Lee Hom can sing so much better and isn't afraid to venture into newer areas. he may come up with some songs that are too quirky, but then there's a song that's genius.
Hope in Death
I've heard a few songs from both Lee Hom and Jay Chow and while I enjoyed all of them, I think my vote goes to Lee Hom. They both have talent, but I think Lee Hom is a better choice.
zhiai5566
oo that's tough~ i just loveee jaychou's songs..but leehom is so talented too~~ mmm i'll say leehom.. just because jay can't sing live too well
lemonheadz
only listened 2 sum of lee hom's songs....i dunno his voice is kinda weird...i would pick jay
inlovewithu
i love them both so much...they are both so talented...but i would probably pick leehom...because on his latest album "shang-ri-la" he was involved with the lyrics too...as well as composing the song...i think jay was mostly involved with composing rather than lyrics...
poohee
These two are both talented and they each have their unique style in music.

They're uncomparable.
serenityendy
I prefer Wang Lee Hom better.... because he is so handsome, songwriter, and a good singer

some of his song is really good that made me laugh

infatuated.gif Wang Lee Hom...
ettexor
this is a really hard one to choose they are both really good and i like them both... Let me see well i'd have to go for Jay Chou because i like his music more than lee homs....
angel17mc
i would have give Wong Lee Hom the vote. he is very good in singing and write. yet jay is also talented but he still need to improve his singing skills.
babyblue-twinkle
i vote for leehom as well. jay chow's songs are nice but it tends to all have the same tone and beat. i find it rather repetitive and tedious. and i agree with other ppl about jay's mumbling in his singing. perhaps it's a sense of personal style of singing, but i don't really like it. personally, i cannot listen to one entire jay chow cd because i tend to fall asleep by ..say the third song?? leehom's voice is nice and better to my ears =)
0r4ng3
i vote for lee hom too
i like jay chow songs, but till one point, i get bored with his songs
too repetitive n mumblings all the time
maybe it's his speciality, but after a while i have to change it with other songs tongue.gif
so for me definitely LEE HOM yeah yeah.gif
loal
Both of them are very talented, sometime I like Jay and sometimes I like Leehom.
icindyxp
i like both of them... wang leehom's cuter and the music of jay zhou's songs kinda makes you feel depress.. but theyre both talented in their own ways
*lovebug*
Phffttt
obviously
WANG LEE HOM
i sorta like Jay's chou's song btu not
as much as wang lee hom
i particular think that wang lee hom
is soo much hotter thqn Jay chou
btu ofcourse there both talent in
different areas
but for my pick it would be
WANG LEE HOM!!!!
wthru
both Jay and Leehom are talented song writer. though, leehom's more good-looking but his songs are not easy to enjoy all the time, they sound like US hip-hop which dont suit asian listeners taste. Jay's song is not so "tressful" when listening but not so much difference among them. if Jay can make some innovation, he'll be no 1, i think.
mryoghurt
as for me...both of them has up and down....wong lee hom used to be better until he release his new alum shangri la...i think he does not compose well in his latest lbum...where else for jay he already went into movie industry
nan_nan
Picking which one is more talented is a very tough choice. They're both excellent musicians whether it be composing or performing and both decent actors. Though I like Jay's songs better the first time I listen to them, the most played songs on my iTunes list are the ones by Lee Hom. I'd still have to pick Lee Hom because he's not afraid to explore his musical surroundings. One of the most important things to a musician is to always keep learning. Jay is talented but he hasn't grown musically since his first album, you could compare a song from his first album and one from his latest album and you can't differantiate. Lee Hom on the other hand has improved a great deal. No matter what, they'll both be thought of as the Kings of Mandarin music.
glasscandy
hm, DEFINITELY JAY CHOU. Even though i like them both, Jay's songs are just a lot more original and better sounding than Wang Lee Hom's. Of course Wang Lee Hom has a few excellent songs...but the rest of the songs on his albums aren't very good...However, all of Jay's songs are incredible! and his mumbling just makes him more cute...albeit a little bit hard to understand. =p

I think they're both really good singers, but jay is more talented because he's a better songwriter.
~that girl~
I gotta pick.. Lee Hom Wang!
as others have said.. Jay sounds really cool.. but once you've heard one.. it's almost as good as hearing them all.. he doesn't change his singing or music style very much so it gets kind of repetitive.. but I do think his music is quite good
but.. Lee Hom is coonstantly exploring different music genres.. and other ways to expose us to his music such as composing and writing scores for other artists
I foresee great things from both..
*I hope Jay acts in a mandarin movie next time.. I mean it's neat to be able to understand a movie fully cause my mandarin is poor but his canto..
photoxbooth
I definately say Leehom <3

I was initally attracted to the fact that he was raised in the US but as I got to know him (and his music), I realized that there was so much more to him. His voice is awesome, his songwriting incredible and touching.

Although Jay Chou is probably more popular in Asia than Leehom right now, thanks to his movie, I would not say that he is better than Leehom. His songwriting is nice and he can sing at times... However, when Jay tries to rap and be "urban" like Leehom, it just doesn't suit him.

