Like Go Ara before her, Shin Mina (Devil, Go Go 70) lets camera capture her recent trip to France for cable channel O’live Style. The program is called Mina’s French Diary and was filmed over a two-week period (August 20 through September 3).

Similar in format to the other travel diaries broadcast by O’live (i.e., Ara’s trip to Japan, Han Yeseul in L.A., Han Hye-jin in Vegas), the program follows Shin Mina around as she tours the sights of Paris: she browses vintage goods at a flea market, heads to Montmartre, and visits the tomb of chanteuse Edith Piaf. She also ventures to the seaside resort of Deauville.

Mina’s French Diary airs in four installments, the first of which shows on October 18.

Gosh, I haven't been here for a long time, since before the release of Mawang. I'm so happy that MinAh's thread is moving along and people are giving us updates, and posting wonderful and beautiful pictures of MinAh.

I posted the two childhood pictures of MinAh to soompi, I hope ttenovy or Lena don't mind. MinAh was a beautiful child. I love her dimples.

orithao at soompi posted the videos of MinAh in France on youtube, unfortunately no eng. subs. MinAh looks so good. There are also more new videos of her posted on youtube, when she was in NYC, early CF days with TBJ. I cannot post the links, but just search for Shin Min Ah on youtube.

the MinAh fans in soompi also post updates, we try to do it regularly, but sometimes, there is just no news, so it can be days, sometimes weeks without new updates.

I hope MinAh was able to attend and support JJH on his new movie, Antique Bakery, and I hope there will be video of her.

Now we wait for MinAh's two remaining movies to be released. I wonder what her next project will be.

She was cute in My Mighty Princess, but I'm sad that it took almost 3 years to be released. The story was okay, but too many subplots and unnecessary stories that could have been cut without harming the entire movie.

Usually appeared as nice and down-to-earth on-screen, Shin Min Ah surprised everyone when she revealed the hidden sexy side of hers.



These photos will be featured on the Korean version of Cosmopolitan which will be sold in November. Min Ah advertises for Calvin Klein, which will be quite refreshing to readers. In these Cosmopolitan shoots, Min Ah was able to step out of her comfort zone and went for a more modern, confident and most of all, sultry look.

yay happy to see another min ah fan in here and of course we don't mind you spreading the min ah love elsewhere...she certainly was a beautiful child and looks exactly the same then as she does now...so great to see such a natural and unique beauty in the korean ent. business and yup her dimples just add to her cuteness factor



omg i LOVED the two of them in Mawang...with JJH and SMA, i don't think that they were actually all too close during their shooting of Mawang until the very end...but there were some cute moments of them...i remember reading an interview that JJH had done regarding the ending of Mawang and how he said he'd felt that it left Min Ah's character without much closure and so they just hugged one another

i was extremely happy when i heard that they were filming again for their upcoming film "Kitchen"...i was even more happy when JJH supported Min Ah during the premiere of her "GoGo 70" film...so nice to see them supporting one another and i'd love to see min ah support JJH in his "Antique" premiere




yup i cannot wait until the release of "Kitchen" and i actually hope that Min Ah opts for another drama...i miss seeing her in them and even though there have been some speculations about a Mawang 2, i dunno how true they are...i can't imagine a part 2 what with what happened in the ending



i watched the film too and felt disappointed with the storyline...overall a fluffy film...and what with the three year hiatus, i'd been hoping that they'd at least take those years to beef up the storyline or edit out things that didn't work

I read in JJH thread in soompi that, in the Mawang director's cut interviews, JJH described MinAh as a goddess Yes, I didn't think they were that close during the filming of Mawang, but maybe towards they end they found friendship. They both share the passion for photography. JJH also supported MinAh when MMP was premiered.

I'm so delighted that SMA and JJH will be together again with Kitchen, but I could not believe that the filming completed so fast, about a month.



Yes, I've been reading about a possible Mawang 2, but I don't think MinAh will be reprising her role. To me, the Mawang story ended.

