anyway I will say SM Entertainment has the most success cause they have BoA, DBSG, Super Junior, Kangta, CSJH, etc. and formerly have H.O.T (except for Kangta who is still w/ them), S.E.S, Shinhwa and FTTS

SM is no doubt the biggest entertainment company in korea.

i definitely can say this bcoz they produced the best korean talents....

There's no doubt that SM is the biggest and most successful company out of all of them because they produce the most popular korean talents like DBSK, Super Junior, BoA, H.O.T and the list goes on...................in terms of talent I think they all produce singers with talent but in the end I guess it's your choice to decide on who produces better singers since we all have different preferences.......

For singing and singers, SM Entertaintment is the most successful company. It produced BoA, Kang-Ta, DBSK, CSJH ant etc. They're like extremely popular in overseas and Korea!!! For acting, it's YG & JYP..but Rain & Se7en are popular too.

I used to say SM Ent, but they have disapointed me lately and i'm starting to shift to YG and other places. SM have really been able to market their acts REALLY well. But they're starting to get money hungry and starting to cut corners.

The only decent acts left are probably DBSK, KangTa and maybe Boa because of her success in Japan but i don't think she's that great of a singer, quality wise. CSJH are good but again they don't get much attention from SM so aren't as popular. But i have no doubt they are very good at what they do. I mean some of the best acts have been created by them through intense training etc. like Shinhwa, H.O.T. , FTTS and S.E.S. But lately with the likes of Super Junior i can't see any GOOD singers in there. But they are marketed very well in shows and everything so people like them as them not as singers.

JYP has Rain and L/Im Jeong Hee who's a bit too like Alicia Keys for me. But i guess they have pretty good singers just not alot of acts coming through or making themselves distinguishable from other acts. Rain and Lim Jeoung Hee are also starting to hit the American market which is something that SM have yet to do so who knows what this might lead too if JYP can subbessfully push Rain through then they might take over as the more successful company.

YG Ent are very good, almost with SM but their marketing lets them down they don't strive for as much marketing as much as SM they are a very discrete company who lets music speak for themselves, which i appreciate more. They are also starting to expand to other countries with Se7en such as China, Japan and possibly America.

Shinhwa are with Good Ent but they only have Shinhwa for now and the new girl Sun Min who i say has great potential and has already established herself in Japan.

for success i guess it'd be SM Ent... cos i always hear SM Ent! they have very popular groups.. DBSK, Super Junior and BOA are enuff to prove their success..

For now, I think is SM Entertainment. Most of the singers I know are from SM entertainment. Kangta is with SM Entertainment too. lol!
On the other hand, I only know se7en who is from YG Family. So, popular-wise, is SM Entertainment.

I think SM is the most successful. BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY PRODUCE THE BEST TALENTS.

i must say that they have bought out some of the best and popular singers in korea like they created DBSG< shinhwa, FTTS, kangta and Boa who are extremely popular now and all have great talent

i got to say sm...because their singers are always well-known...and not to mention talented.........

KangTa's voice is AMAZING. I hardly hear anyone disagreeing with this.
BoA's voice is, granted, not as AMAZING but it's still pretty good and it's versatile.
TVXQ is really good together; individually not so much, but yeah, they're a group so that's all that matters.
CSJH harmonizes really well also, and they have Dana! She's great. <3
They also had Shinhwa, who are FREAKING AMAZING.
And H.OT. who are also FREAKING AMAZING!
Super Junior -- together, they don't sound all that great, they're medicore singers. BUT the talent they have individually is amazing. :]

In comparison to the other companies, who only have one or two 'good-great' (YG's Se7en) singers and many other mediocre singers (or entertainers, such as YG's Lexy), the quality and quantity of their musicians is top-notch, and they advertise and market their talents like crazy, while in other companies you need a really solid first album or single to get known ebcause they don't have as many connections. SM is by far the greatest -- IN COMPARISON, that is. If you studied SM individually, it'd probably be less impressive, but considering their competition, they're grade-A.

and the only compnay i've ever heard of is SM
so i'd have to say SM... but then there are also some other really good artist form other companies

i chose SM ent. for both ... well.. i think that their artists have become really famous..? and uhh.. the company has more success..?! ahhh... but i Love Rain and Big Bang! haha..

