I thought the first episode was really funny - I'm really looking forward to more eps but sadly it's only shown once a week! Anyone else watching this show?

Yes, i'm watching it and some parts are really funny for episode 1. I laugh like mad for the toilet and stephen sending messages that part. Anyone know how many episodes for this drama? Too bad, this drama is very short showing like half hour and only show once every week.
Can this series be made sticky in subforum?

I think this only has around 10 to 12 episodes.
Episode 1 was surprisingly funny...probably because you know they're all good chums in real life so it was funny seeing them have a go at each other.
I also thought some of the things Stephen and Conroy said were pretty true-to-life, like how they might have to offer jobs to some very distant friends just because they're in the showbiz.

I thought the first episode was extremely hilarious. I love it so much! I love the awkward silent moments when you just crack up the most. Edmond was so great in it as well. I'm planning on subbing this just so my friends who aren't Chinese can watch it haha.

I'm actually anticipating in watching this series. Not only does it have a lot of famous people but I like the way that this series was shot, like a reality tv show instead of something that is based on a script and make everything seem stringent. Can't wait to watch this show although i heard that the first episode, the reating was low, i hope that it might have to do with being new and all and not because the HK people can't accept this way of filming.

The rating was low? That's a pity.... but then the show is on Saturday nights 9.30pm - most ppl (younger ppl I mean... the target audience!) won't be at home during that time!

Yeah...too bad this series isn't getting the rating that it deserves. Hopefully as the seriese runs, the ratings will change, for the better of course.

I hope Stephen can maintain the same level of humour in his subsequent episodes.
Michael Wong's Cantonese was so bad you could tell he was really struggling when he and Stephen were arguing at the open carpark.

If anyone has already seen the second episode, who is Tan Yu Ying? Michael Wong's secret idol or daydreaming person?? I'm not familiar with her and she doesn't look familiar either. She plays herself in that episode, I know that much.
Thanks in advance.

She's a famous children-show host who has been working with TVB since the early 80s?
Many famous celebs (like Tony Leung, Stephen Chow, Cheung Kwok-Keung, Margie Tsang, Athena Chu, Ekin Cheng, Evergreen Mak...etc) started off as co-hosts on that show before landing roles in TVB series.
That's why she's famous for having collaborated with them before they found fame.

some parts seem kind of awkward kinda like what should I say now and trying hard to think of something to say =P and the part with the phone down the toilet was yucky =P and riiiight like it really would stil work after it falls in there and he even tries to wash it under water!
Just watched ep3 - I think it's better than ep2 since I laughed out loud in a few scenes. (esp in the beginning with the takeaway guy loool)
From the previews it seems Shu Qi will be in the next ep?!

This show is pretty funny, eps 1 when he drops the phone in the toilet and washes it off and claims it has better reception after his mom asks "does it smell?" LOL Then he SMS his thoughts about his friend's wife's cooking to Josie and she gets pissed at him on the street and tells him to eat !@#$ LOL

Love this show/series. It's so hilarious. Though none of the chapters have a real "point" in it...LOL....atleast it's enjoyable and interesting. There should be more than 12 chapters!!!
Really like how there are so many special guests. Looking forward to seeing the last episode-with Miriam and Hilary. I already found the interview hilarious when TVB's SCOOP went to visit the set....can't wait till we actually get to see the entire episode.

I've been in HK for two weeks and I got to watch like one episode from Stephen's Diary and I thought that although it was funny, you could tell that everything is staged. But the funny part was that even though I thought that it was staged, my cousin who lives in HK thought it was hilarious and worth watching. i guess this is th difference from the overseas viewer's taste and a local HK taste.

my older sis told me about this show and said alex fung (the guy she said i thought was cute who was in the tvb series 'green hope') was in there. she wanted to see it and insisted that i find it for her. so i looked ALL over the place searching for alex fung's diary. i finally decided to look in the cast list of the tvb series 'green hope' to see which alex fung my older sis was telling me about and that's when i realized she meant stephen fung!! it made life so much easier lol. just type in 'stephen diary' and a bunch of related links comes popping up.
anyway, i watched a few minutes of the first episode so far and i can already tell this is a very funny show. i am so looking forward for more episodes please. stephen has always been a humourous and talented guy to me.

You're thinking of HBO show starring Larry David (Seinfeld Creator) called Curb Your Enthusiasm
Yeh. SPot on. I think he blatantly got the idea from Curb!!! It's quite good though, only seen one episode. Need to watch a few more to really be able to give a better opinion.

STEPHEN FUNG does not know why that unfortunate events all upon him one after another recently: He has enraged his good friend CONROY CHAN's wife, JOSIE HO, accidentally because his mobile phone is not working properly. He helps the daughter of his mother's good friend to buy some concert tickets, but she refuses to pay. His father has offended a waiter, who, nevertheless, shifts the blame on him. He gets back for LEE CHAN SUM's dog, yet it has gone missing on the way home. He takes the present given to him by his friend to the department store in exchange for something else, only to be told that the receipt is no longer valid
