How many of you suspect your professor has something against you when you look at your grades? Did you ever think maybe he is prejudice?

oh i never had to suspect, i can tell.

when i was in college i should have read the reviews on this lady before i took her class. either way she would treat eveyrone nice, cause tehy were cocasian, but then when it came to me. she failed me. im like wtf?? she out right admited that this girl looks like her daughter, so she gave her the highest grade in the class. im sitting there like wtf? i have other friends who are minorities who took her class, they didn't know i was taking her then so they were all feeling bad for me because they told me that lady is so racist. and that totally killed me and my grade...i hate her. i went to another english teacher, handed in my papers to her so that she can grade it, then i gave her the paper which that racist teacher graded and my teacher was in shock. she didn't understand how i can have gotten such a low grade when all my papers were like B+ and A;s the ones that she graded, i didn't even change a word! all i did was hand her a fresh printed out copy.

even on the proficiency exam i got such a high score, she doesn't understand why i would have went to a C- by that racist teacher. so whatever. i hate her and i gave her a bad review. OLD WITCH!

my french teacher ALWAYS picks on me and he marks me sooo hard compared to my classmates!!!!!

He docked me marks on a quiz because I wrote with a capital letter.....
The girl next to me writes in ALL capital letters!! WTF?!

my gf was in a similar situation. Her professor hated asians, and hated girls, my gf is a chinese girl. You can guess how that turned out.

I have seen people get higher marks than they deserve because of their skin color or if their parents help out with something. But nothing bad like some of you guys.

there was this time in my grade 9 english class where suspected that the teacher had something against me. i'm usually quiet in class and i don't speak a word (only when i'm asked to answer a question) well she pulled me right out of class and said i need to learn english and she gave my this number to call a tutor. boy, i was pissed off (she was talking to a student who was getting a 94% average overall in all courses)

In grade 7 my old english teacher was a chinese racist. But she has to be nice because there's loads of us chinese students in her class..

just this year my 9 grade year. i suspected my english teacher to be racist towards buddhist people which i am buddhist.

I haven't hit college yet, but throughout all the schools, it was predominately asian. So, there were no racist teachers, but there were sexist teachers. Teachers normally preferred girls over guys...

well, i did have a funny experience. it's not really funny, in fact slightly bizarre but when i was in my home country form 4, i had a Malay language teacher who would promote anti-american feelings, and when it was known that i was moving there, he made comments about how he was going to attack the country and i would see him. I definately think that the school is the last place to advertise your political feelings, especially at such an impressionable age.

it seem's so that most of the racist teachers are english language teachers, but i must protest on behalf of my excellent past english teachers who if anything understood that english wasn't my first language, and instead strived to teach me the beauty of the language.

i had a racist teacher too, but one day during a "creative writing" piece i made this story which i used real naies ie mine and i made myself sound suicidal and wrote how my english teacher made it all happen newaiz she was pretty nice to me after that, didn't care if i broke the rules and always got good marks wonder how that happened, btw all works have a copy kept in file so they can review our stuff if nething happens

im in american and i think my english teacher is racist against chinese.. >.< she doesnt seem to like me and my other chinese friend.. =/ it kinda gets annoying

I've never had a teacher who's racist towards Asians but a bunch of people in my Biology suspected our teacher to be a racist. hahaha I found it funny because she's white herself and all the guys in our class said that she's racist towards white people, and sexist towards guys. reason being, her class is really hard and she's a really tough teacher, while being mean to all the white guys, she likes all the Chinese people in her class, (there were 3 of us).

yes my french teacher was a racist and a child molestor, i found that out 5 years ago when i graduated from high school and was on the news how the teacher got sue and was fired because of all teh complaints.

You won't believe how much times I went to him to get him to correct my test marks. Sheesh!!

I compared the answers to my friend (whose white) and I got the same answers as him, but mine were marked wrong!! I went back to the teacher and asked him. He of course corrected it (like he had a choice!!). But he still had to take half a mark off one of the questions because I capitalized the "N" in newtons... Geez man, did I kill your family or something? If I never went back to him for all those extra marks, I'm sure I would've gotten a "C". And I'm not the only Asian that this has happened to.

He also picks on the Asians, and makes fun of China. He's said stuff like (not to me though) "You should be shipped of to China, because they'll take anyone!" and he's also said that China has no roads!!