I voted for SM in both categories. SM is mad successful. Their singers are dominating the Asia scene. SM's singers IMO are really talented in singing and dancing. As well SM has really good bands.

SM Ent: It has lots of talented artistes but it had decreased since Shinhwa, FTTS left SM Though I ain't favourable of how they wants to earn lots and lots of money by treating their artistes badly, I do have to say they might be the one of the most successful companies; back when they just started, they had H.O.T, S.E.S, and now it still has DBSG, KangTa, BoA and lots more
YG Ent: I thought YG Ent does have lots of talented singers. Unlike SM, it focus more on their talents than their popularity or looks I thought BigBang and Se7en was great singers. ^^
JYP Ent: If not for Rain, this company might not be that successful Personally,I thought Rain ain't that good singer. I thought Byul[Star] was better in singing, however, she ain't getting that many recognition as it I thought So is JYP Ent that successful as compared to YG or SM? I don't think so! For now, the only really popular artistes it has should be Rain, but will the "Rain Effect" be that lasting? I myself, don't really think so! Also, I thought Lim Jeong Hee is too pop-ish and R&Bish But good luck to her in the debuting of America
Which companies has better singers?
Actuyally, I thought this depends on each user own taste and it's quite hard for me since I like artistes from SM, Byul and Se7en xD
SM Ent: It does have better singers KangTa is great singer whom I really like, DongBangShinKi is a good band where each members have their own strengths and as compared to other band/groups, I think they are currently the best BoA gained quite a big popularity around the world, but as I was listening to her music, I realize she tends to have something missing in her voice which makes me feels that she's lacking As for SuperJunior, they are young and are medicore singers They are a group of 13 people with an average of 20 years old, they still have many years to move on and to improve. However, I reckon each of them had their own strengths; CSJH does have potential and I like it when they sings together ^^ They are good singers but aren't getting any promotion by SM As for Jang Ri-in, I was amaze by her singing and her voice, and she currently might be the best newcomer xD
YG Ent: I guess I doesn't have to futhur mention on what I had written abt my thought on Se7en and BigBang I'm glad YG are promotng them to the other countries ^^
JYP Ent: Is Rain good? I don't think so He still have lots and lots of improvement to be done His dance is good, but his singing?? And I don't like how he tends to show off his body and the audience could go haywire! I prefer to go for talents than looks As for Byul, she is good at singing ballads
Good Ent: I only know Shinhwa and Sunmin who are currenty the better singers Sunmin is good newcomer and she has lots of popularity in Japan while I have never doubts Shinhwa in their singing xP

hmm... It is a hard decision for me to choose SM / YG ent in both caterogy

YG has more talent and better singers than the other companies.

SM has more success because they know how to market their artists to all the fan girlies.

sm knows how to market their artist...but the thing is that their artist are known more as ENTERTAINER more than as artists and the artist are really really overworked...wit sm if ure good...ure gonna be pushed if u aint...ure left behind to get watever popularity u can w/o much promotion...the only good one that i really like is dbsk...but SM SUCKS CUZ THEY OVER WORK THEIR ARTIST LIKE KRAZY!

yg ent is the best...they focus on talent...they got some mad artist...all their artist can sing and wat not...the only thing i dont like is they dont market their artist...se7ens expanding and wat not...big bang is also but they need to do more promotion...cuz they got some very very talented ppl there...

sm is very goos at marketing their artists, so i really think they are more successful for that factor.
and, a bunch of the sm artists are good, and i rather them than others, but i still think that some artists from the other entertainment companies have great potential... but i think that the sm ones are a bit better.

I think SM are quite successful because they can market their artists well regardless they do tend to overwork them (remind me of Johnny's Entertainment from Japan). To me, SM is like an Idol making company while other company focus on talent. However, I do see SM likes to hold up audition outside of Korea (e.g. China, the U.S., etc.) to get more singers who can sing in other language beside Korean.

