the people in this group are SOO weird..
it was funny when 2 of them marched into the room and marched out..

OCTB = Organized Crime and Triad Bureau

It is part of HK Police Dept handling, well, triad etc. It is known by its short name O記 (sounds like "OK").

In this CIB series, I think the director purposely created the robotic movement. For fun, or gag.

The director also made fun when they copy the famous scene of movie "Infernal Affairs" where the cops talk on rooftop. But after that scene, Bowie's asked his coworker why do they choose to talk on rooftop, and his coworker said, "Maybe they watch too much HKｍｏｖｉｅｓ＂．

haha thats funny. they are so skilled in this series. in chapter one in that apartment, they were swinging around on ropes to catch the criminal.

yea that robotic march was relaly funny. do they actually do that in real life, that was hilarious. and who heads the OCTB team anyways?

the apartment scene where the OCTB were trying to catch the bad guys was relly cool. those acrobat moves were really cool, probably just stuntmen.

Isn't O記 supposed to be like the cream of the crop when it comes to law enforcement? It's funny to see them being portrayed in this rather comical light.

In episode 2, you can see a few of them walking by the window to the room where Wong Hei was meeting with his subordinates.. they were marching in that funny way.. hahaha

OCTB is not the creme of the crop. They are the same level as anti-prostitute unit. There are special teams like PTU (Police Tactical Unit) and SDU (Special Duty Unit).

Although I enjoy the funny behind OCTB team robotic march, I am afraid TVB will be sued by HK Police because of making fun with them. ha...ha...

I actually find them annoying...Gregory is ok aside from the stupid match, but the other, oh man, he picks me...I was irritated by him during his first scene! He can't act! trying to be all solemn & cool, he can't pull it off...it just annoys the heck outta me whenever I see him on now...Gregory is ok...not great, but he doesn't get on my nerves....the match is absolutely ridiculous...not sure why TVB is doing that...b/c O記 is supposed to be really respected...they're portrayed as just a joke.

Which one is Gregory? Is he the guy who was in DOP as Bowie's relative?

I believe the team is headed by Gregory Charles River aka 河國榮?

It's weird how the OCTB team is portrayed, but I don't think their robotic march is trying to insult the HK police force in any way. After all, TVB filmed that really good O記 series years ago starring Felix Wong, Sunny Chan and Kenix Kwok.

It just so happened their boss is also called Gregory (Charles Rivers). ^^

Yeah, it is Greg Lee, not Greg Ho Kwok Wing (Greg River). The have not mentioned who the head of OCTB is.

The producer of CIB, Chik Kei Yi, is also the producer of O記. The scripwriter, Chow Xu Ming, also.

Okay.. I know who Gregory is.. the shorter guy.. yeah, he's okay.. I agree that the other guy (who was in DOP) is not a very good actor. I also noticed that he seemed to have trouble pronouncing some of his lines. Dunno if it's a result of him trying to act cool/aloof or not..

In episode 3, what was with the wink that the OCTB guy gave Gregory?!?!?! I thought I was gunna die laughing!!!!

This group is so overly dramatic!! I think they are starting to grow on me.. haha..

the way they catch suspects are just impossible.. first time one of them swung on a pole.. the second time in the restuarant.. one of them had a leg on the guys necka dn a gun pointing on the other guys head.. i mean how is that possible..

it totally cracks me up but at the same time it annoys me that tvb made it so overly dramatic. octb team is just like any other teams.. HUMAN with emotions. they portray them as robots that doesn't think for themselves.. like they have to be told exactly what to do! .. but i like the part when gregory and the other guy jumped from one level to another catching the criminal.. it was so "ying"

That was just idiotic, no police officer who ever do that in real life.

HAHA.. the OCTB team does this a LOT in this series.. they break down a lot of doors too..

i think that team is weird because theres these two guys always marching around in the office area...

yeah...i don't like their marching...but i think this is a comedy so tvb film it that way he he

haha and have u noticed the whole of octb just consists of these two marching guys? i never see any other octb member. it's just weird. when they first came on marching i was like..."is this for real?!?!"
i rally wish they would act more normally it make the whols series quite unralistic

i think this group is funny cuz like in every scene they march n like they have a very straight face... first time seein a group work like that in the police movies....

Another weird thing. Why the heck are they doing rolls and summersaults with loaded guns everytime they do a crack in? It'd be so funny if he suddenly shoot himself.

At first I thought the marching was funny but they do it quite often and it's just weird now. All the rolling and door kicking is a bit ridiculous as well. I guess it's some sort of inside joke that I don't get.

