Myolie Wu, Joe Ma, Bobo Chan and Annie Man took part in the blessing ceremony for new series "Passion for Black Forest" and for Myolie and Joe, working alongside each other again means that they will settle in very quickly. Having had short hair for a while now, Myolie has been to the salon for extensions in order to create a new image. She says: "I had just returned from Zhongshan on 11th, where I have just finished filming for 'Same Work Same Bowl', then I went to have my extensions the next day, so I could not make it in time to vote."

There were more rumours for Myolie whilst she was in Zhongshan as reports suggest that she insisted on two days rest and was often bad tempered. Myolie says with resignation: "I really don't understand why they have to write things like this. I started work as soon as I got there and if I could have two days off, then they would not have called me up so urgently. It doesn't matter though, these are little things and I am used to it."

Although she could not make it in time for the elections, Myolie was still very concerned about the results and with the 'long haired' Leung Kwok Hung being voted into the LegCo, Myolie hopes that he can truly reflect the views of the people: "I admire him because he says what he feels. (Do you think he is rather extreme?) He could do with calming it, but if he is too soft then it wouldn't be so good. (Does he need a new image before joining the Council?) No, being loud does not mean you are rude and having long hair does not mean anything either, this is just his style."

Myolie Wu and Ron Ng were cutting ribbons for a new beauty salon yesterday. Myolie said she had plans to buy a house, but she couldn't make up her mind as the market price kept going up. She also said she would not buy the house with her boyfriend, because she wanted to focus on her career and they would not get married or live together in the foreseeable future. "This way, even if we break up, we won't worry about who gets the house. But of course, if he wants to buy a house and write my name under "owner", I won't mind at all!" Myolie laughed.

As for Ron, a group of loyal fans had been waiting for him since early morning, and even the female workers in the salon seemed crazy about him. Ron admitted he received a good amount for his first skin care product commercial, but he did not take rewards for the ribbon-cutting. Sammul Chan also became the spokesperson of a cosmetic product recently. Ron said he was not worried about comparison. "We speak for different products. I don't think it's comparable." Ron also said his skin color was the result of his regular sunbathing outside Hong Kong.

i don't really understand what you mean but if you said why Myolie was hugging Edision, then that just from a music video, as they play lover in that MTV, and those pictures were taking from that music video.

I think she's a very flexible actress. She did a good job in Dreams of Colors and Triumph in the Skies. I like her better with shoulder length hair..more so than when short short hair.

Thought her acting's not too bad really.. but so far all the shows i've seen her acting in are typically the damsel in distress, or the childish young girl type.
She can do more to expand her portfolio though..
She's pretty in a young, hippy way - so think she looks better acting in present-day shows than period drama.. hehe.. no offence lah.. but personal opinion!!!

I guess TVB will air "Lost in the Chamber of Love" at least after November, because right now, they plan to air their annivesary series, those series with high budget, and sadly LITCOL is a low budget series, so it can't qualify Well, we all have to wait a few more months.

Bobo Chan, Myolie Wu, Joe Ma, John Tang and Jack Wu were among the cast members from TVB's "Passion for Black Forest" filming a cake-making examination yesterday. Before the shoot started, Bobo, John and Jack were picking at the cakes on the set and Bobo reveals that there are different cakes for them to try in every scene, so since filming started, she has put on a few pounds. She laughs: "When I see myself on the screen now, I am worried that my face will become wider and wider."

When asked if she had read any magazine reports lately, Bobo immediately smiled: "You are finally getting to the point!" hinting about the reporters' questions regarding reports that Bobo's rumoured boyfriend Edison Chan has been on a secret date to Taiwan with Cookies' Stephy Tang. In response to this, Bobo did not seem bothered as she said: "It's not up to me whether to believe it or not. (Are you upset?) Why would I be upset? They are both my good friends and if they are really dating then that is pretty normal, that is IF they are dating because it might not be real. (Do you think they match each other?) Of course they do."

