lulu - Wookie is an underweather thief!!?? That was so funny!! I literally laughed so hard I almost fell off my chair; my son came running to see what was going on & if I was okay. The best part is that he & Henry kept putting them back without washing them!! Guess he remains the Eternal Magnae, even in SJM. That is why he's one of the Magnaes On Top. Guess he & Kyu will have to let Henry in the MOT club then :-)

Yes, that was the video I was talking about; that's for pointing out who was singing with him. Thanks for posting the Dream Concert vid; Wookie got to ride up on the elevator with Yesung. It wasn't until he sang that I figured out they weren't lip synching. Did the change the choreography around 2:30? I like their performance at Premium Live in Japan better but this was still a good performance.

ruby - To answer a question you had awhile ago (in case you haven't found out since then) Chuseok is a Korean holiday, similar to Thanksgiving in the US or Canada. It's a mid-autumn festival and is usually celebrated with family.

avada - Thanks for that gif! It shows 2 different sides of Wookie very quickly - his "tough" side and then his "cute" side. His smile is so beautiful!!

nicky - Welcome back!! I am new to the thread; I've been on AF for about a month or two. My kids love Wookie, especially my son. He is horrible with remembering names (as am I) so he just calls him "the little guy". My husband likes to joke & call him Shindong. It's cute to hear my kids trying to sing along in Korean; my daughter always follows Yesung when he ad libs. But they can pick Wookie's voice out no problem. I couldn't believe that was Wookie either when I saw "Pin Up Boys". I saw it for the first time when I was still learning about SuJu so I really didn't know who each of them were. But I remember thinking "why would they give that hairstyle to that guy to make his cheekbones stick out even farther?" Once I got to know a lot more about Wookie it was even funnier to watch. His screams had me , literally.

Lulu was kind enough to tell me that in the "Magic Carpet Ride" vid the other singers are Jessica from SNSD and Jonghun from SHINee. Yeah, the vocals were really high but they did a great job. Wookie was pretty good rapping, something I didn't expect to hear out of him.

I know which vid you're talking about when Wookie said he didn't like Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun was on a show being hosted by Shindong & Sungmin and they had Wookie call in. Let me see if I can find it on YT; I just saw it recently. Ok, got it.

lulu - Poor Hannie!! He must have been *so* embarrassed. I am surprised that Wookie took his underwear, not only because of his personality but I would think Wookie would be a size or two smaller than Hannie because he's so petite. Well, I guess if you're out of underwear & you are desprate enough you'll take what you can get. Why did they pick Hannie, though? Because he's the leader or because they think he wouldn't get mad at them? If they took Kyuhyun's he would definitely make them pay Hae would probably freak out and so would Mimi. Yeah, I guess Hannie was the best choice; although why didn't Wookie & Mochi take each others? Mochi is the dongsaeng so Wookie could have totally gotten away with it. And I don't think Wookie would have gotten mad at Mochi, what do you think?

I'll have to watch the vid again to see who was lip synching. It did sound weird to me how some of them sounded so different from everyone else; it made me think of the Bean Curd Festival that SJM did and had horrible microphone problems.

I've watched some really high-quality fancams of Wookie in ryeowook.com, but I can't reupload them for you.
I suggest you should watch to, since they're all so excellent. I think Wookie had a really happy night in DC, he just couldn't stop smiling to himself in "It's you" performance, which was excessively sweet. And if it hadn't been for fancam, I would never have known that he was that happy!

It's great to see him like that since he seemed to be a little tired these days and if you read his latest fancafe mess, you would know that he was extremely nervous before DC happened.

colette - Hi!!! Yep, whole family's SuJu fans and Wookie is my son's favorite. Nope, we can't speak Korea (except for a few words) because I'm white and my husband's Chinese. Kids and I can't speak much Chinese either My daughter would love to sing with the guys but she can't keep the beat (like her father). So maybe karaoke??

I totally loved Wookie in Pin Up Boys; every time I watch it it gets funnier & funnier. He should do more acting jobs; I think he'd do really well in them. So that's why Teukie was the panda; I never knew why he got stuck with that role (or even why they had a panda in the movie to begin with). I never saw the BTS for "Red Sun", I'll have to look that up. Even though he didn't like Kyu at first it's good that they're chingus now. Magnaes On Top ftw!!! When they're together they can defeat even the mighty Kangin!

