Denise Ho is awesome !! I went to Toronto to see her singing live this past week-end and she performed very well even though she had a flu. she's very talented; nice voice and nice flow. plus, she was nice with the fans and she's from brossard/montreal.. so mad props to her !! ho wan si ! ho wan si ! hehe I wished there was more fans of her on AF though..

The first time I saw her was at Sammi's concert too. I think she's a good live performer and her voice was rather powerful to boot.

That why Anita took her under her wing. Anita saw how talented Denise Ho was and accept her as a student. Anita once said she rarely take female student since she doesn't want any competition but she made an exception for Denise Ho because this girl is really talented. I haven't heard her sing but if Anita thought she was talented then she is.

(12/29/2004) Denise Ho Wan Si two nights ago attended the PLEASE VOTE FOR MUSIC concert with F.I.R. Ah Si even received flowers from a faithful male fan. When Ah Si performed IF WITHOUT ACCIDENT (YU MO YI OI) suddenly her eyes were filled with tears. She was choked up. "Because the song is about Ah Jeh (Anita Mui Yim Fong). I've already broken down before. After last time I don't want to cry all the time." Ah Si also said that because the anniversary of Ah Jeh's passing is coming up, a lot of memories have been brought back. "Earlier I wrote an article about Ah Jeh for a magazine. I cried while I wrote. My Chinese is poor and I took two nights to finish. It's hard to write it all. I have too many memories." Releasing her new record RADIATE (YIM GUONG SEI SEH) next month Ah Si expressed that writing letters is harder than writing songs.

I think she is a special artist with a unique kind of singing. I really really like her songs. I think it's sad that not a lot of people like her.

As Anita Mui Yim Fong's only female protege and by Mui Yim Fong's side for 8 years, Denise Ho Wan Si's sadness today was understandable. However in order to keep Ah Jeh from missing her, she has decided to properly continue on.

Ho Wan Si said, "The most valuable thing Ah Jeh has left me is her professionalism and focus. She kept telling me to give an effort. Each performance has to come from the heart. At the time I felt Ah Jeh was too intense, but now looking back, she was a superstar who was used to seeing big events yet she was tense about each performance. I was only a new comer! I just realized that her words actually are useful to me for a lifetime."

Out of all the gifts from Ah Mui, which one was the most valuable to her?

Ho Wan Si paused and said, "It must be when I won the New Talent singing contest in July 1996, when Ah Jeh gave me her golden costume from when she won the New Talent contest. Occasionally I would take it out to admire it, but I would never wear it because she belongs only to Ah Jeh. When I see this costume, I remember her hard work. How can I dare to be lazy?" Lately Ah Si has placed all her nostalgia on her music. She used Ah Mui's classic ALONE WALK MY ROAD (GOO SUN JAU NGOR LO) as a start, then wrote IF WITHOUT ACCIDENT (YU MO YI OI) when she told how she felt to Wyman Wong Wai Man and asked him to write it for her. Her favorite was the opening verses, "The trip is only several thousand miles, the clouds are curiously peaceful, reminds people actually that I don't want to lose you, yet back then I was unwilling to just have you" She said, "I used to be very afraid of taking the plane because I would only sleep on it. Now I long to take a flight because I have a very silly idea. Because the plane flies very high, it should be closer to Heaven. This way I feel that my distance with Mentor is closer and warmer....."

Ho Wan Si returned to the music scene with a sexy image. After appearing in a bra top at an earlier award show, her new record RADIATE (YIM GUONG SEI SEH) showed off her rarely seen legs.
Among all of the costumes, the black see through cool look was what Ah Si described as a shocking piece of work. She said that she never fainted when she saw the costume since she has never been so sexy. She tried to turn it down with an excuse but the image consultant was Chu Cho Yi, whose last collaboration with her on DRESS ME UP she was rather satisfied with. Thus she trusted her and the result was very pretty and very cool.

Some have said that her new image resembles her mentor Anita Mui Yim Fong. Ah Si said that she has liked Mui Jeh since she was 8. Later she even became her protege and was deeply influenced. Resemblence to Mui Jeh was reasonable but she absolutely did not copy her.

Denise Ho Wan Si's new record RADIANT (YIM GUONG SEI SEH) has been released today. The theme is a salute to the stars of the 80s. Ah Si worked with Ching San Band and personally produced for the first time. She has written many songs for the 80s superstars, including the late Roman Tam (Law Man), Danny Chan Pak Keung, Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing and mentor Anita Mui Yim Fong. Before each song's lyrics Ah Si personally wrote her feeling about each person. Ah Si said that she was the most sentimental when she wrote about Mui Jeh. "I really was crying while writing."

yea, Denise is extremely talented. she even turned out to be a pretty good host for the live JSG. her image in her new album "glamorous" are indeed very glamorous. she looks elegant and feminine at the same time, yet it's still very much "her". however, the best part of the album isn't her image, but her songs. i downloaded the album, loved it so much that i bought a copy for myself.

Denise Ho Wan Si host the program TVB JADE SOLID GOLD for the final time two nights ago. She was teary eyed and somewhat reluctant. "I am very tough, I won't cry. Half a year has gone by just like that. My performance has been passable. My biggest benefits were improvement in speaking and becoming friendlier with singers. Because I often saved them, they owed me a lot of favors!" Ah Si said in 2005 she can concentrate on being a full time singer. Chui Kin Bong will host the program with a different singer guest host every week.

The premiere of Seoul Raiders, sponsored by Christian Dior, was held yesterday night. Denise was also present to perform the song "Yim Kwong Sei Seh" and Seoul Raiders' themesong, "I am the present".

Dior's managing director, Pierre Denis donated HKD 110,000 for Denise to perform in this premiere. Denise wore a tight-fitting leather jacket and leather pants, with 4-inches high heels. Denise said that she had been jumping around for a few hours the day before for a photoshoot and both of her legs were really tired. While she wore the high-heels at the backstage, she had leg cramps. Luckily it didn't affect her performance.

Yesterday was Denise Ho's (Hocc) assistant TwoFiveBoy's birthday and her gift to him was a new model handphone, which made him very happy.

Hocc admitted that she is very stingy, but she is the kind of person who is willing to spend on others but stinge on herself. Even if she spoils her handphone, she won't buy herself a new one, preferring to wait for her friends to give one to her. She laughed and said that she was a very "cheap" singer, and would even ask for cheap things like stickers for free. For example, she went to a coffee shop recently and saw that they had some pretty stickers, so she asked the boss for some. She explained that the reason why she always asks people for stickers is because she has a hobby of collecting stickers. That's why whenever she sees pretty stickers she will keep them. The most expensive sticker that she has bought is that of Huang Xiaohu which cost her more than a hundred dollars. Anita's stickers cost a few tens of dollars, but Hocc says that all these stickers are very valuable so she is willing to spend money on them.
