We all keep hearing about his friends making fun of how short he is so I figured I'd come on AF and check his bio out to see how tall he is. To my suprise he doesn't even have a page! So I decided to start one I'll upgrade with some Bio stuff tomorrow. Well I would have to say hes the best host in HK for any program, wether it be hosting Miss HK, TVB Anniversary or a charity event. I think everyone whos looking at this page right now would have to agree with me that his best is Super Trio.

Started his own production company with Alan Tam called 'Alan and Eric Films Limited'

He has done over 135 movies so I dont even know where to start. Most of his comedy movies were back in the late 80s to early 90s. Feel free to add to this page guys.

JSG Awards 2006: Fourth Time Pop Queen Joey Yung Overcomes Differences with Eric Tsang by Sharing a Hug
The Jade Solid Gold Awards 2006 were held on Friday at the Hong Kong Coliseum, where 45 awards in 17 categories were handed out to Hong Kong's singers and musicians. The highlight of the ceremony was when the Most Popular Male and Female Singers award winners were revealed. Despite her recent wave of gossip, Joey Yung took the female award four the fourth year running and she cried as she thanked her supporters and added the word "Sorry!". Eason Chan beat Leo Ku once again to take the Most Popular Male award, whilst Andy Lau and Kelly Chen took the Asia Pacific awards once again, this being the sixth time for Kelly, who seemed a little disinterested in her award. The Golden Song award went to Leo Ku for his song "Loving too Late". Having just changed her record company, Miriam Yeung left empty-haneded and TVB Godson Hacken Lee received just one award for a top ten song.

At the beginning of the show, Master of Ceremonies Eric Tsang started by talking about his feelings towards this years awards. He felt that the awards ceremonies of recent years have shown fewer and fewer outstanding performers, especially as many of the more experienced singers announcing their withdrawl from the awards systems and other singers not making an appearance if they are not receiving an award, this has resulted in the smallest turnout that he has ever seen. He says passionately: "People say if they don't attend, they won't win, but this is only because the organisers don't want it to be collected by anyone else and not because they don't want to give the award. Several years ago, Faye Wong once said that she hoped for the music industry to have less gossip and more good songs, I feel that we should be promoting less pettiness and more participation, this can only make the music industry a more star-studded show." After showing his support over the years for the awards ceremonies, Andy Lau feels that there is no issue of fairness or unfairness amid the current awards scene, just regulation and non-regulations. For him, he just takes part with a happy heart. He says: "Awards have brought me a lot of fame, fortune and fans, so because of this, I continue this insistence. I hope you do not think I am becoming more and more thick-skinned and continue to support me." When the singers took their seats at the show, Eric made a joke of their seating arrangements.

Joey has been faced with allegations of copying an outfit and earlier had some confrontations with Eric Tsang. As she performed her song "Beautiful Encounter", she could not hold back the tears and later when she was presented with her award, she started crying again and in the audience, her manager Mani also cried for her. She said hysterically: "Thank you to the friends who have supported me, I will keep on working hard. For making so many people worry about me, I am very sorry." During her song, she hugged Denise Ho, Miriam and Kelly, but when she faced Eric, they stared at each other for a while before Joey gave him a hug as well. When Alan Tam announced the winner of the award, he was showing his support for Kelly and Miriam and did not say anything about Joey at all.

Eason beat Leo to the Male Singer award and seated beside him, Leo seemed a little stunned before congratulating him. Paco Wong (Leo's manager) was expressionless off stage. Leo was later awarded the Golden Song award as something of a consolation. As it is the 25th Anniversary of Jade Solid Gold this year, a special award was also presented for the 25th Anniversary Honourary Golden Song and from the many Golden Songs of the past, Alan Tam's "Love Trap" was chosen as the winner. Alan wore some golden framed sunglasses onto the stage and when Eric saw this, he joked: "What are you doing? Are you frightening me? After the blessing ceremony this afternoon, where did you go? Did you for a facelift?" Alan raised the award and said: "Do you want to be hit?"