Butting into your convo w/ lulu - what bad news about SuJu did you hear? When I read Wookie saying that he stole Hannie's underwear I almost fell off my chair. I never would have imagined he'd do something like that!! That's why you can't underestimate him or judge him just on his looks; there is so much more to him on the inside.

In that vid - what the heck is wrong with Kyuhyun??? Maybe it's one of those things that once he got laughing he just couldn't stop (I've had that happen, usually when I'm really tired). fiona - Welcome to Wookie's thread!!! Yeah, he was so amazing in that video - very serious & sexy, not cute & sweet like he is in a lot of other MVs. His dancing has really improved; have you seen him in the "Neorago" dance version MV? When he does his little heel wiggle thing with his legs crossed I love it. He nearly falls over at one point but he keeps from completely falling over; just a little balance check. I've been talking with colette about his acting, especially in SuJu's movie "Attack of the Pinup Boys". Have you ever seen it? If not, there's a subbed version on YT. Wookie is *so* funny in the movie; he plays the school's vice president and has several scenes where he's being punished by Siwon. I also love a very brief scene that he has with Sungminnie.

Other than "Super Girl" what are some other MV that you really liked Wookie in? What about songs that you really like hearing him sing? Have you ever seen a clip on YT that is a compliation of him playing the piano? 2 of the songs I love to hear him sing are actually in English - "Honesty" and "Insomnia". "Honesty" is from 2006 or 2007 but even then his pronunciation was very good. "Insomnia" is his solo for Super Show 2 (SS2). If you go back a few pages you'll see several fancam vids that I posted of it. Ok, I just went back myself to check and there's 4 of them I posted on page 44; posts # 1722, 1734 & 1737; they're taken from diferent angles. The linked video in post 1734 is so close to him!! The sound isn't great but you can see such detail. The sound & video are slightly off so it looks like he lip synching. The linked vid in post 1737 has the best audio, I think. There is a bunch of fans screaming around but it's a great camera angel & shows the whole dance sequence well. There's a lot of other good pics & vids on that page, too.


zaiken - Wookie does look good in black; I love him in white, too. I have another group shot from the oppo CF and he's wearing a white long-sleeved shirt in it and I when I saw it. He definitely is showing a much more mature side of him lately and I'm loving it. I still love his cute, adorkable side and he'll always be the Eternal Magnae but he is getting older and his style needs to reflect that. See my comment to lulu about the ranking thing.

well i dont know if you consider it bad news, but i do.
i found out that the whole suju smokes.
here's how it goes.

My sister has a friend, we'll call her A to protect her privacy (: . A knows a half-korean-half thai ELF whose parents know suju's managers. Her parents are divorced so she shuffles between korea and thai. Apparently she has stalked suju for 4 years (extreme, I know!) she knows that teukie and sungminnie always go to the toilet to smoke, because she saw them go in and she asked her brother to go in to check.and she walked behind kyuhyun and kyu blew smoke into her face.

She hasn't seen eunhyuk siwon or ryeowook smoke before. But how would you know right? I mean when they are all in the dorm, who can see?
I believe eunhyuk, because he's so innocent and he's junsu's friend.and junsu doesn't smoke (though yoochun and jaejoong do ): )and siwon is so super religious I don't think he will either. For some reason I don't trust ryeowook. He is so close to yesung (and yesung is close to jaejoong anyway) and teukie.

maybe it's because i like ryeowook the best so that's why i find it even more unacceptable for him.

I know that I don't know them personally, and they don't know I exist. But I'm just sad that there is this kind of news which makes they are so unnatural and so...fake. i wish people could be more honest.


when i first found out i started crying like crazy. i remember saying on AF when i first came in, that i would stop supporting them if i found out they smoke. maybe that's why i was crying so badly, because i wanted to give them up, but i couldn't. maybe youall think that it's okay to smoke, i mean it's so common and maybe their reasons are true (their excuses are because they are stressed and that the weather is too cold), but i really don't like people who smoke, so i got really upset after that. i found out a few days before my exams so my mood was super affected. i had been taking them as my inspiration for so long, then i suddenly found out they are not as they appear (like SJH did an anti-smoking campaign). i was really heartbroken after that. maybe you all think i'm very silly and gullible, but i really took suju as my inspiration. maybe this industry is just too complicated for me to comprehend. )):

oh. about their ages and why ryeowook and kyuhyun are considered "chingu" or "friends" instead of "hyung and dongsaeng" is b/c in korea, the age system thing is different. if you're born in the early part of the year, you're considered the same age as the people born in the previous year. this is b/c of the lunar calendar thing. also, this is how the korean school year system goes. so in ryeowook and kyuhyun's case, they'd be put in the same grade level in school.

