Poor Gillan! This is such a bad violation of privacy and shouldn't be allowed at all. Now these reporters are soo low and will steep to any level just to make some news on behalf of a celebs indecency.....which is damn right rude and ignorant. We should boycott all these gossips mags and from us not buying them the market won't be there for them to print such trash again.

I feel this magazine went to far. I think Twins and EEG should file a legal lawsuit against the reporter and the company for violations.
blizzard0503
Aug 25 2006 2 53 AM

I cannot believe they would go so low for a few pennies. Not to mention so far to invade privacy. This is just unacceptable. Realistically though. Even if we write enough complaints to the HK gov. Television and Entertainment Licensing Auth. for them to act on the situation. The fines as I read from above is quite insignificant. The number of Magz they sell in this issue would more than make up for it.
Is there anyway we (all the fans) can form some sort of organisation (with funds) to launch our own private investigations + take pics of their private lives (CEO, board, photographers and all those involved) in an equally unethical manner and expose that to media? Give them a taste of their own medicine... + significantly damage the company's reputation, funds, etc...?
If anyone is thinking of taking the initiative to do this, please let me know. I'll back you all the way. I'm not cantonese so its a little difficult to start anything on my own. Support Gill and all other artistes!
Gotta make them pay for their actions.

That is seriously wrong. The person who took the photos does not have any humanity in them, surely a real person would have more respect for others. The tabloid company that allowed the photos to be printed should be sued for every penny. The money does not have to all go to Gillian it could go to a foundation that protects rights of people who are constantly in public eye.

Hong Kong reporters are horrible and really going overboard. Gillian surely has the right to sue. I don't know why they would go this far as to do this just for money...celebs are people too, it's bad enough that they're being followed and reported everywhere and now this too. Invasion of privacy, tsk. Changing in the dark? That's retarded...they shouldn't be ripped of their right to change like a normal person...in the light. I can't believe this happened. I hope they find out who did this and give him/her what he/she deserves. They need to bring justice to this so it doesn't happen to anybody else.

you are aware that if it wasnt for reporters this section called "asian entertainment news" wouldnt even exist. along with many others. anyways i couldnt care less about this. mani lok even said no breasts were shown in the photos so whats the big deal here? privacy of celebrities are violated everyday; maybe gillian chung is becoming too snobbish or a dramaqueen to make such a big deal out of it. and btw, I cant believe AF would email about such a small insignificant matter.

I bet that you're not a girl and probably some hard-core Gillian hater or something because I believe many people here, who are not even her fans or are not so fond of her, can even say a few words of sympathy. Yes, if not for those reporters, this section probably wouldnt even exist. So what? Does that give them the right to violently invaded someone's and esp. a girl's privacy like that? Shoot, it would be overboard to say that all reporters are low, but in this kind of matter, these stupid reporters are. Just because no breasts are shown or that celebrities' privacy has been violated these days, it's supposed to make it okay? I don't see anything "snobbish" or how she's a "dramaqueen" just because she feels upset about such violation to her personal space. It's important to a girl and if people respect that morality, they'll understand and consider it a big deal too, like many people on AF and around the world did. Many people have been upsetted by this, many organization that made to protect artists have gotten into action without needing to be called by Gillian. Why? Because they all consider this a big deal as well. Don't you think people know how to interpret whether it's worth it or not? Just because we want to read news about showbiz, we have to stoop that low and let those reporters set boundaries of our morality for us? Gosh, because there're still people like that that there're still people buying, accepting, and even enjoying such a degrading act like that. Just because celebrities' privacy has been violated anyway, then we just let those reporters go on without ever telling them to stop. Oh great, the ozone is partially destroyed anyway, so why don't we let it go on, what's a big deal?

And if you notice, it's these kinds of reporters that gave a bad reputation to the media world. I wonder if some of these "news" would really be consider news when most parts of the article is based on exaggeration and imagination to tempt the audience to buy the magazine
It's not just Gillian Chung who is making a big deal out of this, it's everyone who heard of this and have a conscience to feel sympathy; to know how serious these things are. Just because this kind of privacy is violated everyday and unfortunately these celebrities isn't able to bring justice upon themselves doesn't mean that this event should be excused. It gives more reason to bring justice to Gillian and further more, justice to other victims.

cool.
obviously im not a girl but not a hater either. i couldnt care less about her or this issue. didnt even know about it until AF emailed me.
shes a celebrity, that sort of things (paparrazi, invasion of privacy) are what celebs gotta deal with and she knows that. its always been like that. its part of her profession. just like basketball players have to deal with trashtalking and injuries and whatnot.
so excuse me if im not gonna post something like "omg no!! i feel so sorry for gillian!!!" like about 200 others have. sure its tough, but thats it.
other people go through far worse things everydayanyways i cant arsed to get into this. only got involved and posted because AF felt it was necessary to email me about this insignificant thing. then i feel obliged to give my opinion.

Personally, half the time reporters in HK report about actors and singer, they aren't quite true. These singers and actors have been going through things like being followed and asked personal questions. But taking pictures of someone changing is totally invading someone's privacy. They are illegally taking pictures and i think that government and the victim should call the police since this is a felony of crime.

Thats wrong i cant believe they can just take pictured of artists in the backstage. I thought ppl cant go in the backstage without passes. And plus looking at someone changing is illegal better yet looking AND taking pictures?!
i also heard tht ppl went on yahoo massage borad or somethin n left bad comments abt ah gil....
i understand y ppl do theses things!!!!! wot is da world comin 2?????
altho i'm not a fan of twins nor really like them, i think we shouldn't be looking at who it is that we may like/dislike but rather the issue, and it's kinda obvious that it's a BIG Invasion of Privacy and the Hong Kong Gov. should take action on this problem instead of waiting for complaints all day.
