SM Town is where all artists under the label SM Entertainement come together and sing a couple of songs together or diff songs in the album. Not really a group per-se, just depends who's under the SM company at the time.

People who are no longer under SM would include Shinhwa and Fly To The Sky. The more popular ones still under SM are Boa, Kang Ta, DBSK and they also released a new SM Town album this year including Super Junior as well as other not so popular artists like CSJH.

how's ftts not in it anymore weren't they in the video of Red Sun? SM Entertainment dude supposedly beat the ppl, that's why Shinhwa left SMEntertainments, but I'm not sure if that's a rumor or not. SOO YEAH!!! SMTOWN ROX MY SOX but I'm not wearing any soooooooooo yeah!!! the only thing bad about SMtown I find is that they depend a lot on looks but it's alright now we got hot guys and guys who can sing too or rap or play guitar or something musical.

yeah i heard about the rumoured beatings. But i hear there are ALOT of trainees being lined up. Like Super Junior has 13 members apparently they might make a female version. O_o and there are many trainees that are really young but whether they are good enough to debut or not is still to be decided.

I just saw some old SM videos and i thought they were so cute! These are old school back in the days when H.O.T were still around with S.E.S. Don't know about you guys but i thought the winter albums were the best maybe it's the carolly side of me but the videos were cute too. lik the My Angel My Light MV with all the lil stories and acting.

Well there have been cases before where people who trained at SM never debuted and left.

I remember one example was Hyori Lee. When she left to join a defferent company, they even said they didn't need to train her because she had already done it at SM.

But i think your right about SM now, they might be scared they're gonna lose someone good so they rather debut them altogether, regardless if they're good at singing/dancing. I mean for guys it'll be easier to win fan girls hearts etc.

There are just too many people in SuJu, i mean singing wise they're not ALL that great. Plus there are alot of uneven air time and singing time each members get, so i kinda feel bad for some of the memebrs who don't get promoted much.

Well, these are just rumours guys, i don't really believe them because if sm does indeed beat their artistes then why are groups like tvxq and super junior still in there... it doesn't make any sense...

well if you think about it, way way back in the old days, teacher had a right to beat up their student as a disciplinary measure and the student can't do any thing about it. same thing applied here. And maybe they think this is my only way to sucess, take some punishment now so that later on i can be sucessful and LEAVE this damn place. And last but not least, because they signed a contract for, say 5 years, they wouldn't be able to back out of it or face a lawsuit which they can't afford in the first place.

I heard about some "incidents" too at SM town. I hope they aren't true, but it's hard to ignore it when you hear about it.

Itsn't KangTa, like, part owner of SM Town now? If he is, hopefully he is trying to make things better since he has been through it all and knows what it feels like.

I do agree that SM is having too many trainees, n sm town is getting very large, but i dont really mind, its jst that sm should stop taking in any1 that looks good or something and then train them.. I heard they have lyk a 200 trainees ?
Suju is a big group..but they're SO COOL~!! hahah..i lyk BoA, DBSK, SuJu and KangTa the most in SM.

i was watching the sm auditions and they were nice. you can kind of get a feel of how the atmosphere there was.
Some of the auditions were weird...sorry to say. but then others were cute and good.

yeah there's 40+ people feat. one song. Mostly they share a line or sing a line. some of them doesn't even get a part to sing. Take Heebon and Isak for example.

I really miss seeing the old SM artists together and the whole former SM Town family... Makes me miss them even more when I go back and rewatch the MVs with: Shinhwa, Fly To The Sky, H.O.T, S.E.S, Blackbeat, ShinVi, Isak N Jiyeon, M.I.L.K, (Dana, BoA)... Huh! Seeing them all together just brings back memories! Sadly, none of these groups are active under SM anymore, besides BoA & a couple members fom these groups (Not talking about members of these former groups that are now with currently active groups in SM, but just the group in general)...