Bobo admits that she is in touch with Edison and when asked if she will be asking him for the truth when she calls him, she smiles: "I will not be so nosy and anyway, he gets asked about these things enough by the press. I know how it feels so I will not ask him again. (If they are really dating, will you congratulate them?) You make it sound like they are getting married! (Would you congratulate them?) Yes, I would."

This year's anniversary awards are under close scrutiny at the moment and Myolie says: "In the last year, I have only had 'Dreams of Colours' aired, so I don't hold out much hope for an award this year but I have four series in hand at the moment, so I hope that they will be aired next year and I can reap some rewards of my hard work."

Myolie also hopes that TVB can add some extra awards, such as best script, best costume and even best scene so that more people can win awards and it can raise morale among the staff. She says: "Take the year I won the 'Most Improved Female Artiste' award, it was a new award and I was the first person to receive it. It was a great encouragement for me and now I still keep the award in my living room beside the televsion so that I can see it whenever I watch TV."

Myolie Wu was filming earlier in a park for "Passion for Black Forest" and she was sitting to one side developing her emotions for the scene, but was disturbed by some fans who praised her acting and told her not to waste the ice cream in her hand, leaving her a little speechless. She says: "I have never filmed under these conditions before and it was rather noisy! I really wanted to kick them away before, but luckily the crew are very nice and distanced them from me so that I could finish filming in peace."

Myolie Wu appeared with a bald look at TVB City yesterday and it turns out she was filming for "Passion for Black Forest". Wearing a bald wig for the first time, Myolie says that she looks like a ghost. As for recent reports that she seems to have fallen out with co-star Joe Ma on the set, Myolie explains: "Joe is really crazy! We have a lot to say to each other really, but never mind because if we do talk a lot, you will say we are having a romance!"

Myolie Wu had a very memorable 25th birthday on the 6th November! She had to film late into the night on the 5th for "Passion for Black Forest", but at 12 midnight, the show's producer Lam Chi Wah called everyone into the studio and the crew wheeled out a 12 lb mango cheesecake made by a famous baker to hold a surprise birthday party for Myolie, leaving her very touched. As well as the cast and crew from the show, Myolie also received a visit from Artiste Development Department Manager Chan Pui Wah at her party, showing how important she is to the company. Myolie says: "The birthday party was a lovely surprise and the cake they had made specially for me was delicious! (An executive made a late night visit just for you!) Well Pui Wah has always looked out for me!"

Frankie Lam was filming in a neighbouring studio and when he saw that Ms Chan had come to see Myolie, he laughs: "It looks like Pui Wah will have to take us all out to a restaurant for Myolie's birthday!" leaving Myolie a little speechless.

The first gift that Myolie received this year was from Michelle Ye and Michelle says: "I was working in the next studio and knew it was her birthday, so I brought her present with me." As for Myolie's juniors Charles Szeto and Vin Choi, they presented her with a scarf and gloves as a rather thoughtful gift. They said: "The weather is getting colder and we are afraid that big sis will catch cold."

Myolie Wu, Joe Ma and Heidi Chu were filming in the airport departure hall earlier for "Passion for Black Forest" earlier and Myolie responded to suggestions that she had upset the director, resulting in her having to film a wet scene for five hours, saying that this scene was the hardest that she has ever had to film, but it was not a horrible trick by the director. She says: "It was only for three or four hours and although it was quite hard work with my whole body soaking wet and having to roll on the ground, it was necessary for the storyline and I knew about it a long time ago, so it is nothing to do with anyone getting upset. The company had arranged for a body double to take my place. The magazines are always writing rubbish and I am used to it so I just laugh it off."

As for the rumours that she had fallen out with Joe, Myolie immediately says that they have been for dinner together and Joe always takes her to eat many different things and afterwards, even their kissing scenes were not awkward. Joe also supports Myolie, saying that this news is purely entertainment. Mentioning a scene where a six year old child actor has to hug Joe and cry, Joe says that this young actor was very good and could cry as soon as the shoot started. His own son is just a few years old, but he has not thought about allowing him to act.

