to all the people who commented on the piracy issue with CWL. i'm not sticking up for those ppl, but i understand why they're doing it, if i understand the situation correctly, that is. the way i see it, everyone wants to make money. i guess it's more like..survival of the fittest. so they wouldn't give a damn about the ratings, as long as they can make money off of it so they can have at least a little bit of money to support themselves. so in the perspective of fans, of course we're gonna be pissed cuz the ratings might drop due to piracy, but in the perspective of those ppl who sell pirated stuff, they're just trying to support themselves. and some are really poor and desperate, so i don't blame them.

i just hope the ratings won't drop TOO much, like dropping from 4 to 1 or something

I understand what u mean, and I actually agree with u...though we don't like what these people are doing, but if I was in their position, if that's what I have to do in order to earn a living, then I would do the same.
And I wouldn't worry too much about the ratings...if people really want to support this drama, then I believe they know what the wiser choice is...I heard people in tw hate the china versions hence alot of them don't watch it, and the main focus of the ratings at this time is in tw, so I don't think it'll affect too much on the ratings.

The china version is a complete waste of time anyway, the editing done to it is too excessive, and sometimes the story just makes no sense.

the pic looks super photoshopped. i doubt its true. it takes less effort and trouble to just kiss for real. the take of the kiss is just too obvious to not kiss for real. if its like half hidden by their faces, possible.

That photo is obviously a poor production of photoshop 101. The tissue is not even on Barbie's mouth. It seems shifted to the edge and looks really odd period. Besides, why would Show, Barbie, and even the director denied if it was true? Barbie already mentioned that all her kissing scenes with Show are real. And they have more than just this one, so why the need for the tissue? Doesn't make sense.

come on, they actually think the fans, even the anti-fans of DaS, would believe that photo (with tisuue) is real? do they think we dont use brains anymore? nobody would believe that with that pathetic photo-editing talent. i re-watched that scene over & over again, there's no way a tissue could be there then edited out in post-production.. granting that that scene was done several times, and the scene we saw in the preview is actually the nth time of that shoot, still, the way that tissue is supposed to be placed in DaS lips and how it appears to be several layers (it's a thick piece), it cannot stay there if someone's face is coming right at you..it will definitely fall down..unless it's glued to the lips.

The tissue is totally fake. There's is no way that it would fit adequately if they really did use it. Too bothersome. But even on the manipulated picture, it looks sooo unreal. Besides, why would Show, Barbie, and Director Lin denied it IF it was real? They have more kissing scenes than just this one.

OMG...Just finished watching episode 5. Although I don't understand a word of it, I absolutely loveeeeeeeeeeeee it sooooooooooooo mucho!!! So many cute interactions between XL and QL and plus the rest of the cast is simply hilarious! This drama is too good to be missed out on!

Some of my favorite parts...

[spoiler] The bike scene in the beginning was really sweet. (I'm just falling for all these bike scenes lately...What close proximity they both share!)

When XL was playing the piano with the little girl and QL was outside listening and smiling so sweetly. (~Gasp~ Too cute!)

I really like XL's confidence and how she stood up for BZ when that one guy on the plane purposedly spilled juice on her shirt. (So they both lost their flight attendant jobs then right?)

I really liked the entire scene where everybody was sitting at the table outside at the food stands and suddenly QL and XL faced and talked to each other like no one was around. (It was just the two of them...)

And of course, afterwards when XL and QL were walking back together to their house and XL sang that song QL sang to her and she was making all these cute actions. And then they were both singing happily! (What a sweet couple.)

And the highlight of this episode. The KISSES! XL was drunk and QL told her to close her eyes and she did and she detailed his features. Then suddenly he kissed her...And she kissed him back!!! (Although we've already seen it in the previews, it's so kawaii to see it again in the episode!)

I love it when XL fell into QL's arms and he hugged her closer...(So romantic!)

