Joe plays a talented pastry chef called 'God Of Pastry', Myolie plays his disciple who becomes an oustanding pastry chef herself under his guidance. The show will revolve around pastry making, love, family and friendship. Also stars Annie Man, Jack Wu and Bobo Chan.

NO WAY? Another leading role for Myolie and another supporting role for Annie? This is unbelievable, Annie Man NEEDS another lead role. This series sounds familiar to 'A Taste of Love', If Annie turns out to be lead female then I'll look forward to this.

It's great that myolie and annie can work together again. I luved them in Colourful Life, i hope they will play friends in this series.

I'm excited that myolie will be da main here, ppl just needs to get use to it i guess, because there's no hiding the fact that she is a rising star in tvb.

So i'm not bothered that myolie will have the lead over annie, but i am weary bobo will have 2nd lead over annie.

Sorry to say this, but I think it's pretty much a bunch of so-so casts.
I won't watch this for sure.
A bit waste of money and time to film this.

Joe Ma isn't overrated. He has been acting for quite some time now. In fact, I feel he should deserve some recognition by now for all the efforts.
I dont think he has chances to be the lead that many times too.

If you want overrated, try Ron Ng. That's what I call overrated pukeness.
He is so new and not experienced enough, yet he's given that many chances and promoted so heavily. It's not so fair to those who has been in the industry for a much longer period and good acting skills.

And no, I'm not a Joe Ma supporter, but I'm just stating what I think should be a fairer description of him.

Ever wonder why Myolie is always paired up with an older man? I think it's cause TVB think she is highly capable of handling the position of starring against a veteran. I think so myself too. Sorry guys, but I feel Annie is not suitable for lead, but let's leave that at another discussion. I just want to express my opinion that Myolie has the credibility to lead over most actresses (with the exception of the really top ones). With that said, I am looking foward to seeing this series.

uh huh, Joe has been in TVB for so long but havent got promoted but recently he did, way too much to me. Those recent series i've watched, almost ALL have him in there (Lady Fan, HOL, Summer Heat). Yes he deserves to get recognization but still, to me, he's overrated '

Like bao bao said, i think myolie is very capable in leading and history has proven that she can stand her ground acting along-side veterans. Tho i'm not a big joe ma fan, i do see chemistry between him and myolie as they have worked together numerous times already.

From the costume fitting, myolie looks more mature than her characters in TITS and DOC, thus i don't think the age thing with joe will be a problem at all.

As for comparing this series to Dreams of Colours, i do see similarities. However, like i said before, myolie does not seem like the same young and jubulent girl again. At least i sure hope not.

I agree. I think Myolie is one of the better new actresses who can actually act, along side with Tavia. Michelle was only medicore in Eternal Happiness, and every other series I saw her in (eg TITS, GF), she was too wooden and stiff. Maybe it's her characters, but I have still yet to see her improve before I can say she's a good actress. Leila was a total bore fest in ToB and Square Pegs, so again I have to see more of her series to make a further judgement. I think Nancy is kind of good though, but I guess it's because I love her in both TITS ans ToB, lolz!

Anyway, back to Myolie. I don't understand why so many people are against her! This girl can actually act! And she wasn't promoted immediately after she won her Miss HK title. She was playing minor characters in the beginning, and then slowly got promoted as she proved herself worthly. IMO, she deserves to be lead and and she's good at it too!

She was funny with Joe Ma in TITS, so I am looking forward to their chemsitry in this series!

yes, the plot of this serie looks like Dream of colours, but the context of the story is new, right ? never used the pastry as context. It's cool to see that TVB produces new series talking about different occupations. I want also to watch a serie talking about the entertainment industry, why not ? =)

I think Bobo Chan's acting is very bad. I hope she won't have a major role in the serie.

Another Myolie Wu series..Should be half decent. She usually stars in good series. Looking forward to watching this one.

Yeah, really hope it's not going to be like DOC. Wondering when TVB would make more interesting series like Justice Files, Healing Hands etc... Right now I'm watching WAB and find it quite good.

i don't think joe ma looks like a chef...... and moylie doesn't look like one either... bobo chan.. i don't really care what role she plays here.... since it won't make a really big difference...

Bobo Chan, Myolie Wu, Joe Ma, John Tang and Jack Wu were among the cast members from TVB's "Passion for Black Forest" filming a cake-making examination yesterday. Before the shoot started, Bobo, John and Jack were picking at the cakes on the set and Bobo reveals that there are different cakes for them to try in every scene, so since filming started, she has put on a few pounds. She laughs: "When I see myself on the screen now, I am worried that my face will become wider and wider."