TVB's "Passion for Black Forest" filmed its final shots yesterday in a scene that tells of Myolie Wu and Joe Ma getting back together and hugging each other in a very touching scene. Afterwards, Myolie commented that Joe's chest is like a sponge cake: "He is really huggable! I ate a lot of cakes whilst filming for this series, but maybe because it was so hard work, I have actually lost a few pounds!"

When asked if she was confident about taking an award for "My Favourite TV character" at the anniversary, Myolie says: "I am not confident because I feel that the 'War and Beauty' cast will do well." As for the reports that Joe Ma will not win an award this year, he says: "I will not be unhappy because it doesn't matter if I win an award or not. I think Dayo Wong will win."

Liza Wang, Myolie Wu, Bosco Wong, Christine Ng and Shek Sau were at the costume fitting for new series "My Sassy Mother-in-Law" yesterday and after a while away from filming, Liza described her character excitedly: "I am the bossy mother-in-law and everyone has to spoil me, even you!" (pointing at the press).

In the show, Myolie will play Liza's daughter-in-law and will have many argument scenes with Liza. Myolie admits that she is a little frightened and nervous and although she has worked with Liza before in "The Awakening Story", they had very few scenes together before and she has never been scolded by Liza before, just taught. However, working with senior artistes will always cause some pressure. As well as argument scenes, Myolie will also have some underwater scenes and she laughs that since entering showbiz, she has always had to shoot watery scenes when it is cold and she sighs helplessly.

The series "Passion for Black Forest" finished filming yesterday and a group of cast members including Bobo Chan, Myolie Wu and Joe Ma went for a meal together. However, this was not a celebratory meal or just a meal for the end of filming, it was actually for the cast members to take the 'God of Cakes' (pastry chef) for dinner, however, the chef could not make it in the end. As this cake master's cakes were just too tasty, they would ask him to make them a different cake to try each time they filmed and the most popular was the cheesecake. Joe says that he was eating cakes every night earlier, so he has developed an interest in making them himself now, but he does not have time, so he has not tried it yet.

Liza Wang and Myolie Wu were filming for new series "My Sassy Mother-in-Law" yesterday and they had to do some graceful steps for the scene. Myolie laughs: "I am not very good at shaking my bottom, so I am afraid I will not do it properly, but luckily Liza has a dance background and she says I have passed, so it should be OK. This scene tells of Liza, who plays my mother in law thinking that she will catch me having an affair, but it is all a misunderstanding and there are a lot of laughs." Liza says that she has been busy preparing for her concert, filming and preparing for James Wong's memorial speech, so she has not had enought sleep.

Liza Wang, Myolie Wu, Bosco Wong and Chan On Ying were filming in TVB City's ancient street for "My Sassy Mother-in-Law" in a rain scene. The story tells of Myolie angering Liza's mother-in-law character and is punished by making her kneel in the rain. She is joined by her husband in the show Bosco and when Liza sees the loving couple getting soaked in the rain, her heart is moved a little and she lets them both off.

Although the weather is not very cold, Myolie still made sure that she had plenty of clothes on underneath her costume and after several takes, Bosco made sure to drink the ginger tea prepared by the crew to warm up afterwards. Myolie says: "It was actually a lot better today already, yesterday we had a scene where I had to jump into the sea and that was even worse because I had to wear a diving suit underneath." When Myolie chatted to the reporters, Liza passed by and said laughingly: "If you argue with me, today it is rain, tomorrow it will be faeces!" Myolie praises Liza, saying that although she does not film many comedies, she is full of life when she does it, especially in a scene earlier where Liza and Shek Sau had to film a scene depicting them meeting 20 years earlier and Myolie says it was very good.

Bosco did not wear anything under his costume yesterday, so after every soaking yesterday, the crew would help him dry off with towels: "I don't understand why how I got so wet with an umbrella. I am so dumb!" As for whether he has turned up late for filming after working with Liza for several sessions, he smiles: "Of course not! However, on my first day of filming with Liza, it was very scary. (Did she scold you?) No, she actually pointed out my lazy pronounciation and taught me how to speak properly."