Of course, I never took Physics 12 after that...

many of my teachers actually 'favour' me... and also i work in a volunteer group but stopped because of GCSE's they alll seemed to favour me... maybe because i give the impression of "innoncent. clumsy"?

well... on the first day as i started school i did have my falls and... falls... oh bruises too ^0^

and i get really high marks and im the only chinese in my year so i guess they think 'chinese' people are clever because my brother is in year 10 and he's predicted an 8 for his maths and he and I, oh and also my VERY clumsy(worse than me?!?) are on the gifted and telented list ^-^ woohoo!

i got A* 's and stuff (except from maths) so i guess they favour me like that ^-^

i don't suppose my teacher was ever racist, more like he/she favored that particular group of people which pissed me off cus they would get a higher grade regardless if they do bad on tests, projects and i would have to work my ass off for that grade.

Has anyone actually thought that they should report their teachers? Why would you let them keep practicing their racist behaviour on others? Especially since some of you have such hard evidence.

yeah my english teacher in yr 7.... he ended up getting suspended for one whole year after some students complained a few years later... add ours on and weee... shipped off for a year and came back nicer.... but azns know he is racisist and just treats him badly....

bad thing. because my skool is like 90% azns..... and he shouldbe glad because it is the azns dat scores the best ot of the skool and gives our skool the high rank int he state...(we are top 10 of the state) so yeah stupid teacher!!!

most teachers just can't help but be nice 2 azns... they need to rely on us to get the recognition of being wonderful teachers with wonderfully smart students...... muahahaha!!!!

YES . there are racist teachers everywhere. let me tell you, so many are racist, especially towards us Asians. Seriously, just because we aren't white, they always look down upon us (or maybe they are just jealous of us ) ..

those teachers have their pets, and they are most certainly white. I have NEVER come across an asian teacher's pet here in Aus. Theyre so prejudiced.

Im just glad that when it comes to the big exams, we don't have to use our names, so the markers wil never know..

but then again there are those teachers who are really cool and un-biased. they ROCK!

well i noe there r ppl tat were older than me by a yr and they tell me tat the teacher is racist and also, she need ppl tat give her presents or else ur paper tat worth 80 percent will drop to a 70 and a 70 percent paper will drop to a 60 percent. and i was like damn lets hope me and any of my friends won't get her! lets hope she leaves the skool!

I would not suspect, I just take them as. Once me and my friends was late to class, the lecturer stared at us, asked us what's the time. I am sure we are about 5mins late, so i just smiled at him. Then he asked us, is it 'china time'? Where else when non-asian students came late, they just rushed in without being uttered a word by the lecturer. I am not saying that going late to class is right but not getting something like 'china time'. I can accept it, if he say 'you are late, please leave'.

yes.. but i dont noe if it a good thing.. like.. the teacher's asst lieks to take out a small group of ppl out of the class for extra help.. yet she never pick the asian people in our class -.-

Once my teacher said " All asians look the same" in front of the whole class. I personally don't think its a racist comment, but some others do.

ohh i had this teacher that was teaching swedish. and she is swedish ofcourse... whatever i did she failed me... once i handed in a work which my friend wrote for me and she failed that too... cuz i handed it in... he has perfect grades in her class... lol

Teachers are people and people can be rascist but the difference is how extreme they are. They can have the will power to hold it within themselves as most ppl can or ppl who choose to release it and be downright racist.

I want to know why most racists are english teachers?

My present english teacher is a hell of a racist (at least that's what I feel). She told me before that being new to the country, english would be very hard for me and that she's not expecting 80s and 90s from me. I told her that I love literature and all she gave was this irritated look.
So far, I've been getting 80s and 90s.

I have a question though, I do trust my teachers but is it really possible for them to mark somebody's work in an unfair manner? I just had my final exam in bio last week and to my surprise I got a really really low grade. What's disappointing was that I studied for two days straight and when I took the exam, I felt that it wasn't hard. I haven't seen my exam, all my teacher gave me was a slip with my final mark. Should I come and check my paper? I'm really hesitant to do this because I fear that I might just get disappointed when I see it. Also, I feel uneasy talking to him. He gives me this look everytime that as if I'm an alien or whatsoever.. lol

i had this subsitute that came in a lot whenever our own teacher was away, and every time she looks at me, it looked like she gave a dirty look and acted very strict towards me

like rusell peters says, eveyrone is a little racist. i was the only chinese kid up to grade 6, can't help but notice that the teachers were much nicer to the white kids.

