I love the ancient hairstyle, like the one we can see in TVB ancient series. I'm looking for how to make it. If someone know can he teach me or tell me where I can find some explanation for how to make it.

Well first you have to grow your hair down to about your waist, heh.
That's about how long the average female hairstyle is.

If your hair isn't long enough, just get extensions.

hmm i think the ones in TVB are kinda hard to do but i got these sort of ancient looking sticks that you can shove in your bun and there you go all ancient looking.

i want to do it too.....i love the way they hair looks....so pretty

well, its quite hard actually.
the ones in the TVB series arent real. they just take nicely already style fake hair and they attach it to the actress to make it look ancient.

it would require a lot of hairspray, time, and effort to get the ancient hairstyle look

2 years ago.. i went to china to get some studio pics.. i got to choose 5 sets of costumes and one of them was an ancient costume.. i just took this pic seconds ago with my camera fone so its in an EXTREME bad quality [don't laff!!! lols] but just to give yu an idea on how my ancient hairstyle came out...

so yea... really blurry because theres not enough light... anyways... half of those hair yu see on me arent mine! lols... those braids are fake but if yur hair is long enough yu can do that... the hairstylist twisted my hair [like how girls would show up to their prom] then just braided it and added ancient-like accessories... hope that helps! feel free to ask me questions.. i'll try to answer them... =]

they were pros who did my hair.. it took them maybe less than 10 minutes because the braids were fake.. just clip ons... if it wasnt for the twists.. might be done in like 5 mins because the twists were my real hair

i think girls look very pretty one the ancient chinese hairstyle.

i think u just have to get creative..randomly braid and pin..without the fear of tangling your hair

oh yea... one important thing... use LOTS N LOTS of hairspray... it took 3 ppl to get the hairspray out my hair after the photoshoot... ahhahas ' [more tips above... scroll up]

the easiest way is probly to wear a wig!

Well you have to tell me where you did it. because i going to china this october with my school. If i have time, I, will definely go, and i will try to learn how they make it. If I success, I will tell you all how to make it ok.

i think the ancient chinese hair style is beautiful. with all that beautiful jewelry on one's head and it always looks so perfectly neat! i want a hairstyle like that =)

Wouldn't it take a lot of time to do your hair everyday like that? Doesn't look like it could be done in a few min. with all those thingys they put in their hair in the movies.

hehe it probably died out because it takes so long to do! ppl nowadays are always rushed for time and those hairstyles aren't very practical either, although they would be nice for special events

yes,the chinese ancient hairsyle is so nice ..but do u dare to walk out from ur house with the chinese ancient hairstyle on ur head? ..u will look so 'special' ' .. anyway, if it is only for taking photograph, then it will be very beautiful to tie those hairstyles.. but..maybe v can 'improve' those hairstyles to let them suit to the modern societies..take for example, ppl combine the western fashion into the cheongsom and make it look so 'in' and beautiful..

i like those ancient hairstyles. since i am a guy, i also wanna try the ancient hairstyles for guy but the problem is how to grow hair until so long. sure hot. those heroes really look handsome and "ying" in those hairstyles. COOL

I love traditional hair styles (chinese) the one Lethal Weapons the Raymond Lam's hair is pretty awesome..too bad my hair's texture is just too bad for that kind of hair style...

in every chiense movie i c, i c every movie star wif the chiense hairstye. When the guys hav the long ponytail behind their back, it makes them very cool looking and strong. Some of ma freinds actually wan to copy the hairstyle n grow their hari out jus for dat. Im so used to seein movie stars wif that hairstyle, that wen i c them in magazines, they look wierd witf their old haristyle.

i think ancient chinese hairstyles were so pretty!...i tried to do some before =P...hehe it was really hard to do.....but i managed to make something simple haha =P....its fun doing it too haha
