Plot: The occasional cool action sequence redeems this otherwise ridiculous and laughable action thriller. The gorgeous actresses are well-doubled, and hold the screen pretty well, but the undeveloped script, massive plot holes and generally poor direction doom matters. This is eye candy par excellence, but little else.

Unfortunately, I didn't like this movie at all. Here's some pix anyway..

i so love the first part of this movie...where shu qi walks in all white, with the song "close to you" in the background...while kicking butts...YEAH!

the movie is ok. Just that it relies too much on the fleshy flesh.
The girls just shows off too much stuffs and vicky looks way old in here. Black rings and wrinkles...

i didn't see any wrinkles.... hah and vicki lookz young not old

i like this show a lot... the part when Sue [shuqi] die is so touching...

Well, I do agree that the part where Shu Qi died was sad, and very unexpected, since she was portrayed as the lead. But the movie is so far-fetched. It reminds me of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle but eve more unbelievable.

I just watched this last weekend! at last, definitely cool. Like to see women kick as$ this time- because I usually see men who plays the heroes. Anyhow, Shu Qi was really great, I felt so down when she got shot she was supposed to be so good in killing people. Anyhow she and Vicki looked so good playing sisters.
I don't like Karen's role here, don't know if she's a tomboy here or what!!

Heh.. I thought this movie was a joke. I watched it right after Charlie's Angels, and because they made So Close after Charlie's Angels, I kept comparing. It's totally incomparable though because So Close was so silly.

I actually really enjoyed watching this movie. I really liked the action sequence and the side storyline between Vicki Zhao and Karen Mok was pretty funny. A plus factor is that it also had Song Seung Hun's cameo in here.

This movie is sooo good, it raised my future expectations of Vicki Zhao. Shu Qi was great but Karen looks impassive sometimes.

yeah i agree! this movie was sooo good!! I LOVE THE FIGHTING SCENES. it was suppose to be a remake of charlie's angels, but i thought this movie was more SERIOUS than charlie's angel. if u think about it, its not that much similar to charlie's angel. just because its 3 girls, fighting, and good looking! the girls weren't even part of the same "association." one was a cop and the other two are "forced" to be assasinators. it was sooo sad that shu qi died!! i didn't want her to die! it was all vicki's fault.

I watched this movie 2 years back in the theater. I would say tht the overall movie was to promote the 3 "Charlie Angels" (Karen Mok, Shu Qi & Zhao Wei). Anyway, the movie does not have any value.

I say Corey Yuen is the real MASTER! He can make any star look great... Jacky Chan, Jet Li, and now the SO CLOSE girls. Charlie's Angels cant compare to this kind of girl flick!

my favorite character is Karen actually in here. I saw it awhile ago so don't remember the whole details. I thought it was ok...not great. I just remembered liking Karen in there.

i liked this movie a lot...i cried when Shu Qi died though. and then i got obsessed with that song they played throughout the whole movie, '(They Long To Be) Close To You'. and all that techonology was awesome, especially that system they had at home.

and yeah, it was pretty weird seeing Vicki and Karen as lesbians...except they never really made that clear in the movie.

and on the lesbian subject...i think this is the only movie i've seen so far that has any lesbian actions in it...it's more common in TV shows.

This movie is good, the fighting scenes are great, all the three girls look so cool when they fight. Shu Qi was very good in here, but so sad she was died, she is a very nice sister and so smart too.
