hey guys... after several days of mindsplitting headaches, nauseousness, etc from my head wound, i am finally abit better to sit up for abit. feijia: Keu Saram was a song that Ryeowook sang on Miracle For You. It was one of the songs on the H.I.T. OST soundtrack and you can find that video clip of him singing it in my youtube account! It was one of the rare gems I found online and decided to put it up because I never saw that clip before! DO GO WATCH IT!

Sigh 2008 is almost over and I just saw SJ's schedule.. and they will be having a Super Show soon in Shanghai.. so they only had it in Korea, Thailand and Shanghai? OK and I guess their 1st Premium Event in Japan..... where are the rest of the locations? Kinda sucks!

I can't really remember when exactly I first met Ryeowook hyung. Since being selected from the auditions in 2006, entering the company and living alone in Korea to fight for my dreams, only two years have passed. However in memory of this training period, Ryeowook's gentle and warm image will constantly appear in front of me. I never ever thought that 2 years later, I would actually have a chance to work so closely with this Super Junior hyung whom I respected and envied so much, and working together in China to realize our dreams.

Hyung's Mandarin Craze
In order to prepare SJM's first Mandarin album, the members frequently recorded till late in the night. Sometimes, we got so busy that we did not get to rest at all the entire night. Hankyung hyung and Zhoumi hyung were even busier, trying to teach everyone Mandarin and correcting our prounciations and tonations.

In this album, Ryeowook had alot of singing parts. When he is alone, he will look at his Korean romanization/tonation signs of the Mandarin lyrics and read it over and over again. At times, he will grab a hold of me when I am by his side memorizing my lyrics and ask me, "Is this how you pronounce this word? I feel that it sounds odd. Did Hankyung-hyung teach us wrongly?"

(cookiedough: ROFL! Hangeng is CHINESE!!! Of course it cannot be wrong my cute little wookie!)

At times, I myself was not able to get the correct pronounciation/tonation of the word, so together with Ryeowook hyung, we would go look for Donghae hyung to seek help. Donghae hyung would look at the copy of Korean tonation lyrics sheet, then scrutinize his own part in the copy that he is holding to repeatedly check..... but in the end, with two helpless hands open, he said "I think we should just look for Hankyung hyung and ask him".

Hence, in the end, it ended up with 3 of us looking high and low for Hankyung hyung.

Ryeowook hyung has a very good voice and his singing skills are amazing. After correcting the pronounciation of his lyrics again and again, he was able to grasp the song very quickly. Even though the song is in Mandarin, he continued to sing with his infectious, moving voice which undoubtedly leaves people admiring his singing abilities.

Ryeowook's favourite song is "THE ONE". This is a 2008 Olympics song and is a song about the fighting with determination and moving forward bravely. The lyrics were even written carefully by Zhoumi hyung and are written very well indeed.

After listening to the recording of this song, everyone was very satisfied. Ryeowook hyung said, "Just thinking about our fans humming or singing along to this SJM song of ours while watching the Olympics... my heart really feels extremely happy."

Ryeowook hyung also prepared a Mandarin song - Wang Lee Hom's "Kiss Goodbye" and sang it live for our fans. He sang it in such a moving manner that everyone in the audience was captivated by his voice and deeply attracted to him.

After the first program (where he sang this song for the first time) ended, hyung secretly told me that while he was singing "Kiss Goodbye", he felt like he was going to faint very soon because he was extremely anxious and nervous and was worried as to whether the fans would like it or not.

Our Hostel's Chef
After our arrival in China, Ryeowook hyung's culinary skills improved very speedily! When we were in our hostels, we were often able to eat delicious food even in the middle of the night. I heard from Donghae hyung and Hankyung hyung that Ryeowook hyung also often cooks for the members even back in Korea - peeling apples, cooking ramen etc. And in China now, Ryeowook hyung has learnt how to cook some yummy Chinese dishes (cookiedough: I LOVE YOU RYEOWOOK!!! You are soo sweet and thoughtful!! AND you can sing AND cook well? MARRY ME! haha!)

Ryeowook hyung has a huge interest in Chinese food and even passionately researched the way of making 'shao bing' (note: some kind of small flatbread.. go google and you will find it!). Although the final product received some naggings from Hankyung hyung, but I felt that aside from being just abit hard, the taste was not too bad!

