agree agree i was about to say qiaoen and shaowei too! maybe it's just because they've been in the acting circle for quite a while. whenever i see qiaoen cry.. in ANY drama she films in, i feel like crying along with her

ARIEL LIN... her cry is very real. i will cry together with her when she cries. especially in the last few episodes of ISWAK. very touching although she doesn't really look good when she cries.

I've not watch The Hospital yet so will watch out for Jerry's crying scene.

Currently, I think Ariel is good. Maybe its because of her innocent face and the expression that she has got when she turns on he 'tap'.

As for male actors, I would say Shao Wei. During Ming Dao wedding when he shed tears while turning away. More memorable one would be in Hao Xiang Ta Hao Ai Ta MV and in AQMFS. It sure improve as he goes by.

yeah yeah, jerry yan! oh well, The Hospital is not an idol drama, and its actors and actresses' quality should not be compared w/ the TW dramas we know because they are not on the same level..
male viewers even watch this series..

that was a tough role for jerry to act, and he can really make the audience feel the agony his character is experiencing, the series is still broadcasting, there'll be more crying and painful scene to expect from jerry..

as well as from the rest of the cast..
janine zhang is the best taiwanese young actress i have seen so far..and i'm being objective..
she has a tough character too, and hunted by the past she feels so much agony too~~betraying the man she loves (jerry), getting abortion, and being not able to escape from the past~~gee, tough tough character~~

saya~~the part where jerry and her are in the church~~she cried buckets when tellling jerry what he feels..she can win Best Supporting Actress again for her role~~

it is between 2 actresses for me. Joe Chen, Ariel Lin, and Barbie Xu. All three can pull off a crying scene very well.

And for the males, I picked Shao Wei in WZBQW. He really can cry. Heartbreaking scene.

i don't remember the crying scenes in most scene but i definitely remember Qiao Qiao's crying in Mr Fighting and Top Of The Forbidden City. that poor girl have to cry so much and it was like real crying...

For girls i would pick Ariel Lin cause she actually cries good and its not fake and i like cryy with herr . and as for guys mike he all the way =) like in DBY when he cried while on his motorcycle after he told her he was leaving Qi Yue . omgosh i like cried my eyes out . and Vic Zhou is pretty good tooo . he made me cry in Silencee ( :

This surprise me too because the first time I watched Mike He job was in DBY where his character doesn't give him the chance to show how good he really is so I just never realized he's actually great, I just figured that the ones who kept saying he's just an hottie and he still is not a so good actor could not be so far from the truth.
I watched him in Love Contract and I couldn't belive my own eyes. Mike He is absolutly amazing, when he cryed I couldn't help myself but cry too

Jerry Yan in MG1 and Ella in The Rose....i feel sad whenever this two cries!!

Hmm.. I think there are 4 great female cryers.

1) barbie xu - she really is a good cryer, especially in MGI, I would always cry with her. Her eyes and nose actually turn red, unlike the people who only have tears and no redness, so obviously fake.

2-3) Sweety- Qiao Qiao and Yan Yan. They also turn red when they cry and from what I see on entertainment shows, they can cry so fast and so real it's amazing! And consider that they're so young and already able to control their emotions! It's stunning.

4) Chen Qiao-en - She's also really good at crying, I always felt like crying with her in RPS. She's a great actress!

I think that there are also 4 guys who are good at crying.

1) Hu Ge - He did so good in "Chinese Paladin" and "Till death do us part" - I always wanted to cry with him and comfort him. Again, theres redness of the cheeks and nose.

2) Wang Shao Wei (Sam Wang) - Did you watch that one KangXiLaiLe chapter where it only took him 36 seconds to cry with redness of the cheeks and nose? he's so good at acting too. When he cries he doesnt make a whole lot of noise and he always looks so sad!

3) Ethan Ruan (Ruan Jing Tian) - Ohh, dont even get me started! He did sooo well in GreenForest, My Home. He could always pull off the depressed and crying look when on the other side he was so good at being happy and satisfied too! Such a great actor!

4) Raymond Lam - He cried so well in Eternal Happiness. he turns red and looks sad, he's awesome!

All of these actors and actresses do so well. there are so many more great celebrities out there too! I think all the celebrities that were named in this forum are all great!

Well, I'd have to say QIAO EN!
Her crying are such tearjerker.
You know it's stage but it's so real.
When I see her crying I can't help but cry with her as well. That's how much her crying impacts a person.

I also have to say Gillian Chung but she's not from Taiwan.
Although she portrays all crying scene really well. You can see that she has so much emotions in her and it's believable as well.
You can't help but cry as well even though you have nothing to cry about.

