This Los Angeles, California, USA-based multi-ethnic rap crew joined artists such as Black Star, Jurassic 5 and the Roots at the forefront of the cultural and musical renaissance in hip-hop at the end of the twentieth century. The manifesto of Will.I.Am (b. 15 March 1975), Apl.de.Ap (b. 28 November 1974) and Taboo (b. 14 July 1975) is clear.
They aim to unite musical communities by serving up radio-friendly tunes while maintaining their hardcore integrity. Will.I.Am and Apl.de.Ap first met in 1989 as eighth grade students, and began performing around the Los Angeles district as Atban Klann. An abortive recording contract with Ruthless Records left them wary but unbowed, and after recruiting Taboo in 1995 the newly named Black Eyed Peas were finally rewarded with a major label deal with Interscope Records.
The trio's 1998 debut, Behind The Front, adopted the musical aesthetic of the Roots, with the three MCs rhyming in front of a live band that eschewed samples and scratching to create an organic, up-tempo groove. Up-and-coming soul singer Macy Gray was featured on one track, and repeated the favour two years later on the trio's sophomore set, Bridging The Gap. Sticking to their non-confrontational manifesto, this superb album confirmed Black Eyed Peas as the spiritual and musical heirs of A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul.
Black Eyed Peas new single Where is the Love has topped the charts everywhere. In Nepal also, on hitsfm top ten, it in at the number one position. Also in Kantipur fm chartbusters hosted by one of the Rhythm Brothers RJ Ashish, the song is at the number one position right now. Also it is topper in the billboard chart.

organizations to fight in WWII under the U.S.
flag. On July 26, 1941, President Roosevelt
issued an Executive Order calling
members of the Philippine Commonwealth Army into
the service of the United
States Armed Forces of the Far East . Under this
order, Filipinos were entitled to
full veterans' benefits. More than 100,000
Filipinos volunteered for the Philippine
Commonwealth Army and fought alongside the United
States armed forces. Today,
some of these proud veterans have yet to be
acknowledged and yet to receive their

Have you guys seen the Hey Mama music video.....I gotta tell ya, the girl (don't know her name) in the group has a kick ass body in that video......I loved her outfit and it looked very nice on her......by watching the video, I couldn't image she was short...i think 5'3". For some reason she looked a lot taller than I thought!

Actually the original title for that song is "Let's Get Retarded", but it's so very not PC that they had to change it for radio stations and basically everything except for the actual "Elephunk" album.

I Love all their songs and i totally respect their group. one of the few artiste who don't use much vulgar words in their lyrics.

I attended their concert in Philly and they were great. They really got the crowd pumping. They opened for Gwen Stefani and they blew Gwen away! Can't wait for their Honda Civic Tour this year!
