The ratings for CTV's idol drama "Corner With Love" has been pretty good. Recently, many faithful netizens are leaving messages on the Corner With Love message board. One of the topic was titled as "Such a coincidence..." A netizen said, "The name of Barbie's character in Corner With Love, Xin Lei, is exactly the same as the name of Selina, who is Xiao Zhu's rumored girlfriend, in Reaching for the Stars." The address of Barbie and Xiao Zhu's apartment is "69 Wu Xing Street. From that, the fans also thought of Vic Zhou since his birthday is on June 9.

The screenwriter expressed that they never thought about those things when they came up with the character names and address. It's just that the netizens are trying to link everything. It is a good thing that they put that much attention in to the plot of Corner With Love.

In the series, one of the scene talked about Barbie's boyfriend engaging with another woman. Because of her depression, she drowned herself in liquor with Xiao Zhu. In the end, she got drunk and Xiao Zhu has to carry her home.

During that scene, it seemed like Xiao Zhu was very calm when carrying Barbie, but it was actually a lot of work. Because he had to walk while carrying her, his hands were trembling after a while. Xiao Zhu said, "When I watched the edited scene, it was only a few minutes. I think the director is messing around with me."

After hearing Xiao Zhu's description, Barbie immediately shouted, "I'm afraid that the audience will think I am fat because of his trembling hands. I swear that I am not heavy at all!"

lol I think Show was just nervous, he was with all his other scenes with Barbie!

OMG! i just watched ep 2! lol.. yes.. call me slow. downlod it and don't watch it until now, but hey, i don't have to wait for a whole week till the next ep comes out... hehe! it's gonna be out in about 10~15 hrs? lol hehe..

anyways, episode 1 was funny and the acting is very good. the songs are too! plot is very good. somehow i knew that her and that guy was going to break up... but oh my. she loves him so much! was crying so much in episode 2!

right when she found out that she went broke, my heart.. was so sad! especially near the end! she runs away from the engagement party. so sad!

i can't wait till next episode! they meet eachother in taiwan. i bet you anything that that guy is gonna show up again in the further episodes... since he still loves her right?

you can totally tell that xiao zhu has feelings for her in the series, but he's making himself think that their relationship is only friends. no more than that.

i really want to try the ou wa jian! it looks sooo good. also vegeterian too =]

SD will eventually come back for XL and this 'love triangle' between them and QL will re-surface...just don't know when that will happen...probably towards the end of the drama

Corner with Love is so great !!! didnt disapoint me at all... It is even better than I thought... so nice and you can seee that QL is already in love with her ...

Love the plot so far and the acting is so good !!!
It is light hearted but at the same time you can still see some depth and some drama going on...

My favorite parts...

[spoiler]In the beginning when Barbie left her fiance and Show drove off and she started walking and he was driving beside her. Show sang her that song of his and later pushed her into the car and Barbie smiled...Too sweet!

When Barbie got drunk and she fell asleep on Show's shoulder and he was about to touch her face...Awww...

And of course when Show carried Barbie to her place...

When Barbie woke up and went to look for Show and she ran like crazy.

When Barbie passed by her ex-house and she started crying...

I also like the part when Barbie first came to Show's house and his grandmother came home and he covered Barbie's mouth and then they both fell and looked into each others' eyes and then later Barbie bit him and that made him bite himself.

And of course, the last scene where Show saw 'everything' when he tried to give Barbie some hot water for her shower. So funny! [/spoiler]

I can't wait until next week! This drama is getting too good and addicting!

hehehe, I haven't watched a Barbie series since MG2...but I really liked the plot so I decided to watch it the other day! =)

I was quite surprised that the series was taken place in Shanghai...but then I understand the purpose of why the PD did that. Anyways, I thought it was rather CUTE when there was this little map in the corner telling you where Barbie & Show was before the MET for the FIRST time!! hehe, props to that!! ^___^ I thought that Barbie & Show looked pretty cute...but I kinda liked the guy that kinda look like a mix of Vic, Wu Zun, and Jerry!!! & I LAUGHED so HARD at the part where Barbie made him dance that silly song!!!!

hehe, I can't really judge since I only watched like the first 20ish minutes of this series...but I really found that Barbie smiles seems a little fake... I know that she was supposed to be this SUPER RICH, SNOBBY girl...but somehow I couldn't see it. The only time I noticed that she was SNOBBY was when she told that maid to rearrange her clothes & the servant girl wiping that seat for her. However, now I guessing that she's the sort of girl that's is really snobby but to people she likes, she's really nice and everything... ??

