I think that TVB should remake The Bund (Shanghai Tan) because it is a very good story. The old ones starring Chow Yun Fat got so famous and this story is totally classical. It talks about major gangs at the end of that period. The romance story was also great.

In the mid 80s, Chow Yun Fat has already made a similar series like the Bund. Allthough the story has totally nothing to with the Bund, TVB obviously tried to catch up some viewers because of Chow making a series in the same time and enviroment as in the Bund.
Later in the beginning of the 90s, Once upon a time in Shanghai starred by Sunny Chan and Nadia Chan has also the Bund's taste.

They ald remake it once in the 1990s .... no point remaking again now ..... keep on remaking film is so boring .. they might as well think of some better new sotryline

I think The Bund is one of those series that shouldn't be remade. The original is far too classic to be remade. Once Upon A Shanghai was alright, but it wasn't exceptional either. Even though Sunny Chan did look like the young, handsome and dashing Chow Yun Fat, he isn't Chow Yung Fat lol. So no, I think they should just leave it as it is, and make new Shanghai type of series like they did with Michael Mui and Anne in Au Revoir Shanghai.

The Bund has always remained one of my favorites. May be I have just seen too many remakes gone bad, and so I would be very nervous if someone tries to remake it again. Most of the time a remake is not as good as the original.