I agree, I became her fan after watching TITS. At the beginning of the story her character did annoyed me a bit because of how nosy she is, but the more I watch the more I'm adoring her character. She is so sweet and helpful! And totally love Zoe and Sam's scene, it's so funny and sweet. My favorite part is when Sam went to get Eason's signature on her book. That is so sweet I'm so happy that they end up together in the end.

Myolie Wu and Liza Wang were filming for "My Sassy Mother-in-Law" yesterday on location in a scene where Liza pretends to be paralysed to make Myolie carry her down the hill. Although Liza weighs only 108 lbs, but for Myolie who had to carry her and speak her lines whilst walking, she found it quite difficult: "It was pretty hard work! I have had an extra meal today to make sure I have enough strength!" After the walk, Myolie then had to record some panting sounds and when Liza heard her, she laughed: "It sounds like you are constipated!"

Afterwards, Myolie indicated that Liza is actually quite lite and laughs that she is very much in character during filming. When asked what she would do if that was not Liza, but Lydia (Shum), Myolie replies immediately: "If it was Lydia, then you would need to book me a body double! Filming with Liza has been very happy, but we always have to argue and shout at each other, so my voice has become rather hoarse!" Myolie also praises Liza for being very eyecatching, saying that she will win the award for "My Favourite Female Lead Role" next year, to which Liza responded: "Don't be silly! She is just encouraging me!"

'Big sister' Liza Wang and Myolie Wu play a mother and daughter-in-law in the new series "My Sassy Mother-in-law" and it would appear that they are taking it in turns to have tricks played on them in the story by the scriptwriters. With Myolie earlier having to endure being drenched and then carry Liza up a hill, this time it was Liza's turn and on Christmas Day too! The scene tells of Myolie pretending to be a sedan chair carrier and together with some ruffians, they make Liza, who is sat in the chair, rather dizzy. Liza seeks her revenge by chasing Myolie down the street, but she has a bucket of dirty water thrown over her and is mocked by people in the street.

Before filming, Liza seemed rather relaxed and joked: "Whoever wants vengeance can have it (throw the water) now!" Finally an experience crew member was given the task and the scene was completed in one take, but Liza was left with vegetable scraps over her and water in her eyes and nose, looking rather miserable in her drenched costume. After filming, she did not even bother with any interviews and rushed into the dressing room to get changed.

As for Myolie, she says: "In this series, there are many scenes where we are battling against each other. Just yesterday, we had a scene where we were slapping each other and at first I did not dare to hit Liza, but she told me to do my best and it was okay." Working with Liza for the first time, Myolie says that she feels a lot of pressure and adds: "Liza is very serious about her work and I must learn well from her. (Are you very afraid?) She is actually very nice, for example on Christmas Eve, she brought three turkeys into the studio to share and it was a lovely Christmas atmosphere."

Christine Ng, Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong was filming on location for "My Sassy Mother-in-Law" yesterday and as the weather is getting cold, the cast were wearing their coats to keep warm between shoots. Christine even paid for some hot drinks for everyone. In the show, she has the opportunity to work opposite Liza Wang and Christine says: "Even if there are just three lines, she will study each one carefully."

Wearing just one overcoat, Bosco said that his costume is very thin, but he has a thermal vest underneath because he is afraid of appearing puffy. As his series "Wong Fei Hung - Master of Kung Fu" will begin airing after "Kung Fu Soccer", he feels very happy and says: "When we were filming, I would call John Chiang 'Dad' and Michelle [Yim] 'Mum'. I hope that this show can be like those of Master Kwan Tak Hing and we can make over a hundred episodes."

Myolie indicated that there was some unhappiness over the Christmas period and says: "On the 25th, I went to my boyfriend's home for dinner and found that I was being followed by reporters. The next day, they were still waiting for me and photographed my boyfriend close up. I really do not know what to do about this."

