really like this series so far.
xiao zhu's acting has really really improved - both his funny scenes and sad scenes were really done with that extra something, somehow that makes me at times think wow he can really act now. only some crying scenes it seemed that he was making faces rather than cry, and that's a little puzzling coz i know he's the kind that can cry in a few seconds.

but anw all his scenes with barbie were really good, except unfortunately the kissing scenes, coz u can see the both of them keeping their lips so tightly shut together! kind of spoils the moment.

love xiao zhu and barbie!

but people like (1) shandong - his acting SUCKS, he always has this blank look on his face! and the character gets on my nerves so bad too, (2) xiao yang - who looks super ugly in some scenes, (3) bi zhu - i think her character is fine, after all she's a "good character", but her acting just cannot make it, instead of looking like a innocent country girl she comes across as slightly retarded, i'm sorry to say

but really like this series anyways. for some episodes i was like crying through entire episodes, and i think that has got to do with the music to some extent too, which was well matched too

Actually, I love the kissing scenes, I don't see anything wrong with them...the only thing I don't like is that much of their kissing scenes are 2 simple, I want more romantic n intense kissing action!

they had 1 really passionate kiss towards the end though...

it depends on how the scene was set out, if u notice, in most of their kissing scenes, Show was always the 1 who makes the move, n usually it's unexpected, so 4 most of the time, Barbie's character was oblivious, n that scene were XL kissed QL was kinda unexpected 2 (for QL anyway), so u don't get that feeling of mutual expection, so it's understandable that the whole feeling of the kissing scenes were not as romantic as it could've been.

Da S Wears a Wedding Dress and Runs;
Covered in Sweat She Feels Like ‘Fainting’(Sounds Like ‘Getting Married’)!

Idol drama Corner With Love is entering into its final climax. To film the scene where she runs off from the wedding, Da S had to wear a wedding dress and run through 3 streets in the summer temperature of 38 degrees Celsius. She said, “Although it was not my first time wearing a wedding dress, but it was my first time running through the streets while wearing it. It was very hot in Shanghai. I don’t usually sweat much, but after running for awhile, I was already soaked in sweat.”

Corner With Love is reaching its last few episodes. In the show, Da S agrees to marry Chen Zhi Wei at her parent’s insistence. However she runs off on the wedding day itself, becoming a runaway bride. It was coincidentally July when this runaway bride scene was filmed. Da S. who has all along avoided the sun to prevent her skin from becoming tanned, had to run through 3 streets despite the scorching sun and humid weather. She had to run from the bridal shop to Xiao Zhu’s workplace, then back to the street. Because the wedding dress was too long, Da S had to hold her dress while running and almost suffered a heat stroke. The only lucky thing was that she was wearing sneakers which Xiao Zhu had given her in the show, if she had worn high heels, it would have been disastrous.

When asked how she felt while wearing the wedding dress in the show, Da S said, “The moment I think about wearing the wedding dress I would think of ‘fainting’ (note: it sounds like ‘marriage’ in Chinese), don’t think otherwise, I mean fainting not getting married! At that time it was very hot in Shanghai, the material of the dress did not allow much air to pass through so when I wore it to run under the hot sun, I almost suffered a heat stroke. Those people who didn’t know what I was doing would have thought I was crazy! Although to viewers that part was only a minute long, actually I ran quite a times to film it!”

Da S, who is currently in a sweet relationship, does not have marriage plans. However she had thought about adopting children. She said, “I love children, it does not matter or not they were my natural children. When I think about the world still having so many impoverished children, I will think about adopting one or two. As long as there is a child who calls me ‘Mummy’, I would feel very blessed and it is not important whether the child was my natural child. But for now, I have put my motherly love on Xu Qiao Niu and I don’t have plans to adopt any children. It would be best if Xiao S gives Xu Qiao Niu to me!”

I disagree, because they are all actors afterall, they understand not to mix their careers with their personal lives...that passionate kiss though was quite awkward for Show since he doesn't have much experience with kissing, however Barbie didn't seem to have any trouble with it personally, and there was nothing that mentioned Vic's displeasure regarding it. So if the sequel requires them to have more intense kissing scenes, then so be it, it's part of their job after all.

i agree, they r all actors, n they understand not 2 let their personal lives get in the way of their careers...i mean, even if Show n Barbie does have more intense n romantic kissing scenes in the sequel, they know it's just acting n itz part of their job. n i mean, both QL n XL r now an official couple happily in love, it would seem abit weird if their kisses r still so simple

No. You're actually right. There were articles 'reporting' such rumors. However, they are only such rumors. Barbie and Vic themselves have countlessly said that they put no pressure on each other when filming. It doesn't matter how intense the scene, as long as it is necessary, then by all means execute it. Besides, they're both professionals. No need to worry about it.