I reckon its absolutely hilarious the way OCTB is protrayed in this series. They are so respected and all, but they're shown as thugs with no brains here. This is a full send-up, which is weird, considering TVB has never presented O Kei in this way.

But I gotta admit, their scenes are smooth. I love their first one, where they were swinging around the apartment block to catch the guys. And that wink scene. That was hilarious!! I couldn't stop laughing. Seriously, what was that meant to tell us? That these people may seem like neanderthals, but are actually fun-loving and their lack of expression is simply discipline?

my two cents is that the OCTB portrayal is a parody of HK movies again....all the action thrillers and police movies (heck, even Jackie CHan movies) have these cops who come running in en masse after the evil guy has been subdued by the hero ...and all the 'movie cops' are these extras who do exactly the same thing at exaaactly the same time.

I think tvb's making fun of how robotic these guys are portrayed in movies? just my two cents

the OCTB must have trained so hard for the series because they are in a lot of the scenes catching the criminals. it must be a hard job

I don't think these guys are robotic at all, at least not the two main guys? They are so quick to yell and shout and just make me laugh in general, lol XD Their movements are not so much robotic than they are ... like they want to beat somebody up ALL THE TIME.

I was a little surprised that this was the Oteam, I always thought that they did what the OCTB AND the CIB are doing in this series.

LOL that team is really really really funny. they are so proper and army like! I'm not sure why they are added here, maybe to create humour and entertainment

AT first, I was finding it funny, but after awhile, like in ep2, it bugged me. Espescially somersalting into a room to catch the criminal. Why can't they just do it normally. Plus, these two OCTB guy are like aliens in this show.

The OCTB ppl are stupid. I think they spoil the whole series. I mean, isnt this suppose to be a serious crime series?? why screw it up with this totally random and unfunny way of bringing the bad guys to justice. i srsly think the director has screwed up on this part.

haha i think it's great that these guys can take the piss out of themselves...i was ROFL every time they marched or gave their stone faced looks, esp in the scene in the bathroom where they were trying to be so dramatic and punched the mirror. whether intentionally trying to be a parody or not at least we all had a laugh!

i seriously don't know whether tvb are intentionally trying to make fun of the octb guys, or whether the actors just suck big time. it's like, the way they talk - is there really a need to sound so robotic? i'm sure even very disciplined soldiers don't behave like that! and the way they work, it seemed that the series was protraying them as police officers with absolutely no brains or smthing, basically like robots who can only take orders and attack attack attack. hopefully this was meant to be some kind of joke, otherwise i really pity the actors who played the octb squad

esp. in the office...they march instead of walk.....they talk like as if they r in an army....

at first when the OCTB first appeared i found it funny when they were all stiff .. but later i got use to it ... it was funny how they just marched into the room in episode 1 and then marched out again ... it was funny in epsiode 13 or 14 when two of the OCTB members were waiting for the lift and the guy from the C team asked if they had another mission/case and the guy was like "if i tell you i'll have to kill you" ... hehehehe i found that part funny

They look very serious and demanding. I find it funny when they march like robot, and kick the doors hard to cpature the bad guys. These guys never smile. They take the work serious, and have no time for games. They have a high pitch tone and do not stare directly at you when they talk. I guess they are trained to be like that.

haha, when they first appeared, I thought they were ridiculous. however after that initial reaction, all the scenes with them in it were quite hilarious because of how stupid they looked.

Yeah, I also like the first scene where Shirley's bf, Gregory Lee and his co-workers, used wires and catched those thieves.

The guy who usually matches with Gregory Lee winked at him when he caught those guys in the pix above, I thought they are gay in this serie???

Also, the part, where they talked to the citizens and didn't even look at their face. Act like robot like some of you wrote in here.

In other TVB cop series, those OKei cops are small. But, in here, they are funny and "look" dumb/robot.

hahaha!! the OCTB in this series reminds me of USA's Swap team or something.... it was funny, how it seems like they have no feelings, all they do is catch the criminals and suspects with skillful kungfu and skills they have.

The OCTB guys, 1st, the 2 annoying guys that thinks they look like hot shots, always kicks doors and making funny poses each time. The 2 guys under Mark was okay, Daniel was funny but the other dude was boring to watch. Then Bowie's partner, I like him, he's in almost every tvb series. Madam was okay, she just leaves halfway through the show.

it was so retarted when they roll on the floor and kick the door open . there really is no point in doing that , to me it just makes more noise . but i liked the scene where that guy in the OCTB bent the laundry hanger pipe thingy and swung and kicked that other guy . no one would do that in real life (in my opinion) it just seems too unlikely ... iono thats what i think
