Faye Wong and Leon Lai are currently in Singapore to promote their new film, Loving You Leaving You.

Bird Flu in the region did not seem to have an impact for Faye's love for the famous Hainanese Chicken Rice in Singapore. The same can't be said about Leon Lai though, for he resisted the dish and settled for a sumptous seafood dinner instead.

Faye was so impressed with the promotional tour of the film that she expressed interest in wanting Leon Lai to schedule her promotional tours for her future album release. An elated Leon was quick to say 'yes' to Faye's request.

Hong Kong's queen of pop , or Wang Fei (Faye Wong) in Mandarin, will stage her solo concert in Beijing on August 28th.

Fresh from winning the Most Popular Female Artist Pan-Asia at the CCTV-MTV Music Honors at the Beijing Olympic Sports Center Stadium on Saturday, she met the media at a news conference on Monday.

Beijing is where the pop diva was born, and is also the 5th leg of her Asian tour this year.

The tickets cost from 100 to 1,000 yuan. The box office take has exceeded 4 million yuan, or about 480,000 US dollars, in the six days since it opened.

At the end of the press conference, a group of fans dressed in the singer's classic styles, which Faye Wong has used in previous performances, turned up to wish their idol a successful concert next month.

I think Faye Wong is such a great singer, I particularly like her Theme song for the tvb series Goodbye My Wife. I really can't stop listening to the Faye Best Album, as it it so good.

(10/2/2004) Faye Wong two nights ago performed the Hengzhou leg of her concert tour at the 60,000 seat Huanglong Stadium. Fans ignored the security barricades and rushed the stage. Faye Wong constantly came to the edge of the stage and shook hands with fans. At the end of the show a female fan leaped on stage to shake her hand and surprised her. Not only her fans, even crickets came through the air early at the show and stayed on Faye's head for a whole song.

Faye Wong's over a year long concert tour two nights ago performed its final stop in Guangzhou. Faye Wong's friend Carina Lau Ka Ling were among the guests.

The temperature was only nine degree Celsius and Faye Wong was shivering from her thin costumes. She was singing while rubbing her arms and jumping around to keep warm. Near the end of the show, Faye Wong said, "Tonight is very cold, the performance isn't that good, which is a little regretful; but this time I have had many beautiful memories. I hope it's the same for you." Originally the event has prepared heavier costumes for Faye Wong but during rehearsal the temperature warmed up and she decided to go with the original lighter costumes.

I don't think she's arrogant -- people tend to think if you don't talk alot then you're arrogant, which is untrue. She's just the type of person that won't talk much about herself in front of strangers, especially the media. She once said that she's afraid of strangers and is not the talkative type... this is really reflected in her concerts where she prefers to let her music do all the talking.

i still think she's a great singer. haha, it seems like most of the songs on the chinese series i watch seem to be by her. i love her voice and her music is one of my favs

Apparently, Faye is engaged to mainland actor Li Ya Peng -- according to the media, the couple is to wed in April this year, but both Faye and her beau have been relatively tightlipped about the whole affair.

I think Li and Faye make a good couple, and hope he treats her better than Dou Wei (her ex-husband) and Nic Tse.

A random question came into my head one day. The canto version of "Fragile Woman", is that a faye song? I was doing some downloading and Priscillia Chan's name appeared next to the song title. I got confused. Not sure whos song it is. If anyone can reply back, it would be great.

FINALLY, there’s some confirmed news about Faye Wong – but it’s not about her marriage.
The diva’s manager said she was on a ‘break of indefinite length’, during which she won’t be doing any work related to her career.

Faye, however, will still honour some of her commercial contracts.

On whether Faye would retire after her marriage, her manager said she just needed a long holiday.

“If you ask me how long the break is, I can’t answer you. It could be as long as one or two years. That depends on her,’’ she said.

But she said Faye was not retiring from the entertainment scene and would return anytime.

On the date of her wedding (to Beijing actor Li Yapeng), she said: “They’ve not fixed a date. If there is, we’ll let you know.”
