should twins separate..? i think that they aren't that bad of a gruop. maybe they should stick together because their songs sound better when they sing duet.

This could actually be an interesting topic to do with Twins. Theres alot of Twins threads that bashes them as a duo or individual.

Not a Twins fan but I think we can see many Twins fans favor one more than the other so they probably wouldnt mind seeing them split and go solo. But then again, if they did, it would look like a marketing strategy to extend their popularity and double sales which would down the company's reputation (even more).

Stick together la, they are stronger together. I think they would struggle without each other.

I don't think that Twins would stand a chance if they slit up now. Maybe if they improve more and make a better name for themselves (meaning; being known as Charlene or Gillian and not Twins) then they would.

Twins is best if they stay together, sing together, which is much nicer together because i just cant imagine them separating to go solo in Singing. i cant really see much of them in the music industry where talented singer who are much better like Joey.. They will , surely be kicked down by their singing since theirs are not perfect, nor near there. there's still room for improvement i guess.

But since gil's fans and ah sa's fans are not really 'living' peacefully and in harmony with each, not without commenting on how this is being promoted over this, the unfair treatment , whose better in looks, singing and acting skills.. I dont see the point in them being promoted as a Group. Their fans arent cooperating much isnt it, isnt it better if they go separate ways, maximising what their potentials are..

Gil's fans can see gillian in singing career while charlene in acting career in the future to come..because they feel that gil is better in singing and charlene's better in acting.. some may disagree but if , personally, i do hope this may happen...

Afterall, i feel acting is better since twins cant be able to compete with singers like joey.. thus, in conclusion, i think twins would be best if they stick together in singing

TOGETHER!! They are better together. True their singing isn't that good but I like them! Their songs are good and they their singing isn't completely crap. It works for me. Why do they have the actually seperate? Why can't they pursue other things while still being a singing group?

I think they should just stick together...I mean by looking at all the other people who've split up haven't really done themselves anygood.. they reached a certain point and then they just fade away into the background so quickly.

i think twins should stick together but individual come out with their own albums like what the cookies did. kary and stephy have great selling albums with theirs cds... maybe twins should do that but stay together when performing major events

They won't survive being seperated. There are fans that favor Charlene and those that favor Gillian. If they seperate, fans will support the one they favor and oppose the one they don't favor.

Look at it this way, Twins are popular because some like them both and some only like 1 of them. So if they split each of them will get support from half of their fans and in turn, they won't be as popular as they are now. Which will lead to EEG putting them back together or just slowly stop their work since they aren't making as much money as they were.

Charlene is outspoken, bubbly n cute. Whereas Gillian is shy, mature n sweet.

I think they should stick together. I don't hate them nor are they one of my top favorites, so to sum it up, I listen to a few of their songs, see them here and there, but back on topic, I think they're better when they have each other. In certain situations, say the interviews as mentioned, one is the more outspoken one while the other is more shy. I'm not going to say who's better than who 'cause I don't pay enough attention to start differentiating them, but I definitely feel that they each have their perks and together they make it better. Plus the fan base is bigger this way, as prior to reading the posts on this topic, I didn't know that Gillian and Charlene's fans were separated at such a big level. Which is kind of weird to me 'cause the two of them are after all working in a group and of course a bit of favortism from one over the other is reasonable, but from what was said, it seems that their fans are either crazy for Gillian or crazy fo Charlene only and it's hard for me to explain what I'm trying to say, but it just feels weird that the fan group as a whole can be separated so vastly.

i dont think so, i think songs would be not as special without them two voices. one is not enough i think. sure, but i think Charlene has a cute voice and Gil has a pretty voice and they do make a good pair. but well, Char have been supportive to Gil after the scandals. Gil already have enough things going on and if they break up, i dont think she can go on anymore. is like her image is going down, but people like twins, is pretty like really popular in others mind and if they split now, it would be like Gils going down and it be so weird to see Ah Sa without Ah Gil and Ah Gil without Ah Sa onscreen. i think is weird cuz Twins is well known in others heart and now they see one without another, lol...jsut weird.

I think the way they are now is fine. Charlene is doing fine and Gillian is back. I think if they group again, there'll be rumours going around like before. So, I therefore believe them doing different stuff but still in contact is fine. Hasn't Gillian just been in a musical? She wears a lot of dark eye make up now. I think Charlene is doing pretty well too. ^^

At this point, this topic is still debatable...

It's true that after that hugely notorious scandal, Gillian's fame and reputation has been sabotaged because of it...many people wish for them to split up and Charlene go solo, because they "don't want Charlene to be dragged down by Gillian". Which is a bit too harsh...although I can understand their concerns.
Sorry for bringing up the topic about that scandal again, I'm sure many just wants to put it behind them and move on, I would like to too...it's just that, a lot of people were affected by it and many people can't help but let it affect how they feel about the current status of the group.

For me personally though, I think they're still stronger when they're together, they debuted together as a duo, this is what they are known for and famous for, a duo. Although Charlene is becoming more and more popular on her own now.

But realistically, they're going to disband sooner or later, it's just a matter of time...I mean, you wouldn't think they would still be together when they're 40? 50? and so on? They'll both eventually retire from showbiz, and by that time, they'll be separated.

i really want them to be together. they were one of the best and talented groups in the hk singing business. they overcame so much in the past 10? years.

i mean, charlene's temporary solo career is going up the hills. where as gillian is trying to recover her career.