SM Entertainment. I know almost all the artists of SM Entertainment and I only know some of the artists of other Company. I'm also amazed at SM's success abroad. They've produced the BIG NAMES in the MUSIC INDUSTRY like HOT, SES, SHINHWA, FTTS, BOA, DBSK, SUJU and now...Jang Ri In, who's also becoming quite famous in the Industry.

Some of their talents might have transferred to other labels already yet they can't still deny the fact that SM made them famous.

Despite all the bad things I heard about SM, I'm still amazed at their power to create such BIG STARS.

YG is more.. R&B and hiphop rite, and SM is pop and boyband! and so no doubt SM is more popular, for girls it's more boys to be obsessed bout. i mean, look at super junior, there's 13 members! and so they would have to female fans thus more popular.

I don't know much about the other artists, but I have a particularly strong (anti) feeling towards SM Entertainment.

SM is able to MARKET their stars like crazy. I think they appear in twice the shows and performances than their counterparts from other companies. Henceforth, the incredibly wide exposure BUT also the incredible amount of overworking. I don't know about the other groups, but from what I've heard... most stars have a natural progression and improvement in their skills as they sing and are exposed more to the public. SM tries to train their artists' to their maximum potential BEFORE their debut... which contributes a lot to their huge success. BUT I also heard that SM's stars are primarily not as popular in Korea as they are in other countries (ie: Japan, China, Singapore, etc)... the other company's stars are MUCH more widely accepted and approved of in Korea.

But I definitely agree that SM tries to create IDOLS first and THEN performers. All their artists are very well rounded -- and SM has the power to only allow its artists to show only their 'best' side -- in terms of performance and stage charisma.... In my opinion, talent is coincidental in SM Entertainment... they are actively seeking stars that are as pretty/cute/hot as they are talented ... rather than JUST talent.

I mean, come on, if you spent 5-6 years training to become a singer/dancer/performer... I think at the end of that period, you'd be a pretty good entertainer. It's like they always say: 5% natural talent, 95% hard work.

I've been reading a thread in the Critic's Hangout that talks about comparing YG Entertainment to EEG company (HK), and they were basically commenting on how it is the trend for companies these day to search for looks first and THEN talent; a lot of people were quite upset. I think the poster was getting his/her information wrong because recently I've been more interested in YG Entertainment lately (SE7EN and Big Mama) and I've come to realize that YG genuinely has talented artists and do not try and create idols. In SM Entertainment, I think that they probably do something where they look at looks as well. I mean, come on, there is NO WAY that all their artists can be as attractive as they are and THAT talented...! Big Mama has some incredible powerhouse vocals, but they aren't considered 'pretty,' and therefore not quite as mainstream popular as most of SM's stars. I think that SM has a tendency to search for looks as well as talent. There may be a more talented person you there (and it could be as small as a few points or percentage-points) but whoever is prettier is going to get in. It's like they have a scoreboard where looks AND talent are scored and no just talent.

An interesting comment to note was that someone commented that SM will search for attractive stars and then TRAIN them to become good singers and performers. If you think about that... it seems to be completely true.

For sure it'd be SM Entertainment for both, right now their singers are hot.
JYP for some reason, I only know of Rain and Lim Jeong Hee. I also know Byul but their not as big, only Rain.
Their a lot more free and are extremely well connected to the States.

YG Entertainment is also really big but their more hip-hop while compared to SM which is pop. They also have huge stars like Se7en, 1tym, and Big Bang.

SM Entertainment has Kangta and BoA, their biggest promoters. Now they have Dong Bang Shin Ki whom are the most successful these past few years. They've won four DongSaeng awards this year and it seems like they might win some more.
Super Junior, although not having as big as success, they have a wide fan base and are greatly appreciated by others.
Cheon Sang Ji Hee, changed their image to "The Grace" and are making themselves more conservative, they may lose some more fans but I'm glad they are making this choice. I'm not too fond of BoA, I'm not an anti I just don't bother to listen to her music and I know that SM is extremely strict. I'm biased towards them because I love Dong Bang Shin Ki but to what I've seen on shows and award shows, SM really does know how to promote their singers.

