Sammul mentioned in an interview that he will start filming for The Academy 2 in July. I don't think they should make a sequel to the series. I think the series ended well and didn't really leave anythin open ended except maybe Ron and Tavia's relationship.

Yup.. I heard that Sammul will be in the sequel but Tavia and Fiona won't.. I really wanted Ron and Tavia to have a happy ending but it seems they won't..

i saw something in the chinese newspaper about them filming a part 2 to the academy.....i hope they use the same characters cuz i hate watching a sequel to something when they replace the orginal characters with someone new.....i personally dont give much about the others , i just hope they kept ah ron and that girl he was with in part 1....ah fa i think her name in the show was....they kinda left things hanging in the end of part 1

A sequel? But I thought that the story ended pretty well, I mean what more can they really talk about? But I guess I wouldn't really mind watching one as long as Ron and Sammul are still in it. Fiona.. I don't really like her that much in this show.. so hopefully they'll find someone else.

Tavia and Ron's relationship should be continued in TA 2 even though i liked Sammul-Fiona more. Tavia and Fiona are both already busy i think...

It's so not going to be the same without Tavia & Fiona. I mean no offence but the whole point of this sequel seems like a huge promotion for EEG and nothing else.

I want to see Tavia and Ron and Fiona and Sammul. I've watched TA more than once. Near the
end the plot made it clear that Fa was going to study in Japan and Ron said she should go for it.
Meanwhile during one training session it was mentioned that policemen do risk their lives and can
die. Fiona piped in afterwards saying well so far no female police have died. Sammul got this funny look
on his face like he was deeply disturbed. It's obvious Sammul never thought of what would it be
like if Fiona died. Poor guy just started to realize he's in love with her or crazy about her. Later when
Fiona joins him for lunch he stares at her at some point and she says why are you staring at me like that? Seems to me this is also foreshadowing what will be in the future for Sammul--Sammul will lose Fiona.
I felt so bad for him in TA that it just doesn't seem fair that his character would
have to suffer another setback. In the beginning of the show his past with his non-biological dad hurt him
so much he just hid his feelings, became a loner, and refused to show his emotions. These were his coping mechanisms when he was a kid seeing his mother being abused. Towards the end of TA he was
slowly coming out of his shell.

I loved the script for TA. It was very well written. Like some, I would argue that the ending left too many
loose ends--things that should have been said, time that Ken (Sammul) should have had with
Sing (Michael Miu) etc etc.

It's too bad that Tavia won't be in the sequel and Fiona only has a small role. I don't like the new addition of Sonija or Joey.

iv only started watching the academy so i dunoe much about it...but the first 20 chapters r really good...so i hope the rest of it would be good as well...but the stars already look good wit each other like fiona and sammual and Ron and tavia..the look like good couples...

i enjoyed watching the academy but hearing the different actors/actresses in replacement makes me a bit worried that TA2 will not be as good as i would like :S

im not really looking foward to TA2. Well mainly because Tavia won't be in it. I don't think it's going to be as good as TA.

The sequel has a different story and Tavia and Fiona are only have a small apearance in it: I watched it because of them. I don't really like Ron.. So I am not looking forward to it either. I am only glad that Kate has a new acting job! Because I start liking her (although her acting could be better).

lol it'll suck big time, i would even want fiona sit back in it even tho i hate her then replace them with new characters. fiona is now a police so..what the heck happened to her? got shot and died? way to end her story >.< the ending was great even tho ron and tavia didn't get paired but i rather end it at that then see him get paired with joey? ewww

I really hope the original cast to be in it....but I wonder how everything's going to work out because Sonija's going to be in it. I really wish for the original cast to be back, it would be much more interesting

I don't like the storyline of Sunny Chan and Sonija. I also don't like that Fiona has such a short and sad role in the sequel.

Actually, they shouldn't let Lee Sir died in the end. He may not appear in the SEQUEL, but why not they make it like he transfer to oversea to train the new cadet. I feel BAD for him, after a long more than 10 years time, at last he got new love affair with someone he has crush with in high school until now & also a son he know nothing about until the end (never heard his son called him 'DAD') b4 he died, he deserve to have a very HAPPY live if he's not dying. Then I feel bad for Pak Kiu as well, he been deceived by his stepfather (love & money, make use of his (Pak Kiu) love & respect for him just to get what he (stepfather) wanted.

As for Man & Fa relation, the barrier is only her brother, but since her brother agree to their relation, I think they should continue with sequel. Then Pak Kiu & Fiona relation, I thought it's impossible as well because Fiona come from well to do family plus Sammul grandpa work for the the family as gardener. But at the end, the relation also accepted by Fiona's parents. That's why I think most of the TVB series like to mess up the whole story. The part which I don't like is the ending part where Lee Sir dying. His dying make everybody(the whole cadet) particularly his son (Pak Kiu- not being able to call him DAD) & high school sweetheart (Man's mum) really sad.

uhh,i just finished watching the academy, i dont think there shud be a sequel. the ending was pretty good, except is was a sad ending, but different way of ending it. If there would be a sequel, they'd be in the normal police station, aight?

I feel like boycotting the show! TAVIA! But I love Ron Ng wayyy too much. Why the hell is he being paired with Joey anyway?

I hate it when they change characters in sequels. not only will the story be less interesting, the couple relationships would be messed up. i mean when i saw the academy, fiona and sammuel plus ron and tavia's relationship would be stuck in my head. now to see them ending up with different poeple is really hard and annoying! ah.....now i wonder if i should watch it or not.

from the sequel, it seems the loose end between fiona and sammuel plus ron and tavia's relationships is solved - meaning they don't end up together

i didnt watch TA2 cos i wasnt very fond of the new cast. i still misses the ordinary cast though. TA2 wont be the same cos michael miu is no longer there and he was the major part of the series. it would have been better if TaRo was in it and they revived michael miu (somehow) and added in michelle too. xD but my frens had watched TA2 and they all agreed that TA was still the best except for its ending. D':

i watched a few episodes and it hasn't got me hooked yet not like other series where I want to catch it all the time. Well see. Looks god thou so far.

My favourite parts of The Academy was the relationship of Fiona and Pak Kiu.... all the arguements and tension they had was what made the drama great for me.

This is a bit disappointing if fiona only has a small role because i felt she made the show funny and interesting to watch. One of my favourite dramas because of characters like her.

Sometimes i think the company should learn which are the characters that make appeal for the show so the great characters don't get cut.