Andy and Justin Lo both took 4 awards each, making them the big winners on the night. Justin took a top ten song award for "Love Song" and he was surprised as he said: "Why me? Again?" He says that he has watched the footage from previous JSG awards ceremonies and saw Anita Mui and Leslie on the same stage, so he feels honoured to be able to share this stage with them. Eric also revealed that Andy had said to him in secret that if he took the Asia Pacific award, Male Singer and Golden Song Awards, then he would have announced his wedding on the stage!

After all the animoscity between Eric and Joey, he seemed to have toned down his act a lot at the show and on two occasions, referred to Joey as 'Big Sis Joey'. When Hacken and Joey presented the award for Best Outstanding Performance, Hacken stood between Joey and Eric and Eric laughed: "What are you standing between us for? It's nothing to with you!" Then he went over to Joey, bowed to her and said: "Big Sis Joey, you look beautiful tonight!" making her nod and smile.

When Eric asked Hacken to talk about his favourites, Hacken continued the jokes and said: "I am just here to mediate the situation, let's just go to the results." The jokes continued as Lui Fong and Lam Man Chung presented their awards and Man Chung could not help but joke about the incident again, making Eric want to hit him. Later, when TVB Executive Stephen Chan went onto the stage, Joey and Eric were on together again and Stephen asked them directly if they had fallen out. Eric replied continually: "What do you think? What is wrong? (So shake hands.) That is very superficial, we have already shaken." In the end, Eric approached Joey for a handshake and said: "Big Sis Joey, there is nothing now." Joey just smiled throughout and did not say anything at all. Eric continued to compliment her when her song was announced, naming her as My Most Admired Singer.

In the show, Bosco Wong did a martial arts performance. During the time he was boxing, he accidentally let the boxing bag's material fly out and hit his hand. He will need to undergo some minor treatments for his injury. As for Angel Sung (宋芝齡), she did a performance where she had to break the ice and accidentally reveal herself. Eric Tsang also got hit by the broken ice pieces, thus causing him to fall to the ground. At the time he was hit, he immediately blurted out some cuss words. ”Super Trio Supreme” Receives Nine New Complaints
Loses 310000 Viewers

Credits: Serena @http://asian-gossip.blogspot.com/
Source: MingPao

Eric Tsang hosted “Super Trio Wonder Trip” and the first episode received 54 complaints and the second episode had 22 complaints. On March 23, the third episode received nine new complaints including six complaints sent to the broadcasting authority and three sent to TVB. The complaints mainly state that the games such as removing nose hair, 夾衫夾, and 彈乒乓波 promote violence, cruelty, and dangerous behaviors. It also makes people uneasy and affects the children which make it unsuitable to be broadcasted in the current time slot. The average ratings were 26 points for the third episode. It lost five points since the second episode which translate to 315000 less viewers.

Last night, Eric filmed a new episode for “Super Trio Supreme”. The guests were Freeze, Elanne Kwong, Ken Wong, I Love You Boyz, Fama and others. Freeze, “The Sexy Trio” aka “Plastic Surgery Beauties/Trio”, was the target of pranks and jokes. They were made fun of for their “fake large breasts”. They didn’t mind the jokes. During the game 大咕窿, Freeze revealed their white bikini and gave the audience some eye candy. They were pushed into the water by Eric. Ken was given some special treatment because he was able to hug and kiss the members of Freeze. He was very lucky with the ladies.

Ken had to carry all three members of Freeze using his body. He kissed Alley Chan and Carisa Yan. They joked: “You’re getting these benefits since you are one of us!” Ken said: “Real good recommendations but my legs are sore!” Ka-Lok Chin said: “My eyes are also sore!” Elanne let go her image as a singer and was absorbed in the game play.

Freeze said that they didn’t feel like they were targeted. They said that Eric was being gentle with them. As for the “fake big breasts” comment, Alley and Suki Shek had a relatively immense reaction. They said: “It’s real! But it was most important that everyone had a good time. Don’t mind it. We were ready to risk everything since the first day.” Ken replied to comments that he was lucky with the ladies and said: “Guess so! I didn’t bribe the host. They are good friends and brothers. I’ll remember them for the rest of my life.”