Oh my goodness...The way QL was piggybacking XL you'd think she was really heavy or something...Hahhaha...I really love that part too. And when she fell on him and they both landed on the sleeping mat right next to each other. (So cute! XL was sleeping on QL's arm and they were reallyyyy close to one another!)

It was so cute when QL was touching his lips when he was explaining to Ah Ma and Ah Da about last night...(So innocent...NOT!)

It was so sweet when QL fully grabbed XL's hands when she was getting her purse. The way their hands were intertwined was sweet. And the moment they looked into each other's eyes...(Awww)

When QL saved XL from his friend's slap...(So manly and great timing.)

I can't wait until the next episode. That's when Dean appears and QL has a rival. It seems like there is going to be more drama since QL's childhood friend has something up her sleeve.

I love all the moments with QL's friends. They are definitely funny! The entire cast really portrayed their roles well. They are all enjoyable to watch. One thing I don't know for sure is that are QL and XL an 'official' couple now? In this episode, you can definitely tell BOTH of them like each other so much. They're facial expressions are undeniable. I can't wait for more of the REAL actions! This drama is getting better and better each minute. I love it soo much! [/spoiler]

I stayed up till 5 last night to watch the 4 episodes and I just wanted to say that this show is absolute best OMG i've always loved barbie but i never knew her chemistry with show is sooooooo good and adorable!!!! i totally fell in love with the plot of the show, it's a very cute fairy-tale like storyline with barbie as a rich snobby girl and later she meets someone thats at a lower class and ofcourse fell in love with him hahahahhaha.........so far my favorites scenes are the bathroom scene where show saw barbie naked friggin funny .....and the scenes when barbie would sit on show's bicycle whens he riding, it reminds me of those 70s times where couples would always do that when they're dating!!! WELL N E WAYS ENUFF CHATTING *running to watch episode 5*

i absolutely love episode 5!!!!! btw, i'll be saying this about every episode! haha! this drama is just so great!!! love everything about it!



[spoiler] after ql and xl were arguing, ql went back to jbd and ah yi's office, and jbd has the inspiration now to write novels. ah yi said it's all thanks to ql and ql doesn't quite get it. jbd was saying it's because love has arrived and he feels alive again. he's saying love is like trying to get a cab on a rainy day, sometimes not even one stops for you, but sometimes five to ten stops for you. he starts comparing xl and bz with each other and said how can he choose from these two? ql was still confused but ah yi clarified things, saying that ql brought xl to introduce to jbd. and then he meets bi zhu. now he doesn't know who to go out with. and ql was explaining that it was all a misunderstanding. that he never palnned to introduce a girl to him. and ah yi said, so you arranged for him to meet bz too! when you asked him to take xl to the airline company! ql didn't have the heart to tell him!

wahaha! ah da told amah xl had 3 boyfriends and she decided to let ql know but ah da said no, ql is very emotional... and then he imagined ql to be commiting suicide! haha!

ql and xl meet after xl has gone shopping. ql wanted to tell xl about jbd's misunderstanding but xl doesn't want to hear it if it's bad news. coz she doesn't want to spoil her happy mood coz she was able to get her first job in her life. ql saw xl was having trouble walking and asked what happened? she said she was shopping and her legs hurt and bought a 10,500 pair of shoes for work. and ql was scolding her again coz she doesn't have any money anymore. and she said she has a credit card haha! was funny when they would stop and then glare at each other haha! but in the end, ql still gives xl a ride on his bike haha! i agree so sweet thses bike scenes!

the part where ah da prevents amah from scolding xl about her boyfriends was funny hahaha! just telling her to clean the house haha! and xl was a bit mad and confused why amah was so harsh on her. the towel scene!!!!! so cute hahaha! and xl was complaining to ql that she didn't dp anything wrong why is amah angry at her and now ql too! ql said i didn't do anything wrong too why are you angry at me? and they started fighting over the towel haha! haha was so cute the way the 2 were embarassed after. and ql then offered to help her clean then xl said no. then ql said let him then she passed the towel and told him to hurry up she has to go out in ten minutes haha! then ql was like "her princess attitude is starting up again and then realized "hey, this is my towel." haha! awww... xl was really affected by that fall haha!