I really like Qiaoen because she cries through real talent. I saw on a news clip that other actresses use techniques to help them fake cry. They pinch bite or do other stuff to make themselves cry and I don't think it's real talent.

Actresses
1) Ella Chen - did you ever see someone cry at anytime and so naturally? She makes me want to cry too.
2) Joe Chen - same as Ella

1) Ming Dao - every serie, i see him cryyyy

The best tear jerker there is out there in the Taiwan Entertainment Industry has to go hands down to Joe Qiaoen Chen. Not that I don't like other actresses out there, they are great at what they do in their own ways but I've been following up on Joe and her experiences and lonelyness in the Industry thus far and her tears make me cry a river because as she has admitted every tear that she has cried thus far comes from the lonelyness and heartache she has experienced. Thinking back upon those times brings tears to her eyes....and trust me unlike most stars out there who've had the way paved for them...Joe was the true underdog who has managed to capture so many hearts today. Being the only girl with two brothers, growing up a tomboy, winning the role of someone most likely picked on for being frank by nature yet sensitive and unsuspecting at heart...that is my Chen Qiaoen who cries from deep down a very beautiful soul which will always be mirrored through her eyes...thus the saying "The Eyes are the windows to the soul"

As for the guys...MD and SW are pretty good cause they are so mocho...and to see them cry or come close to crying...it does something to one's heart....

Sorry people, but jstars are the ones who brought my focus to be narrowed on Tiawanese Entertainment...not that I havent watched others...but I guess the firsts to capture your heart will always truly be...

For taiwan artists, i think that ella & qiao en are real good. Sam wang is also good. They made me wanna cry with them..

I vote for Qiao en and Ariel Lin...everytime they cry, i see, i also want to cry with them.

Joe Chen Qiao En's crying scene is WZBQW is really touching and brilliant. I cried along with her without realizing it in the touching scenes.

Hey, how come all people in here say it's either Ariel lin or Qiaoen who are natural-born criers onscreen? How about Ella? Even though we don't see her in many dramas, but in every drama she rarely accepts, her crying scenes are excellent. Go watch the Rose on youtube? Her crying screens are really natural and beautiful and was prized for her acting and crying abilities. She can cry in just like 5 seconds. I feel she can be compared with qiaoen and Ariel lin.

Qiao En enough said. I've always been a fan of actresses who can do all aspects of acting, especially the crying part. QE not only looks gorgeous, her crying looks real and causes one to sympathize with her. I'd say she's as close to "perfect" according to my own "crying scale" =P

Guys:
1. Ming Dao: He's a fantastic crier, esp in WZBQW! Even though most of the time, the tears don't actually fall, but when the way the tears fill his eyes and almost spill out, it's really very touching. Like in WZBQW, the scene where he tells TY "Shan Jun Hao is not a god, he is human..." etc, it was really heartbreaking.

2. Ethan: This guy was awesome in Green Forest. His crying scenes were very touching and natural.

3. Hu Ge: He was really good in Chinese Paladin and TWFX, his crying scenes were really very touching, and very real.

Girls:
1. Qiao En: She's really the best crier I've ever scene, her crying is not only natural, but she cries really prettily, if that's possible. And she can really turn the waterworks on and off as and when she likes! The Hao Ai Ta Hao Xiang Ta MV filming was amazing, she could just start crying in like 10 secs. When you watch her cry in WQBQW, you can just start crying with her.

2. Qiao Qiao: Like Qiao En, her crying is very natural, esp in GDTW! And seeing how she's relatively young, and less experienced, the way she can start crying like that is quite amazing.

It's definitely Ariel Lin! Her crying scenes are all so touching and heart-wreaking. Especially those in the TWFX. Watching her crying can seriously make me feel so sad and wanna cry lor. Her tears can keep flowing non-stop. Ariel really put alot of emotions into all her crying scene. But when she cry she don't look that great. Anyway who cares! When she cry, it's soooo natural and cute.

ALL taiwanese actors/actresses can cry. Which is why i don't really like taiwanese drama.

im going to have to go with ariel lin on this one. when she cries she makes me want to cry...its really touching....

QiaoEn (Wang Zi Bian Qing Wa). it's so touching and real when she cries. plus she's really pretty and cute. beautiful crying scenes. and i remember watching a video where she was being interviewed, and she said that in the scene where she was sitting on the rooftop with dang oh (ming dao) she didn't even have to cry but she cried anyway because she couldn't help it.

QIAOEN, definitely. the instant i saw this topic, the lovely and talented qiaoen popped into my mind. i'm not even kidding. she tops everyone! it's so amazing how she cries! she doesn't even have to try! even if i didn't like her as an actress, i would still have to give major props to her for her crying skills.

i can't think of an actor who i've seen who can cry well. it's just that when actors cry, most of the time, their expressions look...forced. i dunno. i think i would choose mingdao. there is this one scene in my head right now of him crying. it's from wzbqw: he's professing his love to TY while she is sleeping after she drank the wine with him. yea, that was a great and touching scene. made me cry buckets.

