To the AsianFanatics Community,

As you all may have noticed, AsianFanatics Radio is getting very popular. I remember the first month when it was up, the average number of listeners we had was 5. Then, the second month, it was 11. Now that it is into its third month, the average listeners listening to AsianFanatics Radio is now 31 and the Listeners Peak is 60!

As the lady in charge of the radio, I am very proud of how the radio is shaping up. Honestly, none of us ever thought that it would ever reach this far. Well, atleast not this fast.

At the moment 12PM EST there are 40+ listeners on the radio, I think I scared the other 19 away when I kicked the bot off. =D

This morning it was at 59 and i really wanted it to go past 60 but after i got smiley to DJ it went down to the 40's and 30's = P

yeah, yesterday when i was DJing, it was up to 51 =D

It's weird, I think I scare the listeners away, but besides I probably wont be around to dj.

Just a question...
On the playlist, there is this 16-AudioTrack-16, a bunch of guys thanking ppl... who are they? heard that track for the 2nd time this month... and i still couldn't figure out they were.

I'm guessing the group Tension, since that seemed to pop up alot while they were talking. Sounds like a group from Taiwan.

I'm sorry, i'm quite new to listening to AF radio. It's pretty tight but i'm not understanding something. : b Is a realy radio station or just something made by people in asian fanatics? And do the mods really dj the radio? : b how do you do that?

Well it is a radio station....but we don't have a headquarters or anything.. if that is what you mean. We broadcast it over the internet from our lovely homes and a microphone, including songs.

the mods don't dj the radio. anyone can dj on the radio, as long as you pass the debuting stage.

we use a program called shoutcast to allow people to listen to our station. I'm not that smart in the technical info. but that is pretty basic, so hopefully you understand more now.

is the dj-ing gonna be live?

also the radio website indicates we have 10 djs.. i never seen to hear anybodys voice.

i love da songs in da radio...but 2 bad theres no djs introducing songs or neding because i love da songs but i have no idea who sings it=(

It is really bad that none of the DJs...talk or DJ anymore..but I promise you, that when I get back home from vacation (in 2 days) I will find reliable people to DJ. that sounds great. and it would be even better if there are schduled programs to happen a certain time each day, and if there are even those 5 minute news at the beginning of each hour

or the most basic thing we could have is, a truly "chinese" program. as in, a time period where the djs speak cantonese, and not english. or maybe im mistaken, but I've read somewhere that all the dj-ing is in english.

we have had all of the things you mentioned above. I have spoken in cantonese for an hour on some nights and the results were awesome. I just might do that again. A better schedule will be brought to everyone's attention. So stay tuned.

may I make one suggestion, instead of writing eastern time, put in the GMT time for it, because that way there's no confusion about which eastern time it is.

the radio is pretty kewl with the variety. i'm listening to artists i normally wouldn't go out to get their music.

it took me a while to figure out why winamp wouldn't play, tho. the plugins i used don't work with streaming audio. i had to use the default settings.

About the short story writers thing, what exactly do u do? I'm quite interested

you create a story with different characters. it can be a love story, humor, mystery, anything.. i would recommend the length to be about an hour long. If you are interested send me a private message.

the radio wasnt working for a while because athlon is transferring the radio to the main site i think it will be up again pretty soon

the radios' been disabled for now but may be up and running for the xmas special. check the AF radio section to learn more or there's a thread here about it already.

He's running his own online radio station. you should check it out. www.afradio.com. he's not on much tho, this boy is busy will skool. hope to see you in afradio forums.