oohmygosh! the scene where ql was outside their house listening to xl play the piano?!?! was soooo sweeeeeeeeet!!! he's so smitten!!!! ahhh! his expression haha!!!

and the letter to xi xian, she wasn't telling the whole truth still, i guess she doesn't want xi xian to worry, and told her amah was her housekeeper, even though a bit strict she was great at cleaning the house, ah da was her chef hahaha! even though he was fat and can really eat, his cooking skills are good! the part where ql got the last vegetables and gave it to xl with that silly smile!!! haha and he still doesn't know he's in love? hahaha! she told xx she met ql and aside from cooking oajian he can also draw but it's not so good haha so she hired him as a driver again to help him haha!

xl's first day of work, amah and ah da were hinting at her not to flirt with passengers and why is her skirt so short hahaha! and xl doesn't get them!

hahaha the part where ql saw an airplane and was wondering why he was worried about her? she'll be back the next day. then he almost got run over by a truck hahaha! and he was like "i almost died! what was i thinking about?" hahaha!

wow, ql had a nightmare about xl and went directly to her room! he dreamt that xl was taken away by the demon and xl was asking him for help but he couldn't move and xl was taken away! aaawww! haha the part where ah da jumped onto ql was so funny! and amah thought ah da likes ql wahaha! coz he was saying something like "he really can't stand seeing ql this way and coz of my feelings for him" and amah was like you like ql?! and then he said no brotherly feelings and didnt want to explain anymore haha! and amah was like, why are the kids these days so weird?

xl really is a great friend. she stood up for bz against that really rude passenger and they got fired! they saw ql at the airport and then bz asked him is he there to pick up xl, xl's face for a second looked like she was anticipating his answer and then he said no. her face changed haha! he was wondering why they weren't in uniform! and bz said they were fired. and xl was still saying they resigned haha!

in the car, they weren't talking and ql was thinking coz of her rich girl attitude she wasn't able to hold on to a job. and xl was thinking she'll find another job just he wait and see haha!

funny jbd was posing when he was buying a suit! hahaha! his poses! and ah yi was telling jbd to confess to xl in front of people! it's more romantic that way haha! his book finally came out and it was ql's drwing! and then amah saw the cover and they were like "no it's not ql's drawing coz he promised amah he wouldn't draw anymore" haha so defensive!

haha xl told lsq not to say anything about ql being her driver coz his amah doesn't know!

jbd was starting to get up to confess to xl and then bz stands up, ah yi and jbd thought she was gonna confess to him and then she just said that she wants to help organize a signing event for jbd around the city. and then it was lsq, he just wanted to say that he was gonna go back to china and develop a "xiao chi jie" just like the one there haha! amah and ah da thought he was gonna confess to xl hahaha and they were scared for a minute haha! and then it was jbd who has to say something
and ql amah and ah da was like you can't! and then amah and ah da was like ,u know? and then ql said "you know too?" haha and then amah just told xl to choose between jbd, lsq and ql haha! and then xl asked are you all drunk? why did this question suddenly appear? then she said she can she not choose from these three? and then ql said no! xl asked why? and then ql was like did you forget we are pretending to be bf-gf so you can stay at our house!

this part is so sweet!!! *faints*
ql: have you forgotten? when we were in shanghai, you and i met in an oajian store, we both like to eat oajian. and you asked me to teach you to cook oajian. we rode the bike happily, we ran in the rain, you played the piano for me, you also said, you'll remeber my face forever. most important thing is, when your parents were bankrupt, you came to me, and said i was the only onw you can lean on, so you came to live in my house. didn't you?

xl: yes, you're right. u taught me to cook oajian. in my happiest moment, wished me the best. when i was down, you sang for me. when i was sick, you carried me home and bought me medicine. ever since i was small, beside xx, no one has cared for me this way like you, you're always there to support me silently, encourage me, most importantly, ever since i was bankrupt, you're the only one i can lean on. i can only stay at your house. ah mah and ahda were so touched!!! haha!

