Full Version: auto-resize of pics

athlon
in case you haven't noticed, a new thingie has been introduced on the forum: autoresize of images posted.

It's not completely finished, but it works for now. It's just that our mods wanted this feature to be used asap, so... I'll polish it up later.

FOr now, when a pic is wider than 300 px, it will automaticly gets resized to a more appropiate size. It will have a dotted red border and you can click on it to view the full size.
You still needs to download the complete file though, so it's not saving bandwidth. It just helps preventing your screen to be all stretched out.

Here's an example:

Yes, I noticed this feature when I was in the S.H.E thread, I really like this feature, because over-sized pics are mainly the cause of stretched posts. Glad that u have put this feature to work athlon! clapping.gif

This red border is very ugly dry.gif Why not change the color , and make something more discrete ... sweat.gif

Why complain about the look of it? dry.gif As long as it does the job, then there shouldn't be any "problems".

maybe its to draw attention to people to let them know of it? i dont think it matters, since red is just red. i dont mind it. ^^

[athlon] - nice one athlon! i was wondering where that came from, because it was such a good feature(:

hmm i actually like this red ant line, just i dont like the big rectangle that sits on top of the picture telling about it being rsized. maybe cut down on the words?

Nice feature, however it doesn't work all the time. I posted a pic with width 700px. Sometimes it resized, sometimes it doesn't. =p