But I do hope that she does another drama also, then we can see her everyday for at least 8 weeks. I wonder who MinAh will be coupled with for her next project? She has worked with diverse group of actors, and looks sympatico with all of them.

Currently, I'm re-watching Ijuksa. MinAh was wonderful in her role as EunSuk. Since I have watched the drama so many times before, I'm just focusing on the interaction between the MinAh and Rain as actors. And watching their interaction as MinAh and Rain though their NG's, and they showed great chemistry together. Rain seemed so gentle with MinAh, making me feel that MinAh was precious to him, but from what we know, they didn't become close after shooting, maybe because he was too busy. But then again, MinAh and him have worked together before during their TBJ days (so they could be close friends).

I'm happy to see that SMA is doing more photoshoots, showing her from a different aspect, someone more mature and senual. I loved that she allowed her fans and public to see her experiences in NYC and France, I only wished there were Eng. subs to understand the questions and responses.

I wish MinAh lots more success, and happiness. Aja MinAh!

No news on MinAh for a while. I hope she was not one of the attendants of the Audi show that had the collapse. I read that some of her friends attended, like Gong Hyo Jin and Ryu Seung Bum, but there was no mention of MinAh's name with the VIP list. Good news!

i also read that JJH had called Min Ah a complete and total goddess, but on the flip side he'd said that she also, as a goddess, gave off a feeling of not being easy to get close to...i guess since both JJH and SMA are both the quiet type, it's more difficult to become close to during filming especially in such a dark setting that was Mawang

but good news is that the filming of Kitchen definitely brought the two of them together...with a lighter (?) setting, they've certainly become closer friends...not only has JJH supported Min Ah with her movie premiere, but them recently presenting together at the awards ceremony just showed how cute and awkwardly comfortable they are with one another...i saw a picture of them sharing a water bottle and my heart fluttered



yea they really did wrap up the movie rather quickly, but it's nice to know that despite their relative limited time with one another, they were still able to get closer than they were before



looking back at that report, it seems most likely just a rumor to me...Mawang, though an excellent story, never did have the viewership it deserved...the cult following is definitely a plus but the story did end for me as well...with what happened in the end, i can't even imagine how there could possibly be a sequel



watching Min Ah work on another drama would be wonderful since it allows time for more character development and more time for her to complete filming...but even if she doesn't return back to the small screen anytime soon, i'm extremely happy that her film career is definitely launching...hopefully Kitchen does well at the box office ^^



ooohh i loved Ijuksa...i'm a sucker for romantic tearjerkers and that drama certainly pulled tears out of me...it was beautiful and heartbreaking to see Eun Seok and Bok Gu's unfold and unravel at the same time due to Bok Gu's brother being a factor in their not-meant-to-be relationship...and that ending was so sad

and LOL the good thing with Min Ah being very guarded about her personal life is that we don't really know who her friends in the entertainment business are...i'm sure that even though Min Ah and Rain might not have the time to stay in touch much due to their busy schedules, they still became friends in the process of filming and doing ads together



thanks for the Kitchen spoilers...when i first read about the new storyline compared to what it was thought to be, i was quite surprised about Min Ah having that role...it has a pretty adult theme, but after seeing the behind-the-scenes interviews/clips for Kitchen, it seems like it'll be a pretty light film despite the xD

The interaction between MinAh and JJH was friendly during the Film Awards. I'm so happy that they are buddies. My heart skipped some beats when I saw the pictures of them sharing the bottled water and the gif of JJH helping MinAh move to the side because she was laughing

Yes, I also hope that both Kitchen and I Like It This Way are successful. I'm disappointed that MMP and GoGo 70 didn't do well in the box office, but I hope her other two movies fare better. I read that MinAh has going to be a model for a clothing company, and it will start for spring. So we will see more of her in 2009.

MinAh is very guarded about her personal life. I hope she didn't have a hard time when the rumors surfaced about her and Top. I think that the two are friends, but only they know if they are lovers. It is ashame that whenever MinAh hangs out male friends, she is accused to be romantically linked with them. But I do hope that MinAh finds love. I read, in a past interview, that she wants to marry late.

