Kim Heung-soo Shows Mature Acting Skills

Kim Heung-soo, who debuted in 1999 in K-1 TV’s "School 2," has mostly played comic roles in sit-coms. But early last year he showed a completely different image and demonstrated mature acting skills by starring in the Wednesday-Thursday series "Beauty beyond Imagination,” where he played Jae-soo, a character who loved his mother most of all in the world. But it was not until Kim starred in “Emperor of the Sea” that he established himself as a reliable and serious actor who can perfectly characterize any role he is given.

By playing a Cheonghae-born character who, like Jang Bo-go, is talented in trade and martial arts, Kim displayed his unique and developed acting skills, generating even higher expectations from the audience.

I've already finished watching Princess Lulu and he's so cute in that series, specially when he cut his hair and wear eye glasses in the end!!! He's super super cute. I'm going to watch Emperor of the Sea.

Hello, everyone. I am a Korean fan of Heungsoo Kim living in Seoul. I happened to come into this forum by searching things about Heungsoo in English. I am glad that there are people who love and enjoy Heungsoo's work. Heungsoo is a young but serious actor and as you have guessed, he always tries his best to be a great actor. He is also a very wise and humble human being. Recently he has just finished his first starring role in a new movie which is called 'Like Father, Like Son' (English title). The Korean title is 'Daddy, Marie and I.' The movie will be shown here next year. It's about a movie of a quasi-family consisting of a mature young son, his free-spirited father who once was a famous musician but who could not raise his son since he was in prison for 15 years, and a young girl Marie who just had a baby boy but don't have a family and place to go. Heungsoo plays the son and the movie develops as those three people get to know one another better and realize that they are one family. Heungsoo will play guitar in this movie. I heard that he practiced the guitar 10 hours a day to make it real.

There is a fan page for him in Korea and the address is cafe.daum.net/khs486 but you have to register to see materials and everything is written in Korean. Kim Heung Soo was the only reason " Princess Lulu" was bearable to watch... I mostly fast forward to his parts... loved the way he dress in the drama... sooo sexy and cute... even cuter with the glasses... hope to see him played the lead in the future.