I remember when I was in 1st yr of junior high, my language teacher was a racist towards chinese, she even had the nerve to criticize the chinese language several times to the class, there were quite a number of us chinese in the class and in her other classes, and we were really offended and upset about her comments so some of us complained about her to the principal, she was given a warning and then the following yr, she left the school...I'm not sure if it was due to us or if it was her own decision, either way, she left the school, many of my friends were really happy then.
This was many yrs ago so I can only remember vaguely about the teacher, all I remember about her is that she's european, I think either german or spanish.

u dont have to suspect..u can just tell if a teacher is racist..ive had a couple of teachers who were wicked nice to the "white" kids and then discriminated against the asians of black kids. in some of my classes i got grades that were lower than i shouldve when other kids who were white and never did anything got the same grade as me..i was like "wtf?" it really dumb i havent had many teachers like that but just a couple and it pisses me off when i do have teachers like that

Yup, my 8th Grade English teacher, he's quite racist against Latinos and Asians, one time on my report card in english i had : 97%, 98% and 25% like wtf im like the best in english in this class and you put me a 25%... And when i asked him he just said : Well... and just turned his back on me...

My latino just slept on one of his classes and he called his mother to tell her he took drugs lol was really funny but the dude was just freaking tired from a party we both went haha he drank too much beer unlike me...

Plus, my friends french teacher thinks the non-white are retarded, and there is only 4 white kids in the class lol. So most of the time, its like if she talked to a 4 year old and its true, my friend video taped a small part with his cell phone XD

all the time, pfttt, all my life... trying to pick one example. This is just off the top of my head, its a really small thing i just found it really stupid. My dance teacher was teaching the class a new japanese dance, (Im eurasian-part korean and english my teacher knows) so she said "oh! You'll be very good at this, you'll know all about it!" (i was like wth)
It was kinda embarresing, she said it in front of everyone. But that was a completely lame example i can find way worse ones, thats just the first one i thought of.

Yesh happened to me, sigh. It was like this... im a modest person and i wouldnt really praise myself or brag about how pretty my works or w.e is. I still remember these thanks to that gey teacher i had in 9th grade. Im a perosn that likes to draw and i was into manga/anime char drawings. The stupid teacher was picking on me like crazy cause i wasnt teachers pet like the rest. I found it lame to cook coffee for him when he asked for it. There was this one time we were supposed to draw a cat if i remember correctly, this one girl who is his pet/kissing up his ^&* drew something very simple, like the shape of a cat head. And I in the other hand drew something a little more complicated, i drew a kitty playing with yard. Guess what the teached said, "wth is that!?" i was like "..." I got like a G, which equals a C in the states (swedish school)He even told me how he wanted to set a F on me, but that i handed in works so he couldnt gimme that. >.> Later on in 10th grade my art teacher asked me what i thought my grade was and i said something very low as in C. And he was all like "what are you talking about!? You are definitly an A+" So i told him about my teacher in 9th grade, and that one teacher wanted me to write a complain letter to my old school. So yah i really hate teachers that have rejudice -__-

she was racist towards me and my friends and yeah my friends were asian too
but the lebanese / middle eastern group was always advantaged and yeah they never got in trouble while we got in trouble for nothing

I have little respect for many teachers that I grew up with. especially elementary teachers.

elementary and high school teachers are not the smartest people in society. Many of them are complete selfish idiots.

Now think about a high school english teacher. This lady (most likely) is teaching english to kids where english is their native language, and once a blue moon, these teachers have to teach someone where english is not the childs native language.

wiping my ass is a more challenging task than teaching english to native english speakers. (except technical writing, but we wont go there)
These teachers are spoiled and lazy with their job. They try to show off their english skills to make themselves feel better because they know they can't do any other job.

all you can do, in a situation like this, is play the game by their rules, and beat them at their own game.

I suspect it.. =[ One experience..i was in class and this teacher was covering because my teacher was off ill..She told us to give examples and put ours hands up..She asked everyone else to share their answer.But the most annoying thing was when no one else put their hand up but me and she didnt pick me instead she chose some other person >:(

i dun suspect them at all...when in high school...the teachers were really nice to me...and now i am in university...the professors doesnt care much what ethnics u are...it;s about how well u perform on exams.