I hear that MinAh has switched talent agency to Jang Dong Gun's new company. Have you heard anything of this?

haha yea it was nice to see the more candid moments between them caught on tape...but it was hilarious to see how awkward and stiff the two of them seemed when they were actually presenting...i guess the two of them were too busy having their eyes glued to the teleprompter and boy did Min Ah look stunning in her gown...not only did it fit her body perfectly, but it totally flattered all her curves

i've actually yet to see <GoGo 70>, but after seeing MMP, while Min Ah played an awfully spunky and adorable main lead, the film wasn't exactly that filled with substance. ..and with the release date of MMP having kept being pushed back, i was quite disappointed that even after re-editing parts, the martial arts scenes weren't made better and the plot wasn't made tighter =[

i'm hoping that <Kitchen> strikes a balance between the adult issues and humor...plus with JJH's recent Antique hit, it isn't a bad thing that his popularity might boost the box office sales for <Kitchen> xD

as for <I Like It This Way>, i'm happy that min ah got to work with gong hyo jin...i read somewhere that they both started out as models and were known to be friends...by working with a friend, i'm sure that the bond translated to that of the sisterly kind necessary for the film

and of course, box office ratings aren't everything...as long as minah felt pride in her work or felt some personal growth after undertaking her projects, i'm happy for her...2008 was still a great year for Min Ah and now that 2009's come, i'm sure Min Ah will shine even brighter

To me, MinAh usually looks uncomfortable infront of a live audience, but she has improved (afterall, she did sing infront of a live audience). I loved the banter between her and JJH before the announcement the nominations. Do you know what they said between each other? They got a few laughs from the crowd.



yes, most definitely, MinAh rocked that dress. I thought she was one of the best dressed of the night. She looked absolutely beautiful and glamorous. I wonder how many more people took notice of her after that night, or how many new suitors she gained I thought it was elegant of her to arrive in a car, as opposed to a van. I felt bad that they posted some of the photos of her getting out of the car and exposing her chest, pobrecita.



I liked her character in the MMP, but the story lacked direction. I felt that the storyline could have been trimmed, and some characters cut, and the order of the story presentation should have been revised. But there seem to be a lot of foreign fans who enjoyed the movie.

lol yea that's true...min ah doesn't seem all too comfortable when put in the spotlight and no i actually hadn't been able to find a clip of them with the english subtitles...do you mind telling me what they said?



i love that min ah has a great sense of fashion and how her fashion in a way represents her...it's never flashy, almost always simple and very elegant and yup she was definitely one of the best dressed out there that night...the navy was a nice contrast to the black or white mostly everyone wore

and yea i saw those pics and clips of her getting out of the car and kinda held my breath hoping that there wouldn't be any wardrobe malfunctions...luckily there were none and her figure held her dress perfectly in place



i found pretty much all of the characters, especially min ah, to be likeable, but the storyline definitely had fault to it...that's why i was particularly disappointed with the fact that although they had time for revisions, they didn't take full advantage of that opportunity of a much pushed back release date



i'm hoping that they don't push back the date again...but lol thinking about what the storyline is, that must be quite the storyline for lovebirds to watch



sad to say that i have yet to watch Volcano High...would you recommend the film?

i've yet to actually hear about this news...would you happen to know who else is connected to this reported film? and ooh another genre for min ah to dabble with...if min ah is in this new film, hopefully it'll lean more toward suspense in the psychological sense...those films are usually more thought-provoking to watch

New thriller “Billion” features star-studded cast

Woo, what a lineup. The new movie Billion has announced its cast, and what a cast it is.

The director is Jo Min-ho (Les Formidables, Jungle Juice), and the story follows eight men and women who participate in a “survival game” for a billion-won prize (which is in the vicinity of a million dollars). They arrive in Australia to find themselves stuck in a life-or-death game, in what sounds like a mix of Survivor and The Most Dangerous Game.