Sonija Kwok Admits That She’s Old Not Afraid of Tabloid Stories

Last night, Hong Kong Baptist University held the “第6屆華語大學生影視獎”. They invited Eric Tsang, Sonija Kwok, Bernice Liu, Karena Lam, Andrew Lau, Stephan Chen and others to be guest presenters. Sonija has not filmed a movie since her last movie invested by her tabloid boyfriend Chen Guo Qiang (陳國強). The reporter asked if she would be working with Chen Guo Qiang again. She said that she does not have a contract with him anymore. It would depend on the company if she would be working together again. The reporter asked if she is afraid of rumours starting again if she worked with him again. Sonija responded: “I don’t think I would be because I am old now.”

The TV series “D.I.E”, which she was a part of, peaked at 44 points. Sonija expressed her joy and the cast are thinking about pooling money together to have a celebration dinner. She hopes to have a sequel for that series because they have a hilarious cast. Everyone was very happy when they were working together. Before the series broadcasted, her image was in a nosedive. The reporter asked if she has confidence in herself now that the series has such high ratings. Sonija said: “I didn’t think about that. Those things are in the past now. I just want to do a good job.”

Eric expressed that he has received a lot of movie scripts after he was voted as the “Spotlight Person” in the Hong Kong Film Festivals. He has been reading day and night. All the script hopes to have in on board as a producer or help invest in the film. He amusingly said: “A lot of people want me to be a guarantor.” He is helping a new director in Taiwan to start filming a movie.

Bernice has filmed three movies but feels that she is still new to the business. The reporter asked if she would mind appearing before others in a sexy manner. Bernice said that she is grown up and hopes to film different types of movies. If the script requires it, she wouldn’t mind.

Macau and Hong Kong are separated by water. We are in Hong Kong but separated by TV stations.” Jerry responded: “We are all supporting the Olympics.” Then they both sang the “Super Trio” theme song to welcome Eric onstage. Eric said: “This is the difference between a partner and someone who is no longer your partner.” Jerry said that he is in awe when he faces Eric and it hasn’t changed. Bernice Liu came out to play games. She slipped down the stairs because she was too excited. Luckily the MC reached out in time to help her out. She was able to catch a piece of toast with Bosco Wong using their cheeks. But they joked and wonder if she would have done better with her tabloid boyfriend Moses Chan. She laughed out loud and didn’t answer the question.

Eric Tsang apologized for his swearing

Yesterday Eric Tsang, Louis Yuen , Carol Chin and Angela Tong were visiting a day centre to celebrate the dragon boat festival activities. Earlier on there were lots of gossips around Eric in the Artists 512 fund raising campaign. He reckoned the fund raising event has united the artists from all areas. He took this opportunity to apologize that he was drunk , that 's why he was so rude and swearing after the party. He was sorry that all the gossips were pointed at him because of his bad behaviour. As a result he got into trouble with 寰亞 boss林建岳 who happened to be at the table next to him. He has not seen 林建岳 but he would contact him to clear the misunderstanding.

Eric said it was a difficult task to arrange 500 artists in the campaign . He wanted this to be fair and show unity and support for the campaign. Adam Cheng and Cheung Ming Mun had chose their own songs. Unfortunately, Hacken Lee was not happy about not able to perform his own song " Red Sun" which was given to a group of DJs to sing instead. Eric said Alan Tam was not impressed with Hacken's narrow minded behaviour as he was only there for such a short time, shouldn't make such a big fuss.
Some reporters reported Andy Lau took a lot of credits from other appeals performances. Eric hoped that the media will stop to exaggerate minor things in the future. He thanked all the artists for their contributions to this event.

Bhutan’s Prince helps Carina Lau and Tony Leung prepare for their Wedding

Tony Leung and Carina Lau have chosen to have their wedding in Bhutan which is a less well known country. Earlier Eric Tsang had arranged for Bhutan’s prince and the couple to have dinner together. There is a high chance that the royal member will attend their wedding.

The couple have chosen Bhutan as the destination for their wedding, as it is peaceful. The Bhuntan Prince will be helping them prepare for the wedding including the issuing of guests visa’s.