Also, maybe I'm suppose to find out more about how Barbie got together with that Vic looking person...but to me, I don't know how they got together. I mean, he just bumped into her and saw her play the piano once time...and that's how they got together...?? Oh well, maybe it would be explained more later one.

Anyways, when I have time...I need to go back & finish watching the 1st eps. I'm thinking that Barbie is going to make Show teach her how to make Taiwanese cuisine...& their love will start to develop from there!! ^___^

I just watch the espisode 1 & 2... actually the story is not bad, very funny...plus xiao zu is really funny, he adds up his own jokes in the serie..

episode 3 had emotional and funny parts in it
at first, i told myself not to get emotionally attached to this drama, but i couldn't help it. shed a few tears as they said goodbye. the script for this drama is seriously, REALLY GOOD, and the music match the scenes very well, sets a mood.

the funny parts were hilarious, especially the end hyuk hyuk =P
show's expression in episode 3 are priceless <3

i can't wait to see more. cuz i know a LOT of funny things are about to happen cuz those 2 are living together XD

yeah i mean Da S's character gets on my nerves so bad. i mean seriously can she be more rude. she is so mean why does she want to kick the family out, i mean even if the house is hers she doesnt have to be lke that. xing lang helped her so much. he is so nice, i mean honestly if i were the ah ma i'd do the samething. but i guess i understand cause she comes from a rich family but still shes poor now so she better get use to it soon. anyways other than that the drama is super cute! i love Xiao Zhu's chracter in there!! so polite and nice. only if his character was real.

Hmmm...On the contrary, I LOVE her character. So sweet and sassy.

Since the beginning, XL is already suppose to have an attitude of indifference and nonchalance. Even though she's poor now, she will still not give up being strong and opinionated but kind. That's the character description for Xin Lei. And that's how Barbie portrayed her. Strong-willed and stubborn regardless of the situation. She doesn't give in. Maybe it was a bit excessive that she wanted to kick QL's family out. But if anyone was in her situation (your parents abandoned you, your fiance is off to marry someone else, you get kicked out of your OWN house), I bet they would probably be just as upset when they figured out that their one last resort is also taken. That's just pure bad luck. I'd be fired up too.

I don't pity QL as much because XL doesn't make him do anything 'too much'. She asks him to do a lil of this and that, but it's nothing too extreme. Besides, QL is such a nice guy that he gives in to XL's requests without any commotion. Also, we get to see him already smittened by her. Honestly, I think that's also the attractiveness and cuteness of the drama.

I agree with avo xl has nothing left but the house and if she will give in easily where will she go???

i just finished the first 2 parts of ep 3...

i'm loving every scene of XL and QL together....

I do agree that wanting to kick QL and his family out of the house is selfish and inconsiderate of her...but u gotta remember that even though XL and QL are friends, XL is used to getting her way, she is used to bossing people around when she was rich and spoiled...but now suddenly her family goes bankrupt and her parents leave her, she is forced into the sort of life she is not used to, she is still adjusting to her new life...though she is broke now, but she still possesses the attitude of a rich and spoiled girl.
If I understand XL well enough, she would not want to live in a house with complete strangers whom she doesn't trust, even though they are QL's family...but then again, she and QL have only known each other for less than a month! So they both are not very familiar with each other either...though I feel it's selfish of her to want to try and kick them out of the house, but it's understandable...I mean, any rich and spoiled girl would have the same intentions. But with time, I'm sure XL will change...she is still just trying to adjust to her new life.

I pity XL more because she has lost everything; her parents, her home where she grew up, her fiance whom she loves deeply...she has lost so much, and all at the same time! I can imagine just how hard it is for her to deal with...the old home is all she has left...I don't think she would feel comfortable sharing that with anyone.

I remember when the cast went on KangXi to promote the drama, Barbie said that there is a scene where XL gets sick and QL's grandma took care of her, it was at that point when XL really warmed up to her and saw her as her OWN family! The 2 women became very close afterwards...so XL will eventually grow to love and respect QL's family...she just needs time

LOVE LOVE LOVE episode 3!!!!!!!!!!! so funny!!!!!! of course, at the start, xin lei makes you wanna cry again... but then in the latter parts it's really funny!!! haha! this drama is really addicting and so good!!!

love qin lang's ah ma! haha you can tell she's really a veteran actress! ah da is also very funny! don't really like the other girl though. haha! dont like the way she talks.

i have so many scenes i love i probably am going to say almost all the scenes in the drama !

