CCTV’s idol drama Corner With Love garnered the highest ratings for last week (25th). Yesterday, Producer Cai Zhi Ping, male and female leads Da S, Xiao Zhu, Chen Zhi Kai and Teng Gang Dian gathered for a celebratory party. If the average ratings break 5, Xiao Zhu promised that he would definitely wear a pink superman costume to bungee jump. In anticipation of this, two sets of superman costumes have already been prepared. Also, because Corner With Love was so well received, everyone present persuaded Producer Cai Zhi Ping to film a sequel and she finally nodded in agreement, not forgetting to turn to Da S and Xiao Zhu to mark out time for it!

The highest rating Corner With Love has got was 4.56, and Xiao Zhu had previously sworn that if ratings broke 5, he would wear a superman costume to bungee jump and would give a pink superwoman costume to Da S. Yesterday at the celebratory party, Xiao Zhu promised, “If the average ratings break 5 points, I will wear the pink superman costume to bungee jump. Da S will be responsible for giving me support by the side!” When asked who he wanted to bungee jump with, Xiao Zhu laughed and said, “If we are going to die we must die together! Of course Chen Zhi Kai and Teng Gang Dian. One can wear the blue superman costume and the other can wear the pink one.” Chen Zhi Ping and Teng Gang Dian loyally agreed, “Ok! Who’s scared of whom, we’ll jump together!”

Because Corner With Love was so well received, everyone persuaded Producer Cai Zhi Ping to film a sequel. Seeing this situation, she finally nodded her head and formally announced that a sequel will be filmed, not forgetting to tell Da S, Xiao Zhu, Chen Zhi Ping and Teng Gang Dian to mark out time for it. The actors said, “As long as Sister Cai says the word everything will be ok!” Xiao Zhu however had a request, “Can the bicycle be changed to a better one?” Producer Cai laughed and said, “It is because of that lousy bicycle that the hearts of the viewers were won over!”

The many locations used to film Corner With Love have also caused some commotion. For example, many viewers went on the internet to search for the exact location of the beach where they filmed the scene where the lead actors expressed their love, wanting to emulate the scene. As a result, the San Zhi beach temporarily became a hotspot. Producer Cai said, “There was really a girl who made a wish to the genie at the beach and was successful in expressing her love!” Xiao Zhu added, “Do you know why we chose San Zhi? Because it’s three little (San Zhi) Xiao Zhus!” causing everyone to laugh!

oh no...im a happy kinda sad about the sequel news...sure i wanna see DaS & xiaoZhu work together again but i really dont see where else their love story could go. im somehow getting the feeling that it would be another meteor garden 2 failure. i was kinda hoping it would be a different project but same people. but hey..this is just me being ever pessimistic.. maybe it will be another hit. all of us fans will have to make sure it will be a hit.

but for the sequel, i dont see shan dong's character coming back...i mean, they cannot insist that shan dong would still pursue xin lei cause that would be boring already to see that again.. but i definitely see Dean's character coming back & trying to get xl from ql...that's one hanging issue from the current story

and yey! all the 3 guys will bungee!! i cant wait for that!

It'll be silly if SD still pursues XL when he has already gave her and QL his blessings...and same goes to ATF; unlike SD, I think ATF is smart enough to understand that love cannot be forced, and he knows very well how much XL and QL love each other, so I don't think he'll try to come between them, and he has given them his blessings also. Besides, I don't think ATF has ever really 'loved' XL, of course he was very interested in her, he really admires her and I do think that he 'likes' her, but I don't think he ever really truly 'loved' her to begin with, and he is more acceptive and supportive of QL than SD is. So I don't think he'll be coming into the picture again. I think there's a bigger chance SD will return to the love triangle than ATF.