There was once at 12am, Ryeowook hyung was still awake. After asking, then I found out that he was preparing breakfast for Donghae hyung who had to wake up very early the next day. This is how Ryeowook hyung silently shows his love and care towards the members.

This reminds me of my period as a trainee.... there was once I was practicing in the room till very late and was so tired that I fell asleep on the floor without packing up my things. Ryeowook, who was also practicing his piano till late in the piano room, walked pass and saw me sleeping. Afraid that I would get sick by sleeping in this manner, he woke me up and even gave me a packet of biscuit to take care of my stomach which I had neglected by practising my dance nonstop without dinner.

Actually, Ryeowook hyung is also extremely busy. Even with only 1-2 hours of sleep, he will not care about his fatigue. Once practice ends, he will toss his things aside and prepare good food for all the members. This is how Ryeowook hyung takes care of all of us.. just like a real brother... causing all of us to be very touched.

Ryeowook hyung loves watching me play the violin the most, always saying "Fantastic! Fantastic!" whiel at the same time in his eyes there will be glints of his tears which he is unable to suppress. Seeing how moved he is by my violin playing, I always feel moved by his sensitivity and his kind heartedness.

After the Sichuan earthquake happened and watching news after news about the tragic situation, Ryeowook hyung cried as he was updating his CY. But this kindhearted Ryeowook also has a stubborn side! While on the plane, he will look for me and Kyuhyun who are without any make up to take a photo together.. and just like that, our raw faces get uploaded onto his CY!!! What will our fans think after seeing the photos!!?!?!

I really appreciate ur work/translation, I actually read it twice … nope, three times in all. Thank u. After reading it, I even love Wookie more than b4 tho I already love him too much. Wookie has a big warm heart, he’s such a nice & caring person always take care 4 his members. Watching SJM clips & seeing pics, Wookie & Henry always stick together like glue, it’s hilarious & touched to see our magnae act like a big brother to Henry. how we came to love wookie...it's really indescribable!!!s/times my friends would ask me,what i really love abt wookie..of course i can answer them like i love him for his voice,his kindness,his cuteness,yada,yada,yada...but after that,still feel that it's not the right answer,it's something else that makes me really adore him,and till now i just can't find for that very particular reason..i think i have to see him personally to find the answer,haha..and i think that'd be the hardest thing ever in my life..agree with u,it's not satisfying enough to see him at the concert,it'd be really far away (if i can't afford for the vip ticket,hehe..)

I don’t remember when I first met Ryeowook, I’ve known him when I was accepted into the company in 2006 to fight for my dreams by myself in Korea. Even though only less than 2 years have passed, but everytime I think back to my trainee days, Ryeowook hyung’s warm face always appears. I never thought that 2 years later, I would have the chance to be so close with my seniors Super Junior whom I have respected and envied, and to realize our dreams together in China.

HYUNG GOING CRAZY FOR CHINESE

To prepare for SJ-M’s first album, all the members often recorded deep into the night together, sometimes there would be no time to rest for the whole night. Han Geng hyung and Zhou Mi hyung were using any time they get to teach everyone Chinese and correct everyone’s pronunciations repeatedly. Ryeowook hyung had a big part in the album. When he was by himself, he would read Chinese pronunciations labelled in Korean over and over again. Occasionally, he would grab me, who was memorizing lyrics beside me, and ask, “Is this word pronounced this way? It feels weird. Did Han Geng hyung teach us wrong?” Sometimes I wasn’t sure of the pronounciation either, so Ryeowook hyung and I would go to Donghae hyung for help. Donghae hyung would stare at the Korean phonetics and then study his own part over and over again. At then he would push both away and say, “Let’s go find Han Geng hyung and ask.” In the end, it turned into us going everywhere to find Han Geng.

Ryeowook hyung has a very nice voice, his singing is also very good. After adjusting the pronunciation again and again, he would quickly master the song. Even if it is a Chinese song, he can make it powerful and moving; you can’t help but admire Ryeowook hyung’s skills in singing. “The One” is hyung’s favourite song, it’s a song made for 2008 Beijing Olympics, and a song that inspires people to compete in a positive manner and to go ahead bravely. Zhou Mi hyung even wrote the lyrics meticulously; it was very well-written. Everyone liked it very much after hearing the demo. Ryeowook hyung said “Thinking of fans humming us SJ-M’s song while watching the Olympics makes me very happy.”