Last night, during an interview with TVB, Nat Chan suddenly exposed that Eric Tsang invited the Bhutan prince for dinner and Carina Lau was a guest of honour. The reporter phoned Eric to ask for more details. He admitted and said “Yes it was me who introduced them because after I knew they decided to get married in Bhutan, I immediately arranged for the Bhutan prince to have dinner with them. The prince often comes to Hong Kong and I have known him for many years. When the prince got married he also invited me to his wedding. “ Asked Eric whether the Bhutan prince will attend the wedding? He did not admit but did not deny “I do not want to say too much about their wedding, yet I shouldn’t say too much. “ It is reported that the Bhutan Prince will be attending their wedding.

Eric Tsang Too Busy cannot attend

The couple’s wedding will be held at Bhutan Uma Paro hotel. Eric says “This hotel belongs to the Bhutan prince. Too bad that I am too busy and cannot attend their wedding or help them prepare. “ ( By introducing them to Bhutan’s prince is their biggest gift) “Haha, yes that’s right.” But Eric stated he will no longer mention about their wedding and quickly hung up.
Having the Bhutan prince help prepare for their wedding, no wonder the couple appeared to be more relaxed. They arrived in Thailand last night. After having a shark fins meal, they headed back to the hotel to rest. Afterwards, at 3am they got the next flight to Bhutan. Not only have they planned to have a low profile wedding but also avoiding the paparazzi’s as much as they can.

False Move to avoid the paparazzi’s

At 3am, the paparazzi’s were waiting outside the hotel. At this time the hotel arranged a large group of Security to guard the hotel. Even the local police were involved and guarded the place by forming a line. They put up ropes to bar the paparazzi’s from crossing the area. But actually all this was a false move, because after the security removed the ropes, the couple had already left the hotel by the back door.

The reporters rushed to the Thailand airport and caught the couple there. The couple who were not able to avoid the paparazzi’s accepted taking pictures and all the questions were handled by Carina. (Asked how the layout of the wedding would be? ) “That will be arranged by Cheung Suk Ping. Most important is that it's beautiful. “ (Why did you choose Bhutan? ) “A Buddhist country, Serious and peaceful. “ (Did you order the Wedding cake in Thailand?) “The cake was chosen by me, it’s very pretty.” (When you arrive at Bhutan, what will you prepare first?) “The furnishings.” (Is the wedding going to be held on the 21st of July?) “Almost”.

Earlier, Carina went to Roger Vivier’s store and brought a pair of high heel shoes, that will be worn on the wedding day. They will be sent by air to them in Bhutan. Roger Vivier was a French fashion designer who's best known creation was for the Stiletto heels.

Eric Tsang denied losing half of his family assets
Tuesday November 18, 2008 Hong Kong
Source: Takungpao, The Sun (images)
Translated by: aZnangel @ http://asianuniverse.net/forums

Eric Tsang has been very unlucky these days. Earlier on he had an interviewed with Jacky Cheung who got him to admit that he had lost a lot of money through the stock market crush. In fact he was reportedly lost half of his entire family assets. He was in the gossip column again yesterday. Eric has invested in a company called " Beijing Open brokers for the Performing Arts Co., Ltd." in Beijing. There was an inquiry in recent days that a lot of his artists had terminated their contracts with his company. One of the former employees was concerned that Eric was kept in the dark about the mismanagement of the company. In fact the company is just a shell and the company hasn't been paying the wages of the employees either. Eric was kept in the dark about all these.

Speaking about losing half of his asset, Eric responded "No that much! Don't listen to Jacky. This is nothing, we all lose out not only me." Talking about his company in Beijing, he did have a few famous artists signed up with his company, such as Liza Wang, Law Ka Ying,Michael Mui as well as some mainland artists like Lau Siu Fung and Leung Jing. An ex employees disclosed that he was owed $10,000 wages and the company takes $30% commission leading to some artists requesting to terminate their contracts. Eric didn't know anything about that either.

Eric issued a statement yesterday about the recent report. He denied the company was running into difficulties. He hoped the damming report will not affect the reputation of the company.

Eric Tsang: Good job Jacky has lost money

Earlier on in an interview Jacky Cheung got Eric to admit that he had lost a lot of his assets following the market crunch, Eric responded "He is imagining it. Our greatest financial loss was in 1964 when we bought 14 houses in Macao. That was a bad investment. (How much did you lose?) Not as much as Jacky. He was richer than me. He made a few 7 figure sum in one single concert. I have to do a lot of movies for that. He goes on tour once, he earned more than I earn in a life time. ( Are you worried about how much money he has lost?) He is so rich, he will get the money back by singing a few more songs. The positive thing that comes out in a recession is the singers are all coming back. There is no need for them to talk about retirement at all. It is everybody's fortune that Jacky is making a come back. It is a good job he lost money, otherwise we won't hear him sing again."

