I think it's also because the series she starred in are not very well-known compared to a lot of the other series... but I don't agree with the last point... that's an opinion or anaylsis really, not a fact, you can't physically know that not many people watch Asian series in the U.S...

Her popularity should boost after the series 'ROCH' comes out. She'll be more popular in Taiwan if her singing goes well. Japanese are fond of her already...well...maybe on her looks since they say she look like an anime character.

well.... when i saw Eva for the first time in Stephen Chow's " Kung Fu... " I really think she's pretty.... but... now i don't think so.... i prefer Crystal! And yes!! I totally agree with all of you!!! Crystal is waaayyyyyy prettier than Eva!!!

i do kinda agree with crazylife about "not many people watching asian series" nowadays, the only places you can find asian series here in new york at least is in Chinatown or in the libraries and not many ppl are aware of asian series, unless ppl put out word about upcoming new series..many ppl here are more aware of recent american movies and films. and for chinese films..ppl usually watch chinese movies now...i don't know. i just hope Yi Fei's first album comes out fast and good, so at least fans here in the US can spread word..music is easier to spread.
Oh, and I've heard from a downloaded radio version about Liu Yi Fei's life on Baidu mp3. I don't know if it's all fact or not. It said that she was only here in the U.S. for 2 yrs.

We can't really tell if it was 2 years or more. Everyone thought she was 19, 16, 15 years old but it turns out that she just 18 this August. I don't think she like to talk about herself...and that's good thing. However, I wish someone ask what type of guys she like so i could practice being that person.

Her career has only begun, don't fret so much of how she's not widely known. It does take time for different regions outside of China to recognize her, collaborate with her, and absorb her sweet talents. Her serials are doing quite well actually compared to other serials.

Currently, all Chinese serials have faded due to the strong Korean wave. So it's not because LYF is not receiving enough fame but it's the changing trend of the audience.

But yes, I am 1000 percent certain that ROCH will be her biggest Project to arrive in her rising career and popularity. She still has her singing career to launch as well and I think her agency is running on a wonderful schedule. I mean, her agency probably won't release her album until they measure the popularity of ROCH first or perhaps vice versa so that her popularity from both the serial and album would boost up her sales in almost everything she features in. That's politics. By then, sponsors would rush in wanting her as their representative. I'm pretty sure this is the direction her fame will head.

TLBB, LOCH, HSDS did very well. I'm sure ROCH will do well too. I think ROCH had the biggest budget than the other 3 series. TLBB and HSDS had a great cast. HXM and LYF will be known throughout Asia after this series. Even if her album flop, she'll easily get a lead role in any series. She have that lead role look that everyone like.

In some of the other interviews, she mentioned that she tried very hard for ROCH. She told everyone that she wants to improve her acting...but she was also modest most of the time. She never said that she was good but hope that everyone will like the series.

It's not that she haven't appear on screen frequently...I believe it's because she's not in that phase where she's dating or going out. Her mother is strict on her. Plus, she's very professional in entertainment industries. She knows what to say and what not to say.

Yes, I do agree. LYF shows no true affection towards her other leads like Jimmy or HXM at all but when it comes to Hu Ge, she somehow reveals that cute crush type symptom. Well, I can understand why Hu Ge would like Yue Ru's character because he's spontaneous like Xiao Yao so I suppose he wants a girl who is also bubbly, bratty, and at the same cute, someone he can lightly bicker with just to add more juice into the relationship. All the websites though are in chinese...it sux when you are interested in a chinese actress or actor, but don't know how to read much Chinese. hehe...have anyone ever wondered what it'll be like if Liu Yi Fei acts in an American tv show or movie? She was here in the U.S., I've heard on a radio clip that after calculating her life, she was only here for 2 yrs..but i don't think you need to know fluent English in order to act in American movies, as long as you're a decent actor or actress..it should be fine. Ling'er did pass away...but you know how it is with movies/series...they could always magically come back to life. Plus, Ling'er is a fairy with power...someone from the fairy land could revive her.
