I thought I would never have a chance to watch the previews if no one uploaded it to Youtube
Initally I thought after the movie ends[that means after the credits & etcs], they would at least be showing the preview for The Death Noe: The Last Name, but unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to watch it at the ]movie theater
Anyway, I read that the Director and Tatsuya Fujiwara mentioned the ending for Light will be compeltey different from the comics itself! o, I am currently hoping that either Light or L will not die in the sequel ^^

I belive that in the trailer of the last name , theres a scene but very abrupt where L had been pawned!

So probably L is the last name?? According to what I read Death note is divided into 3 or 4 parts.

Yea that book is a death note...but I think the words "Death Note" is in Jap or sth right? Light's copy is in English because Ryuk wanted to ensure that the whoever picks it up has a high chance to understanding the instructions in it...hence the English.




Argh! I was hoping that what love*knots said was true...Like many others, I don't want L to die! He's like the bestest character!!! I was crying when he got killed in the manga!

Man...can't wait for 28 Dec to come! But they had i planned quite well huh? Death Note 1 just ~2 weeks before the major 'A' and 'O' levels in Singapore, and 28th Dec, a while after the exams! yay! SOmething to look forward to!

I like the manga, but when i saw the trailer it was kinda disappointing, especially the cast... kinda overrated

I dont know how in the movie but in the anime or manga it was one of the Death God who wrote L's name to the Death Note at the cost of his/her own life. Its connected to Misa I think and once a death god expand one's life it will cost theirs AFAIK.

I still haven't seen it! I really want to though, because I read the comics. From what I've heard, it is good.

The posters look really great... and so does the trailer. Makes me want to see it more. ^^

I love this movie. The manga is great as well, and i can't wait to watch the 2nd movie. The anime is also being released now...pretty interesting as well ^^. I guess i just love everything Death Note haha

I have read some magazines. Apparently there are lots of complaint about Fujiwara Tatsuya as Raito. It's written everywhere that Fujiwara can't play Raito who is set as a iQ180 genius..Somehow they complained about his look, saying that he got a big face -.- some even said that Yamapi will make a better Raito.

I'm not really believe in those, and i think that they have really make a perfect match of L and Raito!! Gambateh!!

i also have saw that article.. but i think Fujiwara Tatsuya acted very well.. even though i also wished yamapi can act in this movie.. Matsuyama Kenichi is really very handsome.. as i just saw a pictures when both of them went to Hong Kong to promote death note part 2, he was so handsome.. very different from the movie.. did anyone know if beside he acted in this movie, did he acted in other drama or movie? or this is the first movie that he acted?

light/raito was actually quite a good fella at first.....but den later became so wicked..kill the FBI n his gf but mayb if the police did not intervene he would not do it but then this movie wouldnt have been interesting ...... no matter what, Death Note rocks...i don't rilly suppot light in the end but i like Fujiwara Tatsuya too =) ......... L, Matsuyama Kenichi is still the best! oh yar...the anime is great too .... i rilly admire the writer ...... can actually come up with such a good story plot!

NOOOOO.light or tatsuya doesnt have a big face! and i feel that he protray raito well.not as wicked as e manga's raito but still as good.i like his acting though.haha.

For those that really read the manga before watching the movie, you would have realised that there are many things to pick on about the movie... For example, the mole on L's nose... Either they've neglected it[but I doubt that is what happened] or they just didn't bother to cover it up.. Another example, Misa's hair... She has golden hair in the manga, not black... Another weird thing is, since when did Raito have a girlfriend???

Personally, I think this cosplayer can match with the L in the movie... Just that she wins when she doesn't have a mole on her nose and has flawless skin...

man, i totally loved this movie! i'm watching the anime and i was so happy to see that the characters really resembled the anime in the movie! i only skimmed thru thru the manga, and thought it was really good. i can't wait for the second movie! i was kinda disappointed with the shinigami tho. in the movie, it looked too fake. kinda reminded me of a talking muppet.

this movie is a must watch. it was GREAT!

I've waiting for this movie for longggg time, don't know it been release.
Have to find it now.

I love the manga but kinda feel that the movie boring.....the movie is okay but boring for me. What I anticipated don't happen such as the suspense when light implement the plan. Besides should really change the lead Fujiwara Tatsuya with someone else that look mature and calm.......not someone that look like a street yakuza kinda look.

I thought Light was good until he killed the FBI agent.