Overall, Leehom wins out. His talent and ability to wow, in English, Mandarin AND Japanese, and in any genre, is incredible <3 LEEHOM
honeycomb1010
I would say Lee Hom definitely
Why?
He has a very nice voice
Cool songs
He has lots of talent
He's very intelligent (I mean, he knows SIX instruments, knows how to speak mandarin, English, Japanese, KOREAN etc, he recieved a perfect 1600 on his SAT!)
He's willing to try new styles
And his personality is much more likable in my opinion.

Jay's ok I suppose. I just don't really like his songs. They get repetitive after a while and Jay's singing voice is really -_____- He can't sing live.
oranje
Both of them having similarity in songwriter n singer
but leehom voice is nicer
jaychou face is look like a bit cocky n his song more like western song r n b
L0ViN'王力宏
i prefer leehom... even though i like jay also... leehom i can understand what hes singing about... im a abc canto speaker so my mandarin is not as good as canto... so its kinda hard for me to understand mand in general... but jay's mumbling... i cant understand at all alot of times so even if the melody and the background music of the song is good it ruins the overall effect of the song for me... and aside from that i think jays songs are relatively repetitive... if u look at alot of his cds... the background instrumental music is really similar... and with the same kinda mumbling.. it makes the music even more similar... leehom has clearer singing and a larger variety in terms of instrumental background music
danny5569
support lee hom (altough my favaroute was FIR)....i think he is a talented singer....can compose song....can sing....and he also a music intrument expert.....he can play well on many instrument....... dance.gif
babiluxx
i like both!! so much! but i personaly like jay chou the best!! i love his songs they are different, lee hom is cute but i dont like some of his songs
luvzz
Wow..what a hard decision! bleah.gif I personally
think both are extremly talented, but...come to really thinking
about it whistle.gif ....maybe I am leaning toward LEEHOM...maybe
because he's more multi-talented. worship.gif
scar32
hmmm can somebody select a few of Lee Hom's best songs so i can listen and compare with Jay Chou's?

I've listened to loads of Jay Chous song and ive never got bored of listening to them over and over again. Although his Live singing is not so great... tongue.gif

still id pick Jay Chou over any singer nowadays laugh.gif
Titz_Tatz
[ yeah.gif B]!!!!!!!JAY CHOU IS DE BEST!!!!!
He is Hot, Full package,irresitable....cant even explain how hot he is.
But thats not all his voice r so good- my fav song of him is simple love and love b4 de century...and many more
JAY compare wit Lee hom!!! U already wat the answer going to be,, rite Of course JAY my Hotttie
yeah.gif
maboroshi
lee hom is much more smarter and talanted smile.gif
Guest
pick Jay Zhou because i reckon his really talented
pit'fulbluez
leehom for his courage to mix and modernize cpop...jay's songs get boring after awhile mostly the same tune and the voice range doesnt vary much (i mean i bought his first cd and now his latest one and i was like so...) leehom's first cd Forever First Day definitely changed with his latest shang-ri la...which many have criticized for being too american hip hop...but if you can get through the first too...he makes the sweetest ballads like forever love and ai chuo..which reflect from actual experience...leehom all the way =]
77mph
lee hom, he's so hot as well as a good singer and songwriter. I do like some of jay chou's songs but overall the way he acts and presents himself really pisses me off.
milk_tea
Leehom for sure!

He's a very talented musician and works very hard in exploring new ideas for music. AND he is very good looking.
sauwarot
I love to hear their song both, but Jay chou songs seem to have magic on me. His songs are more oriental style. He always add some chinese culture in his songs. His songs always talk about family and simple life. I was touched when i heard that he name his album by his mom name and one song in that album he talk about his grand mom.

Lee hom looks great. He can play different type of instrument. his voice is incredible. His song very romantic. Do you know that he wrote the song "Forever love" for wedding gift for his ex-gf whistle.gif His songs is more chinese song in western style.

So they are different in my eyes and i love them both worship.gif
LordKenny
Jay chou's voice is much better than Lee hom's,but looks,Leehom leads
LH4ever
Wow, so hard!! I love both of them...
BUt I've seen so many ppl vote for Leehom because of his good-looking.
But I personally think Jay's pretty cute too.

So, I will choose Jay.

Besides, ppl say Jay mumbles and he sings bad.
His got his own style that not alot of ppl can copy.
As for leehom, my name is LH4ever lol.
So I think his good too...

BUt I still like Jay better^^
Katie3856
I personally think that both of them r really talented.. nice music, great looks... I like them both!!! laugh.gif
Caroline_caz
wow wang lee hom sounds like a good singer by the way u guys tok bout him...hmmm but so far i can't realy make a judgement...i've neva herd any of his songs...lols and i'm goin thru a jay chou phase lolz...
singerchick
I like both. Both are talented in their own ways.