When asked if she had read any magazine reports lately, Bobo immediately smiled: "You are finally getting to the point!" hinting about the reporters' questions regarding reports that Bobo's rumoured boyfriend Edison Chan has been on a secret date to Taiwan with Cookies' Stephy Tang. In response to this, Bobo did not seem bothered as she said: "It's not up to me whether to believe it or not. (Are you upset?) Why would I be upset? They are both my good friends and if they are really dating then that is pretty normal, that is IF they are dating because it might not be real. (Do you think they match each other?) Of course they do."

Bobo admits that she is in touch with Edison and when asked if she will be asking him for the truth when she calls him, she smiles: "I will not be so nosy and anyway, he gets asked about these things enough by the press. I know how it feels so I will not ask him again. (If they are really dating, will you congratulate them?) You make it sound like they are getting married! (Would you congratulate them?) Yes, I would."

This year's anniversary awards are under close scrutiny at the moment and Myolie says: "In the last year, I have only had 'Dreams of Colours' aired, so I don't hold out much hope for an award this yearm but I have four series in hand at the moment, so I hope that they will be aired next ear and I can reap some rewards of my hard work."

Myolie also hopes that TVB can add some extra awards, such as best script, best costume and even best scene so that more people can win awards and it can raise morale among the staff. She says: "Take the year I won the 'Most Improved Female Artiste' award, it was a new award and I was the first person to receive it. It was a great encouragement for me and now I still keep the award in my living room beside the televsion so that I can see it whenever I watch TV."

Joe Ma and Jack Wu were filming yesterday for new series "Passion for Black Forest" in Kowloon Bay for a car crash scene. Although the crew had already applied for a permit to close the road for filming, there were still complaints of obstruction from the locals. After the police arrived to understand the situation, they were allowed to continue filming.

Yesterday's scene tells of Joe being interfered with by Jack in the car and this causes him to lose control of the car and in real life, Joe has one experience of a car crash: "That night it was raining hard when I finished work and when I skidded on Clearwater Bay Road, I crashed into the side of the hill. Luckily I did not hit anyone and I was not injured, but the car was damaged quite badly and had to be towed away. Finally the damage cost $20,000 to repair. (Do you drive fast usually?) Sometimes I will speed, but not as much now. Allowing more time to get to work means I don't have to drive too fast. I have matured now and the laws are stricter and I will never drink and drive."

With the anniversary awards as hot topic at the moment, there is much speculation about who will win the awards. Is Joe confident to take the award for 'Most Improved Male Artiste'? He says with much assertion: "I have no confidence at all. I usually just see the anniversary as a celebration with my colleagues, winning an award takes into account many factors and I will not see this as very important. This award should go to Ron Ng, he is very strong now." As for the female lead role award, Joe is backing Kenix Kwok and Charmaine Sheh.

I like both Myolie and Annie, I do think that Myolie does deserve this lead role but it's just not fair for Annie. Her acting is pretty good and not talking about how many fans she has. How come TVB doesn't give her a lead role? She has a lot of experiences since she's in the film industry when she was a teenager.

Annie shouldn't have a smaller role than either Myolie or Bobo...she is such an awesome actress, why can't TVB recognize her talent?!!! Bad people are being promoted heavily while the talented gets barely any attention!!!

Myolie Wu, Joe Ma and Heidi Chu were filming in the airport departure hall earlier for "Passion for Black Forest" earlier and Myolie responded to suggestions that she had upset the director, resulting in her having to film a wet scene for five hours, saying that this scene was the hardest that she has ever had to film, but it was not a horrible trick by the director. She says: "It was only for three or four hours and although it was quite hard work with my whole body soaking wet and having to roll on the ground, it was necessary for the storyline and I knew about it a long time ago, so it is nothing to do with anyone getting upset. The company had arranged for a body double to take my place. The magazines are always writing rubbish and I am used to it so I just laugh it off."

As for the rumours that she had fallen out with Joe, Myolie immediately says that they have been for dinner together and Joe always takes her to eat many different things and afterwards, even their kissing scenes were not awkward. Joe also supports Myolie, saying that this news is purely entertainment. Mentioning a scene where a six year old child actor has to hug Joe and cry, Joe says that this young actor was very good and could cry as soon as the shoot started. His own son is just a few years old, but he has not thought about allowing him to act.

Joe Ma doesn't strike me as a convincing chef.... His model, svelte looks apply better as policeman, pilot, or businessman.... Heheh Bobby Au would be the quinessential chef....

Btw what does Gateau in the title mean? French for...? A lot of TVB titles for 2005 are so nondescript, doesnt'[ say much about the show.