The title of "worst ratings of TVB productions aired in prime time 2004" goes to "The Vigilante In the Mask", starring Deric Wan. It scored only 26 points on average, which means about 1.71 viewers tuned in. The second worst is "Dream of Colours", starring Myolie Wu and Rain Li. Its average number was 26.8 points.

"Split Second", the co-production with Thailand, did not live up to the expectations. Another grand production "Blade Heart" also failed miserably, although it starred veteran actors such as Liza Wang and Adam Cheng. "Split" and "Blade" share the third worst title, as both averaged 27 points.

On New Year's Eve yesterday, Myolie Wu was working in TVB City filming for "My Sassy Mother-in-Law" together with newcomer Stephen Wong (Ka Lok) in a scene where mother-in-law Liza Wang shows her wrath once again, leading to Myolie and Stephen having to dress up to escape. Myolie was dressed up as a rather cute granny, but her costume was not as eyecatching as Stephen's as he was dressed up as a heavily made up woman and even he thought he was scary. He laughs: "Originally we did not need to put so much make up on, but this is a comedy, so I wanted to leave a deeper impression, I wouldn't mind if I looked even uglier!"

Stephen also had to carry Myolie on his back, but he still managed to run very fast, laughing there was no difficulty, but Myolie remarked: "Filming this series has been the hardest work since I entered the industry because I have to fight and shout and be soaked. so I have lost a lot of weight. I am very afraid of the cold and although the costume is quite thick, I still have to wear extra clothes underneath. Luckily the water scenes will not be filmed until later, otherwise I will become ill from the cold."

As she was on the early shift with just one studio shoot, Myolie was able to finish work early and have dinner with her family. She also planned to go and support Stephen Chow after dinner, but she was worried she would not be able to get tickets for "Kung Fu Hustle". As for whether she would take part in the countdown, she says she will not as she has to start work early the next day, but she is already happy to be able to have hotpot with her family and watch a movie together.

What hopes does she have as we step into the new year? Myolie says that her progress last year was not bad, with many opportunities for series and advertisements, but it was all a little quiet for her, so she hopes that more of her series will be aired this year and she has the opportunity to win an award at the next anniversary. Talking of the earthquake and Tsunami disaster, Myolie reveals that she was in the affected island of Khao Lak just a month ago and seeing the area being turned into a wasteland, she cannot bear to think about it. She says: "Thinking back that those people who were giving me massage or working in the restaurant may not be alive any more, I feel very uncomfortable, so I will be donating to the Red Cross to do my part."

Myolie says that the hotel she went to stay at had only been open for ten days and her room was very close to the sea, only 200m away, so if she had been on holiday when disaster struck, she would not have survived because she cannot swim. Originally, she had planned to go to Thailand on vacation at the Chinese New Year with her family, but they will be going somewhere else now. The rebuilding of the area will take an estimated two years at least and she does not want to be upset when she goes there.

Bosco Wong, Myolie Wu and Liza Wang were filming at TKO TVB City yesterday for "My Sassy Mother-in-Law" in a wirework scene where mummy's boy and secret super hero Bosco steals the Duke's dagger to raise money for the poor and he meets his wife Myolie who is stealing the imperial seal tp rescue her father. Bosco helps her to escape and as he is wearing a mask, she does not recognise him as her husband.

This is not the first time that Bosco or Myolie have done wire scenes, but it is harder for Bosco this time because he had started being suspended since the early hours of the morning. When asked if he has worn protection for his sensitive areas, he laughs that it is not necessary, but the tops of his thighs and his bottom are quite painful. Although Bosco has to fight hard again in this show, compared to his "Wong Fei Hung" role, this is much more relaxed. As for his silver mask, he had spent 45 minutes making the mould earlier, but the colour is coming off it and irritating his skin.

TVB held a special fundraising event yesterday evening, but as Myolie and Bosco were both busy filming, they were not able to take part. However, Bosco has made a donation and Myolie had originally planned to donate to the Red Cross, but now she has passed her donation to the Jockey Club Appeal because they will match the donation. As for TVB's President Sir Run Run Shaw, he has personally donated $10 million and they both feel that this is a very good thing.