Liza Wang's On Water Hip Hop Dance had the best response

Although this year Liza Wang lost out in the TVB Anniversary Awards, but last night she saved her pride (face). Last night the 41st TVB Anniversary Gala was held, Liza performed a hip hop dance on water with many other "kids" (TVB young artistes). Liza's performance seem to have been better than Charmaine Sheh and Kevin Cheng's touching performance, which viewers thought was not like as anticipated.

To celebrate TVB's 41st birthday, 132 TVB artistes came in ancient-western costumes and did many stage performances. Although Liza did not get any awards this year, but she made a comeback in her hiphop on water performance. Liza was the first to come out and danced solo, followed by an "in water hip hop dance" with other TVB artistes who had little clothing on, such as Kate Tsui and Grace Wong. But the group of young Fadan and Siu Sang were all brave enough to do "male on top, female on bottom" moves and the female would "roll" on the male's pants. Definitely challenging the scale of TV!

Wong Cho Lam's performance, can't stop laughing

61 year old Ah Jie (Liza) copied Aaron Kwok's concert in wetting herself and did hip hop dancing on water, but seem to went off beat, fortunately she made up for it and in the last part of the routine Michael Tse lifted her up up side down, it was tremendous! The pressured young fadans won applause from the whole audience! The Host Nat Chan praised the performance and when asked if it was difficult? Liza said: "Nope, its very fun! Haven't done fast dancing for a long time, able to dance with so many dance kings and queens. I feel young too!"

On the other hand, the most anticipated "Sheh-Wing" performance did not have much, just had the rumored couple dance together. Although the rumored couple continued to let TVB bring them up along with Ng Kwan Lai, Sek Sau, etc. but they were not as great as Liza's performance. Kevin also had a stiff expression throughout the performance, while Charmaine had a sweet smile. During the interview in the make up room, Charmaine said: "I was really nervous!" Amigo Chui asked Charmaine: "Are you nervous because Kevin's beside you?" Besides Amigo, Kevin heard the question and immediately patted him on the shoulder. Also, when the two rumored couples Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong, Linda Chung and Raymond Lam performed the MEGASHOW, there was not any big surprises.

Last year's trio Wong Cho Lam, Johnson Lee and Louis Yuen continued to minic others, this year they did "The Four Golden Flowers", afterwards they pretended to be "Ho Ma, Sa Yee, Hung Yee" and did a Rap song. The lyrics were all about the rumored couples, including "Ah Sheh ran fast, Kevin has something strange going on", "Sonjia Kwok's deep V made me mad" . All those made everyone laugh really hard.

The comedy skit was based on popular series "Moonlight Resonance", which ended up being a big waste of food. During the skit, everyone was playing hard. Lee See Kei, Susanna Kwan, Ha Yu, Eric Tsang, Moses Chan, Bosco Wong, Charmaine Sheh, Christine Ng and Myolie Wu were all apart of it. The skit had someone from behind each person to feed them cakes. Christine Ng was behind Moses Chan reaching her hand into his chest area. Ha Yu then attacked Bosco Wong's bottom half with cake. Originally showing the talent of tossing cakes, Eric Tsang ended up throwing the cake around randomly. But some netizens say that the skit was a copy of 1988's Anniversary comedy skit. Susanna Kwan and Ha Yu were the most miserable ones, they were being played so hard that they got cake all over their face and on their beautiful clothings. Afterwards, Susanna Kwan expressed that she didn't get mad, most importantly it didn't ruin her jewelry. As for Eric Tsang was asked about Susanna's black face, he supported her: "She's really happy, backstage she was still asking who caked her!" As for the $60,000HKD gifts and awards was taken away by Grace Wong, Shirley Yeung and Charmaine Sheh got second and third awards respectively.