After that said, I think it's very likely that there'll be new characters introduced, definitely a new love rival for QL.

may it be a sequel or another series... i just hope that show and barbie will have another series soon.

and i also want to see show wears a superhero outfi, i pray for the ratings to get even higher..

she has one on her hand, neck and ankle
i remember watching a rain scene & the thing that was covering her tattoo showed, it looked like it was about to come off, it blended in with her skin tone, so its not that noticable but i noticed it =x

it was covered with white paper, it was pretty obvious in one episode (ep. 10 i think) i noticed that white paper covering her tatoo, just like they did in mars, they had this mars photobook and i saw in that book that the she had her tatoo coverd with white paper...

I can definitely tell that Barbie's tatoo on the back of her neck is still there. It's just kind of subtle and covered up by make-up, so it's barely noticeable in some angles.

yeah i definitely saw it too. it was a skin colored patch that they covered it up with. there was a scene where the back was to the camera.. and you can see that the patch was a little wrinkled up cuz it was stuck on so it was uneven. :] hahaha. it kinda looked like a bandage-ish thing.

and they also covered over her tattoo on her ankle too...i think. i forget when , but she was sitting on the bike with qin lang and you can see that her ankle looked bruised...cuz they tried to cover the tattoo with powder. hahaha =)

yeah i noticed that it was wrinkled so, it was quite noticeable..

it is a great drama which deserves to hit 5..... =D coz i know HK managed to go over 5 and in certain age limits it hit a 7... so i think CWL should be able to as well... coz this is getting VERY good ^^

i will certainly miss QL and XL..... so i will be hoping for a part 2 asap =D i think their chemistry rock... and when Show cries... it is like gut wrenching to watch...

those places where they shot the scenes have become tourist attactions to some. like that house..then the resort where they filmed with dean & that beach where XL & QL wished on the wishing lamp.. me wanna see those places too..

As long as the series is good then people are watching it.
I don't care much about the ratings just the series. CWL certainly is good.

haha but the fact is.. the ratings matter a lot in Taiwan. i remember reading somewhere about how the summerXsummer cast went on kang xi and they Xiao S was asking about how they felt about competing against Corner with Love or something.. and Joe Cheng said something like.. Hana Kimi still has higher ratings... something in that nature. after i read that i seriously wanted to kill someone. hahahaha. anyway. i don't think the ratings should matter either, but it's nice to have a high ratings as an acknowledgment of a job well done =)

juz want to ask if there's anyone here who have the copy of the song "不懂我的心" or 'Do Not Understand My Heart'.. this was played during the first trailer of CWL.. coz i really like that song!

I've only watched three episodes, but i don't like it that much :/ i seriously think that barbie is too old to take on this role..especially after seeing her melo-ness in Mars. I couldn't stand her attitude in this series so i stopped watching any further episodes..

I don't think we should compare Summer X Summer and CwL head on, because it's unfair for either show. They obviously belong to different genres and each side has its own fan base. Well it's really damn true that Summer is not even doing half as well as CwL is doing, I believe every show has their own unique factors that will draw the audience.

Joe might be defensive of his own show, but any sane person would be. Even Xiao S has to say that she doesn't care, cause obviously she wants her sister to do well.

Corner with Love is definitely a good show, but due to the release of the DVD, ratings have not been as good. There are sound reasons as to why the ratings remain in that border, so fans should not be too bothered about it.

Personally I really like the show and I can't wait to found out what happens to them after Shan Dong's engagement with Xin Lei. It seems like quite a number have already finished the whole series and honestly, I am very tempted to read spoliers to know what's going to happen, though I know it's going to a happy ending. I think this show is damn touching, I can't believe XL would agree to wear the ring! Imagine the pain that QL went through ): I feel sorry for him! That said, I really think Xiao Zhu gave a splendid performance throughout the whole series; he showcased a different side of him.

I hope Dean Fujioka appears in the sequel, it was refreshing to have him in this series.

only 3 more episodes to go. I think i should stop watching it so quickly. This drama brings lots of laughter and tears. Barbie and Show Rock!!!!!
