Coincidentally, her friend wanted to join the Miss HK competition, thus she followed along. When talking about this piece of her past, Myolie Wu was most grateful towards the professors in her university back then. Because when she joined the competition, it was coincidentally the examination period. As she did not have complete confidence for her Miss HK competition route, thus it was impossible for her to give up on her studies and put all her stakes on the competition. The only way was to convince the professors to agree to an early examination. On Monday (19/10) night, the various Siu Sangs and Fadans attended TVB 42nd Anniversary Lighting Ceremony. It was a pity that most of them turned up in their drama costumes, thus lacking in the sexiness aspect. Myolie admits that there is pressure when she works with Chilam.

Myolie Wu, who's fortunate to sing a duet with Julian Cheung, then took the chance to learn from him, and understood that no matter how technically accurate you are with the notes, it's still not better than inputing emotions into the song. Other than learning that singing with emotions is more important than having the correct pitches, Myolie expressed that this time, it was a test for her singing ability too. "Because this song's melody is leaning more towards passion/agitation, but it evolves from the gentle start to a more climatic surge. The latter doesn't pose any difficult though, because when I was singing in choir last time, I'm already used to shouting. But I'm weak in the gentle part. I need to really practise on singing gently and softly. Bosco Wong’s good friend revealed, “The birthday party this time was organized by Bosco. Myolie will be in Japan filming her new drama on her real birthday (06/11), so the celebration was brought forward.” On 21/10 at 10PM, Myolie’s mood was very good. After she completed the JSG recording, she hurried to turn up for the date. As for the male lead, Bosco Wong was there an hour earlier than his girlfriend to organize everything at the restaurant. At the birthday party that day, other than the artistes, Kevin Cheng, Nancy Wu and Christine Ng, there were also other friends outside of the entertainment industry. All of the guests reached before 10PM, and there were around 20 people. Most of them were dressed in red. As the restaurant’s balcony was very dark, the reporter could only go forward to take photographs. But once the reporter stepped out of the balcony, he/she was immediately spotted by Myolie’s assistant. At that moment, someone shouted loudly, “A reporter!” Bosco Wong and Myolie Wu immediately split away from each other, and even called for a waiter right away to chase the report away. But after chasing the reporter away, there was a good scene coming up. According to the witnesses at the restaurant, they said, “Bosco Wong was sticking close beside Myolie Wu for the entire night. If his hand’s not placed over her shoulders, then he’s hugging her. I saw him continually drinking red wine and champagne. Almost 8 to 10 bottles lah! Myolie Wu was going around drinking with people. Someone wanted to ask Myolie to drink, but Bosco Wong snatched to help her drink on her behalf! In the wee hours, when the whole group was cutting the birthday cake, someone shouted loudly, “Kiss her, kiss her!” After that, I saw Bosco Wong hugging Myolie Wu, and kissed on her cheek. Later, the group still continued to make noise. Both of them even really did a French kiss!”
The group partied till 2.30AM, before leaving one by one. All of them drank till their faces were red. Myolie and her friend first took the nanny car and left. 10 minutes later, Bosco Wong took a taxi back under the care of Myolie Wu’s manager. According to sources, Bosco Wong paid the bill on that night. He spent around 30,000HKD. But, spending a few ten thousands to make your girlfriend happy, it’s worth it lah. Our magazine called up Bosco Wong, but could not get through his cell phone and was directed to his voicemail, thus there was no reply yet. As for Myolie Wu’s manager, Atom, he said, “That day, we pre-celebrated Myolie’s birthday. Bosco’s one of the guests. Kevin, Nancy, Christine and Amigo turned up too. (Why wasn’t Toby invited?) That time, the invitations were for close friends. (Was that place found by Bosco?) We chose it together. (That night, someone saw Myolie and Bosco kissing.) No, that night everyone were playing happily, but didn’t kiss.”

Chilam and Myolie have high praises for each other

Chilam and Myolie went on "Fan Hou Gan" to accept an interview together. In the interview, both of them had high praises for each other. Chilam joked that he filmed lesser shows than Myolie and that he wanted to acknowledge as his senior. The programme even broadcasted pictures of Chilam's and Myolie's other half which are Anita Yuen and Bosco Wong respectively. Myolie explained that Bosco and herself are each are busy with their own things and that they will only be able to see each other when working together. Chilam explained that he prefered to spend more time with his child and play with him to make him happy.

Received so many presents

Today is the actual day of Myolie's birthday but since she is currently in Hokkaido filming "The Morning Blossom of the Rising Fish " with Chilam, Tavia and Michael Tse, she had earlier on celebrated her birthday at KTV with her fans from Mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong etc.

Different fans from different countries each gave her a birthday cake. Since birthday is only once a year and all the yummy food are right in front of her eyes, Myolie couldn't bother much about how fattening the food were even though she is afraid of growing fat.

Time really flies and Myolie is already into her 10th year in this industry. Thinking back about how she was just a young girl who had gotten into this industry without any plans when had taken part in Miss Hong Kong Pagent 1999 and when she had experienced growing fat and then back to being slim again, from filming every single night to becoming a singer now and being able to expand further as a singer, asking oneself if one have much more to learn at the different stages of this career, have failed and tumbled, worked hard and enjoyed before. Thinking back about all these, I felt very emotional and when everyone was singing a brithday song for me, I couldn't help tearing as I was very touched and emotional. That night, I have received many warm blessings presents and it was a very memorable night for me!

Even though I would have to spend my birthday filming this year, I would have to return to Hong Kong in Mid November to not only film for the new series but also busy preparing for promotional events with Chilam for our duet "Break off". But being able to celebrate my birthday with my colleagues despite having a busy schedule is also a blessing. I will definitely continue to work hard and not let all those whole support me down! Taking about her birthday wish, most importantly is to be in good health and that everything will be smooth in her worklife. Also hope that everyone will support her and her new drama "His True Father " that will be airing in November. And of course also hope that everyone will support her 2nd Solo album that will be released at the end of this month (Nov) and taking a step closer to accepting her singer identity!