I think shadowhispers is right in that most of the past kissing scenes (besides the most recent one) appeared as if they just 'pecked' or simply touched each other's lips. Not as intense but sweet and simple I guess.

I do agree with mzdevil that there should be more 'passionate' kissing scenes if they are going to film the sequel just because it seems to be more appropiate since XL and QL will be an official couple by then.

right! i love that scene too, when qin lang ran after xin lei, and suddenly xinlei started to cry.. ahh soo touching, then they hugged, that scene made me cry, qin lang was about to cry.. (or already crying).. and i hate the scene where bi zhu threw xinlei's phone, soo anooying...

it'll be the last episode next week, i suddenly remember when i was just so excited for this to be aired and now were down to last episode.. time flies so fast...

Da S ‘plays’ the piano to express her love in Corner With Love with Xiao Zhu’s help

In Corner With Love, Da S and Xiao Zhu play the piano to express their love. However the production crew revealed that actually, Da S did not know how to play the piano and the beautiful piano sounds were created by Xiao Zhu alone.

Although Xiao Zhu had never learnt the piano, he self-studied it and after hard practice, he is able to recognize the notes just from listening the music and can replicate the song on the piano. In one of the flashback scenes in Corner With Love, it was originally planned that Da S and Xiao Zhu just had to pretend to be playing the piano. However, when Xiao Zhu saw the piano during a break, he got ‘high’ and started playing it.

Seeing this, the director asked, “You know how to play the piano? Play a piece for us to hear.” Xiao Zhu then performed a piece on the spot. As a result, the production crew changed their plans and turned off the recorded music, asking Xiao Zhu to play the music live instead. Xiao Zhu even said satisfactorily, “Those who have seen my concert will know that I can sing while playing the piano, my skills are still ok.”

wah...so much crying between the 2 leads in the last few episodes i'm getting addicted to seeing them do so. xiao zhu is superb...looking so sad with tears in his eyes. it's like...how many more times does da s have to break his heart? (i know she did it for his own good...but still...*sniff*) so...next week is the finale. i can't wait.

btw...i can't help noticing how much xiang dong reminds me of zai zai. ^__^ even the way he moves his lips when he talk was so much alike. it's probably just me. heehee...

the episodes of the china versions are much shorter, hence there are more episodes; 1 episode of the taiwan version is equaled to 2 & 1/2 episodes on the china version. i've also noticed that the opening and ending credits of both versions are different too.

Corner with love's last episode will be out this weekend. One of the scene in the ending episode is Xiao Zhu, being on the streets of Shanghai and vandalizing it by drawing there. As filming of this scene attracted a large amount of fans to crowd around and ended up blocking traffic as well as the vandalized board prepared by the crew looked like it really was drawn on the wall, even the police stopped by and thought that Xiao Zhu was really vandalizing and almost arrested him.

In the end, the police gave a sigh of relief as they found out that the crew only nailed a board to the wall and once filming was finished, it would be removed. The police also decided to help out since they were there already and helped the crew keep the filming area in control so that the crew can successfully finish filming.

This week, besides showing the last episode, there will also be a small section on behind the scenes shown and there will be lots of hilarious NG parts. The director, Da S, Xiao Zhu, Chen Zhi Kai etc will all go onto the official website of the drama after 22nd night's Corner with Love is shown to thank the fans and viewers for their support.

In order to match the drama name Corner with love, the director chose a particular street in Shanghai to film the corner and let the painting that Xiao Zhu gave Da S be painted on the wall. However, to avoid being sued for vandalizing in China mainland, the crew specially made a board and recruited the help of Art Faculty students. Even Xiao Zhu the main male lead also joined in to help and climbed up and down.

However, Xiao Zhu really has too much fans in Shanghai and the fans ended up causing the already very narrow street to become even packer and hence caught the attention of the police. When the police arrived, they for a split second really thought the painting was done on the street wall and immediately wanted to arrest Xiao Zhu, the on-screen offended. The misunderstanding was cleared after an explanation was given.

Corner with Love has received lots of good reviews and places that appeared in the drama are becoming hot tourist spots. For example, in the drama the museum that Da S and Xiao Zhu both stayed in before was previously listed as a historical building and not open to public.
