I'm glad to see that this series has a bit of humour in it.. it makes the series more interesting to watch..
Just in the first episode alone..
- Wong Hei's EXTREME attention to detail before leaving his house! Making sure the faucets & stovewere turned off and the windows/doors were closed. And ironing his tie!

'
- The Infernal Affairs rooftop scene.. and the comment that Bowie's co-worker made about them watching too many HK movies.
- When the viewer realises that Bowie and Christine were actually sitting at the same table in the restaurant..

i know what is with wong hei being so attentive to every detail before leaving the house. that was really weird, wonder if theyll give a reason for that.
the rooftop scene was nice. i have neversseen infernal affairs before so i still thougt it was creative.
the restaurant scene btwn bowie nad christine was like an aww moment. really cool.
i like the scene where wong hei and "ming" sir were leaving the car and the gangsta came up to them and started talkiing trash. funny how wong hei starts taking pictures of his car and the guy and says that if something happens to the car, the guy will be screwd.

It was so funny when Wong Hei was driving Maggie and she was getting so exasperated with his "extreme attention to detail".. from slowing down because of the "old green" to getting out of his car cuz he drove over a small rock.. Maggie wanted to..

I know which scene you meant. Not only the impatient Samantha, I also want to

Mark for being so... slow (but safe) . ha...ha...
But later, we will see this opposite attraction thing happen between them.

In episode 3, Maggie's sidekick says that the women's restroom is a place for gossip and rumours.. and then Maggie replies.. Yeah, 20 years ago!
I thought that was pretty amusing..

I like the car ride scene too. Their dialogue funny too.
Oh, on the topic of hair, Wong Hei has an assistant, who gossips about peeps in the office? Don't know his name. But what's with his hair also?
Anyone felt the same way with his hair?

He's Daniel (Wai Kar Hong). The way he was gossipping his bosses in eps 3, He...he..., Mark (Wong Hei) almost could not stand it. But it is funny.
His hair is also part of the gag of this series, I think. It's pretty annoying, the way he threw his hair bang.

It's just part of Wong Hei's character to be a very detail-oriented and cautious person. This characteristic was again hinted when Wong Hei was rambling on about traffic lights while driving Maggie home and also refusing to date that long-haired girl.
Speaking of which, I like how the personalities of the characters in this series are not flatly told in the first episode. It takes a bit of digging into and is more thought-provoking than your typical TVB dramas. Some may find this style refreshing...but how much the "si-lai's" appreciate this is another thing since their viewership affects ratings most.

Pity you haven't seen Infernal Affairs because I'm anticipating more movie parodies in the coming eps. In episode 4, the scene involving Bowie, his colleague and one of the police moles on the upper floor of a "cha chaan teng" (茶餐廳) was taken directly from Johnnie To's "PTU". I suppose you have to have seen the movie to understand the humour behind it.
This scene to be exact.
-->
The exaggerated movements of the OCTB team is another farce. Seeing how producer Chik is parodying the works of acclaimed HK directors like Andrew Lau/Alan Mak of "Infernal Affairs" and Johnnie To of "PTU"...maybe the OCTB robotic march is lampooning Jackie Chan or HK action movies in general?

the driving scene is ep 2 was hilarious. maggie was also questioning wong hei why he was driving so slow and and he said about the speed limit and that it was gonna turn red and doesnt wanted to be ticketed. and then he stops the cars b/c he thinks a small rock hit it or something. it was hilarious, i was waiting for maggie to leave exasperated.

That part was so funny. She was in such a hurry and Wong Hei was taking his time, trying to be safe . lols
The small rock part was probably the funniest lols . And then the driving oh so slowly when it was a green light

In eps 5, when Sam tricked Mark to chased her stolen car, she remind him again about the "old green" thing. ha...ha...
About HK movies parody, although there are no scenes, but Sam talked about the title of her magazine article. It copied Wai Kar Fai / Johnny To's movie : "To Many Ways to be No.1" 《一個字頭的誕生》 .

in the real movie PTU, the PTU lady is Maggie Shiu

And this are the scenes copying PTU movie:

the conversation goes like this : (U = undercover T = tony Y = Yeung, bowie's coworker)
When the PTU cops walk upstairs, U low down his head avoiding eye contact.
T : what happen? u know those PTU?
U : One of them was my classmate is police academy.
T : You gonna have deep trouble if he recognize you.
Y : Why do you choose to meet us place at a "cool" place like this?

It was too funny when Wong Hei ran the red light in episode 11. He was following Maggie home in his car and she didn't slow down for the "old green".. as a result, he ended up driving through a red light and picked up a speeding ticket in the process..
And outside her apt, he answers his cell phone but ducks under his seat so that Maggie doesn't notice him.. AHAHAHA

LOL! I love that scene too. Then to make it worse, he arranged all the dishes and changed their names before-hand. Then when it was actually brought out, it was super awkward and hilarious! LOL! The funniest part is that they ended up sharing the meals anyway after the whole misunderstandings and sarcastic remarks. The part where they were both full so Daniel told the other guy to cut the cake in half so they could bring it home instead. Then the other guy kept shifting it, so Daniel got up and hold the other guy's hand to cut it. The chef, waiters, & waitresses were lining up to stare at them! LOL!
Another part is when William hang all the lucky charms (forgot what's it called) in everyone's office. Then Kim sir called him in and scold at him again! LOL! Poor guy! Was thinking for their own good.
