I prefer Zhao Min because she is so cute and kind hearted while I think from the time where she became ruthless, she had already gives the audience a cold and ruthless feeling, but luckily, Zhi rou changed to be a good person and become a nun
I watch the HSDS series but not its book from Jin Yong so maybe I interpreted it wrongly.

I knew she looked young so I'm not surprised she's only 19 now but farout to weight only 43kg, that's underweight for 167cm in height!
I reckon she's quite pretty but I'm curious to know would she still look so gd if she didn't have all the makeup.
I saw a pic of her when she was younger with her mum and I can definitely see where she gets her gd looks from cos her mum was quite attractive - maybe even moreso than her!

LYF would make a good looking ZhaoMin but not sure she could take the role...ZhaoMin is supposedly the best looking female character of HSDS.

not sure about alyssa being a classic because that was only 3 years ago. i dont think the role of zhaomin is much harder than zhi zhirou...gao yuan yuan had a harder role to portray...zhaomin just had to be bubbly and cruel....while zhirou had to be sweet/cold/cruel....

Hm, I don't quite agree on this one. I think that both roles are equal in terms of difficulty.

Sorry but Alyssa converted the cunning, intelligent, and seductive ZM into a cute, bubbly, bratty individual. ZM was spoiled to an extent but not dependent like Alyssa's version. Gigi Lai's ZM was a lot more interesting to watch.

Both Charmaine and GYY portrayed their parts well but GYY performed a better job of the two.

I think, LYF should portray ZZ and Ady should ZM, Ariel should be the cousin, and Rainie should complete the set by playing the slave. Haha! JK!

As beautiful as LYF may be but LYF matches those calm cold types like ZZ. Just as you mentioned, as good of an actor Ariel may be she doesn't match to portray XLN, in a way LYF is sort of like that...she would make a splendid ZZ but ZM??--That's Ady!

sun fei fei is another beauty and she's new to the scene...i just hope she pick a good management team for herself...she's capable of getting good roles because of her looks.

Right now, she's filming the new series Bi Xue Jian's adaptation (Crimson Saber). She plays as the beautiful princess Chang Ping.

ZZ looks warm on the outside and but has a weak personality...she let her master bully her into the road of evil...and she's vendictive...but in the end she is a nice girl.

Gillian has a very profound face structure...thats not gentle...if u look closely at her face...with an unbias eye...you could see that she holds a certain air of...malice.

a role like Han Li (the cousin) would really fit with her...not to mention the role would be a challenge to her. kinda sick of seeing her in the nice girl role.

also she's a bit old to be playing the slave girl, the slave girl was barely 15 in the novel...very young...by the time they film this gillian would be near 30.

even ady would be pushing it with any of the roles...they won't start filming till near 2 years later...that would make ady be near 30 too. i'm sure she'll do a good job but the public are going to start winging about her being 'too old for the role'.

even yifei by tat time would be wat...22? not so bad.

It sounds like a negative review of ROCH:

Crystal still did not perform well enough. When she is supposed to smile brightly, her smile came off as ambiguous. When she cries, it looks like resentment. The article claims Crystal still fail to portray the atmosphere of seclusion experienced by Xiao Long Nv.

It also points out some flaws in the camerawork when shooting the stunts scene. It also says the candles in the ancient grave, where Xiao Long Nv is poisoned, do not make sense. because how can candles be there in the first place. The director explained it is to set up a romantic atmosphere.

You'll get to see Yang Mi in ROCH too. She's costarring with LYF in that series. Yang Mi is new to the scene. We'll see a lot more of her in the future.

About Crystal and ROCH...I dont really care what the critics say...i dont like the movies/series they like and vice versa...i'll judge this series with my own judgement...

How the candles get there? What does the candles have to do anything with the scene? It isn't important. There are there just to setup the romantic atmosphere. If the candles start flying by themselves and start lighting up themselves, then maybe the candles are an issue to the scene...other than that...i dont see anything wrong with it. They are quick to judge ZJZ's productions. ZJZ is trying something new to the sereis but not take anything away from the novel like the past series. The dance scene...people criticized it like crazy...but they dont know jack about that scene...ZJZ made it into an art form...I like his ideas...

i guess people got use to the crappy previous and they're not open-minded about new things...i mean...if you dont like it...just stick with the old version.

I add/edit a few lines here and there...not sure if they're correct but i've tried my best to make it readable/enjoyable...it's in *.srt format. you will need to download vobsub to view the subtitles. just move/copy the file to same folder as the video clip file. i'm hoping the timing is okay...

she was dubbed in tat series... so it isn't her voice... the girl who dubbed ling er is the one who did sai jing... i am sure u realised dat hehe! but yeah, lyf is dubbed again. because apparantly her voice wasn't mature enough... too kiddy or soemthing, and to bring a mature-ish touch, they dubbed it... apparantly tat was much better.... can't remember source, but certainly it was a reliable one....

what is sai jing??? and i think xiao qian in liao zhai... yang mi's voice also dubbed right??? i could recorgnize the voice... it's from the same person who dubbed ling er's voice!!!

oh sai jing is this character in hu ge's new series called tian wai fei xian... hehe, her voice is sooo the voice of the girl who dubbed ling er... hehe.