[spoiler] the scene where xin lei was walking and ql was driving along her side and singing that song again making xl smile! then xl said his singing was so bad. and then ql said that what's it to her if his singing is bad. xl said it was noisy! and then ql let her in the car and told her he already was her driver for a day, she has to let him eat now. haha! cute!

xl was drinking and toasting to ql wishing him all the best and ql said you've already wished me the best 800times! and then xl asked him why he hasn't wished her the best adn weren't they friends , and ql said he has wished her 799 times already hahaha! so simple lines yet so funny! then it was sweet how xl suddenly closed her eyes and remembered how he looks like... and ql was going to say he was going back to taiwan but then xl already too drunk.

of course, how he drove xl home with xl's head on his shoulder and how he wanter to touch her face and then how he carried her home...awww...and saying "goodbye, princess"

the way xl rushed to see ql coz he was going away not saying where though. and then how she felt a friend has left her and how everyone is leaving her. and she walked by her old house and then screaming in her head she doesn't want this kind of life and crying!

how ah ma was chasing ql around hahaha! and how ql lied that he was able to sign a publishing contract in china! and how he says to ah ma that it was the last time.

ql was reviewing her drawings about xin lei... like the part where he drew himself jumping around on the piano keys haha! apparently very happy. it was the moment xl played piano for him!

was touched also with her and xi xian's friendship!

haha how she met lian sheng quan in taiwan and they went to eat dinner. and the noodle stand's owner though they were kissing when she was actually helping him put on his contacts. haha! how lian sheng quan accidentally on purpose held her hand on the table haha!

ql and xl met again thinking it was their imaginations and they were so surprised haha! xl said that her dad left her a villa and she was on vacation and ql was thinking really now? hahaha! and then ql invited her to his home and then there they can find out where her villa is. and xl said that it's okay. ql asked isn't she lost? and xl said, no, she just couldn't find it at the moment hahaha! what high pride! and then ql said, fine and they said their infamous goodbyes but then ql rode off saying, "be careful there's lots of dogs out at night" and was making dog sounds wahaha! and xl was thinking she needed him and chased after him! haha ql was smiling all the while!

at home, xl asked who ql was living with. ql said ah ma and ah da and then xl said really? 3 people can live here in a house this small? hahaha! and ql was obviously put off and he said yes, it's big enough. and xl said that of course living in a bigger house is more comfortable. and ql said, so what? you were still evicted from it. and xl said to take back what he said. ql apparently didn't want to but gave in in the end. haha! xl then said, she still has a villa anyway! and then ql said that her cleaning it up will be hard! and xl said of course she'll hire helpers! haha! xl thought to herself, she will never lose to him haha!

they were staring each other down and ql loses!!!! hahaha! so funny! there were even some comic effects hahaha!

loved the part where ql was dragging her off haha and they fell to the ground then she bit him haha!

ah da was really funny coz he was saying he was part of the triad before and he was afraid when they though they had a thief in the house hahaha!

when xl's key turned the look the look on xl's face was classic wahaha! it was like HA-HA! sorry, it's my house haha!

and the way xl was blackmailing ql about how he was cooking oa jian in shanghai hahaha! so she could stay in the house haha! ql was panicking haha!

how xl described how she was connected to ql! it was complicated hahaha!

ah da was totally afraid of xl too hahaha! one look from her can stop him cold haha!

how ql persuaded ah ma to let her stay by saying she was the most kind-hearted person and she was always saying ehlping other is good haha! and how ah da was agreeing with ql behind them haha!

ql took her to his room and told her this was where she was gonna sleep and then he closed the door and then he was on the floor coz xl beat him on the head with a lamp thing! wahaha! and she was saying he lured her into his room so he could do something to her! ql was also scared haha! and he told her he was gonna sleep in the living room! and then xl said why he had to close the door and ql said he was checking if it was broken or not! wahaha his face so funny!