Ryeowook hyung also especially prepared a Chinese song - “Kiss Goodbye” by Wang Leehom. When hyung sang the song live to our fans, he sang with a lot of emotions and everyone was attracted to his voice and captivated by him.

After our first show ended, hyung secretly told me that he was so nervous that he almost fainted when he was singing “Kiss Goodbye.” He cares a lot about whether the fans enjoyed it or not.

KING OF COOKING IN THE DORM

After coming to China, due to lots of practice, Ryeowook hyung’s cooking skills improved very quickly. When we are in the dorm, we can eat delicious food very often, even at midnight. I heard from Donghae hyung that Ryeowook hyung cooked for the members in the dorm in Korea too, such as peeling apples and making ramen. In China, Ryeowook hyung learned to make some very delicious Chinese food. Hyung is very fascinated by Chinese delicacies, he even studied how to make a shaobing with great interest. Even though Han Geng hyung criticized the finished product, I thought it tasted pretty good, except it was a little hard.

Once, it was 12:00 at night and Ryeowook hyung still hadn’t slept. I found out later that he was preparing breakfast for Donghae hyung, who had an activity to attend very early in the following morning. Hyung is always quietly caring for the other members like this. It makes me think of when I was a trainee, once, I practised in the dance studio really late into the night by myself, and I was so tired that I fell alseep on the floor before I had a chance to clean everything up. Ryeowook hyung, who was also practising late in the music room, saw me sleeping when he passed by and woke me up because he was worried that I might get sick, he also gave me a pack of cookies because I was too focused on practising dance to eat.

In reality, he’s very busy too. But even if he only sleeps one or two hours and is very tired, he still prepares food for the members once practice is finished. Ryeowook takes care of us like a real hyung; it’s very touching.

Ryeowook hyung loves to watch me play the violin, he would say it’s great with tears in the corners of his eyes. Ryeowook hyung, touched by my violin-playing, always easily move me with his sensitivity and kindness. After a major earthquake struck China, after seeing the terrible conditions in TV news, hyung updated his CY while crying. Even though he’s very sensitive, sometimes he acts very stubborn. He dragged me and Kyuhyun hyung, both with no make-up on, to take pictures with him on the plane. And then he posted those rough faces on his CY. How would the fans react when they see it?

If you watched him host EHB 8, he raelly did a very good job and was very confident and clear. And his radio interview on Sukira with SJM when he was telling his Ryeowook Diary stories.... his voice was so engaging as he told the stories with a varying tonations to capture the audience's interest! <3 love him so much

they like to put fake tans on wookie oppa huh. he's actually one of the darker skinned members i just noticed that. in all of the pics they like to put the fake tan and then make him all shiny..but yes he does look hot. i like his hair. all the time nowadays.

My heart hurts seeing he’s sick *sigh*. He always takes care of his fellow members, I hope he should take care of himself too. He cant stand the cold & winter is coming soon. And he's acting like he's the umma of group tho it's Hangeng's title. Siwon talks beside take-out foods they often eat Wookie’s dishes … I take it as Wookie is cooking 4 members frequently? Oh no he has two jobs as a SJ’s member (a hard job) & a chef … other members should share cooking job w him instead of praising his skills only. If they keep on complimenting him like tt he would willing to cook 4 them everyday.

Omo wookie oppa's answers during the interview were so cute.

When they were talking about his cooking and complimenting it. The host told him that he should be willing to cook for them now (or something to that extent) and he said "OK!"

and later they told him that the netizens wanted to ask him something, and he said something along the lines of "do they want to say that i've gotten more handsome?"
ah he's so cute. and then he thanked his stylists for making him so handsome.

Apparently, they have a woman that comes to cook and clean for them but wookie oppa would rather cook.
He is pretty diligent about learning how to cook different things though. I think he wants to learn so he can have other people say that it's good and then he can be a dad that cooks yummy food so the kids can brag about it.