i just watched a preview of this series, and the storyline kind of reminded me of 'ai shang qian jing mei mei' with meng zhe and qiao en. however, this series looks to be a lot more developed and interesting. i can't wait to watch it!

i just finished the fifth episode its so good, i love it!! and the picture with the tissue i think it is fake, because in the scene its too good for that. my favorite part was when she stood up for her friend, it shows that she is a loyal person. but towards the ending dean fujioka finally appears but do anyone know what role he plays? and who thinks her ex might come back? by the way anyone know the ratings yet? i hope it got a 4 or even a 5...good luck!!

Ql was quiet and xl asked why aren’t u talking? And ql said nothing. are you in a bad mood? Ql said no… and xl said you’re not talking and in a bad mood…then just sing! Ql says why is it always me that sings? Xl said, then I’ll sing! Qin Lang version. Waaaah! And she did! It was too cute!!! Hahaha! The annoying girl is really annoying xiao yang haha! I mean come on, going to ql’s house dragging xl out and wanting to slap her?! Haha they just met haha! Glad that ql was there!!! but when xiao yang asked if he really likes her… all he said was she still is my friend… I think ql still doesn’t want to admit it! sigh!

Haha the part where xiao yang kicked the can and hit ah da’s head was so funny! He had a bag of chips again in his hand haha and he told xiao yang that xl was going to stay until she finds a job. But when she does find a job, amah’s gonna make her move out! And xiao yang has an idea!

Oh ye, I forgot the scene where ql went to the office coz he has something to say to jbd and jbd says he also has something to say then jbd says that he and bi zhu….and ql grabbed jbd and thought he likes bi zhu and said that’s great! And laughed out loud. Then jbd says no, he wants to tell bz he wants her to stay as his friend to support him and he likes xl more. And ah yi said that it’s good he has finally decided and both of them were like laughing so loud! Funny scene! ql was frozen after that! too bad for ql…

For episode 6: she helps xl and bz find a job in a hotel; I think her father manages it or something. And of course, dean’s here! Haha! Well, was really also anticipating his appearance! I think he and bie looks good too haha! I think he would be a fun character! Of cors, seeing ql jealous would be good too! Haha! But I wanna see xl jealous to! awwww. episode 5 was so cuteeee. i get the jitters whenever i see those two on a bike. it's like their signature or something. and the part where ql stops his childhood friend from slapping xl was awesome.

i am listening to the ost, and i cant help but wishing xiao zhu sang more of the songs. he is a fairly good singer.

also...does anyone know the song of that piano piece they continuously play (and sing. lol)? it sounds sooo cuteee, and i have that track on repeat over and over all the time.

i really doubt that there was a tissue there when they were filming.
i mean, please~ why go through so much trouble doing that. i mean,
if they want to fake kiss, they can put this little plastic strip or something on their mouths.. sorta like tape or soemthing [don't know how to describe it] and than kiss.
cuz i've seen those before...

why go through so much trouble putting tissue there, and than editing it?
just doesn't make sense. i don't believe that tissue thing going on.
a picture doesn't prove anything.

i've seen a news saying how this guy is going out with this girl, and they had a pic to prove it.. saying that the guy put his hands on the girl's leg.
the girl said that there's no such thing. it was just the angle.
so ya, a picture cannot prove anything, and that thing could have been added by someone using photoshop or something.

But I wish people would stop comparing this to HK, even if it's only just for the ratings...they're both great, and both have their loyal viewers, let's just leave it as that

barbie xu look so cute, i have watched she plays many series but i still very like when watch serieses she playing, thank you because for me watch a series of her again

can't wait til i can watch ep 5.... I'm in Canada, so i have to wait for DD..haha, or mayb youtube....which eva comes first, but then all of u are making me soooo excited abt ep5

don't want to watch it at the beginning, but later on watch it because some of my friends told me it was good. And I agree. This drama is quit good, and I like the main guy's acting.
