IMO, this is a very difficult question that I'm dying to know the answer to and I can't even answer myself because all three couples are my favourites just like my friend sandalls and another friend.

My favourite pairing of all three is TR. But as much as I love them together, I won't vote for them cos they don't really have much chemistry onscreen and Ron's acting is not up to par with Tavia's yet. I hope the TR's fans won't hunt me down.

No doubt RT have lotsa chemistry together. I hate to say this but Tavia certainly has more chemistry with Raymond than with Frankie in FTF. When they are not even any remotely close to being lovers in it.

I can't speak for BT since I have yet to see them in a drama together.

I'm a total Raymond fan, so I say FungYi....well okay, actually currently I even became a FungYi fan, oh well, I think they both have potential. Having seen FTL and witnessing Bota's chemistry, I think Tavia have more chemistry with Raymond but Bota is a close second.

among the 3 guys, only raymond is the most mature one and in terms of looks, they are pretty compatible. ron on the other hand, sorry to his fans but i find his acting... a flatline. as for bosco, i like this cute boy but he is too baby childish to match with tavia's mature feel, though ya, at times tavia looks like a baby herself.

It has to be Raymond & Tavia. They have so much chemistry onscreen and are great friends in real life. Like Louis & Jessica, both couples have awesome chemistry. are good friends in real life.
Even career-wise, they similar.
Of the siu sangs, Raymond is like Louis, great at acting & singing, looks really good when tanned & has a killer smile & to die for good-looks.
Of the soon-to-be fa dans, Tavia like Jessica has a great reputation and image with fans, she has the likeable girl-next-door looks, they're both very pretty and they both did not need to enter beauty pageants to get to where they are today, both actresses are hard-working and despite all the obstacles they both show that hard work does count for something.

I'm not a big fan of LJ, but I don't think any of these pairings can 'take over'. Since I favor Bosco though, I voted for BoTa.

Louis and Jess never appealed to me at all as the best couple. I don't think any of these new generation of stars will be the next Golden TVB couple but I choose FungYi.

Well, if I remember correctly, which I am sure I do, I voted for TARO, but that was because I voted before I watched DB. Now I feel very guilty for BOTA because I like BOTA around as much as TARO now.

Some people are voting for fungyi just for the fact that Ray is closest to what Louis is, lol. Maybe we shouldn't have compared the couples to LJ at all.

Well, I wasn't a fan of LJ to be honnest, I was too young when I watched the investigation series to see the 'chemistry' or remember it lol but Fungyi was the first time TVB impacted big time on me, by far surpassing my old time favs Marco and Joyce, Esther and Bobby etc... as ep 42 of GF still burns in my memory.

I actually wasn't a LJ fan also after watching DIF IV and Man's Bestfriend. I actually turned into their fans after reading fanfics. But then, I have always liked Louis and Jessica individually so it is easy for me to like them together.

Back to the topic, I think most TARO fans become their fans after seeing them off-screen rather than for TA. When Ron first came out, I thought he looks good and his acting was not bad in FTL for a newcomer I thought. Ron was my favourite out of the new generation bunch last time and Tavia has always been my favourite, so of course I like to see them together. Moreover, the scene where Ron visited Bosco and commented how Tavia is very elegant is so cute. I feel that they have chemistry already there, even though it was just a brief short comment. I actually wished it was a triangle between Bosco Tavia and Ron. I was very happy when I knew that they are doing the radio show - first time pairing up. But after I see more pictures of them offscreen, I love them even more. Their chemistry offscreen is just needless to say.

It's maybe that I'm never a Raymond fan, that's why I'm not a fungyi fans. Despite how hard I try to see their chemistry in every series they starred together (especially Golden Faith and TOB), I just don't feel the love. Sorry, fungyi fans. They are great actress and actor individually, but somehow they don't create the romantic spark for me.

Anyone that visited the BOTA forum should know that I start becoming a BOTA fan not from FTL but from DB. I saw them in FTL but I was not too fond of Bosco's character there. I won't say that I'm a Bosco fan as I only like watching him with Tavia. But when I watch DB, I can really see the spark, the sweetness, the love between Bosco and Tavia. Partly, it's thanks to the story as well, but I cannot imagine that if it is acted by someone else, I don't think I will be that hooked to the story. I think BOTA has made their relationship more in-depth with their little gestures. And although TOB has moments of showing Ray's one-sided love for Tavia and DB shows Bosco's one-sided love for Tavia, I can feel from Bosco but I don't know why I can't feel for Raymond. And despite Ron's limited acting skill and helplessly little screentimes in TA, I can actually feel more from Ron on his affection for Tavia rather than Ray in both GF and TOB.



It's funny that although I think episode 42 of GF was very well done and it does stick into my mind too. However, what I feel more in episode 42 is the feeling of betrayal more than love.

lol, I actually know that I'm the minority. I can see from the result of the poll that fungyi is dominating the result by half. Most people either like fungyi exclusively or fungyi and bota or fungyi and taro or all fungyi bota taro. But I'm the minority who likes taro and bota but not fungyi.

I know that Tavia and Ron knows each other for so long. They are known as good long-term best friends. But actually, who knows Tavia first?

Ron - from dancing class, but visited Raymond during acting class time --> meaning visiting Tavia too? They were caught doing bowling together and that was far before their collaboration in TOB, right?

Raymond - apparently, friends from acting class. So he knows Tavia around the same time as Ron?

Bosco - but Bosco mentioned that he was living in the same neighbourhood as Tavia? So does that mean Bosco is actually the one who knows Tavia first?

Well, it is not that important I guess. But I just like to know.

I think Raymond and Tavia definitely has this physical attraction whenever they're together, and they probably look like one of the world's best looking couple, but somehow their characters....aren't really fitting as a couple.

On the other hand, Bosco and Tavia, although lacking the physical chemistry, I saw the unique type of chemistry in Find the Light. Their chemistry comes to life through their individual characters coming together as a couple in the series. It's sort of the same with Michael and Kenix & LJ, their characters were interesting in itself, and when they come together as a couple, they just fit like a puzzle piece match. Simply mesmerizing to watch. Sometimes it's not just about chemistry, it's about the writing for the characters and the couple. I know FTL is just one serie, but I think BT wouldn't disappoint in HOG or DB.

jadedreams27, have you watched DB? I become a BOTA fan after DB and I think their chemistry is even better in DB than FTL. As for HOG, their screentime is pathetically little, I can feel that they cut so much scenes from BOTA that each scene doesn't seem to connect with the following scene, but I think their chemistry is still very evident. I'm definitely looking forward to watching BOTA's own series, one that they don't have to share major screentime with others.