so it's not b/c wookie and kyuhyun are close that kyuhyun doesn't call wookie hyung. two people can be very close and not necessarily be considered "chingu"



gosh i'm still really really upset over this smoking thing =(


what i really want to do (which is of course impossible) is to barge into their lives and destroy every medium in which they get their cigarette supplies. it is definitely not easy to quit smoking but it's not undoable. herbal medicine, patches, counseling, provocative videos, and perhaps even trips to the hospital to visit those lung cancer patients ... come on! smoking is such a bad thing! and it is NOT something that allievates stress. cigarettes have nothing but detrimental complications to offer.

Wookie kills me with his angelic voice in 'blue tomorrow' song!esp the "wo ai ni, bu hui kai bian" part *bad, bad wookie*=P..plus, i love his latest hairstyle, esp in the pics posted by lulu (#1089)..if that's the latest cos except the sj-m new album, im pretty lost abt wookie at the moment

i see some posts discussing abt the smoking thing again..well, i saw few pics of few suju members smoking at one event..maybe they were taking break from concert rehearsal..i was shocked, speechless & dumbfounded looking at the pics...i dont know what to believe, my own eyes or the pics...well, to hear the rumours is totally different than seeing the real pics..most of them are on my top list of my suju fav members!but i was kinda relieved wookie isnt in the pics..i hope i wont find wookie in the pics taken in the future..i have to say they have every right to smoke..if wookie ever had a slight thought to smoke, just hope that he's a well-grown up man who knows what is good & bad for him..if he wants to release tension/lose weight/whatever, i hope he's wise enough not to choose to light up a cigarette..but i cant put a high hope on that..things happen..as long as we dont hear any rumours saying that he smokes or see any pictures showing that he's a smoker, i believe it's better for us to hold onto the idea that he's not..

I <3 yewook too! they're so cute! i remember watching the oh...i forgot the name of the show. basically, the suju members were divided into two teams sphire blue(?) and the prince teams and made mini dramas. for one episode, the theme was Dangerous Friendship. omg yewook was tooooo cute!! ever single yewook scene was awesome. although the main couple was kyumin, i loved yewook more haha. i love how yesung tucked the napkin in for wookie. and wookie fed yesung! and right after, he put the same spoon into his mouth again XDD my favorite part was wookie sleeping on yesung's lap haha. usually wookie is not the most active member on shows but his participation this time in happy camp was actually very good! i just can't get over the fact that he went out and blocked kyuhyun when the hosts specifically asked kyuhyun to dance to gee XDD
you can really tell his improvement in chinese. when he and kyuhyun were in that weird pose, he was supposed to say (from fuzzy memory) "sorry" and kyuhyun say "i forgive you" but wookie actually said "wo bu gan le" (rough translation: i won't do this again). i was still in the stage of awe when kyuhyun suddenly said "i won't forgive you!" and made wookie collapse XDDD well it was well-deserved. how could you break kyuhyun's keyboard and hide it wookie? hahaha

yeah wookie is totally a cutie pie! on happy camp, the hosts asked him to make a cute face. so he turned around (b/c he was unaware or something) and his facial expressions was sooo cute!! XDD and he didn't intend it to be his cute face. XDD this shows how naturally adorable wookie is.

ah yes. getting past the body guards would be our first obstacle. i think they should have anothe full house season for suju. we'll be the two totally awesome exchange girls this time. well on a second thought, they don't even have to air this. my intention is to just get close to suju and wookie anyways XDD since we don't know much korean, our communication has to be in english, which will force suju to learn it faster. well i guess hankyung will be able to communicate with me with no problem in chinese hehe. i can tutor suju in japanese too! and eunhyuk in french, if he ever wants to go to france again haha.

you know, fiza, if we were successful in becoming exchange girls to korea and gotten close enough to suju, our plans for hyponsis would be carried our with no problems. if that's the case, after we hypnotize wookie and do our anti-smoking lecture, we should do the same with the rest of the members as well. i want suju to be healthy and smoke-free.

so sorry for being away for one week.
the reason are school and nicky's post about SJ smoking... ( it is not ur fault nicky, it was just my angry self).
i HATE SMOKING, DRINKING( i was mad when i find out wookie drink) and DRUG.
MY FATHER PASSED AWAY BECAUSE OF CIGARETTE and i don't want anyone i love lost their life anymore. My friend dad also passed away because of that stupid thing so i am really ..... angry right now.
i know that it is non of my business if they smoke or not but i just don't want to see any one i love to be suffer from lung cancer, liver cancer, stroke, mouth cancer ect ect..... ever... again.

oh and i think ryeowook is pronounced as "rleo-uk" like there isn't a proper "r" sound i think (i'm not sure about this) and the "wook" is like short, like a hiccup (that's what my friend told me).