LOL you are so funny! But that is true....ever truer with kdramas though...sheesh there isn't a scene that someone isnt on the verge of tears or are crying...my sisters barely ever watch hence why I'm the only one in a family of 4 girls to be on here...though I don't neccessarily watch kdramas unless something about the series attracts my attention.

I'll hafta say Ethan Ruan, Ariel Lin and Yan Yan (in no particular order)

Ethan Ruan- His performance in Green forest my home is just fabulous. In hie crying scenes, besides being able to control his crying very well, sometimes it is his expression that reveals how good he is doing these scenes. A crying scene may not depend on how good u cry but also ur expression. Ethan delivers this very well. Even wen he is near tears, the audience may already shed many litres of tears. Its the way he performs that saddens the mood considerably. To be honest. I had never cried wen watching a series/movie b4 until he came.

Ariel Lin- Other than my fav actress which may lead some biased view here. She is very well at performing different expressions, including crying scenes. Her expressions changes soo much and she is able to control that. then when she lets her tears flow, ur heart already softens up and feels sympathetic.

Yan Yan- Her crying is very touching as well. but also she can cry so fast! on a show once, wen she was asked to do a demonstration of her cry, she cried i think was within 10 secs, LIVE. in front of so many people. quite difficult to do.

I don't really care if actors cry. Actually in drama they probably could have a "CUT!" before the crying scene and have them put on artificial tears so I don't find it that amazing that actors and actresses cry in dramas/movies.

My pick is QIAO EN!!! In this show promoting "A game about love" aka Rock Paper Scissors, that was crazy. The host ask Qiao En how does she do her cry scenes in dramas. Qiao En just said I think about when I was little...how poor my family was....etc. And she thought about this....obviously since she is talking about it...and she started to cry...THAT IS CALL SKILLS!

OMG i think QE and ariel top the list!!! ariel could cry all out and you would be like sh*t thats how I cry too!! and QE is the sentamental cry.... her tears and eyes could really touch your heart!

for the male actor, i think dicky cheung crying scenes are the best, it makes it seems so real that your tears are just pounding its way out. As for girls, let's see, i can't really decide, but i think crystal from chinese paladin. when she cry she still looks very pretty and cute, also ady crying when watch xiao yao drinking over linger. i also think that hu ge crying by himself in bed was a cute scene but he still can't top dicky. (i think dicky is a part of tvb, right, not tawan, in this case it would be hu ge.)

To be completely honest, I hate crying scenes. They seem overdone in a lot of situations, and I am not easily moved to tears.

The only time I have even come close to tears was for Mars. Barbie exercises her skill in two types of crying, the silent sort [when she was hunched over after people stripped her clothing] and the wailing sort [when she was fighting against getting raped]. Both moved me beyond words and I had to consciously think to not cry.

Vic Chou cries also very well. His crying doesn't exactly make me want to cry with him, but makes the viewer appreciate his heartfelt emotion.

For female actresses, it would have to be Qiaoen, Ariel, and Ella (S.H.E). They are very natural, great actresses.

I thought that Barbie Hsu was a good cryer especially in Mars. Ariel Lin was also good and so is Ella. All three being great actresses.

Good cryers for guys might be someone like...actually I'm not sure for this one because I can't seem to remember...hehe. Wait, I thought that Jiro Wang was pretty good in ISWAK when he was crying. You felt so bad for him and Vic Zhou was good too in Mars. He had more of a sad face though that makes you feel for him.

I think if you are a good cryer than you are probably a good actor/actress because to cry with good emotion and realisticness to it can be really hard.

For guys, i can only think of jiro wang. When he got rejected by XQ in iswak on the day he proposed to her, it make me feel bad for him. My heart really go to him. And i feel like crying for him.

vic is really good at crying!! omg ive never seen a guy cry like him!! that crying scene in barbie's arm in MARS and the one in the bathtub (well and a lot more) in silence...whoaa...1 of the 2 guy actors that can actually cry and break my heart.

I definitely agree with Ethan Ruan and Shao Wei (in aqmfs). Very hard not to cry when they did. Also, wallace in dolphin bay. Or maybe because he just had such a hot character that it was so !! when he cried. And maybe it's because I have a thing for 2nd male leads that loves the girl unconditionally.

But Ariel is definitely a natural cryer even though I didn't really like ISWAK.

Actor: I must say 'Vic' I love the way he cries silently. He doesn't have to build the sad face to make the scene sadden but whenever he cries he can make us sad for him and easily into his feeling.