Personality wise: Jay is too "Diao" for me. I mean his quietness is cute, but sometimes his tendency of not doing things becuase he "doesn't want to lose face" kind of turns me off, comes off to me as sort of arrogant and "I'm better than others so therefore I can't do anything that makes me look stupid." He doesn't smile much because he thinks he looks stupid smiling, I mean I guess I kind of understand but it makes him seem kind of high maintnence, like he won't do anything that will kill his "diao" factor. I guess I'm just not into his "I'm so tough and bad boy" image. Leehom is more sunshine boy and outgoing, and has a more open personality. But he has split personalities and it kind of scares me, one second he's extremely serious about his music and the next he's hyper, bubbly ,and laughing. It sometimes seems like two different people when you watch interviews. But in the end i don't know anyone of them personally but from watching them on the media, Leehom seems to be the more easy-going type.

Music Wise: Jay makes "safe" consistent music, there is really no song I can listen to 100x in a row, yet he doesn't make music I can't stand hearing. This is because Jay sticks to usually one style and his songs have this one distinct style and so the songs are similar therefore there is no song that sticks out that I truely love, yet becuase they are so similiar I don't hate any of them either, but sometimes I have trouble telling certian songs apart becuase they are starting to sound similar. Leehom on the other hand experiments a lot with his music, he changes genres regularly between pop, rock, christian, ballad, r/b, hip-hop, etc and so usually with Leehom I'm on extremes. I either LOVE his songs and I can listen to them on repeat forever, or I just don't like the songs. This is becuase LEehom's tends to reinvent himself often so I either like the direction he's going in or I don't. Yet becuase Leehom changes so often his music challenges me ears, he breaks his own mold. Change is good though, becuase if he did ballads in all his albums I'd get bored. So music-wise in the end to me Jay plays it safer and sticks to his mumbling rapping ways, and Leehom well he may be singing his heart out one minute and screaming a rock song the next. So depends on my mood. It's awesome though that they both can play a wide array of instruments: Jay: Piano, Cello, Guitar, Drums Leehom: Piano, Violin, Guitar, Electric Guitar, Drums, Xylophone, accordian, er-hu, and this one other weird named instrument.

Voice wise- Jay doesn't have a sucky voice, but he doesn't have a voice to die for either. It's ordinary yet not William Hung. Jay doesn't have the deep support that LEehom has, Jay can't sing loud live as Leehom can nor can Jay sing high live without thining out. Now I am comparing the two based on live perfs becuase usually in CDs, alot of things are editted. So voice wise I gotta say LEehom has more strength and range and I go with him.

Background: Jay has the sympatheic background, the ugly duckling that grew into a swan. He has the background you sympathize with and go "awwww". Leehom on the other hand has the background your jealous of and you go "wow." BAckground wise the two are completely opposite, Jay wasn't good in school and was rejected from any hopes of college. Leehom on the other hand was a 1600er on his SAts, mvp baseball team, valedictorian, youngest member who made school play, and got accepted into Princeton and Yale - but choose to go to williams. WOW. So basically it depends on the person you are, more of a "awwww" or a "wow". It depends on my mood, when I end up getting bad grades in school I'm more of a "wow" person and I envy Leehom's ability to be so effing hardworking and smart, and when I just finished one of those sad soap operas I'm more of an "awww" person and I relate to Jay's story.

Other: I have to give Jay props for his rapping, although he doesn't spit as fast as some American rappers, for a Chinese singer he's pretty good. But I get annoyed by his "drunk" mumbling, becuase I can't understand his lyrics and I can't read his chinese lyric booklet so I always have to end up looking for translations. Leehom doesn't rap that well compared to Jay, I gotta give him props though for his lyric writing. Jay usually writes 2 songs per album, Leehom especially on his new album wrote or co-wrote the lyrics for all the songs on the album, I find that pretty awesome considering he learned mandarin when he was 18. Oh and their multilingualness adds to their appeal, with Jay with Mandarin and I think cantonese, and Leehom with English, Mandarin, French, Cantonese, and bits of JApanese. So these basic tidbits make them both special smile.gif

Wow that was like an essay, but it's ok two of my fav singers..along with DAvid TAo.

But in the end I gotta go with Leehom.
mustang
Jay Chow's music is appealing to me. I like to listen to his songs because his voice is like one of a kind therefoe when he raps in his music, it's nice
TK38
I would go with LeeHom
1. He writes his music (jay does aswell)
2. He speakers writes many languages (english, mando, hokkien, jap)
3. He has a better voice and he can rap(jay can rap, just not very good cause you cant understand him)
4. He feature other famous singers in his song which make them that extra bit special
5. He is way hotter
6. he seems to be smarter the jay
7. He sings in many language

Jay still isnt bad... but i believe his albums are going down in quality. I loved his 1st and his current album... not a big fan basically. I also like the fact that he write lyrics for other singers/bands.
tookinen
jay owns leehom
i get bored of leehom's song easily although some of them r nice.
n btw leehom's raps sux. too blackie wannabe. whistle.gif whistle.gif