Oh yeah watch those mini dramas! I forgot which one it was but I really didn’t like the episode of the ghost. i used to think that anything suju related wasn’t going to be scary…boy I was wrong. Have you watched mystery 6? I wanted to watch the whole thing after watching short clips of it. those clips seemed fine so I went ahead and clicked on ep1part1 of it. well it was a good thing I scrolled down to the comments section to get a feel of what’s going to happen…almost everyone freaked out about some (ghost?) girl suddenly popping out.
Oh animal farm!! I watched it. it’s really touching. Ryeowook got really attached to this little dog (looked like a yorkie mix) but in the end, it died. =( omg ryeowook’s tears are really moving. He was saying how he felt that he was to blame because it was almost as if he abandoned it (something along those lines). It was really sad =( then later I forgot who (yesung??) adopted another dog for ryeowook. In the end of the 2 months when suju had to send the dogs away to appropriate families, each member gave a little message about the dog. Ryeowook said that he already invested too much love for the little dog (excuse me for not remembering any of the adorable doggies’ names) that he felt that he wasn’t able to give enough love to the new dog. Awww this really goes to show ryeowook’s emotional commitments. And this is one of the reasons why I love him.
All in all, I loved animal farm. All the suju members in this program were so lovable. Haha I remember one day, the suju members took the dogs to a dog park. They brought a whole watermelon to eat lol without any knife hahahha. So in the end, they chopped it with their hands and the watermelon pieces, as you can imagine, were all chunky. It was cute though b/c all the members dug their faces into those watermelon pieces hahaha.

Another full house season would be awesome! I was daydreaming and thinking which dorm I wanted to be at. 11th with wookie, kyuhyun, yesung, eunhyuk, and sungmin or 12th with hankyung, heechul, eeteuk, shingdong, and donghae. I decided to go to wookie’s floor (LOL) in the end. I remember on intimate note someone (eunhyuk?) was saying that they (the 11th floor guys) instead of drinking (?) likes to eat and talk hahaha. So that’d be more suitable for me. And besides, our goal is to get on with our hypnosis with wookie hehe. The reason I contemplated 12th floor was b/c hankyung knows Chinese. But I guess if he were there, I’d be less inclined to be able to practice my sucky Korean XD

Yeah I understand you totally, fiza. When eunhyuk (in that gorgeous Chinese dress LOL) on intimate note spoke a bit of Chinese, I was like YES! Hahaha and whenever the suju members speak Japanese I’m elated. If only they learned more~ gosh that’d make the interpretation so much easier. XD

Exactly. Scaring them away with the ugliest of the ugliest facts of cigarettes. Oh as a matter of fact, I just read from a magazine this morning that tobacco causes 440,000 deaths in the US every year, which accounts more deaths than alcohol use, drug use, suicides, car accidents, AIDS, and fires COMBINED.
Now that’s one sad fact. Both true and ugly.

Gosh God forbid me ever seeing wookie (or any suju members, really) smoking in front of me. =( just imagining the picture is making me upset.

Each and every one of the suju members are really talented and lovable. i tried many times to make a list of the members from favorite to relatively least favorite and I failed. This is basically what I came up with
(no specific order within the groups)
1. ryeowook, kyuhyun, heechul, eunhyuk, sungmin, siwon, donghae, hankyung
2. yesung, shindong, eeteuk, kangin, kibum

I remember one time Jackie chan said something, and it had a profound impact on me. He said that there’s a reason for a one’s failure just as there’s a reason for one’s success. So simple yet it couldn’t be truer. Now apply that to suju members, there’s a reason why they’ve achieved such success. The path to success was definitely not a smooth one, and the task to maintain the same recognition and achieve betterment is even more difficult. I just hope that they take care of their bodies and take their health into consideration while they strive for their dreams.

I love sungmin with all my heart too(okay the love’s shared with the other 12) and I took a major blow from knowing that he smokes too. *SIGH* why sungmin!? Quit please! Labeling any suju member as a smoker is the last thing I want to do.