of course the shower scene hahaha! it was so funny how xl called to him and said there was no water and then ql was gone and she thought he left her there and she was shouting he has no heart, she's seen his true colors. and then ql has a pot of hot water and then he said to open the door and she thought he was a maniac haha and he explained that he has hot water and was going to take it inside! of course, xl can't coz she's just in a towel! hehe and she told him to leave it at the door and then turn around haha! but it was too hot and she yelped then ql turned around and she was accusing him of peeping! was funny how his face was like stuck in that expression wahaha! and then the infamous he's seen everything scene! whaahah! but so embarassing for xin lei haha! never really got irritated with xl ever! haha! coz i think that's just how she is. i think she's really funny! coz even after everything, she still has her high pride and i think that's what makes it interesting and funny haha! i don't think she's the type of person who harbors ill-intent for others. it's just the way she handles things. this is her house, naturally, she doesn't want people in it. hehe! of course, in the eyes of others it really is unnecessary but you just understand that it's just in her character, no bad intentions or anything! a princess really haha!

i don't pity ql much coz i think if he isn't really willing to do something he won't and with xl he does want to do all those things for her. which is sweet!

also love the part where he was going to take xl's luggage inside and xl was handing him her handbag hahaha! funny!!!!

Loved Episode 3 and especially Barbie, this is sucha far stretch from the little girl she played in MG, I'm so impressed!

[spoiler] forgot to mention, love the part also where ql was very hesistant to go in the house coz he was afraid his ah ma will get angry but ah da said it was okay. luring him into a false sense of security wahaha! ^0^

Wow! it passed 4 already! That's great news! the ratings only dropped in the first 15 mins, but then it continued to rise afterwards!
Ep 3 is definitely the best ep so far! so I'm not surprised that the ratings are much higher than the previous 2 eps! Hope it'll continue to rise! I have a good feeling that it might even break the 5 point mark!

i watched the up to part 3.. and it's really good.. i couldn't finish the whole episode since it's late ><
it's really sad, how she has to leave, and her parents are blaming her for ruining the wedding! >< so mean!

i'm so glad that she can remember what qin lang looks like. but how she said that everyone's leaving her, that part was very sad.

i hate how she went to look for him, and than she turns her head, and than he sticks his head back in from the window.. and also when she went to the ou a jian stand.. he was kneeling down sorta, washing dishes.. and than! argg.. if she had stayed for like.. 1 second longer! than they could have seen eachother! but than, didn't he call out "ou a jian!" afterwards, to get people to come. i wonder why she didn't hear. probably too loud or something.

thats quite good ratings. but Hana Kimi was 4.40 average. hope CWL's ratings will continue to increase until it breaks 4 and on.

it is only the third ep and already the ratings have passed 4, that's considered VERY high in itself, and the average being 3.46 which is still very good...HK has been airing longer and it's very popular too, so of course it's ratings would still be higher.

I was just re-watching ep 3 and as much as I love XL, but I have to admit that she is starting to get on my nerves sometimes, because her snobbish side has really shown through. I pity her for losing everything she had, and she still has a good side to her...but whenever she puts on that proud snobbish attitude, it does irritate me. I understand that that is just how she is and she is still adjusting to her new life, I still love her, but not the snobbish and proud side of her...but I'm sure with time, she'll eventually ease down her rich spoiled attitude once she has fully adjusted to the life of a poor working-class girl

I think getting 6 is a 'weekday' hit...didn't someone mention that the 'weekday' timeslots are alot more competitive? 4-5 would probably be considered a 'weekend' hit.

Ratings are not important, so we shouldn't make a big deal out of it...the fact that ep 3 broke the 4 point mark already is BIG news, I bet CTV is over the moon about it!

Ep 3 is truly the best so far! ep 1 was funny, while ep 2 was more sad and touching, but ep 3 is a strong mix of both! There were so many of my fav scenes, most of them are of course with QL and XL! and QL is definitely my fav character at the moment! not only is he such a comical and humorous character, but he's also a really wonderful and righteous friend to have! Anyone would be lucky to have a friend like him! he is someone who is able to inspire, teach, and change people's views on different aspects of life...he changed XL in a way that he taught her the 'true' meaning of friendship and inner strength to not give up when the going gets tough. I love him to death!!

in the past, she always played those poor roles, she was good at those roles to the extent that people thought she suits those roles and the image...but now for the first time ever, she's playing a rich and spoiled girl...and despite the fact that it's her first time, she's doing a great job, and she is really convincing me that she is XL; every aspect of the character, she's able to portray exactly how her character is suppose to be, this shows just how great Barbie's acting skills are, and what a versatile actress she is also

The part at the end of Ep3 when DaS is having the shower and Xiao Zhu is bring the hot water into the bathroom then his head gets caught in the door and her towel falls off is hilarious
also really funny how Xiao Zhu keeps banging his head into walls beams etc