A downside is that he makes them go all over Asia and promote. They are already super popular everywhere like BoA, in Korea and now that she's been staying in Japan, she only visits Korea ever so often. Dong Bang Shin Ki is now in Japan and they seem to be staying there for two years (rumors I've heard) who knows what will happen to them. To promote their album is a good excuse but they don't need two years to do that. They may lose fans in Korea and I don't want that to happen.

SM Entertainment overall wins in success because you hear from them all the time. As of this year and time, SM also wins in singers because all of them are successfull. But you never know with Rain's world concert, Se7en's acting in Goong S and plus all the new trainees coming along.

Though SM are very strict with their stars they really know how to promote their singers i mean most of their singers are very famous.

even though i don't like SM as a company..lee soo man sure knows how 2 train his people..and promote his artists! most of groups/artists that SM promoted have been heavily popular! ie. H.O.T and dbsg..

i would say SM also although i love JYP.

hmm... interesting info. some singers i didn't even know what record company thy're under since i dont really pay attention to these sort of things. even my fav northamerican/brit artist i dont really know what record company they worked for and i dont really care, as long as i like the music that's all that matters.

but based on the info it's kinda hard to tell which has more success since each seemed to hav their own well known and talented singers. if ses, hot, ftts were from sm and some of you said even shinwha then i'd say sm had more successes (hot was the only one i'd known from sm, the rest had no clue). presently since dbsk seemed to be the hottest group atm i guess sm still has the leads. tho se7en's sure popular too. for female group i dont think there are any good ones that stands out for any recording companies. for me ses was the only one i really liked and i tend to like american female singers more than asian female singers.

nways yeah sm seemed to overworked their artist a lot, esp in case of dbsk, hopefully they'd get few weeks off from work & be able to spend time with their families. tho exposure's nice but too much can also be harmful in so many ways, so sm should giv their artist some break cuz health is important too.

Asian ppl would say SM more successful.But Asian and American would go for JYP.So i think both successfull.SM different than JYP.Cuz both produce different style.JYP hopes their artist not only focuz in Asia but the states too so their music must be mix korean-american style which less asian ppl would like especially the korean.They could not really except experimental and more advanced music.But Rain bravely release his experimental songs'I'm coming' recently and get great responds from the public espeacially overseas fans.So ppl who loves mix korean-american pop music would go for JYP.But ppl who stick to original korean music will choose SM.

I admit SM is successfull in Asia. But in my opinion,JYP is more successfull cuz Rain
's is the most successfull korean artist.He's the only asian can perform at madison square garden,VMA and american music award and nominated as the 100th most influential ppl in the world in TIME mag.Many american artist like P.Diddy,Omarion,Jojo and more that support him.Even the famous designer Ralph Lauren and his wife becoming his number one fans.And rain's manager,JYPark even work and produce album for Will Smith,Hilary durf,outkast and more.So that's y i say JYP more successfull.

Sm more talented artist than JYP.THis is because JYP is too busy with Rain.Rain's famous.To prepare for rain world tour already used a lot of times and money cuz the production cost is too expensive in order to create a world class concert.

this question is hard to answer, because it depends on personal feelings... there are still people out there who dont know anything about the artists from these three companies so u cant say that a particular one is more successful...

for my personal likings, i would say i like the singers from SM... they can sing, can dance, can act and of course, there may be more hidden talents...

I have to say SM for both.... The reason is because if you look carefully, SM is abe to promote their singers more than any other company... I see more SM singers than I do any other company... and I think they have very good talent the singers themselves.... TVXQ, CSHJ, Jang Ri In, Boa, Etc. They are all really good singers and TVXQ is one of the most popular singing groups right now and Boa is also very popular herself.... So I think SM has the best.....

i think that Sm have good singers...okay let me rephrase that... they have talented...i mean very talented stars like my lovely Jae joong...*which is one of the best singer in SM .... pls don't hit me* but i think it's because their stars are more publicize.... you know.... like commercial ads, mini dramas, shows, and many more... the other entertainment, they do do that too, but not as much... well, that's what i think.... but i think all the entertainment have so very talented singers like Seven, hyori and my all time unchanged heart FTTS ...but i happen to love Hero in DBSK.... hehehehe....so it all evens out!!!