The plot is familiar, but with this cast, I’m hoping it will rise above generic horror-thriller fare to be something quite interesting. The actors are, in order of appearance on the photo above:

* Park Hae-il (Paradise Murdered, The Host), as the “sensitive outsider”;
* Shin Mina (Go Go 70, Devil), an upbeat and positive character;
* Park Hee-soon (Seven Days, Mixed-up Investigative Agency), the lunatic PD in charge of the survival game (and boy, will that be great — Park Hee-soon does menacing crazy incredibly well);
* Lee Min-ki (Romantic Island, Dal Ja’s Spring), a tough guy formerly of the marine corps;
* Jung Yumi (who was fantastic playing the gamine in the drama Que Sera Sera), once again playing naive; and
* “Chunderella” Lee Chun-hee (Humming, Great King Sejong) in the part of a cold-hearted fund manager.


I think the cast is playing a bit to type, but I’m okay with that because I can picture them perfectly, and the info has my interest already piqued.

The film begins filming mid-February and is aiming for a summer release.

hey Lena, sorry I have been MIA from this area. Lots of goodies have been coming out for the last couple of weeks because of The Naked Kitchen promos. We finally have more pictures and public attention from MinAh. If it wasn't for movies and dramas, this girl would be in hiding from the public





I watched Volcano High back in 2002 and I loved it then. I was really into martial arts movies and Volcano was the first Korean movie I watched. I loved the character played by Jang Hyuk (partial to his blond hair ) and MinAh played her character well. You should watch it, it's a fun movie. I remember that the movie was shown on MTV, and was dubbed in English, using famous rappers' voices.





Unfortunately, my knowledge is limited regarding MinAh. MinAh is such a private person.

I am on her thread at soompi, but all of the regulars, the ones that could translate and give newbies info about MinAh, are all gone.

I became her fan after watching her performance in Sad Movie. I watched the movie on an overseas flight, and my tears left my sleeves soaked. MinAh's character was really enjoyable in the movie, especially when she wore her Raggedy Ann costume.
For someone who is a new fan of MinAh, you are very knowledgeable. I'm guessing, from your avatar, that you are a JJH fan I'm really happy that their friendship has blossomed through filming Kitchen. I have enjoyed seeing their chemistry together, especially when watching the videos from Kitchen presscon 1 and 2, Ceci photoshoot and Vogue photoshoot.





I was quite surprised that MinAh was singing for Kitchen. She has been singing more often lately, and I love it. I'm glad that other people recognize her other talents. She was so cute in the "MV" for song, messing up the lyrics and laughing.

The other gift of The Naked Kitchen is JJH singing. I like his voice and the song he sung, when serenading MinAh's character, tickled my ears.





I giggled like a school girl watching the Ceci video. The two are just saccharine sweet to watch. I love that MinAh is comfortable with JJH. They seem like bosom buddies. When JJH has MinAh in his arms, he has the look of a proud man, or a man who had a precious treasure in his possession. JJH had a softness in his eyes and face while looking at MinAh during the photoshoot. I loved when he picked her up then spun her around also

JJH's face seems to light up when talking to MinAh, talking about MinAh or even teasing MinAh.

Have you seen the Vogue photoshoot video? JJH's laugher is jovial in the video, especially when teasing MinAh.

Have you seen MinAh's pictures for Esquire? MinAh looks like a porcelain doll in the pictures. The photos are super sexy, and with MinAh's face expressing innocence and naivete, the pictures are very provacative.





I'm excited for MinAh, that Billion will be filmed on location in Australia. I wonder what city they will be filming in? IIRC they want to release the film around July of this year - that's fast. I hope everything turns out well for the production and the cast.

I really like Shin Min Ah. I first discovered her in A Love to Kill. I thought the drama was so antagonizingly beautiful and Min Ah did a marvelous job in it! I could feel her pain with every tear that fell from her eyes and how much she loved both brothers!

Also, she has such a breathtaking smile. It can light up a room and her dimples are just simply adorable.

I tried watching 'The Devil.' But both times I tried to watch it I couldn't finish it. I feel really bad about that too because I think her and Joo Ji Hoon look so fantastic together and I really would have enjoyed seeing them work together more.

I heard they did a movie together as well, so I'll have to check that out.