Also, 101 year old 6th Uncle, yesterday he was accompanied by Mrs. Fong and the two Miss HK Ma Choi and Cheung Sue Na.

Eric Tsang attended OLEVIA's High Definition Digital TV Receiver event as the spokesperson. He revealed that he continued to sign a 2 year contract with OLEVIA and that his earnings were not affected by the financial crisis, in fact he had 20% added to his earnings.

It was also claimed that during the TVB Anniversary Extravaganza evening, Eric didn't go by the script and this made Liza Wang angry. Eric said "I didn't use the script during the rehearsals, Liza also said during the time if I dared to do that in the live show. Although Liza can be hot and cold at times, but this year she has been very playful". As for people criticising her water dance performance not dancing to the rhythum. Eric considers that Liza had done her best and did an outstanding performance during the rehearsals but unfortunately it wasn't recorded. Pehaps the large amount of water in the live show affected her performance.

Also there were 3 complaints about the skit, indicating it was wasting food. Eric said "People will complain about anything, that night there were 2,000,000 viewers watching, I cannot just cater for those 3 people".

Eric Tsang entertainment business fails
Source

The media has received news that artistes under "Beijing Open brokers for the Performing Arts Co., Ltd.", the company which Hong Kong artiste Eric Tsang invested in, are terminating their contracts with the company. The company is rumored to be an empty shell now. Tsang denied this issue but says he is "still unsure of the details of the situation".

"Beijing Open brokers for the Performing Arts" company was set up in June 2004, with Tsang as the director. Artistes under this company include Michael Miu, Law Ka Ying, Lisa Wang, Lau Siu Fung and Leung Jing. According to informants, other than Lau and Leung, the rest of the artistes are just represented by the company. At present, Lau and Leung have terminated their contract with the company and are now working for other companies. However the company has requested for both parties to keep this confidential in case the matter gets blown out of proportion, bringing damage in the company's reputation.

When journalists seek verification with the company, their staff denied the rumor. However Lau's new company in Shanghai has confirmed that the former has signed on its company, but declined to comment on the status of his former company.

When Tsang was questioned about Lau changing to another company, he says, "There were rumors, but I've already sent out a release. There is no such matter." When told that the Shanghai Company has confirmed Lau's change, Tsang was stumped for a moment and said, "I am not very sure about this. There shouldn't be any problems. I'm currently in Hong Kong, so I'm not very sure about the details."

Tsang is a well-respected figure in the entertainment business, but has seldom shown great results in his investments. His restaurants and movie businesses were flops and his daughter Bowie Tsang's investment in Lehman Brothers Holdings, also reported great losses.

When Eric Tsang introduced her he said "She is a beautiful girl". He also asked her which chinese zodiac sign she is. Kayi replied the year of the pig. Eric then said "It's okay, you're not a pig head. But a porkchop." This made Kayi extremely awkward. Afterwards, Chin Ka Lok and Wong Cho Lam teased her by calling her "Pig Kayi". They indicated that she was clumsy while playing games. Kayi said "I am not unhappy. Going on the show I was prepared for it. They are just joking."

Jamie Chik was shooting a TV series but came along to support Michael Miu. She was invited to play the game Human Hula Hoop (人肉呼拉圈). When Michael carried Jamie he found it very tiring. Jamie could see him sweating and used a tissue to wipe his sweat off. It was a very warm scene.

He's really funny as a host and presenter but sometimes he can say the wrong things without thinking. But Super Trio is an unbeatable show!

Singer Shirley Kwan made it clear that Eric Tsang is not her son's real father. Yesterday Eric attended a public event and discussed about the matter. He said "I am used to the rumors now because it's been going on for so many years. Everytime there is a rumor about it Shirley will call me to apologise as she feels very uncomfortable. I really don't mind, in fact I think it's quite funny. Even my youngest daughter couldn't resist to ask Bowie Tsang (Older sister) why she didn't know that they had a 8 year old younger brother?"

Eric has never seen Shirley's son before. He joked that if he sees him one day he will need to take pictures with him. "It's sad to see the little boy get teased at school about it, calling him "Super Trio's" son. Now the truth has finally been revealed." The reporter asked Eric whether he would become his god father? He admitted that he was considering the idea but will not take on such actions during such a sensitive time."
