Really I dun see how hating or disliking someone whom you don't like his/her acting or singing is insane or stupid. If you think of the opposite, it is insane and stupid too to love or like someone whom you like for their acting and singing?

About Linda, I do not dislike her now but I used to.
Mainly because of her overpromotion.. I know it's not her fault.. but i guess I can't help it.

I really think that Linda has improved a lot since HOG. Her crying scenes were good, at least way better than when she was in VOH. I have watched her on a cooking variety show and she seems really real compare to other artists. She is also a very filial daughter (read in a recent article) and she's willing to take the long way to earn money and not bare skin just to earn quick money.

yeah, i mean i give her some credit for her improvements in HOG but she is too overrated. i dont think her acting in HOG was too outstanding. i heard news saying she became so popular after HOG because many ppl think she did a good job. i was like really?
and i realise she isn't very good at answering questions. in the HOG2 blessing ceremony, the host was asking linda who will she choose and all the while she was like ermmmmm... giggles.. ermmm... i was like expecting something for her and in the end, ray and bosco said everything for her. that interview made me feel so irritated by her.

Yah... i saw the clip for HOG2 blessing. I find her very irritating in the interview.. she keeping giggling and smiling and all her reply is ermmm. One part that bothers me is when they ask who will she choose between bosco and raymond, she goes ermm and say she choose the producer and even when the reporter commented that she seems more compatible with bosco, she goes ermm and say she don't know (abit like try to smoke through e qn). I feel that she is very fake (trying to be nice by not choosing any) and boring (esp with bosco and raymond - the thing they say are more interesting). This is just wat I feel.

I saw her in an interview a few weeks ago and she said she never took any formal acting classes so that might be one reason why people critize her acting. Now a days, TVB is too cheap to invest in acting classes for newcomers. Most of the well known movie actors/actresses(Andy Lau, Tony Leung & among others) in HK used to work for TVB and also took the company's acting classes.

There's a whole heap of people promoted more than Tavia and besides...that is stereotyping Tavia fans must be Linda haters. That's not the case at all as I've seen some liking both. I guess because Tavia fans like those who 'works their way up' from cameos and base their promotion on 'talent' rather than winning some pageant and be hyper-promoted. So, you might see Tavia fans not liking Linda.

But that's not the point. That is really stereotyping. Just because a few fans don't like the same artist doesn't mean the whole group thinks the same. It's unfair for the others.

People might say she's pretty with decent acting, but to me she's average looking and has really shallow acting. I never really 'feel' for her characters. That's just my opinion.

BTW: I think it would have been better with she sang 'Sum Ling' louder...I can't hear her when Ray's voice came along. She became 'the echo' not in the 'duet' kinda way either. I like the sound of Ray doing Sum Ling Solo better.

I like Linda. I thought her acting has definitely improved from VOH II to her most recent series Heart of Greed. I mean her crying skills has improved very much. She had a lot of crying scenes in HOG and she performed her best in each of them.

Really? I haven't heard live singing of Sum Ling...was JSG live? Regardless, Ray doing solo is so irresistible...I think Linda has some techniques in her singing but her voice is weak. She's not a singer so we can't ask for much.

But back to the topic, like as in how was Ray actually 'sacrificed'??? Back in HOG, I thought character wise- it should have been Alfred and Sui Mak Mak. It got to a point where I thought Alfred was with SJS based on duty. If you noticed Sum Ling's song, they might have edited the ending of Alfred and SJS. I've read initially Alfred chose Sui Mak Mak but went back with Linda for 'duty' and got involved in the car incident. I think they changed that because HK people don't like third wheels getting the guy. Anyway, if you pay attention to Sum Ling's lyrics the guy is basically saying 'the love is over' and he's not willing to change himself to sustain the relationship.

Firstly, from earlier articles, it was like making out as if Ray can't wait to make Linda his girlfriend. Towards now, I've read some saying that Ray found Linda annoying because of her acting can't keep up with his or something. I'm not sure of the full picture but I'll love to be filled in =)

I've different feeling. Linda is nearly Raymond's type (long hair, pony tail). But he likes girl who might be smarter than Linda? He said that she is too innocent and sometimes dun understand his word. So ^^ they may in luv but not now.

Hmm, some here won't agree with me but I think that Fung's acting in DOL is better than HOG because his partner is Charmaine, not Linda. Compared with Linda, Charmaine's acting is better so Fung's acting in DOL therefore better. BTW, I think that Linda improved really fast. Moreover, she has her own smell: innocent look. None of TVB has the same look atm. Maybe that's why TVB promote her. As for linking... Iono. Maybe yes, maybe no.
